I hope you all had a nice restful weekend (my weekend is not completely down the drain but got taken down a couple of notches by a pretty bad panic attack, rendering Saturday non-existent and completely useless) But we are not going to let Saturday dampen our moods, Friday and Sunday were great and editing this for you all-total highlight! I mean I do keep saying chapters 11 and 12 are my heart ~ so, here we go!

Chapter 12: Mine

"Please make sure you make your way to the right side of the venue where we are displaying our donors for the night. I'd like to give a special thanks to the Uchiha family as always for their donation. They always choose to remain anonymous on the amount but suffice it to say it will make tonight's purpose of further providing and improving the children's hospital attainable"

The room filled with applause as the man by the podium tipped his glass over to Sasuke's table. The raven had managed to put a small smile on his face as he nodded back at the speaker and tipped his own flute his way.

"Ugh even when it comes to charity they have to come out on top, that family is so disgustingly perfect," Koji said low enough so only their table could hear, the girl next to him swatted him.

"You're just jealous" as her eyes fell on Sasuke "Doesn't looking at him make you just want to wish you could be his even if it's just for one night?"

"Maybe if you could get him away from Haku, he's so territorial" the girl next to her muttered

The food had been passed around as the man had been making his welcome speech at the front and thanking various donors that allowed the gathering tonight to 'happen' of course Naruto's attention had only been caught by the Uchiha name earlier.

He mostly poked his food around "I see the food isn't as appealing as the champagne" The redhead said softly next to him. A soft blush settled on his cheeks as he stabbed a piece of chicken and put it through his lips.

"I'm eating," he said softly

"Did your phone call not go well?" Naruto's hand stilled for a second, texting had been a disaster…but Sasuke had texted. He had seen him and cared…

"Is the other one not around today?" one of the girls asked "He's usually more approachable"

Were they talking about Itachi? And what was this about Haku being territorial?

"I see what you mean now about the snide comments" The blonde let out softly so only Gaara could hear, bypassing the phone call question.

"This must be record-breaking time for the table talk to already be about the one Uchiha in attendance, there were names of other companies and people that donated you know," Koji said as he took a sip of his champagne.

"Do you know him?" Naruto asked, unable to help himself, this guy sure seemed to have an issue with Sasuke being the center of attention.

"Oh, darling he doesn't know him, men just get competitive when someone around them pulls more game than they do, it's all about pride," The girl next to Koji said as said man rolled his eyes at her "If you look carefully at Koji here, you'll notice his eyes follow that beautiful assistant of his with heart-shaped eyes, I'm Ana," she said at last as her eyes settled on the blonde.

"They are rumored to be dating" The girl next to Ana said

"If it's only a rumor, why not give it a shot? What have you got to lose?" Naruto said, instigating, maybe he should walk around spotting any man that looked at Haku and encourage them to make a move…

Ana laughed "Why would he pick this one when he's got a billionaire right there" The blonde bit his lip.

"Does it always have to be about money?" Naruto asked

"Honey, look around, where did you find this one?" She asked Gaara

"Dial it down a notch or two Ana, like you don't remember when you were pulling up to the hospital in your little beat-up volvo at the beginning of our residency," Gaara said, his tone playful but there was also an edge of warning on it.

"I'm just saying we aim to keep climbing, just look at who you're here with," she told Naruto

"Gaara and I are not dating, but if we were it wouldn't be because of his money, sadly I'm a hopeless romantic, money or not, it's all about how you they make you feel"

Gaara resisted the urge to reach out and grab the blonde's hand, the need to pull him closer. As a smile settled on his face.

Ana's mouth stayed open for a couple of seconds "But money would make it easier for him to treat you right and give you the things you want"

"It would be a lie to say money wouldn't allow him to do more for me, but the little things sometimes matter more, like knowing what your favorite food is, or being able to tell your mood just by looking at you…" Naruto stopped for a second, thinking about how Sasuke always ordered his favorite snacks on their grocery list, and how he would never turn in unless he got to talk to Naruto about his day…

"He is a romantic, I like him," Koji said as he took one look at Ana's face and relished her speechless state.

