Naruto was staring silently out of his bedroom window, "…You've been quiet all evening Naruto." Sakura said gently.
"I'm sorry." He said apologetically.
Sakura shook her head. "What's wrong?" She asked, concerned.
He sighed. "I don't think I'm cut out to control the nine tails."
"You showed a moment of control today; I saw it. She reminded him encouragingly. "It was long enough for me to perform the Sealing Jutsu and embed it into the chakra crystal."
He was anxious. "With the way that most of the surrounding area was destroyed, it's a good thing we were so far away from the village."
"The nine tails is powerful, but Naruto, you will be able to control it someday… I don't think your dad would have sealed it in you if he didn't think you would be able to control it someday."
"How can you be sure?" He asked.
Sakura put her hand on his cheek. "Because I believe in you, and besides, you are your mother's son." She reminded him, making sure to emphasize the last part.
Naruto nodded somberly. "You were right, thinking that the nine tails extracted from my mom…"
"I wish I wasn't Naruto." Sakura sounded heartbroken for him.
"My clan lives much longer than most people, but I've never met another Uzumaki. Do you think I'm the last one?" He asked longingly.
Sakura frowned. "I don't know; the only thing I've found in books about the Uzumaki clan is that they excel at sealing jutsu and are born with powerful chakra."
"Well, that makes sense, but just because my mother could, it doesn't guarantee that I will ever be able to control the nine tails." He was somber.
"Rushing won't help you. Besides, you've been through enough today." She said sympathetically.
"Have I mentioned how lost I would be without you?" He said, smiling. "I don't mean to drag down the mood."
Sakura was dismissive. "You didn't, I knew something was bothering you; I mean, you hardly ate any ramen." She leaned against his chest intimately, hugging him tightly.
He sighed with his arms around her. "I wish I could get my mind off this damn fox demon."
"Well, I can fix that." She said determinedly. "I've been wanting to have sex since our first time, but my hospital stay for the Hashirama Cell injections got in the way." She let out a sigh of relief. "But now I've recovered." She whispered slowly.
"Are you sure?" Naruto asked.
Sakura smiled and collapsed on top of Naruto on his bed. "I'm fully recovered; we can have sex again. I hated that we couldn't while I was in the middle of the mutation. There is nothing fun or romantic about being in the hospital, especially when you're body feels like it's being torn apart." She admitted anxiously.
"I'm sorry you were in constant pain." He said empathetically. "I know too much about that."
"Is that how the nine-tailed fox's chakra feels, Naruto? Is it constant pain?" She asked, frowning sadly.
"Yeah, so I understand feeling like your body is being ripped apart." He said.
"I should be telling you that. Having that fox inside of you." She said softly.
"Yeah I'm not lucky." He shrugged laughing.
"Oh, I think your about to get very lucky;." She whispered.
"I didn't expect you to have sex again, not any time soon." He said sheepishly.
"What are you talking about I've been preparing in advance, I'm on birth control pills now and I bought condoms too." She said very matter of fact.
"Wow, on top of it." He said."
Well, Yeah." She frowned "Why would you think I wouldn't want to continue having sex with you?" She asked chuckling.
"I guess I thought it would take longer for you to recover from getting the Hashirama Cells and we would be at war by then." He told her quietly.
"I thought that too…" She admitted, "But I swear I got a clean bill of health." She said, looking seriously into his tentative face.
"Okay." Naruto relaxed.
"Good, I'll be back." She said quickly.
"I'm not going anywhere." He said calmly.
When Sakura came back several minutes later she made sure to close the bedroom door so there was no need later on…
"Sorry, my bag was a cluttered mess." She handed Naruto a box. "You should keep these here." Sakura said, he nodded.
"Yeah," He emptied the entire box of condoms into his only desk drawer, eying one up close. "Do these things really prevent pregnancy?" He asked skeptically.
"Yes, still, nothing is 100% effective; that's why I'm on the pill now too." Sakura said.
"Wait, if nothing is a guarantee, why bother with any of it?" He asked, confused as he dropped the condom into the door.
Sakura held him close, remembering that Naruto wasn't all that logical. "If I got pregnant during the war, it would be inconvenient, not to mention the potential tactical liability I would be."
"You are right." He said sheepishly.
"Plus, we're still young, and I'm not trying to get pregnant, not now... I couldn't handle our unborn baby being targeted to sway the tide of the war." Sakura was surprised at the emotional weight in her voice now.
"You said our baby." Naruto said quietly.
"Well, duh, you idiot. You are going to be the father of my kids! I didn't say never, I said not yet." She was smiling affectionately, her eyes locked in his.
Naruto grinned. "Something about hearing you say that makes it easy to believe." She kissed him for a long time. "But that helps too." He said slowly.
"I think I can do better." She whispered playfully.
Naruto whispered. "Um, I think I see where this is going, but I don't actually, know how to put on a— "
"You don't need one, yet." She said quickly.
"But I thought you said you wanted to minimize the risk of— "
"Yeah, obviously, but there are other ways we can have sex Naruto, ways that don't run the risk of a pregnancy." This information seemed to shock Naruto.
"Everything I know about having sex is what you've told me, it would be so much easier if I knew stuff already, but I didn't get sex talks from my parents." He said anxiously.
"I'm sorry about that, Naruto." She sighed. "As a medical ninja, knowing how the body works is second nature to me. You'd be surprised how many problems, even sexual ones, can not be fixed with medical ninjutsu." Sakura couldn't help but blush a little.
"I hope I don't end up with a sexual problem, I'd feel sorry for anyone who ends up in the hospital over something like that." He said quickly, They laughed.
Sakura slowly caught her breath. "Well… you don't have anything to worry about; I can attest to that."
"Did I ruin the mood?" He asked uncertainly.
"You worry too much, Naruto. We don't need to rush our night; all that matters right now is us." She said gently.
"It has been a long day." He admitted.
"Exactly, and so in case you forgot, I just spent almost three weeks confined to a hospital bed; there is nothing that could ruin my mood…" Sakura told him eagerly.
Naruto quickly understood how much Sakura had been waiting to have sex again. It didn't take long for her to start taking clothes off, and Naruto followed suit, eventually leaving a pile on the floor…
"You have such a beautiful face, Sakura." He told her earnestly.
"Your genuineness makes me wonder why it took me so long to fall in love with you, you never took advantage of me." Sakura said emotionally.
"I was never going to force you to love me; I would sacrifice anything for you to be happy, Sakura." Naruto said gently.
Sakura took Naruto's hand; her voice was quite apologetic. "I think that was always what scared me about falling in love with you, how much you are willing to do anything for me; I thought I didn't deserve that, but now I realize that is exactly what love should be. That's why I've insisted on doing everything I've done recently."
Naruto was surprised to see tears silently rolling down her face. "Sakura…" He reached to dry her tears. "Don't cry." He whispered; pulling her into a consoling embrace.
"I know now that there's nothing, not a single thing that I won't do for you, oh Naruto, I love you, Kami do I love you…so much." She whispered lovingly, kissing his neck.
"You deserve to be happy, that's all I want to do is make you happy." He said affectionately.
"Later," Sakura looked at him thoughtfully, her voice quiet and full of devotion. "Let me focus on you right now; just lie back and relax."
Naruto's imagination had certainly gotten the better of him when he thought about Sakura being his girlfriend over the years. Still, no part of his imagination went as far as reality.
"Wow, now I'm wondering what else you can do." He said curiously, trying to slow his breathing down.
"I could always get my mouth involved." She teased mischievously.
"People do that?" He asked, raising his eyebrows.
"Yeah, it's called oral sex, I can't guarantee that I would be any good at it, but I can try." She offered, blushing at him.
"You knew what you were doing with your hands, so I think anything else new tonight might be too much for me." He said.
"I wouldn't want you to be overwhelmed; how about every time we have sex, we try something new," Sakura said gently.

