Chapter VII
It was the first day after the Citadel had been completed. The girls were excited to see Ichika again as they heard that he was going to be in class for a while. Rin said "I can't wait to see Ichika in class once again!" to which all the other girls said the same thing. While they were on the way to the classrooms, a broadcast of Ichika started on a screen near the entrance of the school. Two minutes had passed before Ichika said "Welcome, welcome to the IS Academy. You have chosen, or been chosen, to relocate to one of the finest schools on this planet. I thought so much of this Academy that I elected to establish my Administration here, in the Citadel so thoughtfully provided by our 'benefactors'. So, whether you are here to learn, or passing through on your way to parts unknown, welcome to the IS Academy, it's safer here", then the broadcast ended. The harem asked themselves "What was that?" and a soldier nearby told his comrade "Did they really make him copy Dr. Breen?" to which his comrade replied "Quiet. They can't find out". The harem moved on to get to their classrooms.
15 minutes later…
Houki had arrived at her classroom to be reprimanded by Chifuyu for being late.
"Houki, why are you late?"
"I-I- "
"No excuses! You will be punished for insolence!" Chifuyu said before attempting to hit Houki only to be stopped by Ichika.
"Chifuyu-nee, students should be treated with respect, y'know?"
"I'm sorry, I-Ichika, but she was late!"
"Let her pass this once, please?"
"…F-Fine"
"That's what I like to hear. Now, please go to your seat, Houki"
The girls were charmed by Ichika but were amazed to see how casual he was in front of their homeroom teacher.
"Alright, Ichika, say whatever it is you want to say" Chifuyu said.
"M'kay. Class, I am glad that I am back here to see all of you still in good shape. The Citadel is quite a place, it doesn't really have much detailed interior as it is an armoury. In the four to six months when I was gone, I always thought of what would happen when I came back. I wished that you guys would still be a-okay. All of you were significant to my life, especially your Orimura-sensei here and your classmate Houki Shinonono. I am confident that under the Union, this planet will prosper. Once again, as I have said in the broadcast you may or may not have heard earlier, welcome to the IS Academy, it's safer here. Now, any questions?"
"Are you still gonna train with us?" a girl asked.
"Let's see… hmm… I think I'll be able to train with you guys every Tuesday and Thursday"
"Can you eat with me later?" Houki asked.
"Oh… sure, I'll eat with you"
2 hours later…
Houki arrived on the rooftop to be greeted by Ichika being guarded by a Suppressor.
"I-Ichika, do you mind if… if…"
"Oh, him? Sorry. You, I'll see you back at the Citadel"
"Copy" the Suppressor replied before leaving.
"Come sit here beside me, let's eat"
When Houki sat down, she asked Ichika "How's your life going?"
"It's fine, if not very good. I got to see you, so now I think it's very good"
"O-Oh really? W-Well, I got to see you so I guess I'm happy too"
When Houki said that, the rest of the harem barged in.
"You can't keep him all to yourself, Houki!" Cecilia said.
"Yeah! We should also be with him!" Rin said.
"G-Guys, can you calm down?" Charles said.
"Why?" Rin asked.
"She's asking you to calm down as she doesn't want this to end up like last time, remember?" Ichika said.
"R-Right. Sorry about that" Rin replied.
"It's alright. Now all of you, come sit down here with me" Ichika said before the rest of the harem sat down with him.
"W-What are these clothes you're wearing, Ichika?" Laura asked.
"This is my preferred outfit, and I look good in it, right?"
"Y-Yeah, I guess…"
"By the way, where are those guards of yours, Ichika?" Houki asked.
"The one earlier or my personal guards?"
"Your personal ones"
"They're off to meet with my Advisors', they'll be back here in an hour or so"
"I see. So, should we eat, then?"
"M'kay. Dig in, everybody!" Ichika said before all of them ate.

Ichika had gone back to the Citadel to meet with Becker and Watanabe. Watanabe asked "So… which one of the girls are you gonna choose to be your 'partner'?" to which Becker asked the same thing. Ichika said "If I were to choose one of them, I'd choose Houki". Both asked why, to which Ichika replied "She's a childhood friend and she can be friendly too, that's why I like her". While they were talking, a screen activated with an Advisor asking to speak to Ichika.