Their attention was drawn back to the stage as the MC stepped back up to announce they would now be starting the date bids.

"Will you bid for me?" Gaara asked the blonde as he stood to head over to the stage where all the dates to be were gathering.

"Will they take a five-dollar bid?" The redhead grimaced and the blonde laughed "I'm sure there are other gals and pals out there dying to score a date with you, a good friend has got to know when to share"

"You better bring back the biggest bid to the table," Koji told Gaara as he tipped his champagne flute at the redhead.

"Yeah, flex those looks" The blonde added as he laughed at the retreating man who was shaking his head at them amused.

Naruto was fascinated as women and men desperately bid to score dates with the array of beautiful people on the stage. He wondered if he had the means to buy himself a date with Sasuke before all of this would he? He shook his head; he'd die of embarrassment before he was able to raise his hand and make a bid.

He'd sneak looks over to Sasuke's table here and there, unable to help himself, Haku seemed to be conversing seamlessly with everyone, just like Sasuke, but every once in a while, he'd look over to catch Sasuke's dark gaze on him.

Ana had moved over to take Gaara's seat "Look at you, chastising me and you can't help but look yourself"

The blonde blushed bright red, but he had a reason to look; he needed to keep his eyes on Haku. This was the first time he'd ever seen the two of them interact in person…and there was…a disturbing fluidity between the pair…

"I didn't mean to-" Naruto started but she laughed.

"I know what you meant; you probably thought I was bullying him, he knows I meant him no harm," she said as her eyes fell on Koji and softened slightly and realization hit the blonde…she liked him…she was also jealous of Haku, that's why she'd snapped at him because he's told Koji to go after the brunette…

"1000 dollars, how about 1200?" The MC said, and Naruto's head whipped back to the stage to see Gaara standing there with one of those smiles that would melt women anywhere they went together.

Ana whistled and laughed, next to the blonde, as an older lady wearing a very gaudy fuchsia dress hollered "1500" and the blonde could barely contain the laughter and amazement

"You really don't want to bid on him? His new date might whisk him away" Ana said next to him with a smirk.

"1700" Naruto's head turned over to the male voice.

"To have both men and women go nuts for you" Koji shook his head in disbelief.

"2000" Naruto choked on his drink, as he looked at a woman in a gown fitted so tight he was surprised she could even breathe. The blonde thought he'd get whiplash trying to keep up with the bids and their sources.

In the end, the woman with the tight gown had scored her date with the redhead at the cost of 6300 dollars...Naruto didn't even know how to react to what he was seeing and hearing. He wondered how much Sasuke would raise…not that he'd ever be willing to let the raven up in that stage. He'd be more than ok with Sasuke making a hefty donation instead of participating in the auction.

Naruto watched as the redhead walked down and hugged the woman, kissing her cheek and exchanging a couple of words with her. The dress hadn't managed to stop her airflow, but by the look of the blush on her face, the redhead's proximity nearly did.

"Watch out Sasuke, Haku's eyes are straying" Emeline, the CEO from craftcomsetics said across from him as she saw Haku's eyes scanning the redhead with appreciation. He'd give it to the blonde, he did have good taste in men. He knew how to pick them handsome and rich.

The raven turned to look at the redhead with contempt but not because Haku was supposedly checking him out, but because he could see from his table the way the redhead looked at Naruto, the way his eyes hung to the blonde's lips as Naruto spoke, the way his body tensed next to the blonde, and his eyes pooled with want, Sasuke knew, he knew the redhead tensed to stop himself from reaching out to touch the blonde.

Sasuke never bothered to correct people's assumptions about his relationship with Haku. He could deny it, but they would still believe what they wanted, they would still print the story that sold the most. But as he thought back to his fight with Naruto earlier that day, he realized that had been a mistake.

