Sorry for the late post. This week was busy and I wasn't able to get in as much typing as I should have. Anyways, here we are now.
A Break and a Date Part 1
That night on the first day of the game of tag. After Danny Phantom's and the Sailor Guardians battle with Lum.
Danny sits in his tent watching the recording of him and the Sailor Guardians fight with Lum on his computer while also chatting with Sam and Tucker.
"I can't believe you got to fight a real alien!" Tucker shouts. "And surrounded by hot girls in miniskirts too!
"Is that all you think about Tucker!?" Sam snaps.
"What? I'm supporting Danny. And the tech that these aliens are using is so advanced! Wish I was there with you man. And it looks like the blonde one has a thing for you."
"You mean Venus?" Danny asks, having realized why she was acting like that a while ago. "I don't know. She's attractive, but I don't like how she was clinging onto me. Also, I'm more attracted to Sailor Jupiter, but either way the only girl in Japan interested right now is Lita."
"Jupiter? Really dude?" Tucker looks at the shot of Danny and Jupiter side by side. "I mean sure she's gorgeous but pretty tall don't you think? I mean you hardly come up to her chin. And I thought Japanese people were supposed to be short."
"Well you know Tucker, Amity Park does have the lowest average height for teenagers and children in the country." Sam points out. "I mean we're all ridiculously short for our ages until we turn 18."
"Yeah but I think she's even taller than Jazz!"
"She's about as tall as my mom, so 5'6"." Danny says. "Lita's the same height. And why is being tall a problem again, I wouldn't mind growing a few inches."
"No Danny, the idea is that the girl is supposed to be shorter than the guy." Tucker says. "I mean, don't you feel like a kid standing next to her?"
"I…Don't care about the height." Danny says. "And if that's how YOU would feel, Tucker, then you suck."
"I can't believe even with all your power and these girls on your side you still lost!" Sam shouts.
"I can. Have you seen their crazy tech!? I mean she practically whooped Danny on her own before the guardians showed up! Oh, no offense Danny."
"None taken, my body still feels stiff from whatever she hit me with. She also seems to have gotten ectoranium."
"Isn't that the ghost-Kryptonite you used to keep your evil future self locked up?"
"Yeah, and it's a space element so the Oni have a whole bunch of it. Plus everyone in this town is used to ghosts so she knows how to fight them too."
"Those flaming Ofuda's are incredible." Sam says gleaming at the images of Sailor Mars. "I mean at first I thought these sailor guardians were a joke who only exist to attract teenage boys, but seeing them in action they are actually kinda…amazing."
"If you think that's awesome listen to this!" Danny starts. "So, after the fight, me, Sailor Mercury and one of Lums alien friends were using our ice powers to stop the mushrooms from growing more and completely overrunning the town. The three of us were doing the freezing while the other guardians and Sailor Moon's boyfriend were trying to clear out the smaller mushrooms from people's homes."
…
Flashback, a few hours ago.
"Shine Snow Illusion." Says Sailor Mercury.
The mushroom tops spread out around her become covered in a nice thick layer of snow and ice. She stands on top of a mushroom that she had frozen previously and jumps from frozen top to frozen top to freeze more. On the ground Oyuki is freezing the bases of the mushrooms as the other guardians, who are trying to clear the mushrooms as much as they can. When the broken pieces start to grow, Oyuki refreezes them solid. The guardians smile and thank her and Oyuki blushes and turns away as they try to help remove the roots from the floors of the houses.
Danny goes intangible and freezes the mushroom necks from the inside out like he did before. He looks around and sees that not only have some of the smaller mushrooms been cleared and people are returning to their homes but nearly every other larger mushroom is cleared. He is glad he has help now, he is far less exhausted than when he tried the first time.
He flies back up to the top and meets with Sailor Mercury.
"I think we have just one more block and we're done!"
"For now, at least. Thanks for your help, you've been a big help." Sailor Mercury tells him.
"Yeah well, the snow-queen down there is doing a lot too."
Danny says looking down, seeing Oyuki keep a large pile of the frozen mushroom chunks frozen as the guardians pile more and more on top.
"I can't believe we've met an actual alien queen." Mercury says. "And from Neptune of all places! JAXA hasn't even confirmed that alien life exists in our solar system besides earth! I am going to need to interview her later."
"I think she would like that. She seems to be a big fan of you guys." Danny turns to Mercury. "By the way, what was she talking about earlier? She called you monarch's if the silver millennium. What does that even mean?"
"Oh…um. I actually think I should talk to the others before I tell you that." Mercury says.
…
Present
"Hood on. What the heck's a JAXA?" Tucker asks.
"Japan's NASA, can I please continue?" Danny asks, annoyed. "Anyways. So after we finished freezing all the mushrooms in the last block. We cleared out as many homes as we could and swooped the remains of them into a big pile we were all together…"
…
Flashback resume
Danny flies Sailor Mercury down so they can join the others at the bottom. All the Sailor Guardians look tired while Oyuki looks pleased. In front of them is a massive pile of frozen mushroom pieces about the size of a building.
"Nice job everyone." Sailor Moon says, looking worn out. "It was a lot of hard work, we couldn't burn or electrocute them without making them grow bigger, but we managed to clear a freeze of mushrooms and clear a lot of houses. All those people are so grateful." She says before she collapses.
"Sailor Moon!" Tuxedo Mask shouts as he catches her.
"And we owe it all to Danny Phantom." Sailor Venus says leaning into him, to his uneasiness.
"Uh, thank…you." Danny says awkwardly.
"And the Neptunian Queen." Sailor Mars adds, causing Oyuki to smile slightly.
"And let's not forget our friend Sailor Mercury." Adds Jupiter. Mercury smiles proudly.
"Thank you, it is a pleasure hearing that from you." Oyuki says giving a bow. "Alright, I think my work here is done. I should be getting back to my kingdom now."
Oyuki raises her hand and a door shaped portal appears. When it opens the guardians and Danny are shocked to find a massive blizzard and a snowy landscape. She raises her other hand and all the frozen mushrooms they managed to break apart float into the portal one at a time.
"They will be treated with acid in my kingdom." Oyuki tells them.
Sailor Mercury is lost for words as she examines the door. She stops Oyuki before she steps inside.
"Wait! Can we talk later? I want to ask about your culture, your portal creation." Mercury asks, gazing back at the door.
Oyuki hands her a ship of paper with a seven digit code on it.
"Call me." Oyuki says.
"Wait! I don't think earth phones can reach space!"
Mercury calls out but Oyuki and the frozen mushroom pieces are already gone and the portal closes. As Ami sighs sadly two cats, one black and one white, approach her.
"Don't worry, there's an interstellar phone at the moon castle you can use." Luna says.
"Luna!? There's a stranger here." Artemis says, turning to Danny, who is staring at them and blinking in surprise.
"Oh come on Artemis. He's fought side-by-side with the girls AND he already knows aliens exist. There's no point hiding."
"Why don't we just reveal our secret to all of Tomobiki then?"
"Uh…your cats talk?" Danny asks Mercury.
"They are more like Sailor Moon and Sailor Venus' cats." Jupiter tells him.
"We're not anyones household cats. We're advisors." Artemis says indignantly.
"Advisers who still like playing with yarn." Sailor Venus teases, to Artemis' ire.
"So, uh, the black cat brings up a good point." Danny says. "Luna, was it?" The black cat nods. "Yeah, what Luna says. I heard that alien queen call you guys monarchs. What did she mean by that? Are you guys aliens too?"
The Sailor Scouts and Tuxedo Mask (also Sailor Moon who has regained consciousness and rises out of his arms) stare at him unsure how to answer.
"One moment please." Sailor Moon says before she and the others jump into their own private group. They whisper amongst themselves.
"We can't trust him, we just met him." Says Tuxedo Mask.
"He saved me from my own lightning." Adds Jupiter.
"He's cute and a hero." Says Venus.
"He's a spirit." Says Mars. "I've looked him up too, apparently he's done just as much bad as he's done good."
"But statistically how much news is flanderization and exaggeration?" Mercury counters. Mars shrugs.
"True."
"Sailor Moon, what do you think?" Tuxedo Mask asks.
"I think…if he was a bad guy he wouldn't have helped us."
The guardians look to one another then face Danny.
"Ok, we're going to trust you." Sailor Moon says. "With an abridged version."
"Just keep this in mind though." Sailor Mars says holding up an Ofuda which bursts into flames.
"Duly noted." Danny says with his hands up.
"Now, this might seem a bit…far fetched." Venus says.
"I'm a ghost that just fought an alien demon and talked to a cat. I will literally believe anything you tell me." Danny says.
"Ok then." Sailor Moon says. Before she can speak again Venus interrupts her.
"Just to clarify, we are all human."
Sailor moon pushes her away before continuing.
"Yes, we are physically. But we weren't in our past lives. Well, except for Tuxedo-Mask."
