Tai stood in the doorway stunned, his mouth open, but not saying anything. It felt like he stared at her for an eternity.

"Why are you telling me?" He finally said. Now Summer was stunned.

"What do you mean why?" she asked.

"It's not mine. It probably belongs to someone else you came onto." He tried to go back inside, , but Summer caught his arm, gripping it much harder than she meant to. "Tai please, let's not play the blame game, you're the only person I've been with, you know that."

He ripped his arm away and continued to walk away into the house. Summer followed him in.

The house was a lot messier than it was six weeks ago. Dishes were stacked in the sink, clothes laid on the floor, and garbage that needed to be taken out a week ago.

Tai sat on the couch where this mess all began, Summer stood in front of him. "What do you wanna do about this? You know it's yours."

Tai took a deep breath. "I know. I'm sorry, I just don't understand how." He said, he sounded dead inside.

"Some of your…stuff must have gotten through your aura." Summer said.

"Didn't you have yours up?" He asked.

"No." She said, embarrassed. There was a long pause. "I can get an apartment nearby, so you can visit, I doubt Raven will want our kid staying here."

"Assuming she ever comes back." Tai whispered. Summers' heart sank, she hated seeing him like this.

"Have you heard anything from her at least?"

"Nope, she hasn't answered any calls, texts, email, nothing. If I'm being honest, I'm starting to lose hope."

Tai looked like a completely different person then the guy he always knew. So sad and hopeless, the complete opposite of the man she had always known. Even though she knew he consented, she couldn't help but feel like it was all her fault.

"Summer!" Yang's voice said from across the room distracting her from her sorrow. "Hi Yang, I was just visiting. I actually can't stay long."

"No! You can't! Can you make some cookies first?"

Summer couldn't help but smile. "Okay, but only if it's okay with your daddy."

"Please daddy!" Yang yelled. Summer turned to him to see his response. He lazily waved his hand toward the kitchen. "Go ahead." He said

As she was baking Yang came up to her. "Summer, have you seen my mommy?" Summer froze for a moment. "Daddy says we can't visit her at the doctor any more." Summer put on a forced smile. "That's because she's all better now. But she had to go on a super important mission to keep everyone safe. You'll see her again soon!" She said as enthusiastically as she could manage. "I miss her." Summer felt her soul die a little inside her.

"Me too, but I know she'll be back soon. Don't you worry."

Summer began to wonder. Raven would never abandon her own child, would she?

Raven told her back in Beacon that she had hated her parents. Her father was abusive to her and Qrow. Treating them like weapons, forcing them to be the perfect killers and thieves. Neither ever having a real childhood. She always told her that if she had kids of her own she would be different, she would give them a perfect childhood, but now Summer was starting to doubt she would return.