"Haku can look at whoever he wants" The brunette's attention returned to the raven next to him as Emeline bit her lip mischievously and took a sip of her champagne "I didn't know you two had that type of relationship if you ever want to add in a third I'd be game," She said to the pair, the other individuals on their table too busy engaged in a different conversation to hear her.

"He might say that, but Sasuke doesn't like to share," Haku said as he bumped his shoulder against the raven "How about a dance?"

"We should really be taking our leave" Sasuke muttered as politely as he could. He was really reaching his breaking point.

"You can't deny Haku a dance, he looks stunning tonight" Emeline added, and Sasuke bit the inside of his cheek as he stood and offered his hand to the brunette, leading him towards the dance floor.

"I don't like sharing?" he leaned down to whisper as the two started dancing.

"You don't, it was under the clause for our arrangement, for as long as I was involved with you, I wasn't allowed to see other men" He looked up at the raven, amusement all over his own eyes "I see Naruto didn't get the same contract"

The raven's hands tightened a bit around the brunette "Watch it" He let out warningly.

By the time the redhead returned to the table people were getting up and heading over to the dance floor.

"Was that the highest bid?" He asked smugly as he sat.

"What do you think she's going to expect from that date huh?" Naruto said laughing, his laugh growing louder as Koji made a circle with his thumb and pointer finger, sliding a finger through with a mischievous smile.

But Naruto's mirth died as he looked up to see the raven offering his hand to the brunette and walking him over to the dance floor.

Ana walked over and pulled Koji off his chair and over to the dance floor "We might be able to dance by them, maybe even stumble between the two"

Naruto's eyes followed the stunning pair, did they really need to dance? Was that part of networking too? He thought frustrated as all the dread and insecurities began unfurling inside of him again.

"You want to dance?" Gaara asked as he noticed the blonde's eyes on the dance floor.

Naruto willed his eyes away as the brunette's hands slid up the raven's shoulders and tried his best not to show emotion and put on his typical playful personality "My clubbing days didn't really cover waltzing"

The redhead offered Naruto a hand and when Naruto took it, he tugged at him softly leading him to the dance floor.

"I'll take the lead," he said, at last, he grabbed the blonde's hands and placed them on his shoulders, and his own slid down, leaving goosebumps in their wake, finally settling on the blonde's waist.

Gaara's green eyes were solely on Naruto's blue.

"This doesn't feel really friendly" Naruto finally muttered as a soft blush settled on his cheeks.

"Given that my hand is very much respectfully on your waist and not lower I would say it is" Gaara bean moving, taking the lead and guiding the blonde effortlessly, Naruto laughed, turning his eyes downcast and shaking his head softly.

The redhead had them do a turn particularly fast and the blonde giggled, instinctively clinging harder "I'll fall!" He said and Gaara stopped for a second.

When Naruto looked up, he spotted Haku's emerald dress fluttering beautifully with every turn, some of the people lingering about pointing at the pair and the reporters lucky enough to get a pass were taking pictures.

"Naruto" The redhead called, as he pulled the blonde closer willing him to look at him again, he hadn't been imagining things, Naruto kept looking at someone else all night long, he'd gone from lighthearted to near panic the moment the VIP's from the second floor made their way down and into their tables.

He resumed their movements slowly before he leaned down "Is he here?" He asked and Naruto stumbled. The redhead's hands held him tighter, helping him regain his balance.

"What do you mean?" Naruto asked

"This mystery lover of yours, is he here?" Naruto looked away from the redhead, biting his lower lip.

"He is," Gaara said, irritated "And he couldn't even grace you with a hello, a wave maybe, or did I miss it?" He said as his arms surrounded the blonde possessively, his hand falling from Naruto's waist to his lower back.

