"Last day of camp"
Everyone began hearing the alarm Yaz was now limping all the way towards the others. "Attention. All park-goers must report to the South Ferry Dock for immediate evacuation. Last ferry departs in two hours" a voice said.
"That's it? No explanations? That's all we get?" Summer asked.
"We gotta get out of here, fast. We can make it if we run." Noah said.
Sammy looked back at Yaz who's limping "Are you sure that's the best way to get there?" Sammy asked.
"I'm fine. I've competed with a torn ACL." Yaz said.
She pointed at the back "You should be way more worried about Ben and Bumpy." she said.
"I agree if we want to make time I say we ditch the overgrown turtle." Crash said.
"What we should all be worried about is catching a boat out of here and, naturally, we have a problem." Ben said.
He pulled out a map he pointed at main street "We're here. The docks are on the southern tip of the island. Even if we ran at peak Yaz speed, there's no way we'd make the last boat out." Ben said.
"Well that's changes things." Crash said.
"You don't know that." Sammy said to Ben.
"Yes, I do. I memorized the evacuation plan on the ferry ride over." Ben said.
Everyone groan "Now I preferred to get eaten." Crash said.
The monorail appeared and everyone thought luck is on their side. They walked up the stairs Ben and Bumpy were behind with Yaz. "We gotta move!" Summer said.
"It's nice havin' some company back here for once." Ben said to Yaz.
"I'm fine." Yaz said.
Crash saw Toro walking around. Everyone took cover when Toro wasn't looking Summer took a run and head for the stairs. Crash took a chance he was almost spotted by Toro. The carnotasurus moved closer good thing he didn't see any of them. Everyone were on the stairs. Crash and Summer made it to the top Crash almost cheered when Summer covered his mouth to prevent him from signaling Toro.
The monorail arrived "Please stay by for opened doors." the automatic voice spoke.
This caught Toro's attention. He chased them up the stairs luckily stairs weren't built for dinosaurs. Toro kept tripping on the stairs. Crash, Summer, and Sammy hold the doors open so the others can get in. Ben and Bumpy got in. Noah carried Yaz through and once everyone got in Crash allowed the doors to close and they made their getaway from Toro.
"Please remind me to never come back here." Crash said.
Everyone now cheered they escaped.
"This calls for a celebration." Summer said.
"I might be able to help with that." Ben said.
Ben grabbed some candy "Stashed a few treats for the road." Ben said.
"Ooh, sweet!" Sammy said.
"I'm starving." Summer said.
"Guess Benny is useful." Crash said.
Everyone but Crash grabbed one of those candy bars.
As soon as they ate it they spit it out. "This stuff is nasty!" Sammy said.
Crash laughed "Suckers." he laughed.
Bumpy ate some "Ben, someone stole your candy bars and put dirt in 'em." Sammy said.
"They're carob bars." They pair perfectly with..." Ben said.
"Carob juice." Noah said.
"Carob is nature's chocolate. Just as delicious, with none of the sugar of caffeine." Ben said.
Summer seemed shocked "What's wrong with sugar and caffeine?" she asked Ben.
"First thing when I get back is hug my dad's coffee machine. I might not let it go." she said.
"I bet my little arch enemy would think he can be coffee." Crash said.
"I cannot wait to be home. Once my ankle's better, it's back to training. And I guess finding a new corporate sponsor, since mine was Jurassic World. But you know..." Yaz said.
"It might be werid for thing to be normal again." Noah said.
"Like if video games seem boring?" Crash asked.
"Probably." Crash said.
"What are you going to do Crash?" Noah asked.
"Hey Noah why act like he's your best bro? He's treated us like garbage the whole time." Summer said.
"He's got a reason for it." Noah said.
"So, what have you missed Ben?" Sammy asked.
"I'm gonna take a guess go into your closet of dork punches." Crash said.
Summer and Sammy laughed but not Ben "Ha, ha. Very funny." he said, annoyed.
"You've had a lot of juice boxes since day one!" Noah said.
"How much stuff can you fit in that thing?" Crash asked.