He nods. Danny blinks.
"Past lives? Like reincarnation?"
"Yes, you see earth, and apparently still Neptune, weren't always the only planets in this solar system to have humanoid life." Mercury says.
Danny's eyes widened. Moon continues.
"Long long ago. Before history, there were humans, or atleast human looking aliens on every planet in the solar system. Even earth itself was an advanced civilization and each planet, as well as the moon, had its own governing body. There was once a princess of Mercury."
She points to Sailor Mercury.
"Venus."
Points to Sailor Venus.
"Earth had a prince."
Points to Tuxedo Mask.
"Some of the inhabitants colonized the moon and started their own kingdom there." Sailor moon says pointing to herself. "And there was also a princess of Mars and Jupiter."
Points to Sailor's Mars and Jupiter.
"What about Saturn, Uranus and Neptune?" Danny asks.
The guardians turn to the cats.
"Yes, yes, yes and there's even one for Pluto." Luna says. "They were not one of the inner senshi though. You'll met them eventually, don't worry about them now."
"Ok….We're definitely going to ask about that later, but continue Sailor Moon." Sailor Jupiter says.
"Yes, the Moon ruled over them all and it was the Silver Millennium." Sailor Moon says.
"It was a fairytale." Luna reminisced. "A golden age where the entire solar system was in harmony. I was the advisor of Queen Serenity of the moon, and her daughter, princess Serenity." She looks at Sailor Moon.
"She was my past life." Sailor Moon clarifies.
"Princess Serenity was protected by the inner guardians." Says Venus. "They were composed of the princesses of Mercury, Mars, Jupiter and led by the princesses of Venus." She says pointing at the respective Sailor Scouts and then herself.
"So you're all reincarnations of alien princesses. That's cool." Danny says.
"My past life was the prince of earth." Says Tuxedo Mask. "Prince Endymion, was his/my name. He ruled the earth which was United under the Golden Kingdom from the capital of Elysion. And, one day he met-." He turns to Sailor Moon and smiles lovingly at her. "-and fell in love with princess Serenity."
The two put their foreheads together affectionately.
"So what happened? And where is there no archeological evidence of any of this?" Danny asks.
"Well," Continues Artemis. "A threat emerged. The Dark Kingdom." He looks down sadly and painfully. "Queen Beryl and Metallia corrupted many members of the golden kingdom into joining their army."
"Including my own guards." Tuxedo Mask says bitterly, Moon comforts him.
"They destroyed the Moon kingdom and ended the silver millennium." Says Luna. "Me and Artemis only survived because we went into stasis. But we knew that one day the princess and the guardians would be reborn and we found them."
"But the Dark Kingdom came back too and they kept trying to steal energy from innocent people to reawaken Metalia."
"They even brainwashed me and made me fight for them." Tuxedo Mask says bitterly.
"But we stopped them." Says Sailor Moon. We destroyed Metalia and the Dark Kingdom for good!"
"Well that's great!" Says Danny. "And that whole story, wow, that sounds like something out of a comic book. Oh I mean that with the utmost respect!"
"Thank you." Venus says.
"But I've read some of your recent exploits. You're still fighting monsters, aren't you?"
"Oh yes, we're fighting these new guys called the Black Moon clan." Says Sailor Jupiter.
"We don't exactly know who they are." Says Jupiter.
"Except that they have something to do with this annoying five year old girl that just dropped from the sky, tried to rob me of the silver…this…very powerful weapon we have with a toy gun, hypnotized my parents into thinking she's their daughter, is constantly teasing me and looks just like me but with pink hair." Sailor Moon says annoyed and fuming.
"We left her at home. She's fine." Venus says.
"Just like you, huh? Hey, maybe she's your two's future daughter." Danny says pointing to Moon and Tuxedo Mask with a laugh. Neither looks amused.
"Don't even joke about that." Moon says.
"I hope she's not, because I'm pretty sure she has a crush on me." Tuxedo Mask says, disgusted with the implications.
Danny and the other guardians don't like that idea either.
"Anyways, so what's your origin story? I mean if you have one." Sailor Jupiter asks Danny.
"I…was human, then I had an accident, and now I'm like this." Danny says, not the whole truth but not a lie.
"But you're not like a normal ghost." Sailor Mars says examining him. "See, ghosts are composed of spirit energy and soul. Sometimes they merge with ectoplasm which grants them a semi-physical form and unique powers. I have no doubt you're that kind of ghost, but they normally only have a specific set of powers, relating to whatever obsession they had in life. You're very…diverse." She notes. "Furthermore your very complexion itself seems more alive. Peach tan skin, very little transparency, only a light glow. If I didn't know any better I would say that you're a human."
Danny sweats a little.
"I guess I was lucky enough to keep my looks." Danny says nervously. Sailor Mars narrows her eyes.
"We shouldn't have told him anything." Mars says to the other guardians. "He's still keeping something from us."
"Hey it's not like you guys told me your civilian identities. I mean I doubt you go by Serenity and Endymion in public."
"Fair point." Sailor Moon says.
Sailor Mars gives Danny a "I'm watching you" look before walking away.
…
Present
"So one of them still doesn't trust me. Can you believe it?"
"Danny, did you ask them if you could tell your friends their story?" Sam asks.
"Uh…no."
"So…maybe she was right."
Danny smacks his forehead realizing that himself.
"Ugh. Anyways. I'm just glad that Lum's going to release the pigs in ten days anyways. Though I hope I got to her and she'll release the pigs sooner."
"I've been checking the reports Danny." Tucker says. "It says that in the areas where the mushrooms were still growing witnesses saw, and I quote: 'a large cover of UFO's creating a blanket of darkness over them followed by the release of pigs that devoured the mushrooms whole.' I'm also seeing images of Oni, guys with light stalks and floating drones repairing damaged cities and treating the injured."
Tucker shows Danny images of green haired guys with horns helping rebuild houses. Then using ray guns on people with broken limbs followed by images of them healing, and short guys with stalks like Rupa and Carla setting up soup kitchens. Danny smiles.
"It looks like I got through to her after all. Maybe she isn't so bad. But, there are no mushrooms being eaten here."
"According to my calculations, Tomobiki is the only area in the world that still has the mushrooms." Tucker continues.
Danny tries searching for this information on his phone but he finds that any news site he goes too becomes blocked. With an image of a cartoon Oni on the screen.
"I can't find that information myself. I guess Lum is still trying to keep up the illusion that the world is in danger so Ataru will cave. Man, that guy is stubborn."
"But you're going to tell everyone else right?" Sam asks.
"Of course I'm gonna…" Danny's mind goes blank. "I'm gonna….gonna…"
"Tell everyone they aren't doomed, dude." Tucker says.
"Yes I will tell the people of Tomobiki that…ugh what is wrong with me?"
…
Sub Space
The rabbits, who have created a new door where Danny and the Sailor Guardians never told anyone in Tomobiki about Lums lies, laugh and high-five each other.
…
"Anyways, I'm gonna turn in. We're moving back into our hotel tomorrow. Night guys."
Danny turns off the computer before Sam can protest.
Danny sighs as he looks at the images of him with the Sailor Guardians. He was going to be meeting with them tomorrow to help refreeze the mushrooms and clear some more buildings during the day. So he was definitely going to need to make another double of himself. He thought about the guardians, Tuxedo Mask was stoic and kinda a jerk, so was Sailor Mars but Danny understood their wariness. But Mars scared him the most for her abilities as a guardian and a priestess. Sailor Moon seems like a clumsy crybaby at first glance but she showed she was powerful and a pretty good leader (understandable since she was a princess in a past life). Mercury was as sweet as she was smart, incredibly. Venus seemed nice but was too clingy for his taste and Jupiter, well he didn't talk to her much, but she seemed brave and very strong. He would be smitten with her if he hadn't already met another brave strong girl previously. He pulls out his phone and starts to text Lita (using a translator app).
…
The Sailor Guardians, now in their civilian forms, were in their shared tent in their own group of homeless Tomobikins on the other side of town. While some of them have returned to their homes now that they are no no longer consumed by mushrooms there will still be many trying to find space.
Makoto Kino sits with her friends as they discuss their new ghostly ally.
"I don't trust him." Rei says. "He's hiding something from us. I can feel it."
"Well I'm sure he doesn't want to discuss the circumstances of his death." Says Ami.
"Yeah, he said he had an accident. Maybe it's stressful for him." Usagi says.
"But that's the thing. I could sense his energy. He didn't seem fully dead to me. I don't know how to describe it, I've never felt anything like it before."
"He saved my life. I'll give him that." Mamaru says sticking his head in from outside the tent. "But I do think we told him more than we should have."
"At least we didn't show him the Silver Crystal or show him the moon castle." Says Usagi.
"Well I think he's a hero and we should all try to get to know him better." Minako says. "Mako-Chan what do you think?"
