Chapter 12 The sports festival begins
It has been two weeks since the announcement of the sports festival. During this time, all the students have trained for the day, including Izuku and his friends. He was able to get used to his other abilities and Tsuyu has also continued to test her new powers. The festival starts today.
The villains' attack will test all the guests, including the reporters, who find it troublesome, but also an opportunity for them to see the 1-A. Usually the third years are in the foreground, but today that class shines with the surviving villain attack, All Might's announcement and the son of Endeavor, the number 2 hero below the class.
Heroes have also been hired for security. Also among the heroes are those who were present in the mud villain incident: Mt. Lady, who cannot help due to her size, Kamui Woods, and Death Arms, who were defeated by the mud villain who possessed Katsuki. The three march through the stalls and Mt. Lady has snagged free food with her beauty, which the two stand with questioning heads, wondering if she's even proud.
The sports festival takes place in three different locations, one for each year group, which is a huge stadium for the first year. The 1-A are waiting in a separate room. Of course boys and girls are separated. For the sake of fairness, all students must compete in athletic gear, which means for the hero class, they are not allowed to use their costumes.
While waiting, Shoto talks to Izuku. "If you look at it soberly, we are equal. Besides, All Might has some interest in you. I won't question you further, but I will defeat you."
Denki is thrilled by the announcement while Eijirou tries to reason with him, but he replies, "I'm not here to make friends, so it doesn't matter."
Izuku responds to his announcement, "If that's a challenge, I'll take it. Including Kat-chan, the three of us are the strongest in the class. Nobody can reach us. However, everyone wants to get to the top and will give everything. That's why I won't hold back, especially against the two of you. I'll do anything to be number 1." Shoto and Katsuki hear the announcement and look seriously at Izuku.
The sports festival annotates Present Mic along with the mummy Aizawa. "I ask everyone for their attention, including the media. The youth of the students will be through the roof because the sports festival begins."
A few minutes earlier, Inko Midoriya is sitting in front of the TV to watch the sports festival. Da rings the doorbell and she reluctantly gets off the couch to open the door. Thinking it's a rep, she hastily replies, "I'm not buying, so they're leaving."
"Since when do I want to sell something to my family? That would be mean of me." replies a young, attractive man, with a smart green suit and well built body in front of the door and Inko realizes who he is. It's Hisashi Midoriya, her husband.
"Darling, I should have expected you earlier?" she asks happily.
"Sorry. There is a lot going on in traffic because of the sports festival. I'm not late, am I?" asks the concerned Hisashi Midoriya.
Inko lets him in and replies, "Just barely. They'll start right away with the opening." She sits down on the couch with her husband and watches the sports festival. You listen to Present Mic's announcement.
"The Sports Festival is an annual event where the hero students demonstrate their ability. Star students first, they survived the villain attack and are commended by All Might: Superhero Division Class 1A."
The 1A enters the stadium. Some are so nervous that they move their arms and legs at the same time. Others have cramps like Eijirou with his hardening or their hands are sweating like Katsuki with his hands exploding. Some are just worried, like Ochako and Kyouka. "This experience will help us later as professionals." explains Tenya.
"Next up is the class that also has a lot of talent, although they don't impress: 1B of the hero department. It continues with the C, D and E from the general department. There are also F, G, and H from the support department. Lastly, I, J, and K from the manager department. All 1 grades are hereby gathered." Some are not satisfied with supporting roles.
"Normally the adult Midnight would be officiating this, but with All Might having been so full of praise for this vintage, the referee will be his nephew Tenko Shimura." This surprises Izuku. Tenko is actually standing on the stage with a stunned expression on his face.
'How did I get into this?' Tenko thinks, remembering his appointment.
*2 weeks before 1 day after the announcement of the festival*
All Might and Tenko sit in their usual meeting place. Tenko plays with his game console while All Might looks at his notepad and thinks feverishly. The curious nephew asks his uncle if there is a problem.
"The director thinks that with the sports festival we should show what the world of professionals is like and I want to contribute to that too, but I couldn't think of an idea." says All Might while rubbing his head with the pen.
"You're not the thinking type, so you can't come up with ideas. I could think of more, but I'm not a role model, I have no knowledge of the festival and I'm just the assistant here." explains Tenko.
