Gil's POV

It was Friday night, I was pacing back and forth in my bedroom, my body would not stop trembling, I had an awful fluttery feeling in my chest, my heart wouldn't racing. I was on the verge of a panic attack. It was 11:00 at night.

I locked my door because I don't want mayor dad in here seeing me like this. Something was really wrong. Something felt off. I really didn't want to disturb Flint at this hour, but I was having these awful aches in my bones. I was sweating and having a lot of pain for some reason deep in my bones.

What the heck was going on?? I can't take this anymore!!! I dialed Flint's number and he picked up. Flint! Something is really wrong I'm having awful pains in my bones, I'm all sweaty and my heart won't stop racing! Oh no.. flint said. What's going on Gil?? I don't know!

I think maybe we should go to the hospital. Flint said I can't! I said with tears in my eyes. What if I transform in the hospital?!? Mayor dad will find out for sure! Okay, okay, Gil breathe….. it's going to be okay. Flint said. Just focus on your breathing right now, just take slow deep breaths. Flint said. I tried to slow down my breathing.

Gil are you sitting down? No.. I replied. What are you doing? Flint asked. I'm pacing around.. I replied. Okay I want you to sit down okay? Okay.. I sat down in one of my chairs. Owwww!!! I got suddenly intense sharp pains in my bones. I felt like they were being pulled from 2 sides.

I felt like I was dying. Okay Gil listen to me, I'm coming over there okay? Flint said. Okay! Please hurry flint! I don't know why I'm having so much pain! I think the full transformation is coming!!! I can't hold it back much longer Flint! It's happening TONIGHT!

Okay Gil!!! Just hang tight I'm coming! I don't want mayor dad to know!!! I said in a panic. He won't Gil, it's gonna be okay, I promise. Flint said. I'm scared it's going to kill me!!! No it won't kill you Gil! I promise your going to make it. Are you going to be okay for the next 15 minutes? Flint asked.

I'll try.. I said clenching my teeth. I had no idea the transformation was going to be this painful.. I didn't even know it was going to be painful at all! Okay Gil I'll be right over just hang in there! Okay.. we hung up. At this point I was laying on my bedroom floor trying not make any noise. I had my hand over my mouth in case I get the urge to scream.

I just wanted this to be over! I was so scared! I was scared of the full transformation! What if it kills me?? I was already is so much pain. I felt like my bones were going to snap! I was trying to fight it. This awful pain was making me fight it. My legs began to curl up. I could hear loud bone popping sounds in my body.

I was just trying to breathe. How was I going to let Flint inside?? It was too painful to even walk now! I grabbed my phone and texted him the issue. He replied and said he would climb in through the window. The window?? How is he gonna get past the gate?? It freaking has barbed wire on top! I thought to myself. There was nothing I could do to distract myself enough to where I could focus on anything els.

I was trying so hard to keep it in, but I was failing. Suddenly My muscles felt like they were going to tear. I felt like I was having the worst charlie horse of my life, it was in my legs mostly, but it was also in my arms and kind of everywhere.

I crawled over to the window and opened it so Flint could get in. I laid back down, my hands tightly gripping the carpet on both sides of me, my teeth clenching. Was I dying? Would this transformation kill me? Is this it? What if it's too much for me to handle?? I was so scared suddenly that my transformation would kill me.

About 20 minutes have passed and I was still laying there. I suddenly hear something outside my window. It was Flint! He crawled in through the window. Geez Gil you look awful! Gee thanks flint! I reply sarcastically through my clenched teeth. How did you get through the gate?? I'm a scientist Gil, I have my ways.. Now, let's what we got here.

Woah.. Gil, have you seen your eyes in the mirror? Flint asked. No why? I asked. Your pupils are really dilated. Oh. I replied. Flint looked at my arms and legs.. Gil your body is really swelling up.. Flint told me. I'm gonna die.. I'm gonna die.. I said in a panic. No your gonna make it, I'm gonna help you through this!

Flint suddenly pulled out a big needle from his pocket. What is that?? I asked him. It's an invention. I promise it's harmless. It's gonna help with the pain and make your swelling go down. It's also going to help you relax a little. It's already been tested and it works just fine.

It's going to help the transformation go more smoothly. Right now, your fighting the transformation really hard, which is only going to make it more scary and painful. This will help with that. But what if-Ahhhhhhh!!!!!! My question was interrupted by a terrible bone popping jerk. I was trying not be loud but it was hard.

Just do it flint! I can't do this anymore! Okay just hold still, he tells me. He injected the needle in my leg. The swelling immediately went down. I was still in a lot of pain, but in a way, it felt like the process was going more smoothly. It's okay Gil. I'm right here.