The blonde was rendered speechless for a second, he should step away, they were too close…Sasuke was right there…he looked past Gaara's shoulder to spot Haku leaning up on his tiptoes, his arms running up Sasuke's upper body and landing on his shoulders, as he whispered something.

For a second, he felt like he couldn't breathe. Why did they look like that, why did they make a picture-perfect image?

He couldn't even grace you with a hello

"I…" turned away back to Gaara "I—I'm sorry I really need to get out of here," he said at last as his eyes filled with emotion, he wasn't going to break down there…he wasn't going to give Haku that satisfaction.

But Gaara wouldn't release him from his hold, his free hand coming up to cup his cheek and his thumb wiping the lone tear that had managed to escape.

"He deserves to have someone take you away from right under him" He muttered as he leaned down.

But Sasuke had been looking, he'd been simmering in pure frustration as he saw the redhead move about the dance floor with his boyfriend.

Haku leaned up "Is he going home with you, or the redhead?" Haku whispered in his ear.

And before Sasuke knew what he was doing, he was moving, wading through the crowd, when he spotted the duo again the redhead had pulled the blonde closer for a kiss.

Over my dead body, he thought, as he finally reached the pair, his hand falling on Naruto's arm and turning him, pulling the blonde out of the redhead's grasp.

Naruto's teary eyes lifted to Sasuke's obsidian and just like that Sasuke's lips were on his, kissing him. When his lips left the blondes, his eyes lifted directing a hostile stare at the redhead Mine. He wanted to scream the thought, but he needed to get Naruto out here, out and away.

Naruto's eyes were wide, "Sasuke?"

"fuck " the raven muttered lowly as he grabbed Naruto's hand and led him out of the venue, Naruto could barely register the uproar and flashes from the cameras as the valet took Sasuke's ticket and brought the car around.

"Sasuke, where's Haku?"

"Sasuke, who is this?"

Sasuke's hands were gripping his waist pulling him close.

"Didn't he come with someone else?"

Once the car was brought around Sasuke opened the passenger door and led the dumbfounded blonde inside, ignoring the barrage of questions, and drove a couple of blocks until they reached a deserted street pulling into a parking garage.

Naruto turned to the raven "Why—" But he didn't get to finish his question as Sasuke was kissing him, strong, urgent, frustrated, he let go of the blonde's lips "Fuck, Naruto, fucking seriously?" he kissed him again, then he proceeded to kiss his way down Naruto's neck, his hand expertly pulling the blazer off and unbuttoning Naruto's shirt.

"Ah—Sasuke—wait—"

"No," The raven said and bit down the junction between Naruto's neck and shoulder

"Ah—Someone could see!"

"It's empty," Sasuke said as he opened his door and walked out, soon enough he was on Naruto's side opening his door "Backseat"

A beet-red Naruto stepped out and despite his mind telling him that this was crazy, he slid through the backseat, as Sasuke tore his blazer off and unbuttoned his pants before sliding in and closing the door.

The raven leaned in pulling the blonde close, he needed to touch him "Sasuke wait!" But the raven's eyes were pitch black as he pulled Naruto on top of him, his hand unbuttoning the blonde's pants.

"Were you going to let him?" He growled as he resumed his attack on Naruto's neck and his hand slid in to grasp Naruto's cock

"Wha—ah!" A particularly strong bite "Were you just going to let him kiss you Naruto?" Sasuke asked as he looked up at the blonde.

"Haku was technically groping you all over," Naruto countered, his eyes filling with tears again.

"Fuck we've been through this" The raven moved the blonde off him so he could fully pull his pants off "Haku is just my assistant and nothing else" He growled as he pulled the blonde back on top of him.

"And Gaara is my friend "

"Naruto please, that man doesn't want to be your friend, he wants this" Sasuke squeezed the blonde's ass. "And this" he kissed the blonde, his tongue exploring every bit of the blonde's mouth.

