Henry wasn't used to being alone like this. He'd often sought out solitude in his youth, but that was because there were always people around in court. Any solitary time had to be stolen.

It wasn't that he didn't like people, or that he tried to avoid them. Just sometimes, a person needed time away from other people to think, and to be oneself, and not what everyone else expected.

Now, he'd lost count of the days he spent without talking to another person. He still had no idea why they were keeping him here, or who else was here.