They turn to Makoto who is just sitting cross-legged texting on her phone. While her friends had been arguing she had been talking to the cute boy she met the other day.
'Hey Makoto, it's me Danny. Remember me?'
'Of course! How are you?'
'Let's just say I'm…a little stressed from what happened at the race.'
'Yeah, I'm a little stressed too. But at least the mushrooms aren't a danger….I mean after that ghost boy talked to the alien princess I realized the mushroom crisis will be over….from what I saw…in the audience.'
'Yeah. So I was wondering if you wanted to hang out tomorrow?'
'I would love too! XD'
'Great! What do Japanese people do to hang out? In America we either play video games, get burgers or pizza.'
'*Giggle* It's too bad we aren't in Juban, I know a great arcade you would like. We can meet at the city park. Walk around. I hear it has beautiful cherry trees.'
'Cool! I'll meet you there. Say 11?'
'11 it is.'
'Great! See you then. Bye Lita.'
'Bye Danny-San.'
"Makoto!"
"Huh!?" Makoto jumps in surprise, finally getting off her phone. "Sorry girls. I was just planning a date."
"It's your first time meeting this person. I wouldn't call it a date." Rei says.
"Oh stop Rei. Congratulations Mako!" Usagi says hugging her friend.
"Just remember, we're going to be clearing and freezing more mushrooms tomorrow so make time." Minako says.
"Don't worry, I won't be too long. I will need to leave at 11 for an hour or two." Makoto says.
…
Day Two
Anyone who isn't in the crowds yelling at Ataru is watching the competition on TV. Ataru stubbornly refuses to say he loves Lum, as ever, instead yelling at her. In their hotel room (which was roughly patched up with floorboards) the Fentons watch this on TV.
"Can you believe this guy?" Danny asks.
"He seems quite emotionally immature. I think the fact that so many people keep pressuring him into saying he loves her is only making him more resilient." Says Jazz.
"I'm just glad the mushrooms are going to be taken care of in a few days anyways." Maddie says. "Bye the way Danny, where did you hear that?"
"I…overheard Lum tell Danny Phantom." Danny says, it technically was true.
"And yet for some reason whenever I've tried to post it as a blog or tell someone else I keep forgetting." Jazz says.
"Yeah, me too." Adds Maddie.
"It's weird." Says Jack.
…
Sub-Space
The rabbits giggle to themselves. Inaba scowls looking at them.
"Can I atleast tell Sinobu and Sakura?" He asks.
"Eh, sure."
…
Tomobiki
"Anyways, I'm also glad that Danny Phantom and the Sailor Guardians are clearing up as many mushrooms as they can while we wait." Danny says.
"And a lot of people outside of Japan either think the mushrooms are a myth or haven't even heard of them." Jazz says browsing her computer.
"Oh that reminds me, today I'm going to be spending my time huntin ghosts!" Jack says pulling out a ghost-gun. "Specifically a white haired ghost boy that followed us here for a fight."
"Dad can't you leave him alone for the week. He's helping freeze the mushrooms." Danny says.
"Danny's right dad." Jazz says, wanting to cover for her brother. "The mushrooms and the aliens are posing a greater threat than he does and the people of this town know how to handle ghosts."
"Plus did you see Sailor Mars' flaming ofuda?" Danny shakes a little. "I think Danny Phantom knows not to do anything with her around."
"The kids are right Jack. I got one am going to study that cross dresser that became half-ghost." Maddie says holding up the Fenton Thermos Nagisa is trapped in. "I want to discover if or how it's possible for a human to possibly gain such abilities."
Danny looks away innocently.
"You're not going to hurt him, are you mom?" Jazz asks. "I mean he's not a ghost-ghost."
"Well, I suppose that since he's still a living human, sort of, I can just take blood and tissue samples. But you're going to give Rye a specter deflector right?"
"Did so yesterday."
"Great! And when we're done we can check out the bathhouse. I heard the one here is great." Maddie says looking for a relaxing day.
"And I'm going to try out their beef bowls. Son, care to join me?" Jack asks.
"Actually, I have something to do." Danny says smiling.
"Oh…going to meet your new lady friend?" Jack asks.
"Lady friend?" Maddie asks, going into protective mom mode.
"She's not my lady friend, we just agreed to meet up in the park." Danny says.
"But Danny, who is this lady friend?" Maddie asks.
"I'm sure it's fine mom, Danny's a big boy."
Jazz leads Danny away and whispers to him.
"So, that's your cover for helping Sailor Mercury handle the mushrooms?" She asks.
"I AM going to do that first, but I actually am meeting a girl afterwards."
"Oh…well good for you little brother." She says smacking Danny's shoulder in a congratulatory fashion. "To be honest, I like Sam but I didn't see you and Sam as an item. I mean sure she's goth and your part ghost but beyond that I don't think you have that much in common. Enough to be good friends sure but maybe romantically might be pushing."
"What does Sam have to do with this?"
"Oh nothing. Hey you didn't tell her about this date did you?"
"Yeah last night. Why?"
"Oh, nothing." When Danny walks away Jazz shakes her head and whispers. "Clueless."
…
All across Japan, the citizens are happy that the mushrooms have been cleared by the Oni aliens in their town, indicating that the world will NOT end.
Squid-Girl celebrates by burning the wedding dress Sanae forced on her, as said girl cries while Chizuru agrees to go out to lunch with Goro. In Maido Otani and Risa watch as the pigs swarm through the skies devoting mushrooms. They take pictures of them and the alien ships. Risa even jokingly places Otani on her shoulders so he can get a better view. He yells at her to put him down but she just laughs. In Furinkan, Ranma and the tendons family, bar Nabiki who is relaxing counting her money, is cleaning up the debris that was left behind from the mushrooms as Akane wonders if perhaps there's a "pool of drowned Oni". And elsewhere a boy and his wife cancel their trip to Sieren, for now. In a mirror dimension in China, Touhou Fuhai watches his television pleased with the news of the mushrooms clearing in the human world.
In the Floating Garden, the vampires watch the swarms and the ships from below.
"See, I told you the humans would figure something out." Miyabi tells Gyokuro. "In this case, managed to provoke the sympathy of the aliens."
The vampiress smiles wickedly.
"Oh these humans, right now they must be celebrating. They have no idea that a greater threat is coming for them." She turns to her acquaintance. "Did you see that fight between the alien princess and the ghost-boy?"
"Yes, it might be a good idea to wait until the aliens leave before we unleash Alucard. I calculate that the rosary should be damaged enough by then."
"No, did you see how powerful the ghost-boy was!?" She asks him. "I've never seen a ghost with such a wide variety of powers before. If it wasn't for the aliens technology he would have won that fight."
"That's because he isn't an actual ghost." Miyabi tells her, lighting a cigar. "He's a human with the powers of a ghost."
Gyokuro turns to him and stares.
"How could you tell that?" She asks surprised.
"Well look at him. He looks more like a human than a ghost doesn't he?" Miyabi asks her and she shrugs. "Humans can gain such abilities when they come into high levels of ectoplasmic energy. I've actually met another one before in America. He had a certain vampiric charm to him, but I could tell he wasn't FairyTale material. I tried to leave without telling him who I was or where I was from, but he could tell I wasn't exactly human and the fool tried to possess my body." Miyabi chuckles. "He learned the hard way that vampires are not to be messed with." He says releasing his demonic aura, frightening Gryoko and causing her to take a step back.
Miyabi thought about how he approached Vlad Plasmius in America all those years ago. He had predicted how powerful he was and thought he could make a good ally. Possibly a division leader of Fairy Tale. But he learned in the first few minutes that Vlad was more like the "rule the word" type than the "wipe out humanity" type. He just showed up claiming to be a doctor from Romania, he said he just wanted to possibly do business with him but after taking a tour of his mansion Miyabi was ready to leave. However, Vlad noticed that he seemed to have a strong power level within him. So he turned to his ghost form and attempted to overshadow Miyabi, only to realize that it isn't a good idea for a ghost, a being of soul and spirit energy, to fly into the body of a being that can harness spirit energy in their bodies to make themself stronger. Vlad struggled to pull himself out and when Miyabi approached him, Vlad found, to his horror, that the vampire was too fast to hit and strong enough to break through his barriers. What's worse is that when Miyabi utilized his demonic aura, covering his whole body with spirit energy, Vlad found it was like being touched by another ghost, he couldnt phase through.
'I was even tempted to absorb him and gain his power for my own, but I decided to leave the little man be.' Miyabi thinks to himself.
Gyokuro wrinkles her nose in disgust at the idea of "half-human". Then she notices one of the Oni ships receiving a lot of flying pigs, stuffed from all the mushrooms they have been eating and flying into the ships for rest. As more pigs pile in the ship becomes heavier and it starts losing its ability to float. Then she notices an Oni opening a door from the back side and dropping a large device out of it which falls to the ground below. The oni pats his hands as another walks up to him.
