Chapter 5: Becoming guild members
We can see our hero on the road, crossing flower plains. The sun already set, with the moon rising. A calm silence is in the area. If you don't count the sound of the dark wisps. But as they approach more and more the city, they notice there are fewer and fewer of those wisps.
"The rumors are true, Illumine really chases out the darkness," Blanche said happily.
"T seemeth" Cynane said, smiling.
"There is more to the city than a brilliant name," Erpoejnel said, without noticing his pun. After all, for him, the name is great. It gives hope to the mon that has their life destroyed by the darkness. The armored mon raises a non-existent eyebrow while the furry mon stifles a giggle.
"You could say. It is said that the city is protected by a pure power that repels darkness," the cleaner said with a raised finger. The angel raises an eyebrow.
"Why this solution was not applied to other parts of the world then?" he said curiously.
"T is not simple, mine own l'rd. This pow'r cometh from a legendary pokémon. Those gents can't protecteth and repels darkness ev'rywh're," the scaly mon said sadly. The angel frowns at that. He learned that even if legendary pokémon can repel darkness, it only slows its progression down.
"Legendary pokémons, the light avatars of this world," he mumbled to himself, but his companion hear him.
"Light avatar?" the cleaner mon asked confused.
"It is how the beings responsible for the health of my world were called," he replied.
"I see, quite a good name!" said the guide.
"Aye, aft'r all, thou art a legendary mon yourself in this w'rld, mine own l'rd," said the knight.
"Really?" he asked, wondering how he can be considered a legendary one.
"Really. Considering your past and your power, you will be considered one. Even you rarity play in it as nobody hears your specie," said the shy mon in a lecturing voice.
"I see, well let's find out. I see light far away," he said in a strong voice. Indeed, lights can be seen from far away, making the guide run toward the edge of the hill they are on. Even from this distance, you can see how big the city is, the shops, the houses, the guild in the middle, and the barrier surrounding Illumine.
"Here it is!" exclaimed cheerily the grey mon.
"Aye, the beginning of our new life," said the squost, smiling. The angel looks at them with warmth. As he thought, the city indeed brings hopes and happiness to the mon. Now that he saw it, he can't let it vanish from this world. He will protect it, as the angel of salvation, as the light guardian, as the savior of this world. With this determination, he follows again the road with more strength in his step.
"Wait lord Erpoejnel!" his guide called him. He waits as intended, the girls catching him.
"Let me take the lead. I will be your spokesperson for the meeting with the guild," reasoned the chinchilla. He thought for a moment before giving a nod. She's right. As she's more knowledgeable, letting her do the speaking will create a smoother conversation. Smiling at him, the mammal mon takes the lead with him following her and his knight to his side.
As they arrive at the entry, they can see that the base of the barrier is a forty feet tall wall of light-colored stones. The entry is an arch made of gold with two mons guarding the gate. The guide approaches them.
"Halt! Name and purpose of your visit," the left guard said in no no-sense voice. If he was another mon, he will be intimated. But he faced more intimating things in his past life. They are bipedal, humanoid Pokémon. They have a round, red and black head, similar to a war helmet, topped with a golden, double-headed axe blade with white edges. Their face is primarily yellow with a black outline. The helmet shrouds most of its yellow-and-black face, although its triangular eyes are visible. Resembling shoulder pads, they have red shoulders projected slightly over their arms and have a thin yellow line where they meet their black torso. They have white, metallic hands that resemble gloves, with retractable, blades attached. Encircling their torso are two blades, which create the impression of a ribcage. Their thighs are red and become progressively thinner as they connect to the knee. Both of their feet are metallic and split down the middle, resembling cloven hooves. These hooves are also similar to steel war boots or possibly leggings.
"Bisharps," he heard his knight say. So this is their species' name, he mused. He looks toward the other guard and sees the shocked look, its arms falling at its side, stopping blocking the gate.
'Ah,' he thought, realizing that he will get more crowded for some time in the city, from the look he was getting from. 'I hope they will not make too much crazy,' he likes how nice the mon from Verdant village was. But giving free things is too much for him. Well, hero, you can always hope.
