Hello, everyone. This is Aya Shameimaru, your one and only reliable source of news that brings forth the truth! Today is the day that I'll publish a news that will shook Gensokyo itself, well it actually maybe tomorrow as I don't handle the printing BUT! I'm currently at my home preparing the said article! Sitting in my very own lovely desk as I review and revise it. Want to know more about my home? It is a fine and lovely place, is it not? Not to big but not too small either. I have a lot of papers but they are arranged and organized, unlike that certain human's home that's so messy. Also over there is the pinboard where I put my notes and photos that can help me arrange my thoughts and connect events! Hmph, I suddenly remembered that this things are the ones used by conspiracy theorist which I have been falsely labeled that time.

Anyway let's move on. It took me a lot of time and effort in making sure that I don't make a mistake on making this article. I'm still thinking of what should be the name for the headline though. That will be decided after I recount the events that I went through.

First of let's start of from the day I heard rumours about a new peculiar outsider dropping in Gensokyo. How did I heard about this? Well, the wind told me! What? You don't believe me? Nonsense! I'm a crow tengu! That's all you need to know!

Now where was I? Ah, yes I went to the Forest of Magic as this is where I heard that outsider is first seen. I scanned the area for like many minutes and I still haven't found the said outsider. Could it be that I'm a little late? I considered that and maybe it's time to move on to another place! The Hakurei Shrine! I have a hunch that I find what I'm looking for there.

On my way, I bumped into another troublesome person, Hatate Himekaidou. This person is a crow tengu the same as me, but the most annoying part of her is that she's a journalist too. In other words she's my rival in newspaper writing. My Bunbunmaru Newspaper is way more better than her Kakashi Spirit News. You agree right? Anyway I quickly said to her.

"Hatate! You're getting in my way again! This scoop is mine!" I gestured my hand in a way on how you shoo people in this case a medling shut-in crow.

"No way! How can I improve if I don't take action myself? Gathering first hand info should save me from publishing late. Although I hate going out but if it helps in improving on my take on articles then I'll take that sacrifice!" She seems really fired up for a reason. She's been like this ever since that time she observed my way on how I gather information for my articles.

"Fine, just don't get in my way." I said and then continued going forth to my destination. To my surprise I still see her behind my back.

"Why are you following me?! Don't tell me..."

I had that feeling that she too is going there and is probably covering the same scoop as me.

"I'm not following you, it's just that the shrine is my destination too." Yeah right! You totally want to steal a march on me!

Apparently our bickering stopped as we saw the shrine which of course was empty, the person in charge must be inside either sleeping or slacking off. I mean no one visits that shrine except the yokai, seriously what good is that shrine if it attracts what it is supposed to repel? I remember back in the days where it was pouring with humans. Even the one that was left from the outside world is thriving back then. It started to fall to the current state today when the first Hakurei presumably died due to that incident. The first Hakurei shrine maiden would be very furious if she saw the current state today.

"Hey, Aya... I think we found our outsider." Hatate said which made me look from where she is pointing. I see the doll maker walking down on the road with someone with a silver hair and it looks like Hatate is right so I immediately flew to their location to take pictures. If possible I'd like an interview but let's observe for now.

"Ayayaya~...now this looks interesting..." I muttered to myself as I carefully hid in the trees. From the looks of it, they are probably on their way to the human village. That said... "Why the heck are you hiding with me! Hatate!" I'm getting irritated at the way she's always following me.

"Shhh...shut your beak, Aya. You just happen to hide in a perfect spot for pictures." She said as she snap a photo using that so called camera phone of hers. If we aren't in a hunt for a scoop I've blown her away the instant she said that.

"Watch your beak, I might just shove in your trashy newspaper in there."

"What did you say?" She glared at me for a moment but then turned her attention to the person we're following with 'hmph'.

We then saw then go in to that shop Kourindou. As expected Hatate is still on my feathers.

With my superior sneaking and photographic skills I can take a photo even if they are inside. I just need a window which of course this shop has. Me and Hatate positioned ourselves in that window, to be honest that window is too small so we can't actually fit both at the same time.

"Grr..Aya! Stop squirming! You ruin the shot!" She said quietly as we don't want to alarm the people inside. We look like a stalker, taking photos of their victims at this point if you ask me.

While we managed to take a good shot of the people conversing inside. We could not help but overhear their conversation.