"Right," He said, popping back up and running to the drawer where he had dumped them all. "Um," He said hastily. "How exactly do I put it on?" He asked sheepishly.
"So, it's similar to unrolling a scroll." She explained, "But you're wearing it." Sakura finished saying as she put the condom on him. "Easy enough, right?"
"Yeah," He couldn't help but tease her. "But are you sure this isn't just an excuse to grab my— "
"Naruto!" She said, trying to sound annoyed but laughing instead.
"I couldn't resist, " He said defensively with a smile.

"I can do that." He said, grinning back.

Sakura dropped her head against his chest. "I hope so…You make my life so much better, and I want to live it with you."
"What if you live here?" He asked her casually.
Sakura grinned from ear to ear. "Yes!"
"Really?" He asked.
"I was going to move in eventually; why wait." Her kiss was much more intense, and it did not take long before she lay on top of him, eyes lustful again. "You know, I think I want to return the favor for what you did earlier, right now," Sakura told Naruto playfully when she pulled away from his lips.
"I thought you were tired?" He looked surprised.
"What can I say? I'm suddenly extremely motivated." She sounded determined.
"I love you." He said, chuckling.
Sakura whispered passionately. "I love you, Naruto, and I know how lucky I am that you love me; I'm going to make sure all that the years I kept you waiting for me were worth it; it's my turn to tire you out, Naruto."
"I'm an Uzumaki, and we don't tire easily." He cautioned her playfully.

Naruto slept exceptionally well that night, snoring soundly, much to Sakura's satisfaction. She allowed herself to watch him sleep for a while, admiring the peace on his face until she fell asleep too.