"Did you just throw a power core out the door?" He asks.
"It was just a spare." The oni says. "Those things weigh tons!" The ship starts floating again. "See, less weight to carry."
"Darn pigs. Why didn't Prince Rupa just send all of them down to Japan instead of just a handful?"
"I don't know, why did Princess Lum get cold feet about this whole thing?" The Oni argue as they retreat to their ship.
Miyabi and Gyokuro watch as the core hits the ground on the city below them. The impact destroys the core and creates a shockwave of energy that ripples throughout the city. People scream and try to take cover, but when the blast dissaperates, everybody finds that they are completely fine.
"Hmmm. Here I was expecting fireworks. A bit disappointing." Gyokuro says. "It's a shame I could have used some of that tech. Oh well, lets check on Akua's progress."
…
Ghost Zone
In the ghost zone, a certain ghost who manages the flow of time watches pleased. Though everyone in the city thinks the blast had no impact on them, the radiation from the Oni ships and the energy released from the core has, temporarily at least, affected their genes. It will last for a month at most, but that's all the time they need. The ghost looks pleased as he sees similar events across Japan with Oni dumping technology that releases radiation onto the people of various cities in Japan. Including, but not limited to: Sapporo, Morioka, Tokyo, Kyoto, Nagasaki and Hiroshima. Clockwork smiles, knowing that his meddling had paid off.
…
Tomobiki
Danny as Danny Phantom is with the Sailor Guardians like he was yesterday. He works with Mercury in freezing the mushrooms so they don't grow and spread more throughout the city. Oyuki hadn't joined them today and they did not think she would come back so Danny had to work extra hard. As he freezes the mushrooms at the stumps, he notices Sailor Jupiter watching her phone eagerly while helping move mushroom debris so Sailor Moon could take them to the dark side of the moon later. He helps keep the pile frozen.
"Hey, are you waiting for something?" Danny asks Jupiter.
"Hmm. Oh it's nothing. I just have somewhere to be in a few minutes."
"Oh, ok I get that. I've got to be somewhere too." Danny says. "Its…uh…ghost business."
"Yeah I have…business elsewhere too."
Danny smiles at her.
"So, Sailor Jupiter." Danny starts. "Now keep in mind I'm not trying to hit on you. I might have a different girl already, but by any chance is there a Mr. Jupiter?"
"I have…crushes. But no."
"She has crushes on nearly every guy she knows." Sailor Mars states.
"I do not!" Jupiter protests. "Although there is someone who might, might, be who i'm looking for. We…haven't had an official date yet."
"Yeah…there's this girl I just met recently that I have similar feelings about." Danny says fondly. "I mean we just met but I was attracted to her instantly. She's strong and cool, actually a lot like you."
Jupiter blushes.
"Oh, you don't mean that." She says. "I'm much taller than you."
"I'm not exactly the tallest person around, lots of people are taller than me. Granted most of them aren't girls but whatever."
"Its funny, the boy im talking about said something similar to me." Jupiter says. "I…in my civilian identity…I get rejected by a lot of guys at my school because i'm much taller than them. Even when I find one that's a bit taller than me they lose interest after seeing me fight."
"Well those guys are jerks." Danny says. "If it's any consolation, I find a girl who can fight to be even more attractive. I mean my last girlfriend had a blackbelt."
"Really?" Jupiter asks, blushing.
Jupiter and Danny look at each other fondly for a while, for a minute they are lost in each other. But then they snap put of it. Danny because he remembers he's meeting Lita soon and Jupiter because she's meeting Danny Fenton later. They can't be thinking of another person before then.
"So, enough about me. Tell me about you Phantom-San." Jupiter says. "What was your life like…before the accident?"
Danny rubs his neck, trying to think of how he could tell her the truth without giving away too much information. He thinks of something.
"Oh, same old stuff. I had parents, went to school, got bullied. Hung out with my friends, went to concerts and played video games with them. Then one day I stepped into a machine that I thought was busted, turns out it just wasn't on. Next thing you know i'm like…this."
"Oh, that must have been terrible." Jupiter says, covering her mouth. "I'm so sorry."
"Oh well, it was a shock at first. Waking up with snow white hair, glowing green eyes, the ability to go through walls, disappear and fly. Oh hey, that rhymes. Anyways, it's just something I got used to. Plus, I realized that with my new powers I could protect the town from…not-so-friendly-ghosts. So you know, silver lining."
"What about your friends and parents? They must have been devastated with you dead."
"Eh…let's not go there." Danny says. "Anything else you wanna ask me?"
"Um yes." Jupiter says. "So Mars did some research on you and she found some articles on you in your hometown. Now some have you doing heroic things, others have you holding the mayor hostage. Care to explain that?"
"Oh that wasn't me." Danny says. "You see I peeved off this ghost-warden and he wanted to get revenge by turning the city against me. He possessed the mayor and made it look like I was kidnapping him."
"But didn't you try to explain yourself afterwards?" Jupiter asks. "Or maybe ask the mayor to help clear your name?"
"When a ghost overshadows another person they are basically out. The mayor woke up dizzy and thought I attacked him like the papers said. As for clearing my name the town is riddled with ghost hunters. If I tried to step in front of a news stand or a camera they would all gang up on me. They still gang up on me even when i'm fighting other ghosts."
"Hmm. I'm sorry but I can't say we have that issue here. People love us." Jupiter says.
Jupiter and Danny Phantom share a laugh. Sailor Venus watches from a distance enviously. She was about to walk up to Danny Phantom with a cup of tea for him. She was thinking they could share it and talk to each other for a break, but instead it looks like Jupiters stealing him from her. She had to fix this. She walks over to them putting on a smile.
"Oh, am I interrupting something?" Venus asks.
"Venus, no we were just talking." Jupiter says.
"Ah, well I made tea, anyone want some?"
Jupiter and Danny both grab cups and drink.
"Wow, normally I don't drink tea but this is actually pretty good." Danny says.
"Thank you." Says Venus. "So Danny-Chan, what do you like to do when you aren't fighting ghosts and saving your town?"
"Umm…I like listening to music, playing video games-"
"I love music." Sailor Venus says immediately. "Rock, pop, love it. Oh and did you know they actually made an arcade game based on me? I dont get royalty checks for it, but it is still an honor."
"Oh, uh, good or you Sailor Venus." Danny says, getting uncomfortable the way she is looking at him.
"Venus, I think…"
"Hey Jupiter, don't you have to be somewhere now?"
"OH I ALMOST FORGOT!" Jupiter shouts looking at her phone and noticing it is five til 11. "Im sorry girls but I gotta get going. It's five to eleven. See ya."
Jupiter shouts before running away. Venus leans into Danny.
"Now where were we?"
"FIVE TO ELEVEN!?" Danny shouts. He goes intangible and Venus phases through him as he flies away. "Uh, I gotta go too. Bye!"
Sailor Moon walks over to Venus who is on the ground. She looks at the ghost boy flying away hurt and a little irritated.
"Maybe he's just not into blondes?" Sailor Moon suggests. Sailor Venus scoffs and gets off the ground.
"She already has one Danny, does she need two?"
"Just let him go, he's dead anyways." Sailor Mars says.
"Oh, maybe you're right."
"Excuse me."
The Sailor Guardians and Mamaru turn to where they heard that soft feminine voice call out. Emerging from behind one of the mushrooms they see a beautiful teenage girl with long brown hair wearing a Sailor Moon t-shirt. She smiles at them, looking excited but nervous holding a scrapbook.
"Hello, my name is Ryoko Mendo. I am the heiress to the Mendo fortune."
"Mendo!?" Sailor Mercury shouts, landing down from below. "The Mendo family owns half of Japan!"
"Yes we do, and I'm a big fan of you guys." Ryoko gestures to her shirt. "You are my favorite heroes, I've been following you guys forever!"
She shows them the inside of her scrapbook which includes various newspaper articles of them, bubblegum wrappers with their faces on it, etc.
"I was wondering…if it's not too much trouble."
"You would like an autograph?" Sailor Moon asks.
"Uh, sure. But what I really wanted was some of your hair for my scrapbook." Ryoko says. "Not a lock, just a single strand will do. Pretty please."
The guardians stare at her. It was a wierd request, but not too far fetched from a hardcore fan, they thought. Ryoko stared at them with big pleading eyes and Sailor Moon caved.
"Uh, sure. Anything for a fan." Sailor Moon says walking over to her. She plucks out just one of her hairs. "Owwie." She hands the hair to Ryoko. She even holds out her scrapbook and she signs the poster of her and the others making their iconic poses. The other guardians reluctantly join in until the poster has all of their signatures and Ryoko has a single hair strand from each of them, and Tuxedo-Mask. Ryoko huggs it and smiles at them.