"What is it, Your Excellency?" Ichika asked.
"We seek to start creating more Overwatch soldiers from this Earth"
"Oh… I have an idea then, Your Excellency"
"What is it?"
"We can create more soldiers by getting the criminals of this planet to be turned into soldiers, especially death row inmates"
"Your idea is well-thought of, colonel"
"Thank you, Your Excellency"
"Well then, I'll see you when the time comes, understood?"
"Yes, Your Excellency" Ichika replied before the Advisor went off.
"What was that about?" Becker asked.
"We're gonna start making more soldiers for the transhuman arm of the Combine Overwatch"
"From what? Normal citizens?"
"Prisoners, in fact"
"They'll be brainwashed anyways, so that's a good idea"
"But what if the girls found out?"
"They won't. I'll make sure of it" Ichika said before leaving for his home.

Ichika had arrived home to see Chifuyu and the harem together.
"I was wondering what the noise was all about. I didn't know you guys were here"
"Ichika!" the harem said.
"Chifuyu-nee, how's your day going? Are they behaving?"
"They are. Do you want me to cook something for you?"
"I reckon I'll do it instead, for all of you guys"
"Do you need help, then?"
"No need. I can do this"
20 minutes later…
The food was done and Ichika, Chifuyu, and the harem all sat down. For one minute, all was silent until Ichika asked "So, besides Chifuyu, how was your day? Cecilia, Rin, Laura, Houki, Charles?".
"Oh, i-it was fine" Charles said.
"Well… we didn't see you for half the day so we waited here hoping you would come" Laura said.
"I see. So, are you happy now that I'm here?"
"I-I… W-We…" the harem said but were blushing at the same time.
"Judging by the looks on your faces, I'm guessing that's a yes" Ichika said which made the harem blush again.
"Ichika how's… Becker doing?" Chifuyu asked.
"Why do you ask?" Ichika asked back in a very teasing tone.
"Oh… well… just answer my question!"
"Geez, he's doing fine. Why? You like him or something?"
"W-Well… it's not that I like him"
"M'kay, all I wanna say is he likes you, y'know"
"You do know your comms are still on, right?" Becker said through the earpiece Ichika was wearing.
"Oh shit, sorry about that but I just think she likes you too"
"Screw you, just shut off your comms" which made Ichika shut off his comms.
"I-Ichika, girls, if any of you talk about what happened here, you're gonna get a beating, understood?" Chifuyu said.
"Gotcha there, sis" Ichika said while the girls said "Yes, Ma'am!".
*knock* *knock*
"Who's that?" Laura asked.
"I don't know, I'll check" Ichika said as he pulled out the pistol used by Civil Protection. When Ichika arrived at the door and opened it, it turned out that Tabane Shinonono, sister of Houki, was there to greet Chifuyu. "Chifuyu, it's good to see you again!" Tabane said before trying to give Chifuyu a hug to which Chifuyu put her hand on Tabane's face.
"Come on! I came here to give you a hug!" Tabane said.
"Can you calm down first?" Chifuyu asked.
"By the way Ichika, do you always carry a pistol around with you now?"
"That's right, it's for my own protection. And by the way, can't you just let Tabane hug you once? If not, she can hug me instead"
"Fine, I'll let her hug me just for once" Chifuyu said before Tabane gave her a hug.
"By the way Ichika, why are you dressed like that?" Tabane asked.
"That's because I'm the leader of this planet now"
"W-What? What do you mean leader?"
"I'm the Administrator, my office is at the top of the tallest building you see out there"
"Really?"
"Yeah. Now, let's enjoy the rest of the evening, shall we?"
"Yeah!" everyone else said.

It was the day that Ichika was to announce the transfer of prisoners to be secretly transformed into Overwatch soldiers. The harem had heard that he was making a very important announcement to the world, so they were wondering what it was. A minute later, a broadcast played in different areas around the world with Ichika saying "Hello, I am Ichika Orimura, the planet's Interim Administrator and the only male that can pilot an IS. I wanted to tell you and your respective governments that all prisoners, especially death row inmates, will be given a second chance. What we mean by that is they will become soldiers for the Union and hope that they can do the right thing once again. We strongly encourage you to comply. And with that, stay safe, and have a very great day" and then the broadcast ended.
