Che-low once again my ever lovely and loyal peeps!
So now that we have established that the MHA world will indeed be involved with the Marvel world, it's time to start fucking with its timeline. As everyone looks up and reviews what Xero can do, what HAS he been doing all this time?
Fully aware of certain truths of the MHA world and confirming that the anime's timeline IS the timeline from where they came from. That allows the Avengers to not only learn about their new enemies in the new world but can give the people of Earth dimension 727 a fighting chance to stop the worst from happening.
Like Ragdoll losing her quirk to All For One, Bakugo being kidnapped, and All Might's forced retirement. But that's not what we're focusing on, as its quite clear the LOV now has the Cult on its side, Xero has decided to...even the odds so to speak, and right some wrongs, hence the name of this interlude.
Seeing how long it's taking me to finish the next chapter, i decide to write this chapter, to set the stage for the next curve ball of this story and how far Xero is going to interefere with another world.
So, I won't take up much of your time, so let's jump into it.
As always i own nothing so please read, review and "What the fuc-BOOM"
Interlude 4: Righting A Wrong
The alarms blaring loudly woke her up from her slumber, idly making her wonder just what kind of idiot would attempt to break into the world's deadliest prison without at least disabling them first.
Seriously, does no one watch prison break out movies anymore?
"I wonder who they're here for?"
There were plenty of dangerous and deadly criminals ripe for the picking, save for her. She could easily image a lot of villains and not so nice people would want her dead for all the people she herself killed over the years or perhaps, the oh so clean and pure Hero Public Safety Commission decide that she knew too much.
Maybe they decide it was time for her to dead for her quote "sins" end quote. People say that there is good and then there is evil, the line between the two, hero and villain, is clear. People say a hero is pure, uncorrupted and unbeatable, always able to find light within the darkness, no matter how deep that darkness may be. People say that the hero will always save the day, no matter how dire the situation becomes.
But they were wrong.
Doing what was right is not always clear cut.
The ones who carry the title hero aren't always pure of heart, virtuous and kind.
The hero doesn't always win and save the day.
Sometimes, the hero fails and at worse, dies for their efforts as a result.
Sometimes a hero succumbs to the darkness in their hearts, the impulses to do what they want, when they want, HOWEVER they want leads the 'heroes' astray.
She should know, for she was Kaina Tsutsumi aka the fallen hero, Lady Nagant had done her fair share of killing villains AND heroes. No, not the kind of heroes like All Might, ones who really, truly stood for truth and justice, but the ones that abused their power. Thanks to her quirk, Rifle, making her a long-range fighter and ideal sniper as well.
Once upon a time, she really, truly believed in the Hero Public Safety Commission and the so called "Peace and order" they proclaimed they protect. They didn't do anything, as it was HER who did all the dirty work and when the chips were down, someone needing to take the blame, they didn't hesitate to throw her under the bus.
In her younger days, she might have tried to fight back, try to reveal the truth to the world. Back then she had an optimistic outlook in her desire to be a great hero but was led down a dark path by her superiors; having been trained to kill villains and corrupt heroes, sometimes unjustly, who were threatening to disrupt the order in society. Her repeated killings resulted in Kaina becoming disillusioned, and she soon fell into a depressive state upon realizing that the Hero Commission maintains a fragile and hollow peace at the expense of others, while hypocritically justifying that their actions are for the good of everyone. Kaina eventually reached her breaking point upon seeing some young children awe in admiration over her, realizing that the youth of society wholly admire Heroes and wish to become them while not being aware of the bloodshed that occurs behind the scenes.
When she decided that she was done with it all, done with all the killing, both heroes and villains in any form, her superior at the time attempted to intimidate her into staying, sharing veiled threats. The stress of everything, the blood drenching her hands of friend and foe alike, the sheer hypocrisy of it all made her snap and kill the bastard right then and there.
Thus, she was imprisoned in Tartarus and with her now cynical views of society as a whole, stayed her tongue.
After all, what good would it do? Their entire society is based around the pureness and goodness of heroes, trying to tell the world what truly happens in the shadows would change nothing.
Villains will still run rampant as much as they can, heroes will try to stop them, while some become just like the villains and then there's the oppressive laws regarding quirks in general. While the laws regarding quirks were clear, it was inflexible, rigid even and if it wouldn't bend even slightly, it would break sooner or later.
It was like a dam trying to hold back a tilde wave, if the pressure kept building with no relief, then sooner or later, it WOULD break.
And more innocent people will die as a result.
She of course knew of the quirk less, those that were the lowest of the low, looked down by pretty much everyone, even those with useless quirks. While she herself had nothing against those people, many others took advantage of society's uncaring attitude towards the powerless and knew that would be yet another boiling point that would cause, what she mentally called:
The Great Collapse.
Sooner or later, the resentment, the hate, would boil over. Seeing as how everyone put so much importance on quirks, nobody would expect a quirk less person or those with useless quirks to be much of a threat and truth be told, they wouldn't. The problem with this kind of thinking is that while ONE person might not be much of a threat, MANY people together and organized COULD be a threat if they do it.
Powerful quirk or not, all it takes is one lucky bullet to hit its mark and its game over.
Kaina knew that for a fact, she was a sniper after all.
"Kaina Tsutsumi?"
Rather then jump in shock like most people would, the former hero slowly turned her head to see who was brave enough to break into the maxium security prison just to see her appreantly. Her eyebrows slowly rose up, as she saw a figured decked out in a black cloak of all things with a skull mask.
Interesting choice of clothing.
More importantly, how did he get into her cell with no one noticing? Her cell was located in the deepest, darkest pits of the prison had to offer with little to no hope of escape for anyone.
So how did he do it?
"Yes?"
The cloaked figure knelt down, bowing its, his? head at her, ""My master to speak with you, Lady Kaina."
"Your master does realize that this is the most secure prison in the world, right? The fact you say he sent you to 'speak' with me and not 'retrive' me, means i'm can turn down his offer to talk, yes?"
"Yes, you can Lady Kaina."
"Even after all the effort your master went through to get into this prison?"
"Even then, my lady. This is completely your choice to come along with me or not but my master did tell me to pass this on: You can refuse and stay here, rotting away for the rest of your days or come talk to me and take your fate into your own hands, rather then allow someone else to decide it for you."
Well, when you put it like that...
Standing up, the tall woman spoke, "How do we get out of here?"
The cloaked figured stood up and touched his forehead, like he was speaking into some sort of mic or something, when a blue/purple portal suddenly opened up behind him. The man, who she assumed was a man, gestured towards it, "Shall we go, my lady?"
"We shall."
Many months from now, the wardan of Tartarus would be fired for his incompetence and the escape of the Fallen Hero, Lady Nagant escape would send a ripple throughout hero society for years to come.
And it won't be the last ripple either.
Done.
BOOM!
Yep, if you haven't figured it out yet, Lady Nagant will indeed be joining the Avengers and become apart of Xero's time. But oh boy, she won't be the only one who gets rescused. Who wants to guess who's coming next?
Here's a hint, they're shown in MHA season 4.
That's all for now.
Devil out!
