Day 10: Badass

Mayura found herself rounded by smoke, plus part of the factory she was in was on fire, she had to get out of there.

She tried to get out as she could, but she felt a pressure under one of her feet. She was trapped. Her fan was too far away to create a new sentimonster to help her.

She was trapped. She thought that maybe if Ladybug used the Miraculous Ladybug everything would go back to normal and she could save herself from it.

She soon saw how the ladybugs surrounded the entire building.

To her concern everything kept burning and she was still trapped.

After Ladybug and her team managed to capture all the sentimonsters, they found the object where the amok was located to purify it. She then used her Miraculous Ladybug to get everything back to normal, or so they thought. For Ladybug and Chat Noir it was strange. Where was Mayura?

Chat Noir in the distance saw smoke going very high into the sky. That was very rare. He approached the place, looking for the origin of the smoke. He realized that he was heading towards the outskirts of the city again.

Being close enough, he saw a building on fire. Apparently, the Miraculous Ladybug hadn't fixed the building because of what had probably happened just before the sentimonster appeared on the scene.

Chat Noir went directly to that building to see what was happening. He had a hunch that he wasn't liking it at all, but it was better to check rather than regret if his suspicions were true.

"Chat Noir wait!" Ladybug had been following her for a few minutes.

But Chat Noir turned a deaf ear to Ladybug.

Ladybug went after him worried that she was going crazy for wanting to inspect that burning factory.

Chat Noir entered as he could to the factory. He carefully examined the surroundings until he saw what confirmed his suspicions.

Mayura was trapped there.

Chat Noir ran towards her.

"Do you need help?"

She nodded regardless that her worst enemy was there.

She was coughing very hard. The smoke seemed to be wreaking havoc on her lungs because she was finding it harder and harder to breathe. Chat Noir tried to free her from where she was trapped, but to no avail.

"I'll go for help!" he exclaimed, "I'll be right back!"

When Chat Noir left, he found Ladybug waiting for him at the entrance.

"Chat Noir, what are you doing? That was so irresponsible! You could have hurt yourself." Ladybug hugged him, relieved that she hadn't hurt him.

"Ladybug please help me. Mayura is trapped in there" Chat Noir said hurriedly.

"Mayura? But what happened?" Ladybug was very confused.

"I don't know, but I wouldn't want to leave her there."

Ladybug thought about it for a bit. She feared it was some kind of trap they might fall into. But as much as she was her enemy, she was not capable of leaving her to her fate. Especially not in a situation like this.

"Okay Chat. But we have to be very careful, we don't know how much longer this structure can resist" Ladybug said, seeing on how old the structure was and how bad it was.

They both entered where Mayura was trapped.

Ladybug tied up some of the rubble to lift it from the ceiling and Chat Noir positioned himself with his cane to free Mayura.

They both exerted quite a bit of force until they managed to lift the material. Mayura stepped back to get out of there, allowing the other two carriers to drop the debris. They both ran to help her.

Suddenly a little dust began to fall from the ceiling.

They both pushed Mayura away from the rubble she was falling so neither of them would get hurt anymore.

"Mayura, are you alright?" Chat Noir asked.

"Yes, you go and escape, I'll see how to get out."

"But…" Chat Noir was going to protest.

"Now!" Mayura yelled at them.

"Chat Noir let's go" Ladybug took his hand leading him towards the exit "She'll be fine. We must trust her."

"Alright. Come on" Chat Noir gave Mayura one last look before heading out of the building.

Both superheroes ran to the exit before everything collapsed to see how they could help Mayura from the outside.

Mayura heard the Miraculous sound, indicating that her transformation would be finished soon.

Duusu stayed by her side after her transformation finished.

They both went to the emergency exit. Nathalie put her hand on the handle, burning herself in the process. She winced as she clutched her hand.

"Miss Nathalie, are you alright?" Duusu asked, very worried about her.

"Yes, Duusu, just help me get out of here" Nathalie was holding as long as possible so as not to lose consciousness.

Duusu entered the doorknob. It took him a few seconds to open it fully.

Nathalie had to push the door a little as it was locked. With the strength she had left, she managed to free the door and escape through the corridor, which was the only place that was not on fire.

On the other side Ladybug and Chat Noir were waiting to see if Mayura had managed to escape. Suddenly a shadow came out of one of the emergency exit.

Nathalie had fallen at her feet.

Ladybug was surprised. Nathalie Sancœur. It was her all this time

Chat Noir crouched down next to her to check her vital signs. She looks like she was having trouble breathing.

"We have to get her to a hospital" Chat Noir scooped her up in her arms.

"It's okay. I will go ahead so that they are prepared to attend her and then I will inform Mr. Agreste. But you owe me a lot of explanations."

"I know and you will have them. Now let's go" Chat Noir and Ladybug ran to their destinations

Chat Noir went to the hospital and Ladybug went directly to the Agreste mansion to inform Gabriel of what happened. Luckily, he had already returned after searching for Nathalie. Ladybug landed in front of the mansion and just as Gabriel came out, Ladybug informed him of what had happened.

"Mr. Agreste, Ms. Sancoeur is in the hospital right now. We found her in a burning building. I came to let know you."

"Thank you very much, Ladybug, I'll keep an eye on the situation."

With that the girl left the place.

Ladybug could be her biggest enemy. But this time she appreciated her work as her superhero. Thanks to her and Chat Noir, Nathalie had gotten out of that burning building alive.

Gabriel went to prepare all the necessary equipment for Nathalie's care at that time. He would do everything possible for her to stay in the mansion so that she could recover in peace and without the paparazzi's bothering her at all. As soon as he got the call from the hospital, he would go see her. The last thing he wanted was to raise suspicions about Nathalie.

He just hoped she was okay. If he was given permission, he would take her home and take care of her there with all the equipment he had available.
