A/N: This chapter is kind of slow, but it was needed to before the next major arc begins. I always hate writing these chapters because they feel so slow but I know I can't really skip over these things or else the story would just look rushed. Chapter 10

Back on Olympus

After Zeus flashed the kids away he slumped on his throne and began to massage his forehead and groaned. "If it isn't one thing… it's the other…" Hera only turned to her husband and patted his arm in reassurance. While the other gods agreed with murmuring or nods. Finally, after a few long minutes, Zeus raised his head and removed his hand before looking at his daughter Enyo as she grew her godly height and asked, "Daughter, as Ares has caused you to torment for over two thousand years. Would you like to take his spot as an Olympian?"

At this Everyone in the room sat up straighter and Ares began to fidget in his chair still not able to move from the chains left on him. Enyo looked at her father and then at her brother rubbing her chin and humming before replying, "Even though that seems like it has its benefits I will refuse." Ares slumped in relief while the others looked amused by her answer. "The reason being, If I take the spot as an Olympian it lets Ares off his short leash from you and also restricts me from overseeing my new city."

"Your new city?" Asked Athena raising a brow and narrowing her eyes at Enyo.

"Yes, sister, My new city… Even though your daughter may lead the construction of the city and everything of its upbringing. Ajax and Percy, and my future children will Rule the city under my name." Enyo replied, looking smug.

"What makes you so sure?" Athena asked, beginning to glare at Enyo.

"What makes me so sure is that those kids at that camp and the next generation will see Ajax and Percy and the blessing I've given them and will want it also. I don't even need to do anything to convince them or win them over. Ajax and Percy will do it."

Athena Scoffed and asked, "How does your blessing even work Enyo? I find it quite odd how you're the only one that has discovered such a way to turn a blessing into a long-term effect as even Ares wasn't able to do so with the Thebans."

Enyo looked at Athena and then looked around to see every Olympian was now staring at her in intense curiosity. "It's simple, it's something our little sister Artemis has done with her hunters."

Everyone's eyes shot at Artemis who was caught off guard to be thrown into the spotlight. "No… what I do is offer my hunters a very small percentage of my power. What we saw from Percy fighting Ares isn't something even my Lieutenant could do."

Enyo's smile grew wider as everyone turned to her and she began to speak. "I was hoping you would blindly agree, but she is right. All I will say is that my blessing has only unlocked their true potential and let them grow with each generation."

Before Athena could reply Zeus spoke up, "That is enough, we have more pressing matters to deal with, and a city that may not even be here in the next four years isn't one of them."

Athena nodded while Enyo stayed staring at Athena before slowly taking her eyes off of her and looking back towards her father. "That, there is father… For instance, my son is going to now be a spy for who may or may not be the titan king."

Zeus grimaced and sighed, "It is without a doubt, my father… Hades talked to me after the winter solstice and informed me Tartarus' occupants have been getting riled up recently and Hermes has recently lost sight of Prometheus."

"So we are preparing for war?" Enyo asked.