"He's making even the deadliest criminals have a better life in their military, how nice of him" Charles said.
"Nice? They're criminals, they deserve to stay in prison!" Cecilia said.
"Stop fighting, what's done is done, there's no changing it. The best we can do is see how it ends up" Laura said.
Meanwhile, with Ichika, Becker and Watanabe…
"That broadcast was pre-recorded, right?" Becker asked.
"It was, and I'm very sure of it" Ichika replied.
While they were talking, Tabane came up to Becker.
"Who are you?" Tabane asked.
"I am Lukas Becker, Ichika's personal bodyguard. And this is Haruo Watanabe, his other personal bodyguard"
"You have a nice uniform" Tabane said.
"Danke" Becker said.
"Ikkun, how are you doing so far?" Tabane asked.
"I'm doing well, seeing as you're well… almost as beautiful as your sister"
As they kept talking, Chifuyu had noticed Becker with Tabane and instantly got jealous of her and came right up to them and held Becker by the arm.
"U-Um… Chifuyu, what are you doing?" Ichika asked.
"What were you guys talking about?" Chifuyu asked.
"W-We were just talking about our uniforms, that's all" Becker replied.
"Why is she acting like she'll kill Tabane when she's with me?" Becker whispered to Ichika.
"She's being possessive, yet another sign she actually likes you" Ichika whispered back.
"Becker, let's go" Chifuyu said.
"W-What? I'm sorry, can you repeat that?"
"Just come with me!" Chifuyu said before pulling Becker away.
"Does Becker have your blessing?" Watanabe asked.
"If she treats my sister the right way, then he won't have problems with me"
"Alright, then. Tabane, do you… wanna come with us?" Watanabe asked.
"O-Oh… sure!" Tabane replied before coming with the duo.
Meanwhile, where Becker and Chifuyu are…
"Ch-Chifuyu, you can stop pulling me now"
"Alright, let's talk"
"Do you… like me perhaps?"
When Becker asked that, Chifuyu had immediately become embarrassed.
"I-I want to ask something I've been meaning to ask for a long time…"
"What is it then?"
"B-Becker, I was wondering… W-Would you perhaps… go out with me just once?"
"Uhhh…"
"You can say 'no' if you want to!"
"I-It's not that, it's just that this is the first time I've been asked this"
"O-Okay. So… do you have an answer?"
"I'm okay with going out with you, I'll have to tell Ichika though"
"Don't! I don't want anyone else to know"
"Alright. So, when do you want me to go out with you?"
"On Saturday. Is… that okay with you?"
"Works for me. See you on Saturday, then"
"S-See you too"
"You guys are having a really nice conversation, I see" Ichika said all of a sudden.
"I-Ichika!" Chifuyu said in embarrassment.
"Sup Ichika, your sister here just asked me out" Becker said.
"Don't tell him that!"
"It's okay. You already have my blessing" Ichika said before winking at Becker.
"Chifuyu, see you on Saturday" Becker said before leaving with Ichika.
"B-Bye" Chifuyu said.
1 hour later…
All the girls had changed into their training attire, when Ichika decided to come with a grunt's uniform just to supervise everyone instead.
"Alright everyone, start training!" Chifuyu shouted.
"Chifuyu-nee, you know what you should train for instead?" Ichika asked.
"What is it?"
"Train on how to stop getting embarrassed in front of Becker"
"Don't talk about that here" Chifuyu whispered in an embarrassing tone.
"Sorry 'bout that, I had to"
"Ichika! Do you wanna train with us?" Cecilia and the harem asked.
"It's Tuesday, right. Alright! I'll get changed, and then I'll train with you guys!" Ichika said before going to the changing rooms.
5 minutes later…
A spar between Laura and Ichika had started. Laura had assumed that Ichika was still bad at handling his IS, and immediately went straight at Ichika. However, Ichika had easily become aware of his surroundings due to the intense training he went through to become part of the Combine Overwatch. Ichika dodged any attack Laura put him through and immediately struck Laura, which shocked everyone, as Ichika took Laura down in one hit.