"If you have any ideas, I can recommend you and will now tell you about the festival." says All Might and describes everything about the sports festival. Tenko listens carefully and has a few ideas ready for the first discipline. All Might presents the ideas to the director and he is enthusiastic.
The next day, All Might tells Tenko that he has been appointed to referee the Year 1 Sports Festival. "Why am I the referee? I'm just a teacher's assistant and a lousy hero role model." Tenko tries to turn down the position
"And yet you were able to bring great ideas with you. You would be a great hero if you wanted to. Besides, you're my nephew and people want to know more about you. Just join us." explains All Might with a straight face, which is now smiling. "You can even act on my behalf if you want to, even if that means badmouthing me again. Hahaha" Tenko laughed at that. It might at least be fun to judge.
Back to the present
Many are happy to hear All Might's nice nephew and what he is like. 'I wanted to get rid of the symbol of peace and now thanks to this symbol I get a lot of fans. What an irony. If I'm already here, I should have fun', thinks Tenko, who is now smiling.
"At the beginning of the sports festival, the first place in the entrance exam will give a speech: the great Izuku Midoriya." Izuku blushes embarrassingly at the announcement and goes upstairs. "He won the most points in both rogue and save points and even broke All Might's record." Tenko brags about his brother Izuku.
The audience talks a lot about Izuku and cheers for him. Izuku listens to all the praise from the audience as he takes the stage. As Izuku stands in front of the mic and looks at the crowd, many things come to mind and he wants to say what comes from the heart. But before that, he asks Tenko via telepathy, "(May I reveal about the origin and true nature of my Quirk and yours.)"
"(I've already revealed almost everything about me, go ahead as long as you portray Tenko and Tomura as two people and keep One for All out of it as it's All Might's secret too.)"
Izuku nods to Tenko and begins his speech.
"Dear viewers, heroes, companies, teachers and other people with different motives for being here, while I was walking up here I overheard all your conversations about me and I've noticed many other things over the past few days. Most have called me the All Might Savior, some have remembered the mud villain and how I cornered him, where almost all of the heroes present were a no chance , and my classmates commend me for my performance on the tests."
Most are stunned by what he has heard and what he has achieved.
"All these praises about me have compelled me to tell you something that very few know. My Quirk was really just a memory revealer and Quirk developer. It couldn't learn skills like 'attraction and repulsion'. I couldn't become a hero with that."
Almost everyone is shocked and cannot believe what they are hearing. The boy who displayed such impressive skills said he could never have achieved them.
"You are wondering how I was able to achieve such skills, I have to thank my brother Tenko Shimura. We are not related and yet we look at each other as brothers. But that wasn't always the case. We really hated each other in the beginning because we had different opinions about the heroes. While the details are classified, you should know that Tenko used to suffer from trauma and when I found out about it, I wanted to help him. From that point on I didn't care that I couldn't become a pro hero, if I can help him with my quirk it makes me happy. If you think about it, you don't need an overwhelming power to help people. Everyone can be a hero in their own way. Do you see it the same way?"
That made most people think. It brought hope to viewers who couldn't become heroes. No matter what talent or quirk you have, it can help people in its own way.
"I was able to help my brother and even develop his quirk. In gratitude, he wants to help me be a strong hero by giving me part of his quirk and developing abnormal training routines for me, which allowed me to achieve such feats. If I had never met my brother or helped him, I could not be on this stage."
With this speech, Izuku remembers the villain incident and has to confess something.
"You tout me as the All Might Savior, but Tomura mentioned during the fight that he owed his unique evolution to a human, and that human is me." Almost everyone is shocked again.
"That was when I was a kid. Tenko wanted me to help his brother who is also suffering from the same trauma and as a bonus I evolved his Quirk. I didn't know until the incident that this development was so violent. When I saw Tomura's power, I was scared and blamed myself for creating this monster." Izuku tells it with a sad face. The audience is speechless and Tenko looks at his brother with a straight face.
"I never wanted to use the development again, but Kat-chan said, 'If you want to go up, it doesn't matter what comes your way.' If you want to climb to the top, don't let yourself be stopped. No matter what, even if you've done something that has you bedridden with guilt, don't let it stop you from continuing. A true hero does what he thinks is right and never gives up." This announcement has sat. The students have become really motivated and are cheering on Izuku.
