Chapter 945.
"Saving our Town!"
- In collaboration with Marvelomac1010. Though, I had to make some changes to the original concept and idea he had in mind, so I hope this is alright dude.
(September 25. The Royal Woods Theater.)
Night has come, and we see everyone is all gathered here, for something that Mayor Davis has to inform, and yet no one knows what this is truly all about, and among those here are the Louds, and they even had Lori and Leni come along, and they were glad for the aerial transport. The parents of Higgins, Westwind's, Pertland's, and Warwick's are here.
Peter Harris and his commanding officer, Elizabeth Krennick, and a lot of folks from Royal Woods are here to know what is happening, then Luna sees something. "Pop-pop, dude. What the heck are you wearing? Wait, is that you're old soldier attire or something?"
"Well, to be honest I was just checking if I can still fit, and apparently what do you know, still fits, and same with Seymour." They see Seymour wearing the same thing, but then the button from Albert's uniform flies off and a portion of his hairy chest is seen.
Rita is so confused. "Dad, please sit down." she knows why he is still wearing that, obviously there was no time for him to change when the meeting was called for.
Amanda Bright and Katherine Mulligan are hoping to get the scoop on what this is all about, but Zach and his parents think it is an invasion of an alien species known as Reptilians, and that is hardly the belief.
Lincoln sees Lola putting on some perfume. "What are you doing, sis?"
"What? You never know when some big shot star is a special reason why." Lola then checks her makeup,
"I highly doubt that" replied Lisa. But she has this weird feeling, that something doesn't feel right. Then Mayor Davis is on stage and she makes the announcement.
"Hello everyone, and thank you all for coming. Now, I know that you guys are wondering why you were all called here. Well, I swear this doesn't have anything to do with me showing off a new sound effect... Oh, who am I kidding? Just one."
Mayor Theresa Davis then plays a sound effect which sounded like lasers, and she sees no one is even bothering to respond, but then Sam calls out. "So, was that it?"
Mayor Davis then continues. "Alright, now for the important part." Lola is hoping it is some big time Hollywood person. "We have a special guest who tells me that she has some big news for our beloved town of Royal Woods. So, everyone meet Joyce Crandall, the State Under-Secretary of the Water Leisure."
Joyce Crandall is now on stage, and she sees... No one is cheering or clapping, because they don't know her. Lola sighs. "I'm taking Lulu back home." She heads out of the place, and takes her leave, and the Peacekeepers allow her to leave.
Though, seeing everyone not know her, makes Joyce Crandall annoyed, but she tries to put up a straight face. "Hello people of Royal Woods, and Thank you everyone for that warm welcome. As Mayor Davis says, I do have big news and boy is it exciting. Now in order to increase state tourism, I have come up with a big idea!"
"Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls." the curtains then reveal the screen. "Michigan's Sixth Great Lake. Lake Gladys." Everyone is surprised. "I named it after my mother for her birthday, because I didn't have time to shop for a gift. This major lake idea will get me promoted to State Over-Secretary of the Water Leisure, fingers crossed."
She then shows more edited photos of the stuff in the lake, such as herself with her mother water skiing, and otters. "This lake will be the most splendid lake ever!" but Jordan sees something in the photo, the sign from the Burpin' Burger, which is being turned into a home for otters.
"Wait, wait. Is that the Burpin' Burgers Sign?!"
"Surprise!" Joyce Crandall then continues. "Lake Gladys will be located here, in Royal Woods!" She then pushes a button, and this causes balloons to fall, but no one is catching them, though little Dory and Lucas enjoy seeing the falling balloons.
Then Lynn Jr speaks. "Whoa, whoa. Whoa, and hold it right there, lady. You wanna flood our town, and all to make this dumb and cruddy lake?!" Everyone else starts to talk and they don't like this, and all of this seems too suspicious, and is making Katherine Mulligan and Amanda Bright see that something is clearly wrong here.
Joyce Crandall then explains. "Listen everyone, I get it. Having your homes 30 feet under water is probably not an ideal thing." This makes them all gasp. "But it's not a total loss everyone. We will be sure that you are all paid, to move away. So it's a big cha-ching for you right? Also, each of you will receive a one-time only discount for free water skiing tickets, once the lake is done."
"Hey!" Luna Loud stands up. "We don't want your stupid money or your dumb tickets, we want our town to be untouched, especially from someone like you!"
"I mean, why the heck our town of all places?!" asked Lori. She still counts as a citizen of Royal Woods.
Crandall then explains as she shows them some slideshows. "Hazeltucky has the world's largest frying pan, Beaverton has a Piranha Petting Zoo, Fern Valley is home to the oldest-living long-tailed weasel in the world and it also has its own Arc de Triomphe made up of tires, Sandy Flats has a museum dedicated to chicken parts, Petoskey Falls has a mall where I get my nails done and they are the best. So, I don't know what this town even has to make itself memorable and..."
Jordan calls out. "FutureTech controlled operations, and the place where advanced tech was brought to the public." Peter Harris and Elizabeth Krennick fist bump. But then Peter believes, that backup is needed, and he needs to send a message.
"Also, we have Pokémon here" replied Lincoln, and Lily has her Appletun and Lucas with Dustox who is flying around and other folks who have them. "No town has these guys, and their protected within Royal Woods."
"Another thing to clarify" replied Lisa. "Royal Woods has its own Sturgeons population and they are endangered."
"And one more thing!" Leslie speaks. "This town is home to the Youngest Eagle Trainers, Lincoln Loud and Jordan Rosato!" The others also agree, they are also the reason why tourists come, to meet and greet with them.
Joyce Crandall chuckles. "Oh wow, and coming from you all, well the FutureTech guys can just relocate, and those things in costumes don't matter to me, and as for the sturgeon, they will thank me for more water, and also... I really care little on the whole eagle contest thing. There is nothing else in this town that would make you all memorable."
They all couldn't believe what they are hearing, this woman is denying everything that is there. "Now, this has been fun, but I gotta get going now. The demolition team and I will be back in a few days to begin demolition of the damn." She sees the angered and upset looks from everyone. "Come on folks, and cheer up. This of this, some day we will be able to look back and laugh about this."
With that Joyce Crandall leaves, and everyone is left confused and angered, but then Lincoln gets on stage. "Guys, we're not giving up this town. We all need to do something to put a stop to that lady whom we have never even heard of."
Jordan also goes on stage. "Lincoln is right. We're Royal Woods folks, and we have been through a lot. That Crandall woman is not going to flood this town, this is our home and as the rights of Americans it is our choice, not hers! We can all come up with something, but making an attraction is not a thing."
"She has a point" replied Leni. "The Pokémon here count, and also the fact we have Lincoln Loud and Jordan Rosato, the youngest who joined the Bald Eagle Contest at Yellowstone Park."
Everyone else is starting to get hopeful, and then Lincoln speaks. "So, are we gonna let Joyce Crandall destroy our town, our lives and homes?!"
"No!" they all cheer and are looking forward to whatever plan is in store to stop that woman. But Joyce Crandall smirks when she hears this.
'They think they can stop me? Oh, they have no clue what I am capable of and soon this miserable town will be no more. You can't stop me Lincoln Loud and Jordan Rosato, not this time!'