"Whoa... with just a repair that sword would look good as new! I wonder what kind of ore and materials my swords are made off?" I hear this voice that sounds feminine and I haven't heard, she must be the outsider.

"Hmm, yours looks unique. I bet it's made different than this sword. Who knows? Yours might be a higher quality than this." The voice of the shop owner, Rinnosuke said. I'm writing what I'm hearing on my trusty old notebook Bunkachou.

"Cool! Oops! We've been here long enough already! I'll come back some other time and we can talk more about swords! We'll get going now, thanks! Rin!" She said and I could only grin at this as I found that interesting. Looks the shop owner has a new girl that will visit him. I wonder what sort of scoops will that make? But before that we need to flee as they might see us. This is also a good opportunity to take a photo of her, up close!

We waited for them to come out on the door and the moment they did, we took their picture. After a while, I looked at Hatate who seems tired already. Oh, she's leaving.

"Leaving so soon? What happened with such sacrifices?" I said.

"They'll go to the village and I don't think I should bother disguising myself. I have what I need anyway." She said as she flew away leaving me behind. I kind of expected that, at least she won't be bothering me anymore as I get this scoop!

I've followed them to the village. They went to that road Yokai Trail. Surprisingly, they didn't encounter any yokai. Perhaps it is because of that doll maker or maybe it's the other way around?

They reached the village without any trouble and of course I'm following them inside as I've disguised myself. I already have my own persona here so no one would suspect me. I just hope I won't meet that tanuki, she always gets in my way here in the village.

After observing them for a while. It seems like they really are just touring the village. I'm not really wasting my time as just need to be patient enough to get that valuable information! Which in turn will be made into a scoop!

Oh, they finally went into the book rental shop. Good thing I don't actually need to go in to hear what they are saying. But still I think I have seen her before? But when? I think a little jog on my memory should do the trick. Hmm, according to what I'm hearing they are renting a book and this time they are introducing themselves.

Huh? Did I hear that right? The outsider's name is 'Rain Nanase'. I better write this down. As I write down her name, the more I am remembering the past. Wait... this name isn't this... a silver-white haired girl with wielding a set of katana, and with different colored eyes. But how? No way! Is it really her?

I could not believe it that I've lost track of their conversation. Seems like they already got what they wanted and is preparing to leave. The Child of Miare is also here it seems if that is really her then she too will recognize her. I should do an interview to her to see if she does indeed.

I'd hang back as I got that important detail, this will surely be a big scoop! Oh, they left already. Now's my chance! I gleefully walk towards the book store but I stopped before entering as I saw this person, to the ordinary eyes she's just a normal human but in truth she's the tanuki that I don't want to deal with.

"Oh my, sneaking around like is not nice." I heard her mischievious voice as she also stops as we come face to face.

"I can already smell you sneaking tanuki, Mamizou..." I said making her chuckle a bit.

"Ah, don't utter my real name out aloud, also, since when did you became a dog? I'm just here to rent a book, no need to glare at me like that. But I do want to know, what brings you here?" She adjusted her glasses while wearing that smirk in her face in a way that annoyed me as if telling me she already know what I'm doing.

"Don't try to do something to our newcomer or it may just cost you." She casually said while she shrugs and gave me a warning.

I cannot stand it that this scheming tanuki is always a step ahead of me. She's the type that you can't easily get a quick around to pass. So I will not easily fall to play in her hands. All I could do now is return some other time.

"I guess I could come back next time, I can't do an interview with you around." I said as I turned around and left. I can hear her softly laughing and then entering the book store. I swear she's always there whenever I'm here in the village. I have the feeling we'll meet again but no worries as I have other tricks up in my feathers.

I'll continue my observation and gather more info to ensure that I'm not missing any details and clarity to what I'm about to publish.

The day after

So far here's what I gathered from the past few days: One it seems like she got involved with a spell card battle and disrupted it by blocking it resulting in her to being blown away to the Forest of Magic. She survived the fall and even battled a yokai! This is getting clear to me now. That's one proof that she is that same person. Second is her trip to the village, the villagers there doesn't seem to recognize her, and of course they don't after all because a lot of time has passed. Probably the old folks will. I tried to look if there if there are paintings or pictures of her but it would seem like only those with connection with her would have it, and I know they might not be eager to lend it to me. Finally, the would have been interview with the Child of Miare but it was foiled by that scheming tanuki.