"That's why I'm standing, no, we're standing on stage to get to the top and we're going to do everything we can to do that. We're going to be the next generation, surpassing even All Might." he calls out with his fist and everyone present, even the students, are now really cheering.
Izuku leaves the stage and Tenko continues with the sports festival. "Thanks for the great announcement. Then we start with the first round. ' Various choices will scroll down the screen, much like slot machines at casinos.
"The first discipline is..." the slot machine stops and displays "...the obstacle course." Part of the stadium wall is open. "You will run a four kilometer run around the stadium. The Juuei values freedom, so you can do anything as long as you don't lose your way. Most obstacles will give you demerits that showcase your misdeeds. So watch out, otherwise you'll be disqualified, even though you're far ahead. The exception is the first place, where no matter how many negative points you have, you definitely stay in it. The students take their positions. Everyone is preparing for the event and what they want to achieve. The lamps go out one by one and when the last lamp is out, the start begins. Izuku has gotten faster through his training and runs through the gate before he's gorged on students. Shoto and Tsuyu are out before that happens too. Shoto exacerbates this when he freezes the rear students' feet. However, one should not underestimate the hero students. Most managed to escape his trap.
Shinso is worn by students and looks at everything. "The heroes have their quirks well under control."
Mineta was about to throw his sticky balls at Shoto when suddenly he couldn't pull his balls out and was hit by a metal foot. The others couldn't use their quirks anymore either.
Present Mic has the process in mind and explains it. "The students have encountered their first obstacle: the evil Robo-Teachers." In front of the students are several Bareback Robo-Aizawa and Robo Vlad King. The original Aizawa doesn't like his doubles at all and glares at his friend to. "explain what that is?" he asks angrily.
"That was Tenko's idea. These are simulated battle droids with artificial intelligence. Tenko upgraded the robots with his Quirk so that she can also use the Quirks of the originals. In addition, they can withstand more than the originals and if you destroy them, you get minus points. Tenko said that if you want to be a great hero, you have to fight your demons, and strict teachers are part of that." All Might hears this and can sympathize with its students. "Also, heroes are meant to save lives, not end them. This also applies to villains. Also, your Quirk is perfect for creating a situation where you can't use your Quirk."
Most of the students are afraid to compete against the evil teachers. Also, Aizawa prevents them from using their quirks. But Izuku dodges every attack and easily manages the first discipline. Tsuyu and the others with fit bodies also have few problems. The rest have to fight to escape the robots without using their quirks. When Izuku is out of range, he runs at full throttle again. The viewers are amazed at how fast he is and Tsuyu is fast too. Tenya has to make an effort to keep up.
The next obstacle is the high tightrope walk. Izuku faces a large chasm with many islands connected with ropes. Each island has showcases with easy-to-draw content. Izuku flies over the chasm but lands on one of the display cases with rare All Might items.
Present Mic explains, "There's a lot of enticing content in the showcases. If you take them you get 50 minus points because firstly it would be stealing and secondly a hero shouldn't let himself be seduced, but if you do you can of course keep them."
Izuku hears this and, with a heavy heart, tries to stay away from the articles. 'If people die because I bought rare items, I could never forgive myself.' The other students also tried with great difficulty to ignore the showcases, but some could not resist the temptation and grabbed some of the contents.
Among the students, a girl named Mei Hatsume appears with many gadgets on her body. The girl uses her babies to overcome the obstacle with ease. She doesn't have any problems with the Aizawas either, as she can only paralyze her Quirk and not her babies. Some students complain that they use gadgets even though they are forbidden.
Tenko explains: "It is forbidden to use the company's gadgets, but homemade items are allowed. The sports festival shows the achievements of the students and the manual skills are also part of it. The hero department has its training and the support department has its supports. So it's an opportunity for the support students to showcase their devices."
Tsuyu jumps from island to island and Bakugo flies over the islands with the explosions. Shoto runs over the ropes with his icing without falling off.
"Midoriya is showing great performances, but Bakugo, Asui and Todoroki are also great. The four put everything in the shade. Midoriya also has the power of All Might's nephew and Todoroki is the son of the flame hero Endeavor, the second strongest hero after All Might. The heroes will be fighting for four as a sidekick," reports Present Mic.