"I am Blanche, we are church members guiding the savior, we would like to enter the guild as a member, please," said the guide, presenting herself and their purpose. The guard frowns at her, crossing his arm.
"The savior, what nonsense are you tal-" he is interrupted by his partner tapping his shoulder. He looks at them with a raised eyebrow, seeing them pointing toward something. When he looks at the pointed thing, he becomes shocked too. The divine look, the power, the aura, all of it scream hero. He saw the white being approaching them.
"I am Erpojnel," the angel said, sending shivers in the guards' back from his soft and commanding voice.
"I am Cynane," the scaly mon presented herself. A silence falls on them before the talking guard decides to talk again. He turns toward his partner.
"Stays here, I will lead them. It's too big to let them not guarding," the dark knight said, his friend nodding at him. "If you like to follow me, please," the guard said, to which the trio comply. When the fourth crossed the gate, the other guard took place again, smiling, thinking the world would be better in the future.
As the trio follows the guard, the girls can't help looking at the scenery. Well, more like the grey mon turning her head at everything, while the knight moves her eye left to right.
"Whoa, look at all that! The many items sold, the beautiful houses, even the street is beautiful with those colorful lights!" exclaimed the chinchilla. Her friend smiles at her.
"Yes, but don't forget we represent the church. You can't act childish, Blanche," said the blue mon. The guide pouted angrily.
"Mou, I don't act childish, I'm only curious and an enjoyer, you know," she said. Her friend rolls her eyes and the guard laughs.
"Don't worry, everymon act like that at their first visit of Illumine. But I'm sure you will not like the attention you get." He said. Looking around, the furry mon realizes the attention her group gets.
"Ah, sorry guys," she said, apologizing to her friend while scratching behind her head. But she sees the knight walking closer to the savior while his eyes narrow. Wondering why, the furry mon looks back at the crow, seeing the shocked look directed to her group. More importantly, at the savior. Ah, she realizes. They're in awe at the savior. Well, they have all rights to be. She was like that when she first meet him. The divine look and the aura scream legendary mon, hero, SAVIOR. Because of her loud speech, they risk being crowned if they move on. The angel looks at the guard.
"We should move on," he simply said, to which the guard nodded. He's sure that the angel doesn't want to be crowded. The guy has a great burden, they shouldn't put more stress on him.
They continue their journey toward the guild. The angel sees the crow of mon growing, hearing their whisper. He knows that his own presence brings hope to his people in the past. But right now, it's ridiculous. They know he is the savior from just his appearance, and the look they give feel like he is some divine being to be worshiped. Wait, now that he thinks about it, he is a hero coming back from the dead, the heaven, to save a world from destruction. His appearance as an angel shows this aspect too.
"We're here," his thoughts are cut from the guard. He should really stop thinking too deeply. Looking at the building, he notices it is quite big. It is four floors tall, with walls made of blue bricks with yellow and pink reflections. Instead of being cubic, it is round like a body. On the roof, there is a blue cat head. He wonders if the guild takes the appearance of a pokémon.
"Is that mew?" said the furry mon in awe. Her armored friend is not better.
"Yes, it is. She is the legendary pokémon that protect the city. She is the one that creates the light barrier," the guard said smirking at them. This statement sends a shock to the girl.
"I see," the white being said, nodding. He now understands why darkness doesn't infiltrate the city. A legendary mon repels it. "I noticed that the eyes are windows. Is it maybe where she lives?"
"It is, I'm sure will meet her somewhere, Lord Savior," the guard nods at him. "And I have a feeling she will be happy to meet you," the angel raised an eyebrow but only nodded after that.
The guard opens the door the huge wooden double doors, revealing the interior. The walls are still blue and the floor is made of white tiles with a yellow eight-pointed star in the middle. Entering, the angel can see what appears a shop on his right. But the mon managing it is not there right now. The right is the same thing. And again, mons on this floor are in awe at him. Fortunately, there is less mon and his group doesn't drag around. He has nothing against all the mons, he is after all a friendly being. But he would like to talk and not be crowded by them.
They take the wooden spiral staircase, climbing the floors until they arrive at the fourth floor. It reveals only a door.