"Yes, and I'm afraid this will be something that will change the world regardless of the outcome," Zeus said, squeezing his fist worrying about the future.

~~~SCENE~~~
The five demigods were walking the streets of New York going in and out of Various shops for Thalia. Thalia had been drowning herself in any and every shop that she could get into even if it wasn't to her liking. The reason being? Well, she wanted to forget about what happened in the Throne room of Olympus.
After several hours the five demigods had finally come out of the last store Thalia could possibly go in. Thalia, happier than before, was wearing a new set of black boots similar to her old ones, but these new ones looked more combat-oriented than rocker. Her hands were free as the three boys behind her were carrying the many bags of clothes for her and Annabeth.
At first, Thalia held the bags herself until an older lady walking past them scoffed and began to berate the three boys about how rude they were for letting such a pretty woman carry her own bags. Ajax and Percy, knowing this was a losing fight at the start groaned and took the bags from Thalia's hands, who had only shrugged, not wanting to tell the older lady she was fine holding them herself.
Thalia was still wearing the clothes lent to her by Percy and was surprised herself when she was complimented for it by some men and even other women about it and decided to buy a mix of her original 'rocker' style and clothes similar to Percy and Ajax's of Flannels, T-shirts thin and thick, with jeans that weren't only black. The only difference was these clothes actually fit her now instead of being several sizes smaller or larger.
"I know it's only mid-day but I would really like to get back to Camp and…"
Luke began but was stopped when someone from behind them called out. "Percy? Ajax?"
All five turned and while three of them were confused about who the older yet very beautiful lady was Percy and Ajax both replied.
"Mom?"
"Sally?"
Sally, seeing it was the two boys, walked over quickly and hugged them both, and said, "What are you two doing here? And who are your three friends?"
"Oh, right, mom this is Annabeth, Luke, and Thalia… Guys this is my Mom Sally Jackson." Said Percy pointing to each person when he said their name introducing them and his mom.
"Nice to meet you, Sally," Luke said gently, shaking her hand and giving her a bright smile. While the two girls followed his lead. Thalia, being a bit shyer than the other two.
"And it's nice to meet you three also." Sally replied before adding, "You know I was about to head home after I was finished buying a new fridge. If you guys are okay waiting we can head back and I can make you something to eat?"
Thalia froze and began to pray to her father and everyone else she could and hoped everyone would decline. Sadly she internally cried as everyone agreed, causing her to reluctantly do so herself.
The group of six entered the appliance store they were in front of and Sally walked up to the first person she saw who looked like they worked there. "Hi, I was hoping-."
Sally never got to finish her sentence as the man who had his back towards her turned around and smiled, cutting her off and replying, "Sally? Oh wow, how have you been?"
Sally froze and paled just a bit as she had to curse Percy's father and his family for giving her this terrible luck and quickly threw on a smile before saying, "Gabe, it's nice to see you!"
Ajax began to smell the air which he then gagged at and turned to Percy whispering loud enough for everyone to hear. "It smells like a fucking Carcass."
The demigods stifled a chuckle which went unnoticed by Gabe and he began to talk again, "It's been what? A couple of years since we last talked?"
"Yea it's been sometime…" Sally replied awkwardly, "So I was wondering if you could just help me order this new fridge I was hoping you all had?"
"Oh yea sure no problem," Gabe replied, turning and motioning for her to follow him to the section of the refrigerators. "So how've you been Sally?"
"Oh, I've been great. As you can see, my two sons and their friends are with me today." Sally replied, putting an arm over Percy and Ajax pulling them closer to herself.
"Your sons? I didn't know you had two boys?" Gabe asked, turning and looking up towards Percy and Ajax who towered over the shorter man.
"Yup, Sally's my mom. Ajax and I were living with our dad until recently." Percy replied, hugging his mom with his arm, "Hey Gabe, so out of curiosity how do you know my mom?"
Before Sally could interrupt, Gabe talked, "Oh your mom and I dated a few years ago."
Sally, finally getting her chance to jump in quickly, replied, "Yes, and we had to end it because your little sister was very sick and I had to put all my time with her and couldn't focus on someone else… remember?"
Percy looked at his mom confused until it dawned on him what she was hinting at. Gabe was the man with the terrible scent Sally was close to getting into a relationship with until his dad had luckily stepped in and given Penelope the sea Dollar that would mask her scent.
"Oh, yea I remember now…" Is all Percy said narrowing his eyes at Gabe as he remembered how Sally said the man acted strange around his little sister.
"Oh yea, how's your little girl sally?"
"Oh, she's doing really great now."
"That's good to hear… So I was wondering if you were free tomorrow night?" Gabe asked, surprising everyone for getting straight to the point.