Aizawa also joins in: "It's clear that the three guys will reach the top, but Asui wasn't that strong in the tests and now she can show such high ability in a few weeks. That's strange."
The others have heard it and find it strange too. Tenko clears that up. "Izuku used his Quirk on Tsuyu during training, giving a new ability to himself and several level-ups to Tsuyu. He can do that with anyone." People are amazed that Izuku can take a human to such a level.
The last obstacle is the civilian parkour. In front of them are many human robots. "A hero must also move through a crowd to save someone. The crowd is getting fewer and fewer, because something like this doesn't last forever. You get 5 if you knock them off, 20 if they're damaged and 50 minus points if they're destroyed. If you're in a hurry, be careful not to hurt people or there could be repercussions."
Izuku and Bakugo just fly off over their heads while Tsuyu does a big long jump and leaps over their heads. Shoto skillfully runs through the crowd to the other side. The others need a while to get through there.
First is Izuku Midoriya, then Tsuyu Asui, followed by Katsuki Bakugo and lastly Shoto Todoroki.
All Might is happy and relieved. He had feared his heroic heart would be a problem in something where you push others away, where you fight for attention, but he was glad he had worried for nothing. Behind his back, the students from the management department discuss how to market Izuku and the other students. 'The student managers are as talkative as ever.'
The manager students don't get anything from the sports festival, so they stay out of it and discuss sales and marketing strategies.
Tsuyu goes to Izuku. "Congratulations on your first place, kero."
"The same goes for you. You were just as good as Shoto and Kat-chan." Katsuki is upset that he not only lost to Deku but also to Frog Girl.
"Thanks, but without your quirk I could never have accomplished something like this. I'm genuinely amazed at how far your quirk has gotten me." Then Katsuki pricked up his ears and got involved.
"That means without Deku you would never have defeated me, you frog girl. I will not accept that. I will finish you. That goes for you too, Deku." yells Kat-chan with a straight face and leaves again.
"You should be careful. Kat-chan has your sights set on you and will not underestimate you." warns Izuku.
"That bakugo is such a show-off and such a bad loser. As a hero you have more important things to do than flatter your pride, kero." says Tsuyu angrily.
"You're wrong, Tsuyu. If that was really just showing off, he'd have a big grin on his face, knowing him. But he hasn't. He just wants to put pressure on himself to get stronger." defends Izuku Kat-chan, surprising Tsuyu.
The others show up. Some have been disqualified upon arrival for having too many demerits, like Mineta, who snatched the porn while walking tightrope and also gets some hate looks from the girls.
Ochako emerges from the crowd and joins her friends. "You two really have it. I also wished to perform such mighty feats."
Then Tsuyu says directly: "You could have achieved that if you weren't ashamed of your body."
Then Ochako got angry: "I wasn't ashamed of my body. It's embarrassing to show someone your naked body, but you can't understand that, nudist."
"Yes, I like being naked and if that makes me a nudist then so be it, but if you want to get far should you put up with embarrassment. That's how Izuku-chan and Bakugo explained it, kero, kero." Tsuyu says angrily, making Ochako flinch.
Izuku started to say something as Tenko continued.
"All 42 contestants without too much rascality passed and qualified for the 2nd round. For those who are out, don't worry. You get a second chance to shine. But now let's move on to the main act. The reporters will be keeping a closer eye on you now, so show what you've got. The next discipline is…" the screen spins the slot machine and stops at "...Cavalry."
"Doesn't that require teamwork?" Tsuyu asks.
"You will now form a team of 2 to 4 students. Grab your opponent's headbands and protect your own. Headband points are scored based on performance." explains Tenko.
"The scoring system was more understandable on admission." "Does that mean every team is worth different?" The students chatter, catching a glare from Tenko and becoming silent.
"Each student has their own points and is added up as a team. The points are calculated based on the position and your minus points. If someone has too many negative points, you would be a villain, you will be automatically disqualified and the points go to the next one. This should show you that wrongdoing has real consequences, even if they are well intentioned. The 42 starts with 5 points and adds 5 points with each increase. It always goes as far as second place. We value the first place as All Might. That means he has 10 million points." Tenko smiles evilly. "That means the great Izuku against all the students of the year. It's going to be a show."