"We're here," the guard said, looking over his shoulder at his group. "This is the guildmaster's office room. You can tell your story to him and register as éclaireur if you want." The trio nodded. As they approach the door they can hear voices, two to be precise. And the otherworlder can feel despair leaking from the door. He isn't as good as his old wizard friend as a sensor. But he still can feel energies around him when he's near enough.
"We lose another team again. It is the third one this week," a male voice said.
"Yes, it is worrying, but you know that death can appear and some mon simply doesn't have enough determination to continue their job," a female voice said this time.
"And yet, the erosion continues. We need all the mon possible to save our world. Our organization is the hope of pokémon. If we fell, then it's over," the male replied back.
"There isn't a lot of solution, I admit. But they're still there," said the female reassuring the other. "And don't forget Arya's letter. The savior will arrive."
"I don't want to not trust Arya, but it's been five years since they didn't appear. And even if he is in this world now, every second counts. The world can end at any moment," the male said stressfully.
"I think you're too stressed right now. Take a break, I will make some tea," said the female. The group hears nothing after.
"Does this happen regularly?" the furry mon asked the guard.
"Yes, more and more mons become despaired and terrified," the guard turned toward her. "Some can't endure the work of éclaireur and quit. The guildmaster work every day with what resources he has. But with every quit, his burden is heavier and more tiring." This is not the first time that the angel heard people becoming this stressed.
Despair took place, but the braver endured and continue to fight, becoming more tired and weaker every day. Fear was high and hopes were almost lost. But he restored hopes with his presence, share the burden of the brave, endure the journey, and banish evil in the end. Now he remembered why he took the journey. He was sick of this despair, of this suffering. He trains until he breaks and rebuilds his body. He put his mind through the harsher trials and faced all nightmares. All this so he stopped looking at people suffering from evil.
Hearing the despair in the male voice made him remember this illness. His gloved hand clenches and his eyes harden. If he was able to calm people with his mere presence, then he will do it again.
At that moment, a golden aura wave leaves the angel, hitting everyone and going to the room. The guard can't believe how pure and divine the aura is. It is warm, and comforting, but demands authority. An angel of gods.
"Is someone here?" the male voice said, calmer than before.
"It's me, Birtro. I bring a guest and good news," said the now named Birtro. They wait three seconds.
"Let them in," said the guildmaster. The birsharp opens the door, the white being tries to enter but a hand on his shoulder stops him. He looks to his right, seeing the chinchilla smiling. He nods, he didn't need her words. She, after all, said she will be his spokesman. The mammal enters first, followed directly by the knight and then the old hero. When all the guests entered, the guard enters and close the door behind him.
The guildmaster wonders who the guests are. Maybe they're here to apply as éclaireur. He has some hope. He needs all the help possible. He wonders what aura he feels. Maybe lady Mew senses his anxiety and tried to calm him. She knew, even as the dragon, he can feel stress. He is a Kommo-o. His only wear is his hat with an eight-pointed star. But now that he thinks about it, he doesn't feel like lady Mew. After all, he often visits her to know how she's doing. She, after all, protects herself from the city. But who were they then? It was warm and powerful.
The first mon entering is a Minccino, smiling, carrying the symbol of the church. Wait, does Arya really tell the trust? Then-
He can't finish because another mon enters. They are a squost, he recognizes them by their armor and blue tint. They too carry the symbol of the church. A third one enters and he can't stop the shock coursing his body. So shocked that he falls from his chair.
"What is it?" A Gardevoir with middle back long hair, wearing metal gloves, shoulders, and plates on her dress, enters the room from a door from the right. She is the female voice from before. She sees the guildmaster gaping at something, stuttering.
"Y-Y-Y-Y-Y-You are…" tries to say the sound dragon. Raising an eyebrow, she looks at what her chief pointed out, only to have her eyes wide open, taking a step back. She can't help it. The mon in front is this awe-aspiring. White sleeveless vest, white pants, golden gloves, golden pointed boots, furless face, golden hair, alabaster skin, golden tribal mark on their arms. If she remembers, they have human features, which is a specie spoken in legends. It would be a shock for everymon to meet a human.
No, what that shut her mind are the last features. Rainbow-colored wings wrapped their back like scarves, a golden spiked circle floating above their head, and blue eyes with golden flower-patterned irises and no pupil staring back at her. Don't forget the aura.