"Oh, I can't… you see Percy's and Ajax's dad came back with them and we've been working things out you know." Sally said, making an excuse on the spot.
"Oh come on, it's just two old friends seeing one another again, nothing is going to happen," Gabe replied.
"Uh, let's talk about this after I ordered the fridge, you know, just get this all out of the way," Sally asked, wanting to change the subject.
Gabe's smile dropped as he sneered, "Sure, this was the fridge you want? It'll be three thousand."
Sally, having enough money to buy the fridge ten times over and not even notice the amount, still hated being cheated out of money and said, "But, the price was two thousand when I called this morning?"
"Yea, well the price just changed a few minutes ago."
Sally's eyes widened at that and she made a surprised face, "okay then… uh sure."
"Alright go to the front and they'll get everything filled out," Gabe replied indifferently, beginning to already walk away.
"Dude smells like shit and acts like it too," Luke said loud enough for Gabe to hear, causing the group to laugh.
The six walked out of the store and made it twenty feet down the sidewalk before Percy began to pat his pants and groaned, "Crap I think I dropped my Wallet in there. You guys go on ahead, I'll be right back."
"But you don't ha-'' Annabeth began to say but was quieted as Luke placed his hand over her mouth. Thankfully they weren't in Sally's point of view to see the action.
"Alright, we'll go on ahead," Replied Ajax who turned Sally around and began walking towards her apartment.
Percy made his way back into the store and looked around to see if he could find Gabe anywhere. When he realized he wasn't going to be able to, he walked to the nearest worker and asked, "Have you seen Gabe? Works here? Smells like someone died and then was shit on?"
The worker nodded, "Yea he's in the manager's room towards the back."
Percy nodded and walked to the back of the store and found a thick wooden door with 'Manager' written on it. Percy, deciding this was the spot, turned the door handle, pushed it open, and walked in.
As Percy walked in he was assaulted by the horrid smell he could only assume was Gabes and said aloud, "by Aphrodite's tits she couldn't even fix you."
Gabe had his back turned to the door while sitting on his office chair reading a 'HUSTLER' Magazine spun around and looked shocked seeing Percy in the doorway.
"What the hell are you doing here?" Gabe asked, standing up and trying to look intimidating.
Percy looked around the small manager's room and saw it was empty besides Gabe and closed the door behind him, locking it. "I want the one thousand back you cheated my mom out of."
Gabe looked at Percy and began to laugh for a good minute before wiping away a single tear and saying, "That's funny kid, real funny. Now get the fuck out of here before I make you get out."
"Give me the money first and I'll get out of this shit stain of a room," Percy replied.
Gabe hearing Percy insult him yet again began to glare and the boy and replied, "I don't know who the fuck you are kid besides that bitches little son, but you don't want to fuck with me. I know people that will make you and your family disappear… got that?"
Percy arched an eyebrow as Gabe nodded his head before appearing in front of Gabe in what seemed like a blink of an eye. Gabe jumped and stepped back hitting his back on the desk and realizing his back was against the wall. "Look here Gabe I don't know who the fuck YOU are, but If you even think about threatening my family again or even insulting my mom. I will grab you by your fucking neck and break every bone in your body. Then I will go down to Hades myself and shove you up the Minotaurs ass."
Gabe, deciding to call Percy's bluff, stood as straight as he could and said, "Your. mom. Is. a bitch…"
Before Gabe could process what could happen Percy clamped his hand over Gabe's mouth and grabbed his hand, twisting it and causing a loud snap to be heard. As Gabe dropped to the ground screaming in pain Percy kept his hand pressed against Gabe's mouth and closed the gap between their faces and began to speak low. "Gabe, stop crying."
Gabe ignoring Percy's commands kept screaming in pain looking at his now broken wrist, Percy having no patience at the moment slapped Gabe across the face with his free hand dazing the man and making him face the demigod. "Are you listening now?" Gabe nodded, "Good, now, if I ever find out you were near my mom again, even just walking across the street from her and she notices you. I swear to the gods I will hunt you down and I swear on the Styx I will do what I told you I would do."
Gabe, confused at what Percy just said, still involuntarily flinched as thunder cracked above. Gabe felt a feeling in his gut saying Percy was telling the complete truth and only began to nod his head. Percy, seeing Gabe understood continued, "And If I find out anyone is stalking or even around my mom or sister that could lead back to knowing you I will find you and whoever your friends are and do the same to them. Got it?"
Again Gabe nodded which caused Percy to smile and slap Gabe on the cheek a few times, "Good…" Percy said, removing his hand from Gabe's mouth and standing up straight before turning and walking towards the door unlocking it and closing it behind him.
~~~SCENE~~~