"But Gaara's never had me" Naruto ground down on the raven's erection "You and Haku have done this before," He said angrily, finally letting out the thought that had been replaying itself on loop for the last months.

Images of what Sasuke must have looked like ravaging the brunette ran through his head, as he spit on his fingers and moved them over to his entrance, he wanted Sasuke so much it hurt. Sasuke hurt, but he hurt so good. He felt like air.

He placed a finger in, and soon managed to get a second one in as he gasped, Sasuke ate up the sight of the disheveled blonde preparing himself.

"I want you," the raven said assertively, his moves becoming a little less harsh, a little less hastened, he softly kissed his way up Naruto's neck "You can't even begin to understand" He bucked himself up against Naruto who was working in a third finger.

Naruto pulled his fingers out and looked at Sasuke as the raven lined himself up against Naruto's entrance "How I just…fuck Naruto I want to own you " He pushed in as Naruto threw his head back "Mine" the raven voiced his thoughts from earlier as he thrust up meeting Naruto as he was coming down on him.

"I hate him, I don't really know him but I hate him" Naruto muttered angrily, pushing himself down harder.

"I love you "

"Only me?" The blonde whispered

"Naruto—ah" the blonde let his hips fall on a hard thrust.

"Only you" the raven answered, and Naruto leaned down to kiss those lips "I love you" he muttered against the raven's lips.

The rest was a blur as they both moved fluidly against each other until the blonde leaned down and bit the raven's shoulder as he came, triggering Sasuke's own climax. Sasuke's cock jumped inside Naruto at the breathy gasps the spent blonde was letting out against his shoulder.

When Naruto tried to lift himself so he could move off the raven, Sasuke's arms tightened around him pulling him down. Not yet. Sasuke thought as another breathless gasp fell from the blonde, who burrowed his head on the raven's neck taking in Sasuke's unique scent, feeling the rise and fall of his chest as he regained some semblance of composure.

"I was going to push him away" Naruto's voice finally rang through the silence.

Sasuke remembered the redhead leaning into Naruto and growled "Were you?"

"I was, you just got there first"

Naruto moved again, and this time around the raven allowed him to slip off his lap so he could try and get his underwear and slacks back on. The raven lifted his hips so he could slide his pants back up. Naruto sat with his back to the door and brought his legs up and over Sasuke's lap. His face was still flushed, and his lips swollen from the rough kisses.

Sasuke rubbed his face as he allowed it to fall back against the seat "I know you were angry…but did you have to show up with him?" He said softly and Naruto felt a hole open up inside of him at the raven's tone.

"Sasuke, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to…I wasn't trying to…" Naruto climbed on top of the raven again and slid his hands around him "I'm sorry, it wasn't like that at all, I really thought I was going elsewhere, and I know it's not an excuse, but I don't think he would have tried to kiss me if he hadn't seen my reaction to you and…" the blonde trailed off.

Sasuke's arms circled the blonde as he raised his head to look him in the eyes "How can I put those insecurities to rest Naruto? What can I do so you'll believe that we are not involved like that?"

Naruto bit his lip as he looked down "I know you love me, and I know you don't see Haku like that anymore…or at least I really want to believe you don't …but I'd be lying if I said all of the articles and feeds don't make me imagine you two together every single time..."

The raven took a breath and opened his mouth then closed it again, Naruto slid off Sasuke "Let's get home first, ok?" He blushed "We need to shower and change clothes"

The ride back to the penthouse was quiet, both men simmering in their thoughts, Sasuke looked sideways at Naruto who couldn't look at him, and centered his eyes on his lap instead.