"Oh thank you for accepting my request. I am so happy." Ryoko says, smiling but devoid of real emotion. "I do hope to make your acquaintance sometime soon but I have business to attend to. Fare-thee-well Sailor Guardians."
Ryoko runs away as the Sailor Guardians watch her leave.
"It was nice to help a fan." Sailor Moon says, proud of herself.
"I have a bad feeling about this, girls." Mars says.
"Eh, just some spoiled rich girl who isn't used to hearing the word 'no'." Tuxedo Mask says.
"Eh, you're probably right." Mars says.
"The mushrooms are melting." Sailor Mercury says before freezing them again.
Meanwhile behind the mushroom, Ryoko removes her t-shirt and one of her kuroko servants hands her a coat to wear instead. She takes the hair strands from the scrapbook and tosses it away. Another kuroko hands her the clay voodoo dolls she made of the Sailor Senshi and Tuxedo Mask and she attaches the strands.
"That was very easy. A shame that Sailor Jupiter and the ghost-boy had left already."
"We visited the site of the fight between Lum and the ghost boy the other day, lady Ryoko." The kuroko says bowing and holding up a single strand of white hair. "Lady Lisa is also using her crystal ball to locate Sailor Jupiter as we speak."
"How delightful. I look forward to her progress." Ryoko said getting on her 'horse', which was actually two of her servants in a horse suit. She is carried away.
…
Makoto waits at a bench in the park that she and Danny had decided on over the phone. She gazes around looking at the beautiful blooming cherry trees and giant mushrooms. She sees children running around the park, couples on picnics and a teenage girl with long brown hair and a giant spatula on her back selling Okonomiyaki.
She notices a strange sign on a nearby tree that reads:
"Do Not Break The Branches. May Cause Dimensional Disturbance."
Makoto wonders what this means for a moment but quickly shrugs it off. Looking at her watch, she notices that it's about 11:10. She starts to think that she's been blown off, then she hears a coughing sound.
She turns to her left and smiles as she sees Danny Fenton standing there holding a bouquet of flowers in his hands.
"Hey, Lita."
Makoto/Lita smiles and stands up. She looks down at the sweet cute boy.
"Oh, Danny-San." Lita says joyfully while taking the flowers. "For me?" She asks.
"Yeah, I hope you like them."
"They are beautiful." Makoto says. She looks back briefly at the cart. "There is an Okonomiyaki cart nearby and it's lunch time. Do you want to get some?"
"Uh, hold on a second."
Danny turns around, pulls out his iPhone and whispers into it.
"Siri, what's an Okon-o-miyaki?"
Siri responds: Okonomiyaki is a Japanese savory pancake dish consisting of wheat flour batter and other ingredients cooked on a teppan.
Danny wasn't sure what to think of that until he looked at the accompanying image, it looked kinda like a pizza.
"Sure, sounds great. Lead the way."
Lita/Makoto smiles.
"This way Danny-Kun….San. This way Danny-San."
Shortly afterwards, Danny and Lita approach the cart that reads "Okonomiyaki Ucchan's". They approach the vendor, a teenage girl with long brown hair, who had just served another customer with her comically large spatula. In front of her is a large, flat-grill of uncooked Okonomiyaki dough. Her customer, Kotatsu-Neko, walks away licking his lips looking at his dish as the vendor calls out.
"Thank you, come again Maomolin!"
Kotatsu-Neko looks back at her confused.
"Sorry, I was thinking of someone else. Your actually a lot better than him." The ghost-cat walks away and she notices the couple. "Hello, welcome to Okonomyaki Ucchan's, I am Ukyo. Would you like to try my new 'End of the World Okonomiyaki'?" She asks, pointing to a picture of an Okonomiyaki that is shaped like Lum making a cartoonish angry face. "Half-off."
"Oh hey that's actually a good likeness." Danny says. "But no thank you. Can you make me one with pepperoni and cheese please?"
"I have pork." Ukyo says.
"Is that in pepperoni? I'll take that."
"Same for me please." Lita says. "I prefer pork to squid myself." She says to Danny.
"Squid?"
"Alright, each is 400 yen so that will be 800 total." Ukyo says.
"EIGHT-HUNDRED YEN!?" Danny shouts.
His phone rings and he answers. It is Jazz.
"Danny, one Japanese Yen is 0.0070 US dollars." She says before she hangs up.
"Oh." Danny does the math on his phone calculator. "800…times…0.0070….Oh, only 5.60." Danny reaches into his pocket and pulls out a ten dollar bill. "Here, keep the change."
"Sir, this is a US dollar." Ukyo says. "I only accept yen."
"But, I don't have yen."
"It's ok, Danny-San. I've got it." Lita says, taking out her purse.
"No, Lita. I'm the guy, I should pay." Danny says protesting, but Lita is already handing Ukyo her money.
"You can pay me back later." She says.
"Two pork Okonomiyaki coming up!"
Ukyo twirls a spatula in each of her hands. She quickly grabs two balls of dough with her spatula and throws them into the air as she quickly turns the grill on. They land on the grill and flatten as she digs the spatula into a bucket labeled "Pork", tossing the thin strips into the air, as well as other ingredients such as minced garlic, mushrooms, seaweed, green onions and shins leaves as she quickly flips the Okonomyaki's uncooked side over. The ingredients land perfectly on the Okonomyaki's cooked side right when she is done. She then quickly drizzles the homemade sauce on and flicks them right into Danny and Lita's hands. Both have their mouths agape.
"That was impressive." Lita tells her.
"Save your compliments for my Okonomiyaki." Ukyo says.
Danny and Lita bite into their Okonomiyaki at the same time. The sensation is like a million flavors dancing on their tongues. Danny was completely entranced by how good this dish was. Even Lita, who has had Okonomiyaki before, couldn't deny that this was the best she had ever had.
"Oh my god this is amazing!" Danny says.
"You have incredible cooking skills." Lita compliments. "The crust maintains a fluffy consistency and yet it is still so firm."
"What sauce is this?"
"Okonomiyaki sauce is made of ketchup, soy sauce, sugar and Worcestershire. It's homemade." Ukyo says proudly.
"I think this is the best Okonomiyaki I've ever had." Lita compliments.
"Of course it is, I'm the best Okonomiyaki chef in the world!" Ukyo says proudly. "Of course it's not like the food in this town is very high quality. Actually I think this is the strangest town i've ever been to. And I know some pretty weird people."
"Wait, you're not from Tomobiki?" Danny asks.
"Oh no, I'm from Furinkan. Well actually i'm not FROM Furinkan bit it is the place where I live now. I just came to Tomobiki because I thought it would be good business for the race. Hmm, a weird thing though is that my fiancé Ranma contacted me and told me that the mushrooms everywhere else have disappeared. But the Oni left this town, weird."
"Yeah, weird." Lita says.
"Wait, you have a fiancé?" Danny asks. "But you're like…sixteen?"
"We were set up by our fathers." Ukyo says.
"Oh, I'm sorry."
"Why are you sorry? He's a great guy I love him." Ukyo says. "Only problem is that his father, the greedy jerk he is, also agreed to marry him off to the daughter of a friend of his, but those two are always fighting so I'm not worried. And then there's this Chinese girl that keeps throwing herself at him because he beat her in a fight, but they find her more of a nuisance than anything. And then there's this fourth girl that he isn't engaged too and who actually scares him that keeps trying to force him to be with her. So I just need to be patient."
"You could find someone else." Danny suggests.
Ukyo laughs.
"Like who? Every other guy I know is either annoying, looks like a girl or both. Anyways, come again!"
…
Danny and Lum finish their Okonomiyaki and walk down the pathway, gazing at the cherry trees as they do. The sight of the blooming trees were not obstructed by the towering mushrooms creating an overpass of shade in the slightest.
"The cherry trees are beautiful." Lita says.
"Yes, yes they are." Danny agrees.
"I love cherry trees. They make cherries." Lita tells him. "And cherries make cherry pie. My favorite."
"Hey, I like cherry pie too!" Danny says. Lita giggles. "So Lita, tell me about yourself."
"Well, my full name is Makoto Kino but as you know I also go by Lita. I'm 14 years old and I'm from Juban. I go to Juban Public Middle School." Lita starts.
"Wait, you're fourteen and still in middle school?" Danny asks. "How many times were you held back?"
"In Japan middle school is from ages 12 to 15." Makoto says defensively.
"Oh, in America high school starts at 14. I'm sorry my bad, continue."
"I like video games, gardening, baking, cooking and practicing martials arts. Besides that there's not really much to say."
"What kind of video games do you play?" Danny asks. "I'm a big fan of the online game DOOMED myself."
"I love DOOMED!" Makoto says. "But I'm also into Sword Art Online."
"Heh, and here I used to think girls didn't play video games." Danny mumbles to himself so Lita doesn't hear him. "What's Sword Art?"