Percy had Arrived at the apartment building that was his mom's and quickly made it to her door knocking on it for someone to answer. "Oh, that must be Percy." Said his mom from inside.

Sally opened the door and was greeted by her son holding out his hand with the thousand dollars he got back from Gabe. "Hey mom, sorry it took so long. Gabe saw me and felt terrible about what he did, cheating you out of that money. So he gave it back to me and wanted to apologize for how he acted."

Sally looked surprised and took the money before saying, "That's sweet of him… I'm still not going on a date with him though."

Percy chuckled and replied, "Don't worry about it mom, he said he didn't deserve you and was going to leave you alone from now on."

Sally nodded her head ignorant of what really happened and smiled. The two walked into the living room where Percy saw his friends and brother. Who were all sitting on the couch with Annabeth and Luke telling their quest. The story was child friendly of course to the annoyance of Ajax and Thalia.

"And then Percy slammed his sword down and made a big hole appear in the ground!" Annabeth said, extending her arms and making wide eyes which in turn caused Penny to gasp in awe.

"Well, it was more than just that," Percy said, making everyone in the room turn to him with Penny's face lighting up.

"That's so cool!" Penny practically yelled, causing Sally to cover her mouth and let out a small chuckle.

Annabeth and Luke continued on with the story, causing Penny to whip her head back to them, staring at them excitedly to hear more of the story. Ajax sat back watching the TV as he already heard the real story from Annabeth at the campfire the first night he was awake. At the moment he was watching a movie about a robot who was hunting for a female named Sarah Connor.

Thalia on the other hand acted indifferent to the story and would tune in and out of the movie and the story. What the others didn't realize was that Thalia was engrossed in the story as well but didn't want to make a big deal out of it. Internally in awe at the feats of Percy.

Sally walked to the kitchen being followed by Percy and began to mix a bowl of what Percy could only guess was blueberry muffins and began to speak to Percy low enough for only him to hear. "Penny was a bit shy around the others until Annabeth began to tell her about the quest you all went on. Luke joined in soon after and now she's talking to them like they're her friends too… You know they are a cute couple."

Percy let out a single laugh and said quietly, "Oh they aren't a couple, Luke refuses to look at Annabeth the same way because of their age difference."

"Usually I would agree with it, but I would be a hypocrite. I mean I had two kids with your father and he's thousands of thousands of years older than me."

"Oh I know, plus Annabeth being a child of Athena mentally aged her to an adult since she was ten," Percy replied. Sally gave him a questioning look and Percy continued on. "Back in Sparta children of Athena were used as strategists and such… They basically were able to go head to head against adults mentally. It was then realized they mentally develop far quicker than any of us do."

Sally's eyebrows rose and she glanced over at Annabeth who kept going on about her story. "So you're telling me Annabeth is a twenty-something-year-old in a teen's body?"

"Yup, but she will at times act like her teen self… but then again who doesn't?" Percy replied, glancing over at Thalia who was facing the TV but had her eyes shifted on Annabeth.

Sally began to place the stirred batter in a cupcake pan before leaning over to Percy and whispering, "That Thalia girl isn't half bad you know?"

Percy snorted and replied back, "Not at all."

"So why don't you try talking to her? I already know Ajax has someone of his own… Found that out awfully quickly when Penny asked how he was doing."

