Cheap motel, L.A. morning

John, Cameron, and Kyle entered the room, they both sat on the bed facing Kyle who was now sitting on a chair.

"How is this even possible? you have been sent to 1984 to save my mother from a T-800 sent back to kill her before I was born" Asked John.

"Well, I can't say that I really understand any of this time travel staff, but according to future Cameron there are many timelines, and every time we time travel, we create new ones. So, there must have been another future with another Kyle Reese who was sent to 1984 meanwhile I was sent to 2009, at least it's one option" Kyle responded.

"I'm going to have a headache," John said, "Anyway what's your mission, are you going to help us, free mom, from the prison? And what year are you from?" he asked.

Manville John talked with Kyle, Cameron was thinking about this "Future Cameron" what did he mean by that, as far as she knew she didn't have a future, it must be another her which means that history seems to repeat itself at some points in different timelines.

Kyle responded to John's questions "Well, I'm from the year 2034 and I was sent to help you stop Judgement Day".

"Then we should go and free mom," John said.

"Actually, you don't have to, I arrived there with a T-800, one of those who seem to go on steroids and have a funny accent," Kyle said, "Now I understand why you taught him slang, anyway, freeing your mother is his mission".

"Well... I only hope that mom doesn't freak out when she sees him" John responded

'Okey, that wasn't that difficult, although there are more things to say at last the first part is over, and there are some things that I can't reveal yet' Kyle thought.

John was still shocked to see this man who in another timeline was his father, he was kind of glad that Cameron will not be the one to break into jail, he had had a bad feeling about it.

Deep down John didn't want to send her there, he knew that despite denying it he cared about Cameron and hated seeing her injured.

Now he wanted to learn something more about the future from which this Kyle came.

Cameron was also analyzing the words of Kyle Reese and had many questions, especially about the state of war between the Resistance and Skynet.

"What is the state of the war in the year 2034?" Cameron asked.

John and Kyle locked at Cameron after forgetting that she was with them.

"We won the war, but the damage was also big, and it will take generations before the world returns to the state before the war," Kyle said, "For this reason, General Connor sent me to help you stop it".

"Well, at least we won," John said with a sour face.

Cameron seeing that John is upset placed her hand on his shoulder and said: "Don't worry you will stop it, I know you will".

John looked into her eyes and with a small smile responded by saying simply "Thank you" then looking back at Kyle he said "Well then we should wait for mom and our big friend"

At those words, Kyle who just a moment ago was inwardly smiling at the scene before him felt uncomfortable "Actually you ordered the T-800 to take you, mother, into hiding until the situation calms down" Kyle said.

"Well, I can't say I like it, but I can see the logic, and as long as my mom is safe, I will be happy…" John said, "Well, what do we know?"

"We must go to ZeiraCorp Headquarters".

After hearing this, Cameron frowned, and her hand started twitching.

Sarah cell, Jail, morning

She was waiting to see Cameron after Father Bonilla left the message from her son, but instead, she was greeted by a face that was both one of her worst nightmares and one of the saviors of her son.

"Come with me if you want to live," the terminator says to her.

She hesitates but there's nothing she could do, so she goes with it.

After getting out of the building they go to the vehicle and take off as fast as they can.

"So, what's your mission, Tin Man?" Sarah asks.

"My mission is to protect Sarah Connor until the situation calms down, then my priority is to stop Judgement Day" he answers.

"Are you taking me to my son?"

"No, my orders are to take you to a Resistance cell in Portland for you to assume the command".

"Why, what?!"

"Your son believes that with the Resistance assets in Portland you should be able to neutralize Kaliba resources in Oregon".

"And what about John?"

"General Connor has sent him a second protector to aid him and Cameron Phillips, he's one of his most trusted officers".

"I hope that he knows what he's doing otherwise I will show him what Sarah Connor is made of".

On the road to ZeiraCorp, L.A. noon

They were driving in Connor's SUV towards ZeiraCorp, John was driving, Cameron was in the passenger seat, and Kyle was at the back.

Cameron despite wearing a blank face was very upset, she didn't understand why but after seeing John's smile directed at her she was more reluctant to comply with her mission, she wanted? Is that even possible? She didn't understand herself anymore, she always was different, but this was something very strange and somehow It scared her, just another glitch she can never be scared she's a terminator, but still…

John was thinking about the ZeiraCorp, and what it was all about, it could be Skynet but then why he was going to be its CEO, if it is Skynet, he should destroy it, not talk with the leader of the corporation that creates the AI that will destroy the world unless the AI know as John Henry isn't Skynet. He's also preoccupied with Cameron despite her blank face he sees in her eyes that something troubles her, but what?

Kyle was thinking about the next step, they were going to visit the ally thanks to whom they could win the war, and with his help avoid the war altogether, he's troubled with the situation between John and Cameron, she hasn't told John about it, perhaps he should? Yes, it would be better if I told about it for both of their sakes.

Breaking the silence Kyle starts to speak "I think it's time to explain to you what it is about".

"Well, it will help a lot if we know more about why we should talk with Catharine Weaver?" John said a bit irritated.

"It's important because the AI she's creating will help us in the fight with Skynet, without John Henry we would have lost the war, with his help we can even prevent from it happening" Kyle responded, "Also the CEO isn't actually real Catherine Weaver, no in truth she's a T-1001 who impersonates real Catherine".

"What?" John frowned "That doesn't make any sense, she has a daughter, Savannah"

"I know, I meet her in the future, she was one of the techs who worked on reprogramming machines and operating the TDE" Kyle answered.

"Well, that explains why a triple 8 tried to kill her…" John said, "but that still doesn't answer why a liquid metal would go against Skynet".

"Well, you can ask her when we meet her. Anyway, I told you everything I was authorized to reveal about this part of your plan".

"So, I don't have to". Cameron said gaining attention from John.

"What do you mean?" he asked her

"I'm sorry John, I couldn't tell you what Kyle just said but my orders were not to reveal anything about it, and there's still part of my mission that I can't reveal to you," she told him.

"And is something that neither of us would like," he said to her

"What do you mean?" She asked him

"Well, I can see that you are upset, and troubled about this mission and I have a feeling that I won't like it either".

She simply nodded.

"Don't worry Cam, I assure you that we will find a way to comply with your mission and not get upset about it" he smiled at her, and she also managed a small smile in response.

She tilted her head in that adorable way he likes and asked "John, why did you call me Cam?"

"Well, I don't know, I did that without thinking" he tried to answer "I'm sorry if you don't like it"

"I like it very much John," she told him with a beaming smile this time.

Kyle observed the exchange between them and thought 'a lot better'.

Finally, they arrived at ZeiraCorp.