I tried to do an interview with the shop keeper to see if he has any knowledge on the weapons she possessed as he had that ability but he seems eager to keep his mouth shut. Clearly, he knows something and somebody made sure to keep him in check.

Rain seems to be staying at the Hakurei Shrine which is a good. After all I would feel sorry for the yokai that she encounters if she just wanders around. Yes, not the other way around. There is a huge reason for that and if you're a troublesome yokai the more reason you should avoid her. But that said she seems to have lost her memory. I wonder if does that include her skills and abilities? I don't think so.

So in my current investigation. There is no doubt about it. She's the same person as the one from the past. This would be the scoop for tomorrow. As I am finishing this article and it is ready to print, as well as be distributed.

She's evenly a great threat to Gensokyo if someone uses her as her memory is gone. Should someone manipulates her memory, we would have a hard time dealing with her and this might as well damage Gensokyo to the fullest as her destructive capabilities cannot be measured.

Perhaps I'm overthinking things but I do remember clashing with her in the past not the fighting way but a different way of competition. Now that I think about it, she's the only one who can hold out against us in a drinking battle. She's a nice person as long as you don't get on her bad side. I should open up my diary to see if I ever written anything about her. That would give more additional insights!

Which brings us back here at the present! I'm currently proofreading my article. Looks like it is all set to be print! I also decided on the article's name! Just reading it would very much intrigue everyone! With that, I'm off to have this printed and soon be delivered to those who need the truth! This is Aya Shameimaru, dashing out!

The Armchair Thoughtography Reporter's side

While Aya is busy stalking that outsider, all I need is input this here. Voila! New pictures of her is appearing. Hmm? Seems like she really is staying at the Hakurei Shrine. The picture that appeared is the proof. She look just like an ordinary human to me. That laid back smile and a beautiful face, I admit she seems like she is enjoying her stay.

I have gathered first hand information about her. Apparently I've managed to talked to Miss Alice Margatroid as she is the one who gave me that information in exchange for a photo of the person I'm asking about. That photo is a full body picture, taken with precise accuracy. It is a photo of her new outsider friend called Rain Nanase, sitting on the porch of the shrine, smiling at the clouds with tea in her hand. I wonder, what will she use the photo for?

Nevertheless, it was an honest deal with no malicious intent, I think. Though I did say I'll help by spreading her friend's current situation through my newspaper. It may attract those who can help her, which would be a huge accomplishent for me too!

Rain's situation is that she've lost her memory, apart from her name and is currently here looking for help. I do like to cover on how'd she got here but miss Alice doesn't clearly said on how. Either she doesn't know or she is not telling it. I'll just have to personally visit and interview miss Rain after this article as cramming a lot of info in one article is not a good way of reporting, so the interview will come at the next article.

Alright this seems to be good. I reviewed this enough times to be printed. Technically I'd say it would be convenient to just mail it the yamabushi tengu department but I feel inclined to give this myself. They probably hang this back for a good two or three days if I don't get persistent, just like what Aya always does. That's why she always gets her article in the public so fast. I wonder how they feel from being politely told on how to print her papers the way she envisioned it.

It's decided. I'll go there myself and have this printed within this day or at least be ready tomorrow!

"That's it! Feel fired up!" I said as I left my house with the papers and photos in bundle.

The society here is always bustling especially at the time of afternoon, which is now. I could see many tengu walking and flying about. Their chattering and the sound of their geta, and wings flapping filled this area. This is just a part of the district. I'll get to see more of the other tengu as I walk down to get to the yamabushi district.

Most of the buildings in this area are houses, well this is the residential district. Some of the houses are built into the rock of the mountain, while others are situated on some very tall trees. My house is one those, I cannot be bothered with loud sounds and the air up there is refreshing. My house is not made out of stone but with rare woods and all materials used in it are top quality. In short, my house is very exquisite. It is very nice to see on the outside and very much so even in the inside.

As I go through the bustling crowd, my tengu eyes twitch as I saw none other than my competitor, Aya Shameimaru. That smile she wears must mean she already has that scoop. As I look at her, she turned her head to my direction and then our eyes met.

"Ayayaya? If isn't the yesterday's news, Hatate." She greeted me with an insult.