"It's… a bit complicated… I kind of scared her away a few days back and now she tries her hardest to keep distance between us." Percy replied, rubbing the back of his neck.

"Can't be that complicated if she seems to be engrossed in the story about you." Sally countered by tossing the muffins in the oven and taking out a meatloaf from the oven.

"You noticed that too?"

"Nemesis could see through her blindfold." Replied Sally who was met with a look of surprise from her son. "What? You aren't the only one that can make Greek jokes."

Percy chuckled at that and shrugged his shoulders agreeing with his mom. Percy turned around and looked at Thalia again who was now looking at Luke who began to tell the part where he and Percy fought Ares. With himself standing in the middle of the living room swinging at the air with a non-existent sword.

"Luke, get out the way, you're blocking the TV!" Complained Ajax moving his head around trying to see the movie.

Thalia looked at Luke and was smiling at hearing how Luke was exaggerating himself in the story rather than what really happened, recalling the memory through Percy's eyes. Thalia felt the hairs on the back of her neck stand up and she looked back to see Percy was staring at her with a slight smirk. Thalia's eyes widened for a quick second and she spun back around letting her cheeks turn the lightest shade of pink possible.

Soon after Sally announced dinner was ready. Ajax jumped from his seat and nearly bull-dozed Luke as he skipped to the table excited about Sally's cooking. Annabeth laughed and got up pulling Luke with her to the table; Luke telling Penny they will finish the story after dinner.

Thalia had stayed sitting on the couch not wanting to go sit with everyone and was hoping they would let her be but again cursed everyone including the fates this time as Penny spun around and held out her hand to Thalia.

"Oh no, it's fine, I'm not hungry," Thalia said, hoping the little girl would accept the excuse.

Unfortunately, like a bad comedy show, Thalia's stomach growled which caused Penny to raise a single eyebrow and grab onto Thalia's arm pulling her from the couch and practically dragging her to a seat next to Percy.

"Heard that stomach growl from here." Ajax said, taking a bite of his meatloaf and causing the boys on the table to chuckle.

"Surprised you could hear anything without a brain," Thalia shot back.

Percy cringed next to her and said, "Come on Thalia, you have to have better than that."

Thalia was about to insult Percy but was stopped as Sally walked up and placed a plate in front of her. Causing the daughter of Zeus to quiet down and thank Sally for the food.

The rest of the table stayed quiet as they ate their meals with Ajax, Percy, and Luke moaning with each bite they took. Finally after the three boys finished off the last of their food they leaned back, "Gods Sally, I don't know how but you put the camp's food to shame." Luke said, rubbing his stomach and smiling happily.

"I'm convinced she was blessed by Hestia." Ajax replied, picking at his teeth.

"Oh stop it you two…" Sally said, picking up the dishes and taking them to the sink.

Thalia, feeling her stomach be full for the first time in over five years, agreed with Ajax and Sally before asking where the bathroom was. Sally gave her the quick directions and Thalia thanked her before leaving.

Percy was leaning back with a grin on his face feeling comfortable and full. Something he was finding out was becoming more and more common as each day passed. As he was sitting there he felt a slight tug to his left and saw it was Penny. Percy saw the little one motion over for him to get closer to her and he agreed, leaning in angling his ear closer to see what she had to say.

"Do you like Thalia?"

Percy went to chuckle, but then realized everyone at the table including his mom, who was at the kitchen were now all staring at him and his sister. At that moment he realized his little sister had not been as quiet as she thought she was. And everyone had heard her 'whispering'.

Now, Percy was about to respond but heard the ever so slight creaking sound. Percy quickly knew it was Thalia listening in on the conversation now. So he decided to do the best thing possible, which was to have some fun and said, "I don't know if I like Thalia, but I think she is very cute… I might even say she's gorgeous."

"How come you don't know if you like her?" Asked Penny with a confused face.

"You sure you're not a daughter of Aphrodite?" chuckled Percy.