This shocks Izuku, and he gets sharp looks from his classmates that are completely different from what he saw in middle school. Izuku knows what it means to be on top.
"You have every 15 minutes to form your teams. After that, your rider will wear the browband with the dots and put them on the forehead. You may wear as many headbands as you can during combat. They may only be placed from the neck to the forehead of the rider. By the way, they are easy to remove. Death Arm smokes and explains: "The sports festival is not intended to show students what they can do, but to prepare them for the tough life of a professional. You fight to get attention. The first round shows that sometimes you have to push others away to look good and the negative points should show that there can be consequences for missteps."
Mount Lady gets the smoke and holds her nose. "I'm reluctant to do that." she says, getting a glare from Wood Kamui. "I remember when we first met you enjoyed pushing me away."
Death Arm explains further. "On the other hand, you often have to work with your rivals to avoid a catastrophe."
Mount Lady understands. "Hence the cavalry fight. You have to recognize your strengths and achieve a common victory. So everything that the heroes are all about. This is part of everyday life for professional heroes, but the chicks have to get used to it first."
At the stadium, many students want Bakugo on the team because of his achievements, but since he only fights for himself, he has no idea what his classmates are capable of. Below that, Eijirou announces: "Let's form a team. You will be the rider anyway. Who better than someone who can take your blasts."
"Someone with guts in their bones." Katsuki describes him.
"True, but that's not what I mean. I can harden You can't knock me over that easily. We're going to finish Izuku." he replies with a grin, which Katsuki likes.
The others also form teams. Izuku looks at the others and notices Tsuyu and Ochako with him. "What are you doing here? You should form a team with the others."
Tsuyu and Ochako look at each other and Ochako has the floor. "We once talked about forming a team of heroes with you and standing by your side all the time. That's why we will always be by your side, no matter what path you decide to take."
Then Izuku howls that he has found such loyal friends. "If we have Tenya on the team we would have great chances to defend the points and that would make our team of heroes perfect kero." Tsuyu explains, where Izuku disagrees: "It's possible, but I doubt that he wants to form a team with us. He's still done with the villain thing, and besides…" he points to Shoto's team "…he's already teamed up with someone. He doesn't want to feel inferior anymore, that's why he competes against me. We have to respect that."
As they consider whether they can still take, the girl from the support department interferes. "You are just right for me. I want to join your team. I'm Mei Hatsume from the support department. I will take advantage of your position."
"She's pretty direct." says Ochako to Tsuyu.
"Yeah, she doesn't seem to have common sense, kero." says Tsuyu.
"You could say that about you. You can also be very direct." says Ochako, laughing.
"I don't disagree. I just say what I think and I also know that it annoys most people, kero, kero." Tsuyu replies, also laughing.
Mei keeps talking. "With you on the team, I will get more attention, which in turn shows my little baby well. I want a big company to notice me and want my babies."
The girls have no idea, but Izuku does. He often listened to his father talk about business and he often explained some things about the business world to his son.
"Of course there will be something for you too. Every day at the support department, we develop gear that will make heroes easier for you. I bet there's something underneath my baby you can use, too." She shows off her babies and retrieves a jetpack from underneath. "That's my favourite. He's modeled after a certain hero. With a few adjustments, of course."
Izuku immediately recognizes which hero she means and becomes a nerd. "Do you mean Air Jet from Buster Hero. He's cool and works in my neighborhood." The two chat about some heroes and their equipment.
"The two get along great, kero." recognizes Tsuyu.
"She has recreated her inventions based on the heroes, which is a draw for fan-deku." explains Ochako.
"So we have a solid team. I've come up with a few ideas for how we can win while also giving these babies more attention."
Shoto discusses the strategy consisting of Momo, Tenya and Denki with his team. "I chose you guys because I think you can form the best formation. Denki, you take over the left one and keep the enemies away with your electricity. Momo, you protect us from the electricity on the right with an insulator and create things that increase our defense and mobility and Tenya, you will be our engine and our defense on the front lines."
Tenya understands his strategy and moves on. "And you will use fire and ice to distract opponents."
"No," he looks at his father, "I will not use my fire in battle."
Shinso from the general class is approached by a blond boy. "Are you the boy who Class 1A declare war?"
