Tai carried her all the way back to their house and laid her down in a spare bedroom they had.

She wanted to treat her injuries and head out as quickly as possible, but as the day went on the sicker she got. By the afternoon, she didn't feel like she had the energy to raise her arms let alone leave the house.

Tai had propped up her injured leg with some extra pillows and her other leg and hand were bandaged up tightly.

Tai only came in to bring her food. Once he left it on her lap he just left without saying a word. Summer felt like it best. Even though he had apologized for what he said last night, there was still tension in the air.

She had half a day to decide what she wanted to do. After she recovered, she'd leave, and only see her former team again when a mission called for it. Since Tai retired to raise Yang she'd probably never see him again.

Just then a horrible realization hit Summer. Yang. Throughout all that happened she had completely forgotten about her.

Another massive tsunami of guilt crashed over her, worse than before. Betraying her best friend and splitting her up from her love was horrible enough, but she hadn't thought of what it meant for Yang. She was only a year old and now she was only going to grow up with separated parents, one hating the other.

Summer slowly began to cry thinking of it. That was just another life she ruined because she was selfish and couldn't help herself.

She had been crying louder than she thought. The door slowly creeped open and Yang's head appeared in crack. "Are you crying?"

Summer wasn't sure what to say at first. "Yea." She eventually said.

Before she knew it Yang was by her bedside, on top of a chair. "What's wrong? Is it because you're hurt?" She asked innocently. Summer couldn't help but smile slightly. "Yea, it's cause I'm hurt." She said. Summer hated lying to people, but she couldn't tell a one year old she just split her parents up, even though she wouldn't understand.

"Don't cry. Cause you'll get better, just like mommy!" Yang said enthusiastically.

"Yea, I know. Thanks Yang."

"Will you be better next time we see her?"

"I hope so." Summer tried her best to hold in her tears, but couldn't help it. She didn't want to cry in front of her, but she couldn't help it.

Yang gently hugged her arm. "Don't be sad."

Despite her sorrow, Summer felt her heart melt a little.

"I'll try."

"When I'm sad, I like to watch cartoons."

"Do you want to watch some with me?" Summer said doing best to stop crying.

"Yea!"

After an hour or so of watching cartoons Yang was getting sleepy. She would usually be taking her nap around this time.

Summer loved Yang, but she thought her choice in cartoons sucked, but it did distract her from her grief.

The door opened and Tai came in. "There you are Yang." He said. It was the first time Summer heard him speak since they got back to the house. "Come on, it's time for your nap."

"But cartoons." She said sleepily.

"Later Yang." Yang sighed and got out of the chair and walked to her room. "Bye Summer." she said. Tai was about to follow her when Summer called out. "Tai, wait." He paused at the door, hesitating. "Yeah?" He asked, turning around.

"I-I just want you to know, she'll come back. I know she will, because of Yang." Summer said.

"You really think so?"

"I know so. Yangs is a sweet little angel, I know she wouldn't leave her."

"I hope you're right, Summer." He said shutting the door.

As the week went on Summer started feeling better. By the end of the week she could put pressure on her leg again and her cold was almost gone.

It worried her that Raven hadn't returned yet, but she probably needed more time.

Summer got her stuff and snuck out in the middle of the night. She sent Tai a text saying that she wouldn't be back unless it was for huntsmen business and wished him and Yang the best. After she left she wished she had the heart to tell him in person, but she knew she would break down if she did. It was heartbreaking whenever she talked about her mom. She may be young but she noticed they stopped going to visit her. She hoped that with her leaving Raven would come back sooner.

Six weeks had passed, and Summer found herself back at Tais steps. She dreaded doing this but she knew she had to. She knocked on the door. What would happen if Raven was in there? She didn't want to fight again, but she knew it would be her reaction.

The door opened. It was Tai, he looked tired and surprised to see her. He'd grown out his facial hair, and looked like he hadn't changed his clothes in a few days. "Summer? What are you doing here?"

"Sorry, I know I said I wouldn't come back unless it was huntress business but… um is Raven back?" She asked stalling.

Tai looked angry. "No, no she's not. Is that all? That could have been a text."

"No that's not it." she looked down avoiding his gaze. "Tai I don't know how to say this, but um… I'm pregnant."
