Chapter 16
"What's going on here?" Greg asked Sandie.
"Um," Sandie started, "This is Detective Nichols, he was just following up on my, um, probation."
Sandie was flushed as she looked from Greg to Zack. Zack finished buttoning his shirt and they both knew that Greg wasn't going to buy her story. Greg looked angry, he knew what they were up to, he knew Sandie wasn't a one man woman despite being engaged.
"I have to go now," Zack said as he headed out the door.
"Thanks for stopping by," Sandie called him as he left.
"What the hell?" Greg started, "Can't you keep your fucking legs closed for once?"
"You should know me by now," Sandie told him. "Does it really matter since you're the one I'm marrying and I always come home to you anyway?"
"What bothers me is that it's in our apartment."
Greg walked past her and headed to the kitchen for a drink. Sandie walked up behind him and put her arms around him and kissed his neck.
"Baby, you know I love you and that we'll always be together no matter what."
Greg shrugged her off, he was hurt. He knew about her past and knew that no one could ever tame her but here in the apartment? He was disgusted that he even caught her. He downed his drink, pushed past Sandie and headed towards the door.
"Where are you going?" Sandie asked him.
"Out," was all he said and he left, slamming the door behind him.
Sandie knew he was upset and she could care less about her parole or that her and Greg were engaged, she had to get out as well. She went to the closet and threw her things in her bag, leaving the apartment behind her. She didn't know where she was going and she didn't care. She thought about going to stay with James but changed her mind. She had some cash so maybe she'd get a hotel room. Either way, it would give Greg a chance to calm down.
Greg had drunk himself into a stupor at the bar and was in no shape to drive home so he called the apartment hoping Sandie would answer. He didn't know why he was even bothering to call her when she fucked up right in front of him. There was no answer at the apartment, he tried her cell, still no answer, so he called James.
Sandie heard her cell phone ring and saw that it was Greg calling but she didn't feel like talking to him so she let it go to voicemail. She found a hotel room and tossed her bag onto the bed, she undressed and stepped into the shower.
James showed up at the bar after hearing how Greg was too drunk to drive home and something about Sandie with another man, he couldn't quite make out what he was saying but told him he'd be over anyway.
James saw Greg sitting at the bar, who knows how many drinks he had, looked like quite a bit. He knew Sandie and Greg would fight but it's never gotten this out of hand. What difference did it make if Sandie was fooling around with other men, Greg knew what she was like. He still proposed to her anyway. He sat down beside him and ordered himself a drink, non-alcoholic of course.
"So what's going on?" James asked Greg.
"I came home to find Sandie with another guy, then she had the nerve to lie to me."
"So what?" James said, "You know what she's like, what's the big deal this time?"
"The big deal is, they fucked right there in my apartment, in our apartment!"
Greg was furious now, he slammed his fist down on the counter spilling his drink.
"How could she do this?"
"Calm down," James told him. "Maybe you should forget about the wedding and just let her go, you're never going to be able to tame her. No one can, in fact, I wish I could."
After that last sentence, James regretted saying it out loud. He was crazy in love with Sandie but to her, he was only a booty call. In fact, he was beginning to think that all men were just toys to her. She claims to be in love with Greg but she's always out with someone else. How can you be in love with one person while screwing another? It didn't make any sense to him but he didn't try to analyze it either. Sandie was who she was and no one was going to change her.
"Come on, let's get you home," James said to Greg as he helped him up and out to the car.
When they arrived at the apartment, Sandie wasn't there, it was dark and quiet. They thought she might be asleep but there was no one in the bedroom, Greg was about to call her cell but ended up passing out on the couch instead. James left him and headed home.
By the time he arrived at his own apartment, it was late. He checked the clock and saw that it was almost one in the morning. He needed to get some sleep since he had to be up early for work the next morning. He was just about to crawl into bed when he heard his cell phone ring, looking at the caller ID, he saw that it was Sandie.
"Sandie, where are you?" He asked. It was hard to hear her over the loud music and people screaming in the background.
"James, I'm out having fun. Did I wake you?" She screamed into the receiver.
She sounded drunk and he was hoping he didn't have to go and pick her up either.
"No, you didn't wake me," he told her. "Where are you?"
"I don't know where I am and I don't care," she answered.
James heard a man's voice say something to Sandie and before he could say anything else, the line went dead. She had hung up. Now he was going to have trouble sleeping because he was going to be up all night worrying about her. Why does she always have to get herself into trouble? He sighed then laid down on the bed to try to fall asleep.