"She isn't annoying enough." Piped up Ajax with his eyes closed now leaning back in his chair.

Penny, ignoring Ajax, asked Percy again, "If you think she's very pretty, then doesn't that mean you like her?"

"Hmmmm, maybe Penny, you know what? I'll get back to you when I have the answer. Okay?" Percy asked, patting his sister on the head.

Penny groaned at that, getting a few laughs from the occupants in the room. What almost no one noticed was Thalia standing just shy of the doorway listening in on the conversation that Percy just had with his little sister.

Thalia stood hiding behind the wall red faced, 'He thinks i'm cute? Why should I care? I mean I hardly know him… he probably thinks every girl he sees is cute so it isn't different he thinks the same for me. But he did say gorgeous… Does he really think that?' Thalia's mind was going at light speed arguing with herself on what she should do with this newly learned information.

"I'm going to see if Thalia is almost done, we need to get back to camp soon." Said Annabeth.

Thalia's eyes widened at hearing the footsteps of her best friend get near and took a deep breath before walking from around the door frame.

"Ready to go?" Asked Annabeth.

Thalia nodded her head making sure to keep it down so the others couldn't see her bright red face and walked back to the living room grabbing her bags of clothes. No one paid her any mind and all began to say their goodbye's to Sally and Penny. The two replied the same and walked them out the door.

~~~SCENE~~~
The five Demigods had reached camp at around ten at night and were surprised to see the camp fire still going strong. "Weird, usually the fire is dead by now," Said Luke.
The five made their way to the fire and were caught by surprised as the campers and Chiron were all around it listening to a story many of them already knew but were on the edge of their seats hearing it from a new point of view.
"Zeus figuring out it was me that had flooded the land captured me with the help of Hephestus…" Said a girl who had her back against the five demigods holding the hand of another girl.
"I'm surprised everyone is so calm around you two." Said Percy causing everyone at the campfire to look in his direction.
"Percy!" the girl who was shown to be Charybdis said aloud jumping from her seat dragging who Percy guess was Scylla behind her.
"Hello sister, looks like you're doing well for yourself." Percy chuckled looking at Charybdis and Scylla and seeing they already were looking healthier and now had real clothing on and not rags.
Charybdis laughed before letting go of Scylla's hand and pulling Percy into a hug catching everyone including Percy off guard. "Thank you."
"Thank me for what?" Percy asked accepting the hug and patting his sister on the back.
"For keeping your promise and lifting the curses on me and Scylla." replied Charybdis pulling back from Percy.
"I did tell you I was going to do it. You can always count on me to keep my promises."
"Still… We are in your debt more than anything Percy." Charybdis said grabbing onto Scylla's hand again.
"As long as you protect this camp until you can leave and travel, then that's all I ask for." Percy replied.
Both girls nodded their heads causing Percy to smile and add, "Good now go and finish your story, i'm sure the campers are cursing me right now for interupting it."
~~~SCENE~~~

Two eventful weeks had gone by since then. Nothing had really occurred besides two things, the first being Charybdis and Scylla getting used to living amongst others again. Second being, Percy making an effort into letting it slip to Ajax how he thought Thalia looked really attractive today. Percy of course knew that when he would say such things Thalia was within ear shot and could hear everything he was saying.

Thalia had cursed her father and every god she could think of for her thought to be terrible luck. For nearly the whole two weeks since she found out how Percy thought of her she found herself in a spot where she heard Percy talking about her to his brother complimenting her in some way. From it being her face, to her body to even how well she was able to fight in the arena.

She did have to admit to herself she did like the compliments even if they weren't being told to her directly. But, she also hated how they made her feel. She was finally coming out of her shell and was able to confidently walk around the camp and show why she was the daughter of Zeus. Yet, it didn't matter, as she was constantly shadowed by the things Percy did. From training, to sports, to just being charismatic. Now she wasn't the one to gloat about herself but it annoyed her she was being out played by her god's damned opposite.

