Donut Friendship – Chapter 18: Hakuji (Akaza)
„Come on, Hakuji! We're almost there!" said a female voice
"I am coming." replied a male voice with a smile
The two were Hakuji and Koyuki. They were together and even though they were still students, they were already married. Because of that, the two were the most popular couple on the academy.
Koyuki was an energetic girl, who loved to try out new things. Recently, she heard rumors about a bakery that sold really tasty donuts. Naturally, she wanted to try them out, so she asked her boyfriend (husband) Hakuji, to go visit the bakery together.
"Thank you for coming with me!" said Koyuki with a big smile as she held Hakuji's hand
"What are you saying? Of course I go with you." replied Hakuji smiling as he walked next to her
As the two were walking, Hakuji thought about the bakery.
"I wonder what kind of bakery that is… must be pretty special if Koyuki wants to visit it that badly…"
"Say…" said Hakuji, to which Koyuki looked at him
"What kind of bakery are we going to?" he asked
"Oh! I heard that it's called the Kamado Bakery, and that they became famous thanks to their donuts!" Koyuki replied
"Donuts…?" Hakuji mumbled confused
"Yes! And that it is a pretty popular spot to hang out after school! So I am sure we meet some of our friends there!" Koyuki replied with a smile
"Sure." Hakuji nodded and smiled

"Hey, how is it going? Hahaha!" said a male voice from behind
Koyuki turned around to see who it was, but Hakuji already knew it… and he wasn't very happy when he heard THAT voice.
"Ah! Doma! Hello!" Koyuki said with a smile as she saw him standing behind the two
Hakuji slowly turned around, with a face of disgust.
"What are you doing here…?" he asked as his eye twitched
Standing with a big smile behind the two, was Doma.
"It's good to see you too, Akaza!" Doma said with a smile
"Hm? Akaza?" Koyuki looked at Hakuji confused
"That was my nickname back then when I was in middle school…" Hakuji replied
"AND YOU DON'T CALL ME THAT! AND GET LOST!" Hakuji added as he looked at Doma
"Huh! How mean!" Doma said as he made a surprised face
"We're on a date now! Leave us alone!" Hakuji replied
"Don't be so mean, my friend! I just came here to talk to you!" Doma said with a sad face
"I don't want to talk! Get lost!" Hakuji replied
Doma made a sad face and looked at Koyuki.
"Can you believe this guy? I just came here to talk, and he tells me to get lost! Oh… what a terrible friend he is!" said Doma
Koyuki looked at Hakuji and spoke up.
"Hakuji! Doma is a nice person who just wants to talk with you! Be nice to him!" she said
"What?! He is not nice! He is-" Hakuji replied, but was cut of
"No! I don't want to hear any excuses from you! I will be back in two minutes, and while I am gone, you will talk with him!" she said with a determined face
"But…" Hakuji tried to protest
"No buts! I will be right back!" she replied and went somewhere
As she left their sight, Hakuji slowly turned to Doma, who was smiling.
"Great, now we can talk!" Doma said with a smile
"…" Hakuji just stared at him, and his eye twitched
He wanted to enjoy his date, but now he had to talk with one of the annoying people in the world. The two had a history together. Both of them were in the same class in middle school, and they have been friends in the past. But after spending time together, the two found out that they had different goals in life and parted ways…
"I am happy to see that you two are still together!" Doma said with a smile
"Shut up. What do you want." Hakuji asked annoyed
"Straight to the point! I like that!" Doma replied
"So, listen here! I am working for this guy…" Doma explained
"Cut the crap, you're a scammer, and you work alone." Hakuji replied
"No, I am not! I am a fortune-teller and a businessman! But right now, I took a job at this company, and now I am working for this Muzen… or Muzan-something guy!" Doma replied
"…uh-huh." Hakuji replied and looked around, hoping for Koyuki to return
"Well, and last week, I got assigned a special mission… that I sadly failed…" Doma explained with a sad face
"And because I failed… I was about to get fired. And I don't want to get fired! The pay is really good and-" Doma continued
"GET TO THE POINT." Hakuji snapped at him
"Ok, ok! In the last meeting, I managed to persuade mister Muzan not to fire me! If I find him some new employees, that is!" Doma explained
"And I instantly thought about you!" Doma said with a smile while pointing at Hakuji
"…" Hakuji just stared at him
"…" Doma was still pointing at him
"You gotta be kidding me…" Hakuji replied
"No, really! I mean it! You would-" Doma was explaining, but was cut off
"Get lost. I don't want to work for anyone… and especially not with you." Hakuji replied
"But…" Doma said with a sad voice
While the two were talking, Koyuki returned.
"I am back!" she said
"Great! We just finished talking! Let's go!" Hakuji said and grabbed Koyuki´s hand
"Oh… ok. See you later, Doma!" Koyuki said with a smile as she waved at him
"Yes… See you later! Goodbye Koyuki! Goodbye Akaza!" he said with a smile
"DON'T CALL-whatever, let's go." Hakuji replied and walked away with Koyuki
After the two left, Doma sat down and though about what to do next.
"Hmm… what do I do? I promised mister Muzan to find him a new employee…" he thought while making a sad face
"…"
"…"
"Oh well! Time for me to be a fortune-teller again!" he said with a big smile as he thought about all the money he was about to make

"What did he want to talk about?" Koyuki asked
"Oh nothing… he just wanted me to work with him or something..." Hakuji replied
"Ah… ok." Koyuki replied
"Hey, let's not talk about him! Let's talk about the donuts!"" Hakuji said with a smile
"Sure! You will love them! I heard that they sell all kinds of flavors!" Koyuki replied
"Really? Then I am looking forward to it! I am in the mood for something sweet right now!" Hakuji replied with a smile

"I am sorry! We are sold out! We just sold the last donuts a minute ago!" Nezuko explained with an awkward smile
"Oh no! Well, let's come again another time, what do you say Hakuji?" Koyuki asked
"…that bastard will pay for this…" Hakuji murmured to himself, as he thought about Doma