The next morning, Sandie awoke in her hotel room, her head was pounding and there were clothes everywhere. She couldn't remember what happened or how she got back to the hotel. She was naked and covered in what appeared to be chocolate syrup and whipped cream. What the hell happened last night? She wondered. Just then a man walked out of the bathroom, he was naked and dripping wet. The stranger must've been using her shower but why if he was here, the water was still running?
Just as the man sat down on the bed next to Sandie, the shower turned off and out walked a woman, she was naked as well and dripping wet. Sandie stared at her, she was gorgeous! She had perfectly round, perky breasts, flat abs and legs to die for. Sandie thought she looked a lot like herself, only this woman had blonde hair instead of dark hair.
This man that sat next to her was very well built. You could tell he worked out, his cock was very large and Sandie wondered what it looked like when it was hard. She really couldn't remember anything that happened that night but whatever it was, it must've been wild.
Her thoughts were interrupted when the woman asked Sandie if she wanted to use the shower. Sandie didn't realize how messy she was until she tried to move. There was chocolate and whipped cream in her hair and her body was sticky with cum. She got up and headed to the bathroom, she turned on the water and let it run down her body. After managing to get herself clean, she stepped out of the shower and that's when she noticed the pill bottles on the sink.
The drugs she had taken from the pharmacy at the hospital, no wonder she couldn't remember anything, those were some strong drugs. The man and woman had left by the time Sandie got out of the bathroom. She then noticed all the empty alcohol bottles lying around. She started to pick up when her cell phone rang. She looked around the room trying to find where the ringing was coming from, she finally found her phone buried in the sheets of the bed.
"Hello?" She asked when she answered it. She didn't bother to check the caller ID.
"Sandie?" It was James. "Where are you? Are you alright?"
"James, darling. I'm fine. Why do you ask?"
"You called me last night and you sounded wasted, plus there was a lot of noise."
"Oh, I went out clubbing. I must've drunk dialed you," Sandie told him with a laugh. "I hope I didn't worry you too much."
"Actually I didn't get much sleep because I was worrying about you all night. I heard a man's voice and then you hung up."
"Oh that," Sandie really didn't want to explain to James about her wild night since she couldn't remember much of it. "Like I said, I was drunk and just screwing around. Nothing to be concerned about."
"Where are you anyway?" James asked her. "You're not with Greg and I heard about what happened."
"I'm staying at a hotel until he cools off. I don't think this whole marriage thing is going to work out. I love him but…." Sandie's voice trailed off, she didn't know what else to say.
"Greg was pretty wasted last night," James told her, "He was pretty upset over what happened. Why did you have to go and do something so stupid? You know he loves you. Why can't you just give yourself to him and stay away from others?"
James knew what he was saying was kind of stupid since he was basically telling her not to screw around with him either but this was his friend they were talking about. He didn't want to see Greg miserable.
"James, that is none of your business," Sandie told him. "What I do with my body is my own decision. Besides, do you really want me to stop screwing around with you as well?"
The two of them argued back and forth for a good half hour until James got a page and had to hang up. Sandie hung up her cell and finished picking up the bottles. She was tired of being a "good girl" and decided she didn't really want to commit to anyone. Things were going so well with her and Greg until he proposed. Why on earth would he want to marry a girl like her anyway? Yea, the sex was great but that was about it between them and sure she was crazy in love with him but she just couldn't see herself settling down with him or anyone. She didn't even know why she said yes to him in the first place. Perhaps it was because she didn't want him to be with anyone else.
Sandie decided to go over to the hospital to try and work things out with Greg. She didn't understand why he was so upset, he knew that she was pretty much a nymphomaniac. She loved sex, with anyone at anytime, any place. She didn't know why she craved it so much, maybe it was because of her past. It was something she could do knowing that her goody two shoes sister couldn't because it would ruin her reputation. Maybe she did it to get back at her parents, either way, she didn't care, it was who she was.