"One, lots, and two, obviously the first thing I'm gonna do when I get back is restock it." Ben said.
Everyone laugh "I'm seriously picturing you're gonna look like Rambo." Crash said.
Crash found some flashlights "I still can't believe how much went wrong." Summer said.
"Like that time we almost got eaten?" She reminded the others.
"Which time? How was there more than one time?" Yaz asked.
"Let's raise our carob juice. A toast! To not getting eaten!" Noah made a toast.
"To not getting eaten!" everyone toasted.
Everyone drink their carob juice the other five didn't like it expcet for Ben. Summer got up "To no more running away!" she toasted.
"Something tells me that's gonna keep happening." Crash said.
Sammy gave her carob juice to Bumpy. "To the return of a low-level gnawing dread rather than an all-encompassing impending doom!" Ben toasted.
"That seems a bit too long." Noah said.
"Well why not!" Crash toasted.
"I got one!" Sammy said.
Out of nowhere an explosion was heard it shook everyone "What was that?" Summer asked.
Everyone looked out the windows "That sounded like a explosion." Yaz said.
"I don't see anything." Summer said.
"Samy here." Crash said.
"It doesn't sound like it was near us." Noah said.
Everyone was quiet Crash spoke to Sammy "So ranch girl your toast?" he asked.
"I know camp wasn't what we thought it was gonna be. But after everything we went through, at least we're leavin's this place with five new friends!" Sammy said.
"To the six of us being best friends for life!" she said.
Everyone was silent "Guys? Hello? Wait, do you guys not see us as friends?" she asked.
"Well doesn't it usually take more than a few days to become friends with someone?" Summer asked.
"We were thrown together at random. We have nothing in common." Yaz said.
"That's not true! We've been through more together than most friends have in a lifetime." Sammy said.
"And now that it's over, what are the odds that we'll ever see each other again?" Ben asked.
Everyone now sat in thought "Hey Noah I don't think anyone asked what's your family like?" Crash asked.
"Seriously why act like he's your brother?" Summer asked.
"Wanna get on my nerves YouTuber?" Crash was about to attack her.
"Crash maybe just tell them." Noah said.
Crash had a sad look. Everyone was looking at him "On my seventh birthday, my family were playing games in my house but some guy named Daniel Kon and his son came in and said we needed to get out of the house because there were some vermin. It was their lie just to get us out, then they burned our first home down. We've became poor and I've never forget Kenji and any of his friends." Crash said.
He shed a tear of sadness. Everyone now felt sorry and understand why he's sometimes cruel to them.
"Come on, it's gotta be here somewhere." Ben said.
He had his dork pouch and emptied it out "Oh!" he found his hand sanitizer.
"Bumpy stepped in something icky and I'm low on sanitizer." Ben said.
"It's fine. I can make more." Ben said.
"Okay so I'm pretty much here to deal with my social interactions but Ben, how come you're here?" Crash asked.
"You're scared of dinosaurs, and the outdoors, and sometimes the indoors, and germs." Noah said.
"Whipped cream for some reason?" Sammy brought up something Ben said.
"The way it moves." Ben shudders.
"Well kinda like that. How come you're here?" Crash asked.
"My mom works for Mr. Masrani. She got me into camp. Said it would be a great way for me to "face my fears." It's been a nightmare! I'm sicked of being scared all the time. And of running, and of almost getting eaten, and... and of holding everyone back. I just can't do... this." Ben said.
Everyone had pity in their eyes Bumpy looked at Ben. "But it's not all bad." Ben said.
"If I hadn't come, I... I never would have met..." Ben was cut off as the monorail shook again.
Noah checked the window and saw the Pteranodons coming for them. Noah knew it was the light drawing their attention. Crash gave eveyrone but Ben a flashlight and they began smashing the lights. Summer saw the monorail was about to hit another one which could possibly kill them.
Ben climbed out of the monorail and entered the first car and switched the tracks everyone cheered for Ben but another Pteranodon smashed through the monorail and grabbed Ben. Noah grabs Ben's hand the two looked at each other worried if Noah wasn't going to be sucessful in saving him.