Finally on the fifteenth day she snapped and barged over to Percy and demanded they spar. Winner is the last standing, the rules she decided would be, No abilities, No armor, and no maiming. Percy agreed to the conditions and rules.

Thalia walked into the arena followed by Percy with the rest of the campers and Chiron overlooking from the outside. Usually a spar wouldn't cause this much attention but to have the two demigods from the two of the big three did get the attention of everyone.

Thalia equipped her spear and shield, preparing her stance. Percy on the other hand pulled out his pen and clicked it letting riptide come out before standing there in a relaxed pose.

The female demigod growled at how Percy seemed to not be taking this seriously and charged him. Within a second Thalia was on Percy jabbing her spear to his midsection before being parried and her right leg kicked out from her. She caught herself and rolled seeing Percy's foot coming down where her head had just been.

Thalia rolled to her feet and swung wide with her spear and was met with air as Percy ducked under the spear and lashed out with his sword forcing her to block with her shield. Thalia bit back a growl and jabbed again with her spear going for Percy's left leg, yet was too slow as her spear was parried again and met with another quick slash she was barely able to block with her shield.

Percy went to swing again but was caught off guard as Thalia swung with her shield making his sword arm fly back leaving him defenseless. Thalia seeing this was her chance stabbed out with her spear and cursed as she barely grazed Percy's left cheek letting a shallow but wide gash form on it.

This went on for another ten minutes of both trading blows and blocking or dodging attacks. Finally Thalia on her last leg and becoming desperate chucked her shield like a frisbee at Percy forcing him to dodge it. Unfortunately what Percy didn't expect was Thalia to follow the shield throw and tackle him to the ground. Thalia grinned like a mad woman as she pulled out her small dagger and held it against Percy's neck. "I… Win…" Thalia said between deep and heavy breaths.

"Are you sure about that?" Percy asked calmly. Thalia was about to ask what he meant but felt something sharp press between her ribcage where her liver would be. "You know, you're actually kind of cute." Percy added, causing the daughter of Zeus to be caught off guard letting the pressure off Percy's neck with the dagger.

Percy, deciding he had his chance, grabbed Thalia's hand with the dagger in it and pulled it away, flipping her over and ending on top of her. Thalia could do nothing as her hands were held down and her feet were useless and could only stare at Percy's eyes feeling her face heat up. Slowly Percy began to close the distance on her and could do nothing but look at the son of Poseidon's eyes and mouth. Beforeunconsciously parting her lips ever so slightly.

As Thalia felt the slow rhythmic breaths from Percy's mouth he smiled and whispered, "I win… beautiful." Before jumping off of her and beginning to walk to the exit of the Arena.

Thalia laid there confused on what just happened. After what felt like hours but was only seconds Annabeth and Luke ran to Thalia and knelt besides her. "You okay Thals?"

Thalia only nodded her head, still feeling her face as hot as the sun. "Well if it makes you feel any better you're probably the only one to hurt Percy besides Ajax in camp."