"That's not how you're supposed say 'hello' to your fellow crow tengu. Don't ruin my mood today, Aya." I annoyingly replied. Somehow that didn't stop her from approaching me and I can see that she's also heading to the same location as I am because of that bundle of papers and photos she's carrying.

"I'm on my way to get my article printed. I know we're both covering the same news but hey, the content will be very much different." She said as if hinting that hers is more better. No, she'll probably exaggerate it.

"Yeah, right." I snorted out of contempt. She seems to be in high spirits today. So I ask.

"Quite perky today aren't we?" I can see her grin at me as I said that.

"Yeah, this scoop will be my best one yet. Everyone will come flocking to get it." She confidently said.

"We're covering the same scoop. I don't see why do you think a new outsider is this interesting." I glanced at her and saw her snickering.

"You'll soon see, after all if you haven't been a shut-in then perhaps you'll obtain some of the information on why that particular outsider is big news."

Just because I'm just a fledgling doesn't give you the right to insult me like that.

"Ehhh? I won't ask as you won't even say it." I replied as we are nearing their destination. At that moment they saw a white wolf tengu not one but many. They are presumably resting after all they are the guards of the mountain. This area after all is the rest area. They rotated different shifts so other squads may rest. I saw a particular white wolf tengu I am familiar with.

"Oh? Momiji? Is your shift over already?" I said as we approach her.

"Mm? Hatate?" She's about to greet Aya but knowing that it is Aya she stopped.

"Geh! It's the crow tengu who's a pain in the rear." She crosses her arms and ignored her.

"Ayayaya~, if it isn't the guard who always lets the intruders pass by." Aya said mockingly, making Momiji replied with a snarl.

"I was having a good break but seeing you and even just talking to you made it bad." She said much to her chagrin on those past events which made her furrow her forehead.

"Glad I've been useful!" Aya chirped, I can see that she's purposely doing this so I need to drag her with me or a fight will start.

"Come on, Aya. Enough about that, don't you want that story printed?" I said to make her lose interest on Momiji.

"Oh, yeah! My story is much more important than this little puppy." She said as she ran off without me.

"WHAT!?" Momiji shouted and I also left her as I need to catch up to Aya. As I take a last glance to her I can see her stomping on the ground. She hollered quite the nastiest insult she could say to Aya, again and again. I can't repeat that though as I said, pretty nasty.

I quickly catch up with the chirpy crow who seems happy that she gets to pissed off Momiji. I can only sigh at this.

"Ahhh~ That was fun! I can hear her barking all the way." She said with a chuckle while that made me frown. But enough about that I wanted to ask her more about-

"Come on, Aya. What did you actually learn about her?" She knows who I am talking about and then I saw her face turn to me and gave me a smug. I swear I could just suddenly remove my geta and slap her with it.

"You wanna know? I can give you a single hint only!" She said. I'm willing to take it although I hope she's not lying.

"I take what I can get."

"Alright." She said, making me listen to her intently.

"She and the big boss, Lord Tenma know each other." She smirks again, awaiting for my reaction. Of course I would be surprise and at first would not believe her because.

"What? She's a human and Lord Tenma is not that accepting to meet such a human, unless-" I stopped as I realized what Aya meant.

"She's a big shot too!" I said out aloud making Aya giggle.

"Bingo, but that's not all she's also that big in all the yokai. Consider that last tip as a bonus." She said as we reached our destination and she quickly went it to have her article printed. I could already hear the other tengus complaining that Aya is here.

I stopped outside and thought about what she said. Does Aya really know other things about Rain? How and what are those? Perhaps this Rain person is not really an outsider? Ugh, just thinking about this is tiring my brains out. I guess, I would find out when her article does come out. For now, I'll stick on what I got. So I also headed in to print my article.

A Peculiar Outsider Arrives!

Apparently Lost Her Memories, Seeking For Help.

A few days ago, the outsider named Rain Nanase appeared and took refuge in the Hakurei Shrine. At first she may seem like your ordinary outsider but there are rumors that she is more what she appears to be.

She wears something unusual and part of that is an armor coloured black around her shoulders and hips. That's not all she has a pair of swords with her. Not exactly common for the usual outsider to wear. A great mention is her apparent beauty and her different colored eyes consisting of red and green.

Usually, outsiders that finds themselves here opted to get send back or live in Human Village. But she's different as she's staying on the Hakurei Shrine. Other yokai seems to be wary and avoids her. She also visited the Human Village and they all seem very welcoming to her.