"So, Laura, how you feeling?" Ichika asked.
"H-How did you…?"
"Every person has a weakness, yours was thinking I didn't change when it came to handling an IS"
"I see you have improved, Ichika" said Tatenashi.
"Ah, Tatenashi. It's good to see you again, how are things going for you?"
"Things are going fine for me"
"Good to hear"
"So… could we hang out later?"
"Lemme see… I think we can, maybe in an hour. Is that okay with you… Tatenashi?"
"That'll be okay. I'll see you later now"
"Alright, see you" Ichika said before helping Laura up.
"Laura, how are you feeling, by the way?"
"I-I'm okay, thanks for helping me up"
"No problem. I mean, that's what a 'bride' is for, right?"
At that statement, Laura felt a little shocked to see that Ichika had called her his 'bride', which made her really happy.
"Y-You think of me… as your 'bride'?"
"Well… after some thinking, I thought, 'Why not?'. You're really cute, you know that?" Ichika said with a smile.
Laura then hugged Ichika out of utter joy when he said that, which Ichika was okay with. However, the rest of the harem saw this and easily got jealous of Laura.
"She's having Ichika all to herself!" Rin said.
"Time to kill him?" Cecilia asked.
"And start a war with an army we don't even know that much? I'm not doing it" Charles said.
"Let's just see what happens between them" Houki said which made the rest of the harem nod in agreement.
Meanwhile, where Chifuyu and Maya are…
"It seems that Ichika has improved" Maya said.
"It seems that way, I guess his training to become a soldier of the Union really worked out well for him"
"Yeah, I guess so"
"Hey, Chifuyu!" Becker said while accompanied by Watanabe.
"B-Becker, what are you doing here?!"
"The Union also teleportation technology so we ended up here"
"Oh, it's you two again. Hi, Haruo" Maya said with a smile.
"Hey"
"She just called you by your first name! D-Don't tell me that you're…" Becker said.
"That's supposed to be a secret, shut up" Watanabe replied.
"M-Maya, how long has this been going on?" Chifuyu asked.
"Uhhh… two months already, maybe…?"
"All I must say is nice job, Captain. You found someone considering how bad-looking you are"
"You said to me once that all soldiers were equal, so technically you're also bad looking" Watanabe said which got both a good chuckle out of them.
"I was wondering… Maya, Watanabe, would you perhaps be interested in a double date?"
"Wait, what?" Watanabe asked.
"Chifuyu wants to go out with me, so I was wondering if you guys would like to come"
"I think we'll just get in your-" Watanabe said before getting cut off by Maya.
"We'd love to come!"
"Okay, guess I'm going with Maya's answer"
"You in, Chifuyu?" Becker asked.
"Oh… r-right. Sure, they can c-come"
"Alrighty. It's on Saturday, by the way" Becker said before him and Watanabe left.
(Timeskip)
"Alright Tatenashi, what do you wanna do?" Ichika asked.
"Let's go get my sister, first"
"Okay… but I thought you wanted it to just be the two of us?"
"I think my sister can hang out with us too"
"Okay then, let's go get your sister"
Ichika and Tatenashi proceeded to try and find Kanzashi. For almost twenty minutes, they couldn't find her, until they eventually found her just going around the cafeteria.
"Kanzashi!" Ichika shouted.
"I-Ichika, sis! Hi…"
"Would you like to hang out with us?" Tatenashi asked.
"Oh, I don't know…"
"Please, Kanzashi? Just this once?" Ichika said in a charming smile.
"…O-Okay, so where do you wanna go?"
"I figure we can sit down and talk here" Ichika said.
"I-I see… okay" Kanzashi said before the trio sat down together.
"Alright, so what do you wanna talk about?" Ichika asked.
"Why are you not in your normal uniform?" Kanzashi asked.
"Oh, this? As the new leader of this planet, this is my preferred outfit" Ichika complimented on his own clothes which looked like Dr. Breen's style.
"L-Leader?"