Shinso is suspicious and replies: "It's possible. How do you even know that? I didn't see you in the crowd back then."
The blond laughs: "You took a good look. I heard that from Tetsutetsu. My name is Neito Monoma from 1B. Like you, I want to beat 1A. They are portrayed as the main protagonist and they also pride themselves on it. I would like to throw her off her high horse and since you intend to do the same, I want to form a team with you."
Shinso understands. "According to the motto: the enemy of my enemy is my friend. I don't mind, but I will get the points. I want to advance to the hero class and I have to perform to do so. You're already in and you still have a chance to shine."
The blond smiles "Deal. If the 1 A are defeated, everything is fine with me. I got my friends to join me and I have a plan. Together we will beat them."
Shinso now also has a smile and looks forward to the help.
"The 15 minutes are up. Is everyone ready?" calls Present Mic. Aizawa is awake watching the teams. "That looks interesting," he comments.
Bakugo teamed up with Eijirou, Mina, and Hanta with 640 points. Shoto has scored 580 points with his team and Izuku has over 10 million points.
"The countdown to the Battle Royal has started. 3"
"Are you ready?" Izuku asks his team, who nod. He is equipped with a jetpack, metal boots with jets, and a metal gauntlet similar to his bracers. He wanted his dominating hand free to use Ochako's ability.

"We don't blame each other, okay, Tetsutetsu?" Neito asks him, who replies, "Sure."

"Begin."
'Namely the 10 million.' The teams think and run towards Izuku.
When one almost gets him, Izuku suddenly disappears and floats somewhere else in the stadium. He slowly flies upwards as he is attacked by Kyouka's pegs. He seemed disinterested and the plugs were blocked by Tsuyu's tongue.
Bakugo shoots into the sky with his blast, but is hit midway through her zoom eye by Mei's blunt rubber bullet, which comes out of her homemade pistol. The pain makes him fall back and he has to be caught by Hanta's bands.
The floating Izuku announces. "If you want first place, come here. But be warned, I'll be protected by my comrades and even if you get close to me, I'm not an easy opponent." His gaze is like that of a professional, which intimidates many.
*As Izuku discusses strategy with his team.*
"You want to challenge the teams?!" Ochako asks in shock.
"Yes!", says Izuku.
"Isn't that crazy? There are easier ways to win." says Ochako.
"You're right. I could also fly so high that no one can reach me and just have to wait until it's over. But that would be too easy. I want to prove myself." he answers with a determined look.
"Isn't that risky? Why don't we just take the safe route to victory, kero?" asks Tsuyu.
"Apparently you have forgotten the point of the sports festival." tells Mei.
"She is right. The main goal of this festival is to make an impression. Of course, if you keep winning, you'll get more attention, but with a challenge, you'll get a lot more attention. The more you show, the more people will notice you. That's why I'm going to introduce myself. This will make everyone try to get my points. You're going to back me up and Ochako, you're making me weightless and trying to hold on. Don't worry, as long as I'm weightless and you support me, I'm hard to get hold of."
"Okay Deku, it's risky, but we'll support you." Ochako announces with determination and the other two nod.

"He wants to challenge us. We accept that." speaks the invisible Toru.
Her comrade looks at her and notices something. "Where's our headband?"
She panics while Shinso runs off with the dots. 'Izuku will help carry out Monoma's plan more easily,' Shinso thinks while continuing to snag points.
Bakugo flies towards Izuku again. Mei is about to shoot him again when her pistol is hit by acid while Tsuyu is tied up with ribbons. "Do you really think we'll let you take Katsuki down a second time?" shouts Eijirou while his colleagues protect their leader.
Katsuki tries to get the points, but Izuku dodges and Katsuki uses his blast to keep attacking. The chase goes on for two minutes until Katsuki puts a hand behind his back and fires off a very violent explosion. The shock wave shoots him so fast that Izuku surprises him and Katsuki gets the points. But the victory is short-lived, as Izuku suddenly smacks Katsuki's back with his open palm, making him momentarily weightless, hand firing a shockwave at his back, all in the blink of an eye. Katsuki didn't notice the attack, he falls way down, the sudden pain forces him to let go of the dots, which Izuku quickly grabs with the attraction, putting him close to his opponent and quickly sending a green repulsion aura down to his team .