I'm quite sure many readers would be wondering, "What's so special about her to be included in a headline?" I thought so too but with the frequent of outsiders appearing that seems stronger than your average human. Don't you think the outside world has a lot of strong humans? Hence, why this article is made for awareness.

I've managed to interview a local resident in Forest of Magic that she have frequently interacted with. As they wished to be anonymous, their names will not be said nor written and this is their statement.

"She's a nice person and very friendly as long as you don't attack or harass her. She can fend off most yokai who would do so. Also I'd like to say that currently she lost her memories and all she can remember is her name. If anyone could help her, she'll very much be thankful."

As said in the statement, she currently has a what we call an amnesia. If anyone is willing to help or know someone who can. Kindly go to the Hakurei Shrine as she is currently staying there. Also a good opportunity to pay respects to the shrine itself. It has a nice view and perfect for a sight seeing. An interview with her will be followed, please stay tuned.

The Legendary Yokai Exterminator Returns?!

How and Why? Blessing or Disaster?

You might have heard that Gensokyo back in the day are in the hands of yokai but when the yokai exterminators emerged the balanced was tipped back right at the middle. It is all thanks to her who led such humans. She's renowned with many titles and known in many areas. But that was long ago and that she mysteriously disappeared along with the first Hakurei shrine maiden (1).

But now she shows up once again, but how? A human life is too short to live 200 years, there are other rumors that say she existed back a thousand years ago (2) and is the first to be crowned as the yokai exterminator. Is she really a human? A god in disguise? Or perhaps something else?

Where to find her? She's currently staying at the Hakurei Shrine the last time she also said to have disappeared. Coincidence? I don't think so! Another interesting fact is that she currently has no memory of her past but I do heard she retains her powers (3).

The question is "Is she good news or bad news?" I think for the yokai she is bad news and for humans she is seen as a blessing (4).

How powerful is the Legendary Yokai Exterminator? I could say she can fight an oni head on and that she's capable of exterminating from far away. Scary no? She's also said to punish human criminals and other beings that she comes across (5).

If anyone sees her, please give her the proper respects and you might just survive an encounter with her. I'm personally planning to do an exclusive interview with her. Please stay tuned for that.

1. The Child of Miare should have a recollection of that event. Newspaper is not yet available at that time and so is my camera.

2. It maybe true, I once saw her with my own eyes. Though there still the possibility that she's a reincarnation. The old folks may remember her.

3. Her powers are very much shrouded in mystery as she doesn't show them very much except when she's fighting and doing her job. She also has many different titles like The Slayer From The East.

4. Humans back then are at ease when people like her are around. While the yokai feared her.

5. Yokai are not the only ones that are subject to her extermination.

Human Village

Gossips could be heard as they read through the newspapers, both actually arrived at the same time.

"Hey, is this true?"

"I dunno, but if it is then we have another protector, albeit a returnee. Still two different newspapers covering such story at the same time are rarely to happen."

"I'll believe it when I see it."

"Pal, you literally just talked to her a few days ago."

"Wait? Really? That beauty is the legendary yokai exterminator?"

"Hey old man, is this true?"

"Hmm... I'd say yes, I do remember that my father used to tell me a story regarding her. One of them is how she beat an oni in an unusual but friendly way."

"Really? Let us hear it!"

Hieda residence

Hieda no Akyuu sats down on her desk as she read through newspaper even though that this paper is not that reliable, she still thinks that it is worth the information. Then she saw the picture of Rain and reads the headline.

"?!" She's very surprise although she had that thought of possibility.

"So it really is true... wait an amnesia?" She uttered as her eyes scrolled to that part.

"This is really big news and a part of me is happy that she's alive." She then looks at a certain book near her desk and it's labeled "My diary".

Kourindou

Rinnosuke can be seen reading the newspaper as he sips a cup of tea.

"It appears that someone already recognized her, probably the one who wrote it this. Still I can't believe it at first but I'm glad she's alive. How could I forgotten?" He stood up and picked up a box just behind him. This box was actually given to him by Yukari and she said to him.

"Give this to her, when that time comes. You're all grown up now. You know what to do."

He gently opened it and there lies a mask seemingly cracked in half but it was somehow fixed though the damage is still visible. This mask has a unique design it is coloured white and has red designs that runs over to the eyes. it also has ears that resembles a fox. In other words, this is a kitsune mask or fox mask.

