The sun prickled Remus' skin.
He was laying on the lawn, under a tree, and it was so peaceful. The warmth grazing his face and limbs, the scent of early summer in the air, the grass he was laying on tickling him faintly.
They'd just written their last O.W.L. There was nothing he would have to do for the rest of the school year. Just... bliss.
It was quiet, not including the birds chirping.
James had been unrecognizably silent .He wasn't even playing with the snitch now.It was quiet. Until-
"Moony."
Remus grimaced, not opening his eyes. "What do you want?"
"Look at me."
Remus huffed but obediently opened his eyes. And he was met with Sirius' black locks hanging right above his face.
He scrambled up, his eyes now wide open. Sirius was laying on his back on one of the branches of the tree, his head hanging back, grinning up at Remus. His face, which was becoming redder and redder with every second, was almost exactly on the same level as Remus'.
The shock washed over Remus almost just as fast as it came and he arched an eyebrow.
"What are you doing?" he asked.
Sirius grinned even wider. "It's cool."
"You'll fall."
Sirius frowned. "No, I won't."
Remus leaned in, his nose brushing against Sirius' chin. "Yes, you will," he said, his lips mere millimetres away from Sirius'.
Sirius' mouth formed a small o, his breath catching in his throat. A smirk pulled on Remus' lips.
He took Sirius' head in his hands, placing them on his ears and closed the gap between them, kissing Sirius deeply. Sirius smiled into the kiss, relaxing under Remus' touch.
The sun still prickled his skin, and tasting Sirius' sweet lips, their bodies so close, Remus thought for a second that maybe this was perfection. But then he realized that he could barely breathe, his mouth covered with Sirius' and his nose blocked by his chin..
He chose to ignore it.
At least for a little while.
"Oi, you two, get a room!"
Remus parted from Sirius, their faces still close, and glanced at James who was staring at them, smiling cheekily. With a deadpan face, Remus let go of Sirius' head with one hand, giving James the finger.
And then, Sirius let out a yelp and rushed down, falling from the tree. Remus jumped back, his heartbeat quickening.
When he took a good look at Sirius, he burst out laughing.
His legs were still tangled in the tree branches. It was hard to tell whether he was supporting himself by his back, his head, or his uncomfortably twisted arms. His hair was a mess, a dark tangle in the grass. His face pulled into a grimace.
"Why are you laughing?" he exclaimed at Remus, which made him laugh even harder. "I could've broken my spine! What would you do then?"
When Remus still didn't stop laughing. Sirius let out a huff and let go, his body slumping down so that he was laying on his back. His legs were still towering in the tree, his hips raised.
He was stuck.
He glanced at Remus, who was still grinning. "Will you help me?"
"Oh no, sorry, love," Remus said, leaning down and kissing Sirius' nose. Then he rolled onto his back again to lay in the sun next to him. "You got yourself stuck, you're getting yourself unstuck.
Sirius glanced at the other two desperately.
"Prongs?"
"You're on your own, mate."
"Wormy?"
"Yeah, no, you're very far away, and I just don't feel like getting up."
"Oh, for Merlin's sake-" .