I looked at flint with a face full of pain.. Well I mean, it's not like we can just go to an emergency room, and be like.. oh yes I'm transforming into a werewolf please help me. Flint laughed a little. That's true, he said. Eh, your a scientist so your the closest thing to a doctor I got, I said.

I was in at shirt, sweatpants, and socks that were stretched enough that my feet won't tear through them when the transformation happens. Im really cold can you hand me a blanket over there? Of course! Flint said. He handed me a blanket as I began to shiver. Do you need water or anything? There's a glass of water on my nightstand, I tell him.

Flint handed me the glass of water. Thanks, I tell him. Do you want to lay in bed? Flint asked me. No I just want to stay on the floor.. I replied. I didn't know why, but the floor seemed the most comfortable right now, in a blanket with a pillow. I was in a lot of pain but things were a bit calmer now. I wish I would just transform already and get this over with! I said frustrated.

I know.. Flint said sitting next to me. I had no idea it was going to be so painful. I tell Flint. Yeah unfortunately it's a process, but it looks like its going to happen tonight. There's a full moon tonight. Your getting really close, Flint said. I really hope so, because there's no way I can just stay like this for too much longer. I'm scared Flint. I'm scared that this transformation will kill me.

Flint looked over at me. What if it's too much for me to take, and my heart just stops? I won't let that happen, Flint said. I will give you CPR if I have to. Oh no.. if I get to that point just let me die please I'm in pain.. I said. How in the world did mayor dad go through this as a kid??

I asked. I don't know, but when I saw him transform on Halloween night, it looked really uncomfortable. Flint replied. I'm pretty sure he felt the pain too. We stayed like this for a few hours, just waiting for whatever was going to happen to happen.

My eyes were closed, I wasn't fully asleep just kind of dozed off. Flint just watched over me trying to make me comfortable, which I was grateful for. My awareness suddenly shot back and my eyes opened wide. Suddenly I could hear my leg bones popping intensely, my heart right shot up, as well as my pain. I started to panic. Flint!!! Flint! It's happening!!!

Flint was at my side immediately ready to help. It's okay Gil. Just let it happen. Just let it do it's the thing. Try not to fight it, because that's just going to make it harder. OWWWWWWW!!! I yelped out as I heard this loud crack. Did my legs just break?!? Flint! Ahhhh!!! Flint I'm going to scream! I don't want mayor dad to hear!!!

Flint grabbed another pillow from my bed and gave it to me. I screamed into the pillow. Owww!!! It's happening flint! This is it. I yelped in pain again. My voice suddenly let out a deep growl every time I yelped in pain. A growl that sounded inhuman. My bones were popping like crazy, suddenly it happened.

My arms and legs swelled up, my ears were suddenly pointy, my teeth grew in long fangs. My claws were super sharp, I had fur all over my body. I had a tail. My yelps of pain were now growls. I was now in my complete form. AROOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! I howled loudly.

Flint threw a pillow at my face. Gil shut up!!!! Your dads going to hear you!!! If your going to howl, then howl in the pillow! Flint said. Suddenly the pain disappeared. I felt so much relief that the pain was gone. Flint!!! I looked at flint. He looked at me with wide eyes.. you did Gil.. you did it.

I went over to the mirror and looked at myself. I couldn't believe it. I was a werewolf! And this was my complete form! Wow.. I can't believe it Flint. I know.. Flint replied, I'm really proud of you Gil. You did it. I was touched. Thank you flint. You don't know how much that means to me. Your such a good friend. He smiled back at me.

You don't think my dad heard the howl do you?? I don't know, just stay right there Gil, flint unlocked my bedroom door, what are you doing?? I asked. Shhh! Just hold on, flint walked softly down the hall and saw mayor dads bedroom, then he came back and closed the door. He's asleep, I could hear him snoring, flint said. Oh thank goodness! I said in relief.

I can't believe it! It finally happened!!! Yes it did, flint said grabbing his backpack. I'm going to stay here with you tonight just in case, Flint said, Okay, I replied. He had a toothbrush a change of clothes, and a blanket in his backpack I'll sleep in the chair over here. Are you sure? I asked. Of course. I don't mind at all! Plus you need your bed Gil.

You probably just went through the worst pain of your life. You need to rest. I'm scared I won't know how to make myself human again, I tell him. We will work on that after you get some rest. If your dad can do it, you can do it. Once you calm down and rest it should make it easier to become human again, and hopefully all that pain was just because you were fully transforming for the first time.

So the next time it happens hopefully it will be easier. Yeah I replied. I'm gonna lay down now. I tell him. Okay Gil I'll be right here if you need me.