"Its a virtual reality game. You put on a helmet and it's like you're actually there! I used it so I can make my character short to see what it's like to not be so tall for once. It was pretty difficult, since most of the characters you get are pretty tall, but I managed to make my own."
"How did you like it?"
"Honestly, not as much as I thought." Lita admits. "I used to hate being so big, but after playing that game I appreciate my strength and fighting skill. Honestly, before I only really hated my height because guys kept rejecting me, but my friend Rei helped me realize that if a guy doesn't like you for being too tall he's not worth it."
"Your friend seems smart." Danny says.
"Yeah. My other best friends are Usagi, Ami and Minako. So tell me about yourself."
"Well, im Danny Fenton. I'm fourteen, I'm from Amity Park, Minnesota and I go to Casper High School. I also like video games, as I may have just said, and bowling. I also really love space and I my dream is to someday be an astronaut."
"Space huh? That's very cool…" Lita was getting excited hearing about this. If things were to get more serious between them she could ask Usagi to take him to the moon kingdom. He would love that. "An astronaut? Wow, you must be really smart, huh."
Danny looks anxious.
"Eh…I'm kind of a….C/D student." Danny admits.
"Oh…Well, maybe you can…my friend Ami is a straight A student, very smart. Genius in fact, maybe she can help you study."
"Well I can do good on a test when I really try. But…I admit…I tend to get easily distracted. By the…online variety. Even if that wasn't the case I'm pretty busy with other stuff. I have this…job that takes up a lot of my time."
"Doing what?" Makoto asks.
'Oh man' Danny thinks to himself. 'I can't tell her my secret. I have to improvise. Oh I know!'
"Volunteer work. Here and there. Random stuff. Helping my school get rid of bad meat. Keeping the peace when jerks come to town. Civil service. I mean I guess it's not a JOB, but it's something I still felt the need to do, you know?"
"Oh I totally get it." Lita says. "I believe that we all have a responsibility to…look after our communities." She says, thinking about her role as a Sailor Scout. "I must say, as strange as this town is, it's actually quite beautiful."
"Yes, it is-"
Danny suddenly feels something hard crash into him and he falls down.
"Danny-San!"
Danny opens his eyes and he finds an, unfortunately, unfamiliar face looking back at him. Ataru Moroboshi.
"Oh great it's you." Danny snarks.
"Hey, I know you. You're that red-head American girl's brother." Ataru notices. Then he looks at Lita, who is glaring at him. "And I think I know you from somewhere."
The three of them notice Lum flying up ahead. She gazes down at Ataru from high in the air.
"Oh Lum!" Ataru wraps his arm around a disgusted Lita as he addresses the alien princess. "Me and this girl are about to elope! Better come down here and stop me!"
As he leans in for a kiss, Lita grabs his arm and flips him over her shoulder. Ataru lands on the ground with a thud.
"Is that a yes?" He asks.
Lum scoffs, turns her head away and flies away.
"Just say you love her!" Danny yells at him.
"Hey, when you grow up you'll understand it's not that easy!" Ataru tells him.
"It's to save the world! And by the way my little cousin Danielle is more mature than you!"
"My little cousin Danielle is more mature than you." Ataru mockingly says imitating Danny's voice.
"What are you five? A perverted five year old?" Lita asks.
"No, that's Lum's cousin Ten." Ataru tells her. He stands back up. "Don't worry madame, I promise you I will not let this world die. I will catch Lum and save the world a second time. After that I will be happy to take you up on your offer of a date." He says getting behind her and grabbing her waist.
Lum turns around furiously, kicks Ataru right in-between the legs, and delivers a punch to the face so hard that Ataru is sent flying back into a nearby tree.
"Ow." Ataru says falling to the ground. He looks at Danny who is looking at him disgustingly. "You see that kid, tell your sister that's the appropriate way to react." He gets back up and chases after Lum. "See you later." He says running off.
Danny and Lum look at him distastefully as he leaves.
"I don't understand that guy." Danny says.
"You know when we first arrived, one of my friends reluctantly suggested we offer to kiss him to bribe him into telling Lum he loves her. We're so glad that it doesn't have to come to that."
"I don't blame you." Danny says.
"I need to take out my excess aggression." She turns to him. "Do you want to find an arcade?"
"I would-"
Danny's phone rings. He reaches into his pocket and pulls it out. He sees that its from his dad and he answers it.
"Hey dad, what's up?"
"Danny, I'm at the Tomobiki high school nurse's office." Jack says on the other end as nurse Sukara puts wrappings on him. In the seat next to him is Sinobu, who glares at him furiously, and in her arms is a small fox-spirit, crying into her.
Danny sighs.
"What did you do this time dad?"
"I was following this ectoplasmic signature I've been getting and I tracked it down to a fox-spirit. I tried to catch it, and promptly skin it to mount on my wall, but it ran into the arms of a very…very strong teenage girl." Jack says looking at Sinobu, she raises her fist at him and he flinches.
"Can't you have jazz come get you? I don't drive."
"Your sister and mother are at this bathhouse. Just come get me on the bus, we'll take it to the car."
"Ok fine..I'll be right there."
Danny hangs up and Jack looks over at Sinobu.
"Look, I'm sorry, I didn't know he was your pet."
"Kitsune-Neko isn't my pet." She cuddles him. "He's just an adorable little creature that I'm friends with." She says as Kitsune blushes, which Jack notices.
"Uh…Yeah I'm sure he sees you as a friend too."
"What is a friend, except a partner without romantic love." A small, ugly man appears out of nowhere. Jack is immediately started and jumps out of his seat.
"Gah! That's the most hideous ghost ive ever seen! Where's my Fenton Blaster!?"
"Unfortunately my uncle Cherry is still very much alive." Sakura says. "You can still blast him if you want."
"Oh my dear niece." Cherry says eating some ramen from a box. "You have your own strange ways of showing how you care for me."
"Hey, stop eating my lunch!" Sakura snaps.
Back at the park, Danny sighs and looks at Lita.
"I'm sorry, I gotta go. My dad needs help."
"It's ok. I understand." Lita tells him. "I can walk you to the bus if you want."
"I would like that."

Elsewhere
"I hope you enjoy your stay at A to Z Buckets Bathhouse. Ask for anything your hearts desire." A person with three heads and six arms says to Jazz and Maddie.
"Uh…thanks." Jazz says, not knowing what she is seeing.
They had arrived at the bathhouse a while ago because they thought it would be relaxing. There wasn't a particular address, the sign they found just said to follow your instincts. For some reason, this led them down a narrow gateway, squeezing between two buildings, but they arrived at the establishment. When they first saw the greeter, they thought maybe it was some kind of trick, but three people were wearing an oversized sweater. Then, after they got changed into their towels, they realized that he was not the only non-human there. In the baths they saw dozens of strange and unusual creatures enjoying themselves in the water as they asked the back scrubbers to get their hard to reach sections. They came in various shapes and sizes, one even looked like a robot. Jazz turns to the greeter.
"Uh, what exactly is this place?" She asks.
"A to Z buckets serve all specimens. Demons, yokai, aliens, we dont get alot of humans though, so make yourselves at home. Not here though, this is the mens section. Your section is over there." The greeter says pointing to the left.
Jazz and Maddie reluctantly walk down the hall to the women's side. Jazz turns to her mother.
"Mom, is this just another attempt to study ghosts?"
"No, no. Jazz. I swear this was just supposed to be mother-daughter time. Though, now I know where I can go to complete my research….but for now I am just going to focus on relaxing with my daughter."
"Well down worry mom, I'm sure you can talk to some of the strange girls we're about to meet now."
They enter the women's bath and, compared to the men's side, it looks very normal. All of the girls in the area looked mostly human, very few oddities among them. There were statues of women that were releasing water from their spouts and everyone was having a good old time. Maddie was a little disappointed that they were not strange looking like the others while Jazz was relieved.
"Oh, I think I see a nice empty spot over there." Jazz says pointing to a corner in the far left.
She and Maddie remove their robes, revealing their swimsuits (neither were used too or comfortable with being naked surrounded by other women) and they enter the water. Some of the women questioned why they are still clothed but the American girls ignored them. Jazz and Maddie sit down in a nice warm, open spot and let the soothing water wash over them.
"Ah, isn't this relaxing?" Jazz says.
"You said it."
Jazz opens her eyes recognizing that voice. She sees Benten, Oyuki and Ran. The first of which was smirking at her, the second was disinterested and the third was glaring at her.
"You, your Lum's friends."
"And you're the girl who thinks I dress inappropriately." Benten snarks. "Relax, I'm not here to pick a fight. And don't worry about Lum either, I talked to her, she's going to let the pigs eat the mushrooms even if Moroboshi doesn't catch her. Your world will be fine. She's already sent them to devour the mushrooms outside of Japan."
"Oh, well that's good." Maddie says.