"How does everyone not know it yet? I am the Interim Administrator, Kanzashi. I rule this planet. Earth used to be a protectorate, now it's a colony"
"W-Well… congratulations, then, on becoming our ruler, M-Mister Orimura"
"W-Wait, don't call me mister, you can still call me Ichika"
Whilst exchanging sentences with each other, Becker and Watanabe passed by.
"Ah, colonel. I guess you're… having a… *chuckling* 'fun' time…?" Becker said.
"Becker, shut up. He's clearly having a 'fun' time" said Watanabe.
"Screw you guys" Ichika replied.
"S-So you're not having fun hanging out with u-us?" Tatenashi asked.
"N-No, that's not it! I just don't like being poked"
"Okay… so can you let me kill them?"
"Wait… n-no, what are you saying all of a sudden?"
"You said you don't like being poked on, so why don't I kill them for you?"
"You do know you can't take them head-on, right?"
"I'm the academy's best, remember? I can take them out without even trying"
"Don't risk it. Even a high-powered rifle won't be able to instantly kill them"
"She may be the academy's best, but she hasn't seen Overwatch's best" Watanabe said.
"And who is that, may I ask?" Tatenashi asked.
"Our assassins move almost as fast as light" Watanabe exaggerated.
"That's simply an exaggeration. But seriously, they're hard-to-hit" Becker said.
"I've seen the assassins, they're far more deadly than you, Tatenashi. No offense, by the way" Ichika said.
"You think men will always be the stronger gender, huh?" Tatenashi said.
"Our assassins are women, by the way" Ichika replied.
"Then- wait, what? Then I take that back, I mean"
"Captain, Lieutenant, keep scouting the area. I'll see you guys later"
"Copy" both replied before leaving.
"They look… intimidating" said Kanzashi.
"That's the point of the uniform, to strike fear into those who oppose us" Ichika replied.
"And by the way, Tatenashi, Kanzashi, may I ask both of you a question?"
"What is it?" Both girls asked.
"Can you perhaps… dress up as cats for me?"
"W-Why though?" Kanzashi asked.
"Well… I think you guys would look cute, for a start"
"I-Ichika! Y-You don't n-normally talk that way…!" Tatenashi said.
"I know. But please, just for me?"
"…" both girls were quiet before Tatenashi said "Ichika, give me and my sister a minute, please?" to which Ichika agreed to.
"What should we do?" Tatenashi whispered.
"I-I don't know, you make the decision" Kanzashi replied.
"Hmm… I think we'll just do it once"
"O-Okay"
"Have you girls made a decision yet?" Ichika asked.
"W-We have…" Tatenashi replied before looking at Kanzashi.
"We'll do it"
"So, where do you want us to go?" Kanzashi asked.
"I don't know… I didn't think I'd get this far…" Ichika replied.
"How about my dorm?"
"B-But how about Laura, Charles, a-and the others?" Tatenashi asked.
"They won't find out, I promise you"
A few moments later…
Tatenashi and Kanzashi had dressed up as cats and went into Ichika's dorm, luckily finding out that no one was there. Ichika was on his way to the dorm when he spotted his harem nearby. He waited for them to pass, hearing them ask each other on where he was. Once they passed by, Ichika rushed to get to his dorm to avoid getting spotted by other girls. He got to his room later on.
"Phew, I finally got here. Well, time to see them, I guess" Ichika said before entering his dorm.
"You think he'll like our outfits?" Tatenashi asked.
"I don't know… I feel embarrassed to be wearing this" Kanzashi replied.
"Hey, guys!" Ichika said.
"Ichika! D-Do you like our outfits…?" both girls asked.
"To be honest, you guys look really cute!"
"C-Cute…? Ichika… called us cute?" both girls said while blushing and being embarrassed.
"T-Then perhaps… would you like to… lie down here with us?" Kanzashi asked.
"I'll have to take you guys up on your offer" Ichika said before getting in between them.
Tatenashi acted like a cat to Ichika, rubbing her head against him. Kanzashi, meanwhile, made the sounds of a cat.
"I must say, you guys make me feel-" Ichika said before he was unknowingly cut off.
"I-Ichika?!" the harem said after finding him in bed with Tatenashi and Kanzashi.
"O-Oh… shit" Ichika whispered to himself.