In the depth of her mind, a word surfaces from the subconscious, a word forgotten by history, used by another specie, the human her instincts said. Yes, this being is an…
"Angel…" she whispered.
"Yes," the pure being said before turning back at the guildmaster, "I am the savior.[Woejnel]" Their voice sent shivers in the guild members' backs. The divinity it has. The language of the divine. Fifteen seconds passed before the guildmaster remembers his position. The sound dragon calms his nerve before standing up and walking in front of the heavenly hero. He kneels, smiling.
"We have waited for your arrival, my lord," he said. Seeing this, the mother-like mon remembers something.
"I will prepare some more tea," she said rushing to the room behind her. After five seconds, the angel walks to the kneeling mon, placing a hand on his shoulder.
"Stands up. There is no need for kneeling right now. Let's talk about a brighter future, would you?" he said. Hearing this, the éclaireur's smile widens, and he stands up.
"Of course, my lord," he said. He walks behind his desk before sitting. "I hope your journey wasn't too hard for you."
"It was enlightening, it showed me the state of the world and the dangerousness of the mystery dungeons," the angel said seeing the dragon host frowning. And how he can't, knowing how their word is right now.
"We should introduce ourselves," the furry mon takes the lead. "I'm Blanche, a church member of Verdant village, it is nice to meet you." The guildmaster smiles at her. "This is-"
"Cynane, a church memb'r of v'rdant village and knight of l'rd erpoejnel. T is nice to meeteth an eld'r," she said smiling a little. He nods at her. He turns to the angel.
"And I assume you're lord Erpoejnel," the kommo-o said. The pure being nods.
"I'm sure you know why we're here. But there are things you don't know, sir. We should explain all of it," the furry mon said. The guildmaster nods, crossing his fingers while putting his elbow on the desk. "It all begins…" And she begins to explain about the meeting of the savior.
It took thirty minutes to explain all. During the explanation, the female second-hand came back to give the tea. She saw them sit down on a chair while the savior floated, a leg in his other, his fingers crossed. At the end of the story, the strongest éclaireur is in awe. But the tea manages to calm his nerves.
"I see, you're quite an interesting being, my lord," the bigger dragon said to the winged being.
"Thank you," he replied back before he continues sipping his tea.
"But to call back an old hero from the dead, do our gods are this dispirited?" the embrace mon. Her boss sights.
"Unfortunately, lady mew said that all she can do is slow down the darkness and only the purest being will be able to dispel it," he said. He turns to her. "You know about the legend of legend?" She nods. "It is said when a catastrophe will end our word, a human will save it. It happened in the past." He turns to the savior now. "I heard that the pure human that dies goes to a place called heaven. The legends tell about some of them wanting to protect the living one. They become guardians called angels." The angel nods. "That's why they call our lord. An angel and a hero. The purest against the darkness as black as the void." The guildmaster closes his eyes for a moment before looking toward the trio. "Well, it is late. We will finish tomorrow. By the way, I'm Lawrence, the guildmaster."
"And I'm Alessia," the second-hand said. "I will show you your room if you would like to follow me." The trio nods. They follow her closing the door behind them. Lawrence still sits here, smiling at the event.
"Fate has turned to us," he said to himself. "I should tell lady mew too, I'm sure delight to hear it. And the paperwork, they will be éclaireur for sure. We will give our help to the savior as he helps us to fight back." He begins to write, beginning the long task known as paperwork.
The group climbed down a floor, still following Alessia. They find themselves at door 452.
"This will be your new room," the second-hand said as she opens the door. They can see from the outside three beds in the middle with blue sheets with stars.
"Thank you," said the cleaner mon, smiling at her. The protector mon put a hand in front of her mouth, hiding a giggle.
"Well, Blanche, Cynane, and lord Erpoejnel have a good night," said the embrace mon, bowing her head before leaving them. As she leaves, the trio enters their room, seeing it is big. It has a bed, shelves for books and items on the right, a chest next to the shelves, desks on the left, and a window behind the bed. Blanche puts her bag inside the chest before taking the right bed while Cynane takes the left bed. It leaves Erpoejnel with the middle bed.