When they got home, he let out a breath he didn't know he was holding when the blonde led them both to the shower. He was half afraid that Naruto would want to shower alone, that he'd continue to want to keep that space he'd set between them before Sasuke left that evening…Sasuke was so angry at himself for leaving…he knew it in his gut that he shouldn't have gone, and he still did it…

He turned sideways to see Naruto slipping his t-shirt over his head, and he walked up to hug the blonde from behind before he spoke "I shouldn't have left…I didn't know what to tell you, how to reply to the things you brought up, and work…work is something I can do well…"

Naruto frowned as he turned on the raven's arms to face him "Are you insinuating our relationship is something you don't do well?" The blonde asked softly.

Sasuke looked down, he tried his best for Naruto, he knew what he wanted to do for him, what he wanted to make him feel…but did he really know what he was doing? He wondered sometimes when he spent so much time away from Naruto if everything he did when he was there was enough to make up for the times he wasn't.

"Oh, Sasuke…" He whispered "Please don't think that, I know I said a lot of things but…you should know that I love you, you're so good to me, you take care of me, I know that in your own way what you do, you do thinking of me" The raven's arms hugged the blonde close as he placed his head on top of the blondes while taking a couple of breaths.

"Sasuke" Naruto called softly as he turned his head on Sasuke's chest into a more comfortable position "This whole Haku argument…it's not all on you, there is work that I need to do as well, and earlier today I was so jealous…and angry…that…that wasn't a conversation, it was an attack…and…I'm sorry"

Sasuke took a step back and cupped Naruto's cheeks between the palms of his hands as he leaned down sucking on his bottom lip softly "I was so jealous tonight" He muttered "Afraid really, the more I saw you two together…" he took a step back and turned around, not wanting Naruto to read though his expression as he ran his hands through his face.

Naruto placed his hands on the raven's back "Haku…he gets to do all of these things publicly with you while I…I know I said it was ok…but Sasuke, I also said it couldn't be forever, I know I want to be with you…be part of your life, all of your life, I want people to know we belong to each other"

The raven turned around "Earlier today…it sounded like you felt like my reluctance to make us public was about hiding you away, about giving Haku a privilege that you don't' have…but that's not it at all, I just…Naruto I didn't want the press digging into your personal life, dissecting it for entertainment, especially after you started struggling when you moved in–I didn't want to be the reason you got worse…and it's taken a lot out of me not to lose my resolve"

Naruto saw a multitude of emotions and conflict flicker through the raven's eyes "but tonight Gaara got to walk in there with you by his side, spend the night with you publicly, dance with you and I had to sit on the sidelines just watching, and, fuck, I'm furious that it took tonight to happen for me to understand how you must feel about me and Haku…" Sasuke pulled the blonde into a hug, gripping him so tight it almost hurt "I'm sorry, I wasn't really listening" The raven muttered "I'm so sorry "

Naruto started crying against the raven's chest as the wash of validation hit him. He wasn't crazy, he wasn't overreacting, he wasn't just being difficult. Sasuke understood, he was apologizing.

The raven's grip tightened even more, letting Naruto feels his feelings before he muttered "No more hiding, I have been meaning to bring it up as well.." Naruto took a step back, much calmer, looking up at Sasuke waiting for the raven to finish "Even though it's going to be a mess, I can't wait for those pictures to go public tomorrow" He blushed It suddenly dawned on him that they've taken pictures of Sasuke kissing him.

"I didn't mean to push you into it like that…" Naruto said softly, Sasuke grabbed his hand and led him over to the bed, pulling him over his lap.

"I'm not upset at you for it, the one who couldn't control himself tonight was me" Naruto blushed The way Sasuke had just…shown up…pulled him away…the way he'd just wanted to claim him...and he'd just taken him in a…

"Naruto?"

"It was a parking lot" the blonde finally said out loud as he averted his eyes from Sasuke, covering his face in embarrassment.

He'd been so turned on.

The raven pulled him flush against him "You were into it" Sasuke muttered and smirked as he flipped them climbing on top of the blonde. The need to feel and claim Naruto is still burning him. Tonight had been too close a call, he knew without a doubt that the blonde was his world, and he wouldn't ever risk losing him to someone else ever again.