On her way into the hospital, she saw her darling sister, Lisa waiting by the elevators. Sandie wanted to avoid her, so she took the stairs up to James's office. She knocked on the door and he told her to come in. He looked surprised to see her or maybe it was the outfit she was wearing. His mouth dropped to the floor, he didn't know why he was so surprised to see her wearing something so sexy, it's what she normally wore. Sandie had on the tightest dress he had ever seen. A little, white tube dress that hugged her every curve and heels that made her legs say, "look at me!" Her long, dark hair tumbled down her shoulders, spilling into her cleavage and bright, red lips that he wanted to kiss and let's not forget the perfume. He could smell it all the way over to where he sat. He wasn't sure what it was but it was ssexy and he just couldn't help himself from getting aroused. He didn't want to stand up because he had already become extremely hard and he didn't want her to see him like that.
Sandie closed the door behind her and walked over to him, then kissed him on the lips. James almost exploded from the taste of her kiss and the fact that he could see down her dress, her soft, subtle breasts drawing him near. He couldn't help himself, he stood up, grabbed her and pulled her towards him. She gasped as he pushed his face into her breasts. He pulled down her top and immediately went to work sucking on her nipples. Sandie moaned as her hands made her way down his body to his pants. She unzipped him, releasing his aching hard on. James pushed her dress up and took off her panties, he sat her up on the desk and entered her. He made love to her, kissing her neck and she ran her fingers through his hair. It didn't take him long before he finished, since it's been a while since he had been with her. He held her for a moment before releasing her. He straightened himself up as did Sandie.
They both just finished touching up when the door opened and in walked Greg. He shouldn't have been surprised that they were both there but he was. He was beginning to think he made a mistake proposing to Sandie but he wanted her to himself and no one else. He was fuming now.
"What the hell?" He yelled. "Why the fuck do I always catch you with someone else?"
He grabbed her but the arm and pulled her out into the hall. He didn't stop there though, he dragged her all the way into his office where he locked the door behind him and threw her up against the wall.
"What are you doing here?" Greg asked her.
"Well I was going to talk to you about what happened the other night," Sandie started.
"Then why the fuck were in James's office?" He asked her. He was not too happy that he had caught his fiancée with his best friend. "You know what, forget it. I don't want to know anymore. Just get out!"
Greg unlocked the door and pushed Sandie out. She was sorry that she had gone to see James first but she couldn't help herself. She left the hospital, went to the apartment and packed up the last of her things. Engaged or not, she wasn't going to stay with him anymore. Maybe they could talk more when he calmed down, if he calmed down.
Greg went home to an empty apartment that night. He wished he hadn't thrown Sandie out like he did but she needed to learn a lesson if they were going to make this engagement work. He was tired of sharing her with everyone else. He tried to call her but she wouldn't take his calls, he didn't blame her, he was a jerk to her. Maybe James was right, maybe they weren't meant to be together except for sexual favors. It seems that that was all it was, this entire relationship. Did he really mean anything to her? He was moping about the apartment and drinking when there was a knock at the door.
He opened it to find Lisa standing there.
"What are you doing here?" He asked her.
"I wanted to make sure you were okay. I happened to see you throw my sister out of your office earlier. Is everything okay?"
Greg thought that was stupid question to ask. No, everything was not okay. His fiancée was screwing around on him and now he didn't even know where she was. Without thinking, Greg grabbed Lisa and kissed her on the lips. She didn't hesitate to kiss him back. She always had a thing for him and was secretly glad that him and Sandie were fighting. Before too long, Greg and Lisa were in the bedroom. Greg was drunk but he still needed to get his rocks off and if Sandie could fuck around, so can he. He was tired of playing games with her.
Sandie sat in the hotel room listening to her several voicemails that Greg left her, most of them apologizing for throwing her out. She erased them all. She knew it was over between them even though she didn't want it to be. It was her fault but she couldn't help it, perhaps if Greg didn't work so much, they'd have more time together. What she couldn't understand is why she kept going to James first if she was in love with Greg. Could she actually be in love with James and not Greg? Afterall, she did tell him that she loved him once before.
Sandie wanted to go over and talk to Greg, if he was sorry about what happened, then perhaps they could make things work after all. Sandie was sorry she had even gone back over there in the first place when she saw what she did.
She walked into the apartment to find Greg and Lisa in bed together. She was somewhat glad that she didn't actually catch them fucking or else she would've been sick right there. She walked out only to have Greg follow her, he grabbed her arm to stop her from leaving.