"Honestly, I hope he doesn't." Beaten says leaning back. "Lum has always deserved better than that moron. This is the final straw to her. She said that if he can't say he loves her even with all this going on it will convince her that he really doesn't and she will leave earth for good."
"For some reason I found that statement ominous." Oyuki says.
"I hope Darling-Ataru wins." Ran says softly and innocently, then her tone becomes fierce and nasty. "It will keep her from stealing Rei from me!" She then sends daggers at Jazz who shrinks away.
"You…seem very possessive of the guy you like. Tell me about your childhood." Jazz says attempting to relieve the tension.
"What?" Ran asks confused, still glaring at her.
"Well, a lot of times obsession towards a particular person can be derived from a feeling of being unloved as a child."
Ran's attitude softens.
"I…had a typical childhood."
"Do tell." Says Jazz.
A few minutes later Ran was crying in the human girl's arms and Jazz was patting her on her back.
"She used to call me a miserable brat! A shameful daughter!" Ran says between sobs. "My mother thought I was the worst daughter in the universe and it was all because of LUM!"
"There there." Jazz says. "I'm sorry, Lum was a bad friend. You deserved better than her. But, you have to acknowledge that it wasn't entirely Lum's fault."
Ran lifts her head and looks at her, still crying.
"What do you mean?" Ran asks.
"You told me that the very first time Lum stayed over at your house, your mother automatically blamed you for flooding the bathroom. She didn't even bother to ask Lum if she did it and when you told her she thought you were lying and proceeded to punish you. Don't you think that if your mother thought highly of you even then she would have at least asked first?"
"I…My mom was pretty strict but-" Ran is interrupted by Benten.
"Strict!? Ran no!"
Benten actually felt sympathy for her. Despite all the years she knew her she never knew about this. It actually explained a lot.
"That is not being strict! Sure some parents spank their kids when they do something wrong THAT is being strict! But just AUTOMATICALLY BLAMING THINGS ON YOU and calling you SHAMEFUL! That isn't being strict Ran! That's being cruel and abusive!"
"Your mother should be arrested for child abuse." Oyuki told her. "She made you cry a lot."
"Lum's irresponsibility and selfishness aside Ran, do you think your mother really thought much of you in general?" Jazz asked. "I mean surely there were times where she blamed you for things even when Lum wasn't around if she did it then?"
Ran thinks for a while.
"Well…yeah, she did blame me once for breaking our fence, it was actually the neighbor kid, and I hadn't even met Lum yet. When I told her she spanked me and canceled my birthday party the next day for lying."
Jazz took a deep breath in, trying to maintain her composure.
"Ok. Now, why do you think that was?" Jazz asked.
"Well, I admit that even though I tried to be a good girl. I tried to be polite. I did as I was told. But, I guess because I wet the bed ONCE and made a few accidents, which she spanked me for, she kinda held those against me…"
"You know Ran, this kind of reminds me of a guy from my school that I council." Jazz starts. "His mother is super strict, and she only expects the best and perfection from him. She urges him to get no less than an "A" on every test, come out the top of his classes, win every competition, he told me once that when he came in second by just a few points his mother screamed his ear off, forced him to study and called him a failure while dismissing his other accomplishments as routine. I think your mothers kind of the same way. Some people just only focus on the bad things."
"S-Sometimes I didn't even do anything." Ran says getting teary eyed. "Sometimes she would just notice another child, one she never saw misbehave like Lum, do something nice. Then she would yell at me: WHY CAN'T YOU BE MORE LIKE HER!? And smack me on the head. It hurt so much, I cried so hard! Then she REALLY punished me when I got home."
Maddie gritted her teeth and turned to Benten and Oyuki.
"Is that, by chance, acceptable parenting on your planet?" She asks, wondering if this woman at least has a justifiable reason to act this way.
"No, her mom sucks." Benten says.
"I'm from Neptune, but not where I'm from either." Oyuki says.
Maddie scowls and pats Ran on her back.
"Your mother probably was treated the same way, or she had issues that she just took out on you, or she honestly thought that good kids never make any mistakes ever and she honestly believed that was the right way to treat you. But she was wrong, Ran." Maddie says. "Jazz and Danny made mistakes when they were kids too. I punished them but I never thought they were bad kids because of it. Your mom was too hard on you."
"I don't know your mom, but she sounds like someone who's pretty foul tempered." Jazz says. "And as for Lum, I'm not justifying her actions, it was wrong of her to let you take the blame for her, but maybe she was just as scared of your mom as you were."
"Well…" Ran sniffs. "She did threaten to spank Lum if she WAS responsible for the bed wetting but-"
"Wait, she threatened to hit another person's child!?" Maddie says in disgust and horror. "THAT IS UNACCEPTABLE! Wait hold on, is that acceptable?" She asks turning to Ran and Oyuki.
"No." Benten says.
"She would likely get sued." Oyuki says. "Or possibly arrested."
"Oh, ok then. UNACCEPTABLE! Let me have ten minutes with her, I'll teach her how to parent." Maddie says, pounding her fist.
"You guys really mean it?" Ran asks.
"Ok now Ran this is important for you to understand." Jazz tells her. "Yes, Lum was a bad friend. Yes she got you into trouble. That plus Rei choosing her over you is understandable reasons for you to be and at her. But you have to understand and accept that your mother was a large part to blame as well. You acknowledge that she was blaming and harshly punishing you with or without Lum. Do you really think that it would have made a difference with or without Lum in your life?"
Ran thinks for a moment and sighs.
"She also got me in trouble at school too." Ran says bitterly, still teary-eyed. "Actually, I think that's also why my mother considered me bad too."
"Uh Ran. I'm willing to take half the blame for that." Benten says. "I knew you were telling us not to do that stuff, but me and Lum did them anyway. I could have stopped it but I didn't. Sorry." She says genuinely.
"I never participated." Oyuki reminds her. "But I could have prevented it since I knew it was wrong. I chose not too in part for my own amusement. Perhaps that was still wrong as well."
Ran looks away from them and pouts. Not knowing what to say to that.
"Now, about Lum and Rei. You acknowledge that she broke up with him so why do you keep fearing that she will steal him from you?" Jazz asks.
"I…just hate the idea." Ran says.
"You know, have you ever considered seeing a psychiatrist?"
"What's a psychiatrist?" Ran asks her.
"Don't they have shrinks in space?" Jazz asks Benten and Oyuki. They stare at her confused and Jazz sighs. "Ok, ok. Well I'm on vacation now and I want to at least enjoy the next few hours here, but how about after this I give you my number and you can call me whenever you feel like threatening someone, ok?"
Ran nods.
…
Planet Oniboshi
Flying pigs are devouring the mushrooms that started growing there by accident. Meanwhile, Lum's parents, Mr and Mrs Invader are meeting with Rupa's great-grandfather.
"Rupa and Lum's engagement has been canceled-po." The elderly dark-worldian states.
"Just like I said from the start." Mr. Invader says.
But that wasn't all that he was here to say. Lum had been talking with Rupa and him before, about this whole thing. What she told Benten was true, Lum did promise herself that she would leave earth and Ataru forever if he could say he loves her or catch her (preferably the former). But what she didn't tell Benten yet is that she wanted to make sure there was no temptation for her to go back, or chance that someone from earth might try to coerce her to come back.
"Also, Lim wanted me to deliver this message-po."
Rupa's great-grandfather whispers what Lum asked him to ask her parents. Mr. Invader and Mrs. Invader are shocked to hear that request. They had no idea that Lum was this serious. It would take a few days to get everything ready. Plus there were certain adjustments they were going to need to make given the "data" they collected on the first day of the race. But they were sure they could make it work.
"Wha-What was that…?"
…
Tomobiki
Danny stands in front of the bus-stop. He waits for it to get here while Lita waits with him. He turns to the beautiful tall girl.
"I'm really sorry about this again Lita." Danny says.
"You're just looking out for your father, Danny-San."
Danny groans.
"Honestly a part of me doesn't even want to get him." He says irritably. "I mean the whole reason he's there is because he was doing something I told him not too." Danny thought about telling Lita that his dad was trying to chase a fox spirit, but he didnt want to make it sound like he's from a family of crazy people.
Lita blinks at him.
"He may have just made a mistake." Lita says.
"Ugh, it's always a mistake with him. Honestly ever since we arrived in Japan, well they have always been embarrassing but mom and dad have turned it up to eleven. I was actually glad you wanted to meet with me today, it gave me an excuse to get out of the house. I'm sure you know how it is."
Hearing every word of this made Makoto angrier. In her mind, Danny was so ungrateful. He should be happy that he has two, living, parents who are there to take care of him and raise him. To hear him dismiss his parents as "embarrassing" and say that he prefers not to be around them right now, it made Makoto's blood boil.
"I think you're lucky!" Makoto snaps at him.
"Lucky? Why? Because I have a dad who got beat up by a teenage girl?"