"Good night," said the furry mon yawning before sleeping.
"Yes, good night," said the scaly mon, almost sleeping. The angel doesn't say anything, they know he is sleeping from the diminishing light of his body. While they sleep, a curious mon wonders in her room about the new auras, mainly the purest one.
"Is that maybe…" She lets the thought crawl, wondering how a mon has an aura almost like her father. She will find out tomorrow. For now, sleep.
Timeskip: Tomorrow morning
Blanche wakes up from her sleep, yawning and stretching her arms above her. As she looks around, she remembers she is in the guild now. On her right, she notices her knight friend already awakes, observing the otherworlder behind the desk. She walks to her, raising an eyebrow, receiving a shrug in return. Looking back at the world's savior, she smiles.
"Good morning, lord Erpoejnel," she said. It seems she surprises him with the moving head. He closes what seems a book, and stands up looking toward them.
"Good morning everyone. Sorry if I didn't notice you, I drown out everything so I can focus," he said sheepishly. The cleaner mon giggles while the knight shakes her head smiling.
"Is yond a journal, mine own l'rd," the knight said, pointing at the book.
"Yes, I like to write my adventure, so I can correct my mistakes," he said. They are surprised, it's a brilliant idea to use a journal like that. As the armored mon makes a note to have a journal too, the grey mon wonders something.
"Why would drown out everything? Is there a commotion outside?" she asked.
"Well…" he begins, taking a moment to find his word. "The words are already got out. The éclaireurs are curious right now," he said before sweatdropping for the next part. He points at the door. "There's… some waiting behind the door." A silence falls on the trio.
"Eh?" the furry mon cut it, stoned face and eyes wide open. Meanwhile, Cynane's eyes narrow dangerously, and she stomps toward the door, opening the door.
"What art thee doing h're? thou art both'ring us!" she snarled at the outside mon. And she is right to be angry, why would thirty mons gather in front of their door just to meet her lord? This is stifling and cumbersome.
"Aren't you a squost?"
"Is the savior really here?"
"Are you his knight or something?" More and more questions are sent to her, and her eyes narrow more at each question. A tick mark appears on her head, her clenched fist shaking. She points at them.
"If 't be true thee wanteth to meeteth mine own l'rd, 'twill beest in due timeth! and thee shall not beest suffocating liketh yond! even but now thou art both'ring us!" she snarled and was about to shut down the door but a hand on her shoulder stopped her. She looks at her side, shocked. Here is her lord floating. The crowd was about to converge on him. However, he would have nothing of it. He sends a wave of power, stopping them.
"My knight is right, we just want to prepare ourselves. I will answer your question, but in better condition, not in this suffocating crowd. Finally, you're all proud éclaireur, you ought to act with more tact and diligence in your duties. Now if you excuse us," he said before entering his room. The scaly mon takes the occasion to close the door. The outside mons are stamped for half a minute before the silence was cut.
"Did we approach them too aggressively?" one asked.
"I think so." They all look sheepish at this. One gets an idea.
"I think the guildmaster will present them. It will be a good time to talk to them." The other thought it is a good idea.
"Let's pray that the guildmaster isn't too angry too." They all cringed before scattering.
Meanwhile, the angel sits on his bed, taking a big breath.
"Are you alright?" asked worriedly the furry mon. He turns to her.
"Yes, I just don't like to be crowded," he replied back. She scratches her head back.
"I wonder if it's why the legendary mon separated them from the common one," she cringed at this thought.
"I bethink though," the knight said. A tense silence falls in the room. It is after one minute and a half that the angel cut it.
"We should go meet the guildmaster now." They nod at him.
Meanwhile
Inside his room, the guildmaster is already at work on his paperwork. Until a new mon decides to enter the room. It is a floating pink cat with a long tail and with a bulbous end. The dragon looks up before smiling.
"Hello lady mew, how are you this morning," he asked? The cat floats toward the desk. She smiles in return.
"Oh, I'm fine. Thank you, Lawrence. I've come because I have a question," she said in a soft voice, almost childish. He nods, stating he listens. "This about the new auras inside the guild, I'm intriguing. Can you tell me more about them?" Of course, she will be interested. We're talking about a being with a divine aura. Only her father and the creation trio have them. The chief waited three seconds before turning his head to the window smiling.