Out in the hall, Sandie broke down. She was confused and didn't understand these feelings. Why could she have sex with other men but would get angry when Greg had sex with other women? Were the two of them really meant to be together? Sandie was more furious over the fact that she caught him with her own sister, the stupid bitch that always wanted him. Lisa never wanted Sandie to have him, she wanted him to herself. Greedy bitch, Sandie thought to herself. Thoughts and feelings were racing through her mind that she forgot that Greg was standing there next to her. He was holding her while she cried.
Sandie suddenly stopped crying and pushed away from him.
"How could you?" She asked.
"Now you know how it feels," Greg retorted.
Sandie was shocked, she slapped him hard across the face, turned and ran out of the building. Greg went back into the apartment to find Lisa waiting for him.
"Is everything okay?" She asked. She knew it wasn't and she was secretly glad. Once she got rid of her whore sister, he would be all hers.
Sandie found herself outside James's apartment. She still couldn't believe what she saw, she had to get even. She knocked on the door and he answered. He didn't say anything when he saw the tears in her eyes, he pulled her towards him and held her tight.
They didn't talk much as they sat on the couch and James just held her. He knew that Sandie and Greg had been fighting; he just didn't know what it was about this time. He wasn't about to ask either, she would tell him in time. James didn't want to and he tried to resist but he kissed her. She kissed him back and before they knew it, they were in the bedroom making love. Afterwards, they lay wrapped in each other's arms. James watched her as she fell asleep. He quietly got up and left the room, he then dialed Greg's number and waited for him to answer.
"What the hell happened?" James asked him when he answered. "Sandie showed up at my place in tears.
"She got a taste of her own medicine," was all Greg said before he hung up.
The next morning, James decided to go into work late, he wanted to stay with Sandie for a while, she was in no condition to be left alone. Sandie awoke to the smell of bacon. She threw on her clothes and walked into the kitchen where James was making bacon and eggs. He didn't say anything to her but kissed her cheek and handed her a plate of food. Sandie was grateful for such a good friend that she was beginning to wonder if she had made a mistake when she chose Greg over James.
The two of them ate in silence. James couldn't take it anymore and he had to ask,
"What happened last night?"
Sandie didn't want to think about it but she couldn't hold it in any longer.
"I caught Greg with Lisa."
"You what?" James was both shocked and disgusted.
"I went over there to talk to him and found that the two of them had…."
Her voice trailed off, she couldn't bring herself to finish that sentence but James knew. They finished their breakfast and he told her that he had to go to work but she could stay there as long as she wanted.
Sandie wanted to take him up on his offer but she had some things to do. She went back to the hotel to shower and change then headed to the hospital to confront her sister and Greg.
She wasted no time in storming into her sister's office. She slammed the door behind her and locked it. She pulled a small handgun from her purse and aimed it at Lisa.
"What the hell are you doing?" Lisa asked her.
"I should shoot you right here and now," Sandie told her. "You ruined my life!"
"You shoot me, you'll go back to jail," Lisa told her, "And it serves you right for being such a slut."
"You're the slut!" Sandie screamed at her, "You fucked my fiancé! You never could leave well enough alone!"
"Sandie put the gun down and we can talk about this."
"There's nothing to talk about. I hate you and you deserve to die!"
Lisa was grateful that she had that silent alarm installed in her office. She pressed the button under her desk and it wasn't long before security was pounding on the door.
"Tell them to leave," Sandie demanded.
"Give it up, Sandie," Lisa said, "It's over for you. I never should've bailed you out of prison and given you a chance. You're crazy."
"I'm crazy?" Sandie asked her, "I'm crazy? I'm not the one sleeping around with other people's fiancés!"
Lisa was about to reply when security broke into the office. Greg was right behind them along with James.
"Sandie put the gun down," James told her. He managed to get security to back off so he and Greg could talk with Sandie.
Security backed out but stayed outside the door just in case. With James and Greg in the office, they both tried to convince Sandie to put down the gun but she wasn't about to give up so easily. With the gun still pointed at her sister, she said,
"Greg, darling. How could you do this to me? After everything we've been through."
"You had it coming," he told her, "you slept around on me first."
"You knew how it was," Sandie said, the gun now pointed at him.
"Then why is it such a big deal then?" Greg asked her. "Can't we work something out?"
"I'm sorry, Greg. It's over. I probably wouldn't have cared that you fucked around on me, but with my own sister? How could you?"
Sandie handed the gun to James who immediately turned it over to security. She then took off her engagement ring and placed it on Lisa's desk.
"Goodbye, Greg."
And she walked out the door, escorted by security.