"BECAUSE YOU HAVE TWO PARENTS THAT ARE STILL ALIVE AND I DON'T EVEN HAVE ONE!"
Danny's face falls. He feels a wave of regret wash over him. He suddenly realized that his rants must have been very insensitive towards Lita. He looks at her regretfully, seeing that furious face and the battery eyes gazing down at him.
"Lita I…"
"I need to go. See you later Danny-San." Lita says walking away.
Danny calls out to her but she doesn't listen. He just slumps there, waiting for the bus, feeling like an idiot.
Omake
Danny stands by one of the Cherry Trees in the park. He reads the sign.
"Dimensional Disturbance?" Danny jumps onto a park bench, then onto a trashcan and grabs a branch from one of the cherry trees. "Probably something Sam would write to protect the environment."
Danny bends the branch carelessly a few times before it finally snaps and breaks. Danny looks at the broken branch uninterested, but then he notices the area around him turning darker. The wind picks up and hundreds of floating cherry flower petals fly into his face.
"Gah! What's happening?"
Danny covers his face to shield himself. Then when the wind stops and Danny looks around. He isn't in the park anymore.
"Im, in Amity park." Danny whispers.
It looks like Amity Park indeed. He was right in front of Fenton Works. It was night, the moon was shining up ahead and everyone was asleep. And yet, something feels off.
"Somethings different."
A blast of echo energy nearly misses Danny as he narrowly jumps out of the way. It leaves a crater in the road and he looks up to see Ember McLain gazing down at him.
"Ha! Look who I found. Here I thought you would be too scared to stray too far away from your little girlfriend." She strings her guitar. "She's gonna hate seeing you as one of my biggest fans."
"Not sure who you're referring to as my girlfriend but I don't think so Ember." Danny says. "Goin-"
"HE'S NOT MY BOYFRIEND!"
Danny freezes when he hears that voice. It was SAM'S voice. Danny looks to the sky and he gasps from shock seeing his friend Sam. Except it wasn't the Sam he knew, she has Snow White hair, her eyes are green and she is wearing a black and white suit just like his when he goes ghost, except that her's has a ghostly "S" on it.
"He's just a guy, that's my friend." Sam says, then she looks down at the still shocked Danny. "And Danny, what are you even doing here!? I thought you were in Japan with your family?"
"S-Sam? W-What happened to you?"
"Ugh, forget it Danny. We'll talk later."
Sam Phantom groans as one of Alternate Ember's guitar blasts hits her. She is knocked back and runs into a nearby advertisement sign for toothpaste. She breaks through it but sits back up.
"Hah, you've always had a soft spot for that dipstick Sammy-kins." Ember mocks.
"I told you…" Sam glows with green energy. "NEVER TO CALL ME THAT!"
Sam flies up, bursting with ectoplasmic power as Ember glares at her, ready for a fight. The two ghosts are about to clash as Danny stares at the scene utterly confused.
"What the heck is going on!?" Danny asks himself. Then he remembers the sign from the park, he looks at the tree branch in his hands. "Different dimensions." Danny snaps another piece of the tree branch just as the halfa-Sam and the alternate Ember clash. Once again, Danny is surrounded by cherry flower petals before he finds himself somewhere else.
…
It looks like he is again in Amity Park. But this version of Fenton-Works looks more run-down and broken. Kind of like that alternate timeline he created where he accidentally made his dad become a half-ghost instead of Vlad.
"Oh great, I'm not in the Jack Plasmius timeline am I?"
"Jack Plasmius?"
A chill goes down Danny's spine. He recognizes that voice and any fear is replaced by anger. It was Vlad.
"Well, I suppose it fits given the name you go by."
"Vlad." Danny turns around and changes into his ghost form. "I really don't want to deal with-"
Danny stops and stares in surprise seeing Vlad in this dimension, and the other Vlad is staring at him no less surprised as well. To each of them it was like the other had completely changed their look. They both have white hair, tan skin, and wearing black and white suits with a "D" and a "V" on each other's chest respectively.
"What is this Daniel? Did you change your look to mock me?" Alternate Vlad asks.
"Me? You're the one who no longer looks like a Dracula knockoff!" Danny states.
"Dracula? Oh no, I consider that more MY style."
Danny turns around and he is completely dumbfounded. It was HIM. Except a version of him with bluish skin and pointy ears (a lot like the Vlad that he knows back home). His hair is still white except his eyes are also a glowing red and he is smiling with his fanged teeth very menacingly. This other Danny is also wearing a red cape, a black shirt with a red triangle on the chest with white gloves. He is also sporting a goofy "evil" goatee and a ponytail from the back. Danny shivers, this reminds him so much of Dan Phantom. Beside him are alternate versions of his friends. There's an alternate Sam in a purple jacket and sunglasses holding an ectoplasmic gun and Tucker with a black longboat holding a remote in his hands, presumably for the hover platform he is on.
"What's this Vlad?" Evil Danny asks with a chuckle. "Another failed cloning attempt?" He flies closer to Danny, who backs away from him. Evil Danny looks at him unimpressed. "You didn't even get the skin tone right. At least your last mistake looked somewhat like me."
"DANIELLE IS NOT A MISTAKE! Wait, you mean he isn't one of your copies?" Alternate Vlad asks.
"Mine? Please, Tucker, what is this cheap knockoff?" He asks his version of Tucker.
Alternate Tucker scans Danny with his PDA and analyzes the data.
"He's you. But the ectoplasm in his system is different. I'm also picking up strange extra dimensional energies."
"Extra dimensional huh?" Alternate Sam asks, looking at the broken branch in his hands distastefully. "Seems they down respect nature where you're from."
"I sense the highest levels of energy coming from that branch." Tucker says.
"Really huh?" Evil Danny thinks. "Alright, I want to ask you some questions. I have a feeling my dad will too. Bring him in!"
Alternate Tucker and Sam aim their weapons at him while Evil Danny releases a red energy from his palms. Danny gets into a fighting position but Vlad moves in front of him.
"Go!" He tells Danny. "This isn't your fight!"
"But-"
Evil Danny fires at Alt. Vlad, but Alt. Vlad blocks it with his ghost shield. He tries firing at Evil Danny but the ghost-boy dodges and he, along with his versions of Sam and Tucker concentrate their fires on him. Alt. Vlad puts up a shield that's starting to crack.
"My wife, his mother, will be here any minute with your sisters. Just get out of here. Trust me, this world's version of your father is the last person who should get a hold of interdivisional travel." Alternate Vlad says.
Evil Danny takes a deep breath in and releases a ghostly wail. Danny reluctantly snaps the branch one more time and wishes to just go back to Tomobiki.
Now I know what you're all thinking "LockAndKey, What the HELL MAN!?", I'm sorry. I was just writing and I thought between all the accidents that the adult Fentons are getting themselves into, Danny's usual embarrassment by his parents' antics no doubt getting upped lately, and Lita's own parent issues, this seemed like the logical thing to happen. Don't worry, there will be more of them, so stay tuned.
Danny and Jazz are reforming Urusei Yatsura with their presences. Jazz is tackling the psychological issues of the most damaged people while Danny is using his force against the greater threats, and promptly forcing them to see how wrong they are.
Also, while Danny first aired in 2004 the finale was in 2007, a few months after the release of the first iPhone. So that's why I think it's ok to include it in this story.
The alternate universes that Danny visits in the Omake were inspired by alternate universe concepts formulated by Butch Hartman himself. Namely "What if Sam went into the ghost portal?" and "Role Swap" You can find them on YouTube. Also, Danny Phantom: Masters of All Time.
P.S. My explanation for why some people are recognizing the similarities between Danny F. and Danny P. while Danny can't tell Sailor Jupiter is Lita is because, in my headcanon, the Sailor Guaridan's costumes come with a spell that makes them unrecognizable in their civilian forms.

Reviews
pokemon fan 1991: Thank you. A past reviewer said I was making Danny look weak, so I was trying to show that he's quite formidable, but between the advanced tech and Lums resources she can still make the mushroom-crisis last 10 days. Stay tuned because Ryoko will make her move soon.
reaver216: Bash Phantom? If your referring to Danny loosing in the fight scene I needed to make the situation last ten days like cannon. Plus have you seen the crazy tech Lum has in the series? I honestly think that plus ectoranium is formidable. Keep in mind the rabbits are ensuring a lot, without them Lum wouldn't have been smart enough to think to make that suit or get ectoranium. They are trying to make sure Danny doesn't end the issue now.
simm36: Gracias.
- Chapter 7: Gracias! XD
Pedro Alonso Buby Huayanay Zamudio: Thank you, I wanted to be funny. Yeah, I think the world would be better that way. But I wanted to include the prospect of her getting Pandora's box, because only lord can imaging what horrors would break through.
- Chapter 7: We shall see about the skull. And yeah, ghosts in the DP universe are very OP.