"Our patience has bearded their fruits," he said. The legendary mon is confused at that. Patience bearing its fruits, what is he talking about? He turns to her smiling wider. "The savior is here." Her eyes widen in shock. She approaches him.
"Really? Is it true? You're not joking, right?" With each statement, she approaches more and more to his head until she buttheads him. He leans back to have space to reply back, still smiling.
"Yes, it is true. If you wait, I'm sure you will meet them. They will come to finalize their recruitment in the guild." They don't move until mew nods vigorously. She floats quickly next to the window, letting the guildmaster continue his paperwork. They don't need to wait long. After five minutes, a knock can be heard.
"Enter," the dragon said, putting his paperwork on the side for now. The pink cat is at attention now. After all, she can feel this divine aura with two others. The first to enter is a Minccino with long hair and bearing the church symbol. She has a kind aura with some shyness in it. It is not them. The second to enter is a Squost. She can feel a proud and strong aura, but deep down it has a noble heart. She can feel frustration too. Did something happen this morning? Well, not her stuff. It is not them too. It means it is the third one. And this is where her mind shut down and her eyes widen. An aura worthy of gods, clothes showing purity, golden-silk hair, golden flower-patterns eyes hiding great wisdom. But they aren't the most flashing aspect of them. No, it is those rainbow wings acting as scarves. The feathers look so silky and the colors, you can compare them to Ho-oh ones. And the floating golden metallic spiked circle, the only mon you can compare to them is her father. They have golden pointed boots that are like her father's golden hove. They aren't a human. Normally, one would be transformed into a pokémon to save the world. But they are more than that. If she remembers correctly, they are called Angel. Where in the origin world did her father get this one? No, how did he get one?
"We came back like promised, guildmaster," she heard the chinchilla saying. Not good, she needs to stay focused. She shakes her head, putting it in the back of her head.
"I see it," the guildmaster said humorously. "Before we begin, I would like to introduce you to lady Mew." He points toward the pink cat. "Lady Mew, those three are Blanche, Cynane, and lord Erpoejnel." He points them in order. But Mew's sight is fixed on the angel.
"It is nice to meet you, Lady Mew," said the grey furry one bowing.
"Forsooth, t is nice to meeteth somemon of thy status, mistress mew," said the blue mon bowing too. The pure mon doesn't say anything. He just returns the ancestor of all look back. And how come he doesn't. A legendary pokémon, a mon beyond mortal one, one that he feels a connection with him. Is all legendary mon feel this connection? He doesn't have time to ponder his question. She teleported in front of him, their faces are very near. The pure mon's eyes widen a little before coming to normal again. Then she floats down, to his stomach. He wonders what she is doing. She teleports to his left, looking at his gloves and boots. Then to his behind, ruffling his feathers. It's quite weird, he can feel the administration even when the wings aren't connected to him. Finally, on his right, touching his halo. He decides to stop her now, now wanting to be touched like that. He floats and turns toward her, so he can be face to face.
"You're being rude, you know?" he said with a raised eyebrow. She becomes sheepish.
"Sorry, I was just curious," she said scratching behind her head before turning to the other girls. "And sorry for ignoring. I am indeed Mew, daughter of lord Arceus." She floats nearer them. "I see you're followers of my father's teaching." They nod at her.
"Yes, we are from Verdant village," the shy mon said. The floating cat nods. The taller dragon clears his throat, getting the other attention.
"Well, let's begin the procedure of recruitment," the hero group stands in front of the desk listening. "First, we need a name for your team."
"A name? We didn't think of one," said the grey guide cupping her chin. The armored mon thought hard too but can't find one.
"Do you have an idea, my lord," she said? The angel has his eyes closed, deep in thinking. After a moment, he opens them.
"Salvation…" he said. His companions smile at that.
"Team Salvation, I like it," said Blanche, getting a nod from the blue dragon!
"Team Salvation it is," the guildmaster said writing on a paper. After he finishes, he walks toward a cabinet, retrieving a big box.