Katsuki lands squarely on his horse and the four fall into a heap with Katsuki lying on top of them. "Man, what happened?" asks Eijirou.
"That bastard Deku was playing with me. I had to use my powerful blast to get the points, only for him to quickly retrieve them and deliberately catapult me towards you so I wouldn't get disqualified." says Katsuki with an angry face.
His team scrambles back to their feet and ready to attack again when someone says, "That means you were lightly beaten by a mob. You're just a weakling after all."
This upsets Katsuki and yells, "What did you..." until he suddenly freezes. His team wonders why he's suddenly silent and when they approach him, he doesn't say anything. When he regains consciousness, he yells loudly again: "... you scum. Huh?!" He sees no one who spoke to him. "Have you heard anything, servants?"
"We are not your servants and we heard that, but ignored it." reports Hanta without looking at Bakugo.
"Let's forget it and hunt Deku." Katsuki yells and the three are ready to fight again.
"The 1A are really on the ball. Seven minutes have already passed, but we put on a great show. Let's look at the table." reports Present Mic and everyone looks at the monitor. The result surprised everyone. "Wait a moment! Except for Midoriya and Todoroki, the entire 1A has zero points, even Bakugo. How did that happen?"
Katsuki hears this and touches his forehead. His points are actually gone. "How the hell did that happen, damn shit!" yells Katsuki.
"Apparently our plan has been successful." says Shinso, waving points of the 1A. "Your Quirk is helpful, Monoma."
"Thank you, but yours is powerful too. In this way we were able to defeat the Arrogant class and at the same time collected enough points to progress. Let's just cover up." says Neito.
"What do we do now, Katsuki?" asks Eijirou.
"I'd like to suggest continuing to attack Deku, but if that doesn't work, we're out. I don't like to say that, but we have to attack the weaklings with the dots before we can continue to take first place." explains Katsuki through gritted teeth. 'How could this happen to me? Shit.' screams Katsuki in his mind and chase the other teams with points.
Izuku keeps flying and reflects on the situation. 'It's definitely Shinso's work that challenged us as he has the most points next to me. He must have been working with the 1B, taking my classmates' points while I distracted them. Of course, we stole the show from the 1B before and Shinso declared war on us. By defeating us, they make more of an impression. That also means they're not after me.'
He quickly flies to his team. Tsuyu was freed and saw Deku. "We're going to win the round." he shouts at him when he suddenly sees Shoto in front of him. "The round will be harder to get through than expected."
"So Izuku, I'll get you now," says Shoto.
"The 1B is on the rise and Todoroki challenges Midoriya to battle. This will be a fight, the son of Endeavor against someone who has the power of All Might's nephew. It's going to be a giant battle."
The other teams also want the points and Izuku's team is ready, but Shoto has a strategy against it. "Momo, protect us and prepare a ladder, Denki, activate your Quirk and Tenya, keep running."
"All right" calls the team. The lightning travels through Momos to her stake, which smashes into the ground, hitting everyone present except Shoto's team through the insulated blanket and Izuku, who is flying in the air. He uses the created paralysis and freezes the others, including Izuku's team.
Not missing an opportunity, Shoto attacks Izuku with a wave of ice, which he counters with a powerful shockwave that emanates from his gauntlet, breaking the ice and hitting Shoto squarely. He gets back up and wants to launch another wave of ice, but Izuku keeps his distance to his left and that complicates things.
'Izuku is smart. If I used my ice, I would hit Tenya. Denki's lightning bolts can't reach him without damaging us as well. Only my fire can reach him, but I don't want to use him, which he obviously knows since he's always on my fire side. I'm in trouble.'
"It's only a minute. Bakugo has beaten almost the entire 1-B and is in fourth place, Todoroki is unable to continue, Shinso's team continues to distance itself from others, and Izuku continues to dominate at the top despite his team being crippled. It's nearing its climax." announces Mic.
That doesn't happen, Izuku gets frustrated. He wants to show more, but Shoto doesn't take it seriously. He yells at him. "What are you doing, Shoto." That wakes Shoto up. "Won't you defeat me? Then you should kindly give everything. I guess you hate your father and that's why you don't want to use your fire, but if you don't use it, you will fall by the wayside and you will not defeat me."