"Thank you, for giving me a chance in life." He softly muttered.

Eintei

"Princess Kaguya, you have to see this." a feminine voiced called out to her. The said person has dark grey eyes, long silver hair, has a large braid on her back and carries a strange pair of bow and arrow. Her clothing is red and blue and is covered with constellation patterns. She also wears something similar to a nurse's cap.

Her name is Eirin Yagokoro.

"Ah, Eirin? What's the matter?" Kaguya said as she looks at her. Her very long black hair moves as she turned. Kaguya has a dark brown eyes and said long black hair with ahime cut style. She wears a pink shirt with many white bows, and a long, dark burgundy skirt decorated in plants and flowers representing the four seasons. Her full name is Kaguya Houraisan, the exiled princess of the moon.

"I'll let you read this, at first I thought it was the usual junk but as I glanced over it. It may as well shock you." She said as she hands over the paper to her and await her reaction.

"Really? I doubt i-" Her words stopped as she saw the picture of Rain.

Eirin seems to smile a bit and said.

"Remember that time when you said 'I'll believe we will meet again.' You still believe Kaguya-sama that one day you'll see her again. You may have met someone like her but this time you're meeting HER again."

"I want to go Eirin..." She said as she slowly stood up.

However, Eirin shook her head. "Perhaps you didn't read the whole story but she's missing her memory. That means she will not remember you."

"Then! I'll make her remember! Even if I fail then you'll surely to succeed, right?" Kaguya said as her usual calm demeanor is broken.

"I'm afraid even I cannot guarantee that, princess. I'll send Reisen to fetch her but-" She suddenly stopped.

"But?"

"Nothing, as I said we'll send Reisen to her. While you wait and prepare. Don't try to provoke her though I think you'll call her a peasant again when you two meet. I can already picture her flipping yet another table." She chuckled as Kaguya remembers the past and smiled.

"Looks like you're smiling again princess, I rarely see that."

"Well, It's like meeting your long lost love ones. That's what I think when I started reading books!"

"Hmm, that's an odd way to compare but I'll go now and inform our Reisen of her new mission." She said as she walks away from Kaguya.

"I can't wait. I hope she's still the same...huh. What I am talking about? Of course she's still the same. After all it is her." She smiled again.

Hakugyokorou

"Yuyuko-sama! I found this newspaper! It flew right into my face!" The half-human half-phantom quickly handed it to her mistress.

This is girl is one whom others confuse her for, she is Youmu Konpaku. She has short silver hair and blue eyes. She wears an outfit generally consists of a aquamarine vest and skirt over a white undershirt with several ghost insignias along the edges of the skirt and one on the breast pocket of her vest. She wears a black bowtie and hairband with black ribbon tied off-center in her hair. She also has a pair of swords that is why many characters who know her mistake Rain as her.

Though their only differences is that Rain is tall and she's short, and she had her ghostly half. A white phantom as large as her human self.

"Yaawn~ What is this?" The person named Yuyuko asked.

Apparently she's a ghost not a living being. There are phantoms that surround her as proof of this. She has maroon eyes and slightly long pink wavy hair. She wears a light blue and white kimono with dark blue trim and white designs; a blue mob cap on the front of which is ahitaikakushi with a red ghost insignia; and a veil of the same color of the kimono behind her head. She wears dark shoes with blue ribbons attached.

"Oh? Did you go to the Human Village?" She said as she looks at the photo.

"No, but who is she? She looks like a bit me but not really."

"Mhm? Perhaps she's your lost sister? You never told me about this." Yuyuko seems joking but Youmu takes that seriously.

"I don't have one. I sort of wanted to meet her maybe she has connections with master Youki." She said as she envisions an old man which is also the same as her.

"Oh, she does." Yuyuko casually does making Youmu blurt out a big "What!".

"Come on now, no shouting. I said she knows Youki who is your master and grandfather." She holds out her fan and flaps it.

"Please tell me more!" Youmu seems to be very intrigued that she's showing puppy eyes to her mistress.

"Sure, Rain is a good friend of mine. She once tended the garden in her own free will. Usually she'll clash with Youki. While Yukari and I watch their sword fight. It was lively, you should have seen Youki's happy face when he fights her."

"Yukari said, she left for an adventure. Not fair I wanted to come with her but I can't as I have my duties. Anyways, now that she's back I'll wait for her to visit." She continued.