"Yea that really makes me feel better." Growled Thalia sarcastically, standing up and walking away from her two friends.

~~~SCENE~~~
It was later that night when Ajax was visited in his dreams once again. "Hello grandson."
"Kronos…" Ajax replied bitterly.
"You've done good awakening the daughter of Zeus." Kronos said within the black abyss.
Ajax said nothing and waited for the Titan to continue.
"I have another… mission for you." Kronos finally said.
Ajax bit his tongue remembering what he agreed to do for the Olympians and took a deep breath before replying, "What do you need from me?"
"My general is waiting for you to meet with him at Mount Othrys, also known as Mount Tamalpais it is in the boundaries of California. When you meet him then he will tell you what is next… is that understood?"
"Understood…" Ajax replied through gritted teeth.
"Good… now go, time is short." Kronos said before disappearing and forcing Ajax to wake up.
Ajax opened his eyes and looked around and saw it was two in the morning. Wanting to stay as quiet as possible he began to stuff some clothing inside his pack. Unfortunately he heard a sound come from behind him and sighed, "how long you been awake?"
"Been awake this whole time." Replied Percy.
Ajax continued stuffing his pack as Percy stood up from his bed. "I'm guessing you're…"
"Yea, I have to go." Ajax replied already knowing Percy knew what he meant.
Percy sighed walked over to Ajax letting his brother face him before pulling him into a hug. "Stay safe out there. I'll see you when you get back."
"You too Percy… I have a feeling we're both going to be busy this next month." Ajax said before creating distance from his brother and shouldering his pack and walking out the cabin leaving Percy alone.
Ajax looked at the cabins around him and sighed as he saw the Ares cabin and knew he wasn't going to like this next part. Slowly, he walked over and knocked on the door.
"Who in the hades is knocking on the door this late?!" Yelled a voice inside the cabin causing Ajax to chuckle.
Within the next few seconds the cabin door flew open showing Clarisse in the doorway fuming. "What is it Ajax?"
Ajax stood only a few inches from Clarisse before pulling her into a deep kiss and whispering, "I love you."
"Wha-what?" Clarisse stuttered caught off guard by the big three words.
"I have to go do something… I can't explain but I need to go… Percy will explain when you see him." Ajax said looking Clarisse in the eyes.
"You're leaving? For how long?" Clarisse asked.
"I don't know, could be a few days, could be a couple weeks, could be months…" Ajax said sighing.
"Let me go with you." Clarisse asked desperation in her eyes and words.
"I can't… it isn't safe for-"
"Don't give me that shit Ajax you know I can handle myself." Clarisse shot back cutting off Ajax.
"Clarisse… I can't let you go… Percy will explain."
"And why can't you explain? Why can't you explain to your girlfriend who you just said you loved?" Clarisse said her face contorting into a mask of frustration.
"Because that's exactly why… I love you and I don't want to be the reason you got hurt." Ajax said gently holding Clarisse's cheeks in his hands.
"So you go and almost get yourself killed then spend only three weeks with me and then run off again to possibly get yourself killed again?" Clarisse scoffed yet not wanting to remove herself from Ajax's hands.
Ajax smiled, "Of course not… I have Tyche on my side… I won't die as long as I have you waiting for me."
Clarisse chuckled, "I'll hold you too that…"
"You're giving up on stopping me from going?" Asked Ajax looking a bit surprised.
"I know I can't stop you… Just promise me you'll come back in one piece…"
"I swear it on the Styx, I'll come back to you." replied Ajax kissing Clarisse once again.
The kiss lasted longer than the first and neither wanted to part. Finally Clarisse pulled back and pressed her forehead to Ajax's, "I love you."
"And I love you too."
"You better… Now go before I change my mind and run off with you." Clarisse said pushing Ajax away with a slight smile on her face.
Ajax only nodded before turning and walking towards the exit of camp halfblood.
~~~SCENE~~~

Percy had woken up that morning to go for his daily run, but was stopped by Chiron who was already waiting outside the cabin door for him. "Chiron? Do you need something from me?"

Chiron smiled slightly and said, "Actually I do… I received word there are two demigods north of us that was picked up, and your friend Grover is worried a monster is stalking them."

"So you need me to go and grab them?" Asked Percy.

"You and two others… Grover had said the two demigods had a stronger scent than most Demigods. So I worry even if the monster stalking them is weak more will come and cause problems on the way back." Chiron explained frowning a bit.

"I'll head out as soon as possible once I grab the others." Replied Percy.

Chiron nodded and turned leaving Percy on his own.

"Well Guess you were right Ajax, This is going to be a long month." Percy said to himself, walking back into his cabin to change.

A/N: Yes I know Thalia is sort of a bitch in the books but come on if you were trapped in a tree and didn't talk to anyone for seven years you would become a bit anti-social and awkward especially around someone you might or might not have feelings for.