Shoto gritted his teeth and knows that he can't get any further without his fire, but he still doesn't want to dance to his father's tune.
Then Tenya speaks to the two. "Izuku, sorry for avoiding you, but that would have reminded me of my uselessness and Shoto, Izuku is right, if we don't give it our all we will never defeat him. If you don't want to use your fire, that's your business, but not getting Izuku is our business, and even if that only gets in the way, I'll do my best. Get the points." He yells "Recipro Burst" and rushes past Izuku fast enough for Shoto to claim the 10 million. Tenya's speed surprises everyone.
"What just happened? Iida has become really fast. Why didn't he show that ultra speed in the obstacle course?" asks Mike.
"I'd like to know that too, Tenya." says Shoto, shocked.
Tenya explains: "If I want, I can increase the power of my engine to the point of explosion. However, this stops the engine for a while. I didn't show anyone this trick. I made it, Izuku. I was able to catch up with you." Tenya smiles at the end.
Izuku smiles too. "You're right. You passed me there. However, you got my full attention. My team, sorry if you're taking the crossfire, but to win I'm going PLUS ULTRA!"
Izuku is surrounded by a powerful aura and it creates shock waves around itself. His body is flashing and his hair is standing up.
This scares Shoto so much that he subconsciously uses his fire on him. In an instant, he landed a fierce kick to Shoto's stomach, taking his points again and his shockwave forcing his team to the ground. Shoto looks at his left hand with violent tremors. "Not again. If this continues, I will never escape my father." Shoto thinks about himself and tries to regain consciousness.
Kat-chan flies towards him above him. He also feels the tremors and fires everything at Izuku. He notices this and with the palm of his hand fires a large powerful shockwave at Kat-chan, neutralizing his blast and sending him flying high.
'This fear is like Tomura. Is Izuku as strong as he is?' Damn shit!' Katsuki curses his thoughts.
"Since time is short, I'll end the finale with a bang." shouts Izuku. He collects a lot of air around his body. "He's not going to… Everyone take cover. Izuku launches a powerful blast wave." The spectators take cover. Shoto creates a large strong ice wall around his team. Monoma touches his friend and together they create a multi-layered wall of air. Katsuki flies at a distance. The rest freeze in the face of his power. He releases the air and the entire stadium is exposed to the blast. The tremor can be felt even by the heroes in their hut.
When the power subsides, everyone on the pitch looks. The sight will leave all spectators, heroes, teachers and even Endeavor speechless. Most of the students passed out. Shoto has almost completely frozen himself for his team. Monoma and his friend have to get their breath back. Katsuki stares out over the stadium in fear. Izuku hovers over the stadium with a cold stare.
"Unbelievable. Izuku Midoriya knocked out most of the students in one fell swoop, including his own team. Not only is he strong, he could easily climb to the top, including us pros."
Tenko withstood the wave with his strength. He laughs hard at his power. "My brother is really powerful. He won the discipline with overwhelming power. Second place goes to Shinso, third to Todoroki, and fourth to Bakugo. With that, I end the preliminary rounds. After this show we will all take an hour break to recover from this shock."
"After a 1 hour break we are back. Hey Shota, want something to eat?" Present Mic completes the discipline.
After everyone wakes up, they go to break. Ochako and Tsuyu also want to eat when Tenya joins them. "That was really mean, avoiding us just to outdo Deku." Ochako snapped at Tenya.
Tenya bows. "Sorry for avoiding you because of my frustration, but I'm back with you. I could at least be at Izuku's level for a little while." he says smile.
"I can't believe Izuku is so powerful. He even got us with it. It makes me wonder how far he can get someone with his quirk. He didn't give his all even with me, kero." replies Tsuyu worried.
"Speaking of Deku, where is he anyway? I'd like to talk to him about it." says Ochako.
Izuku stands opposite Shoto in one of the stadium's gates. "What do you want to discuss with me, Todoroki?!" he says with a tense face.
Meanwhile, Tenko encounters All Might along the way. All Might wants to take him to dinner when Endeavor shows up and joins them.
Note: Sorry it took so long. I've been distracted over the weeks but I'm back. I ended the chapter with a real bang. Then there are the individual fights. I'm even surprised at what I can write. I hope I keep you happy.