"I can't believe it. Master smiling? Usually all I get when he says something are his thundering scolding." Youmu said as she remembered the past and shivered at the thought of it.

"Well he does like fighting especially to the one whom he lost to."

"Wait? He lost to her?" Youmu said as her mouth hangs open for she can't believe it.

"Oh yes, big time. He was rather cocky back then and after his defeat he seems to have changed for the better." Yuyuko said as she shoots a smile to her servant.

"Uwaah~ now I'm more inclined to challenge her!" Youmu excitedly proclaimed.

"Hmm, a half bake like you won't stand a chance against her." She said, crushing Youmu's confidence.

"Waah~, lady Yuyuko why are you so mean?"

Yuyuko chuckles and said. "Just siding on my friend. No hard feelings. That said, Yukari should be arriving soon, she's the first to have heard of this." Just as she said that a gap appeared just beside her.

"Just in time for tea, Yuyuko?" Yukari emerged in the gap with a smile.

"You heard her Youmu." She said making Youmu turn around and do her job.

"Hmm, so it begins. You better not leave your job just to see her. She'll come by when the time comes." Yukari said to her friend.

"Are you saying that I'll do that? Well I can but as I read here. She won't remember us. I wonder what happened? Oh, poor Rain. I missed her cooking, so Yukari you better get her memory back, quickly."

Yukari chuckles and said. "She'll get mad at you if that's the only reason you've missed her." Causing the ghost princess to squirm as she realized what she meant.

"Waah! I can already imagine her angry face and her taking away my precious food! As she deems that I'll get fat."

"That said we have a plan already, if it fails then..." She sighed and then another gap opened right next to Yuyuko. "I brought this." She handed a seemingly painting wrapped in a transparent glass.

"Ooh! This was at that time?" She said as she took it and looks at the painting with nostalgia.

"I'm surprise you still remember."

"Hey! I'm not that old to be forgetful!"

The two playfully laughed at each other as they both stare at the painting. The content of the painting is that there are three people. The left side is Yukari holding a fan to hide her mouth and at the right side is Yuyuko, holding a what seemed to be a fried chicken in both of her hands while raising them with a smile. At the center who is none other than Rain herself, smiling with a crossed arms.

Former Hell

"Hey, who put this junk here? Ugh, Probably one of the customers left it here." A tall figure said as she picks up the newspaper and just as when she's about to crample the paper. She stopped as she saw at what is written in it.

She's not a human as she has a single red horn coming out of her forehead. She is Yuugi Hoshiguma, an oni. She has a long, straight blonde hair, red eyes, and wears a light blue yukata with a purple obi.

"Hey, Suika, check this out." Her face turned into a malicious grin. As she walks up to her oni friend. Surpringly this other oni looks so small compared to her and is wearing a yukata too, chugging on gourd which without a doubt contains sake.

The other small oni name is Suika Ibuki who has two long straight oni horns on her head, decorated with ribbons.

"Hmm? A newspaper? Let me read it." She swipes the paper off Yuugi and quickly read it.

"Oh! She's alive? I should have visited the shrine these past few days. I could have a drinking contest with her!" She excitedly exclaimed.

"Heh! Looks like we're going up for a while! Of course you're coming, right!" Her grin still there as she asked her friend.

"You bet!" She hops off from where she is sitting.

(Cue, Cave a Desire Drive)

Yuugi upon hearing this stomps her foot at the ground which cracked due to her sheer strength.

"It's payback time! I haven't felt this much excitement since those humans. Now I'm more excited! I still have a score to settle with her which makes this trip more worth it!" She then took a sip from her sake dish as her other hand folded into a fist due to her excitement.

"Um, who'll manage the hot spring while we're gone? Also we should change our outfit first." Suika suggested.

"Fine... but eh? You're worried about that? Let it be for now. This one is more important!"

Looks like the oni's will be visiting the surface once again.

So today the news will spread like wildfire. Each people driven by their own desire as they make their move.

As this is happening. Rain and her friends are already at the Scarlet Devil Mansion. The news will come but it may be too late for them to know about what is coming next.

A/N: Things are getting interesting, a human that is feared by the yokai? Aya maybe is just exaggerating but she's been around long enough to see it and be credited as a source herself. But then again, looks like the yokai are on the move, thanks to her.