"Here is your kit. Open it," he said, putting it on the floor in front of them. Cynane opens it, revealing the inside. There is a bag, a map, and badges with a distinctive blue stone.
"Whoa," exclaimed the guide! She put the bag on her other shoulder, put the map in the new bag, and gave one badge to her friend. The angel inspects it. It is a white oval stone with some blue buttons in the middle and wings attached to it. The behind is flat while the front is bulbous. He sees his friends putting them on their chests. But his chest is already taken. He decides to attach it to his hair as a clip, on the left side.
"This is quite a unique way to wear a badge," the pink cat said, smiling mischievously. The sound dragon nods.
"Well, if you please go to the third floor. Alessia waits for you there. She will introduce you to the other and do a tour of the guild." They nod before leaving the room. After a minute of silence, the guildmaster decides to cut it.
"So, what do you think of them," he asked the legendary mon?
"Honestly, I never thought of the savior being an angel," she said before turning toward her companion. "His eyes are of a hero, full of benevolence and determination. And what purity, it's like no darkness can fight him. But aren't angels really close to their god?"
"Well, what he remembers, he sacrificed himself to save his old world. But when he rested in a place called 'Heaven', he remembers a flash before standing in front of his new friends," he explained before asking, "what does it mean?" She cringes at that.
"I think his old world's god wasn't happy about his end. When my father sent a helping call to the other world, this god must take it to give him a second chance," she explained.
"I see, then let's help him to save the world, so he can have a happy end this end," he said. She nods at that. "Also, do you think he will be recognized by the other legendary as one of them?"
"Well, some will take more time than others, but yes the end like me," she said before smiling. "I'm sure my father will love him." She realized something. "I should tell the other that he arrived." She floats quickly to her room. Now that he's alone, the dragon decides to continue his paperwork smiling along with his work.
Meanwhile
"Ah, did you finish?" Alessia said smiling, seeing the trio approach.
"Yes, we just finished the team creation," the furry mon said to her group.
"I see, well, the others are waiting as you can see," she said to the crowd of éclaireurs in the middle of the floor. The floor is separated into two sections. The middle of the floor acts as a rendezvous for a reunion with all éclaireurs with a stage. On the left is the cafeteria and on the diagonal are stairs leading to the platform which has the door for the bedroom. The spiraling stairs are behind the stage near the wall.
The trio can see the éclaireurs whispering at each other.
"I desire those gents jumpeth not on us liketh this m'rning," said the scaly mon, narrowing her eyes.
"Oh don't worry, " said the embrace mon, smiling sweetly, "I made sure that they don't do it again." Her smile becomes too sweet, and a dark aura surrounds her. The whispers stop, replaced by shivers. Even Blanche shivers at that while Cynane has her eyes wide open with sweat leaving her left temple. The only one not affected is Erpoejnel who looks amused.
'Ah, nostalgia,' he thought.
"Now, everyone," the protector mon said, clapping her hand, attracting all mons, "it is time for an introduction. Those three are our new team," her words make the éclaireurs' eyes widen, "there are Blanche, Cynane, and lord Erpoejnel. I hope you give them a big welcome," she said smiling at the end. A silence falls on the floor before it is violently broken by the assault of questions. The girls look bewildered while the angel sight.
"Ara, they don't listen it seems," the second-hand said with again this too sweetly smile and her dark aura. The questions stop while everyone shivers except the angel who snickers a little.
"Scary," said the guide scared.
"Is th're something comical, mine own l'rd," said confused the armored mon.
"Sorry, only memories, I will tell you after," he said and she accepts it. "For now let's answer those questions. I'm sure it will take some time." And he is right, it takes all the rest of the morning to answer all the questions.
Timeskip: midday
"I'm sorry if this takes so much time." the embrace mon apologized to them.
"It's alright. I was prepared to answer them," the angel said with the girl nodding. The second-hand smiles.
"Then, how about we take lunch before I give you your first task for today?" The trio nods, following the gardevoir to the cafeteria. Well, the first day being an éclaireur is interesting the angel thought. He wonders what first tasks they will get. But being beginners, he's sure they will get something mundane. If he is visiting the town, he must be prepared, because the day will be long.
