Henry watched his girlfriend intently as she pushed her pasta around the dish, taking a minuscule bite here and there but mostly just poking at it with her fork. She had barely said a word since they'd entered the restaurant and any kind of eye contact was being avoided at all costs. They had so much to learn about each other, but Henry already knew that if she was off her food, something must be pretty wrong.

"Elizabeth, are you going to talk to me?" Henry reached across the table to take her hand but she pulled it away and shook her head, her eyes firmly fixed on the food in front of her.

Henry was at a loss. They had just had the most amazing day together. Eating pastries in bed, having the most incredible sex ever, trashing his bed in the process and then Christmas gift shopping for each other. Everything had been so perfect and it felt like the right time to tell her exactly how he was feeling. But once again, just like she always seemed to do, she let him get just close enough and then pushed back hard, making him wonder what the hell was going through her mind.

With the silence showing no signs of being broken, Henry paid the bill and they left the restaurant, standing outside in the icy December evening not quite knowing what to do or say. Henry was feeling hurt and confused by her sudden coldness and every instinct was screaming at him to call her out on it. To demand to know why she was being so crazy. It was exhausting and he couldn't work her out. But then he thought back to Elizabeth's words to him a few days prior "I desperately don't want to push you away...So don't let me… Ok?" And he smiled to himself.

Elizabeth put on such a confident and cocky bravado, yet he could see the vulnerability within her. She was scared and confused and as much as it frustrated him at times to see her withdraw from him, he also saw her trying desperately to let him in and that was all he needed to keep the faith.

He figured trying to push her to talk about things wouldn't end well. She ran every time she felt under pressure and he wasn't prepared to risk that happening again, so decided to act as if nothing had been said. This was the girl he wanted. She was the one so he could wait to profess his love for her a while longer. He just had to have a little patience and wait for her to catch up.

As they walked back to the car, the atmosphere between them was awkward and Elizabeth looked so solemn. Her eyes had lost their sparkle and she was withdrawing further into herself with every passing second. Henry needed to try and bring her back and salvage the evening, so slipping his fingers between hers, he made a few suggestions.

"What do you fancy doing now? Go home and watch a movie? Go and grab a coffee and cake somewhere? Take a drive and have sex on the back seat of my car?" His tone was playful and he was rewarded when Elizabeth sniggered.

"Henry! We're not doing anything of the sort in your car." A tiny smile forced its way through and she rolled her eyes at him.

"Ohhhhkaaayyyyy…. Not really into the whole car thing, duly noted. So, what would you like to do this evening?"

"I need to go and get some clean clothes from my room and pick up a few books from the library if that's ok with you?"

Henry smiled "We can't go to the library tonight babe, it's shut. But we can do anything else you want. I'm happy as long as I'm with you."

Elizabeth narrowed her eyes at him "You don't need to blow smoke up my arse Henry. I'm not going to run again if that's what you think? I don't need my ego stroked."

Henry sighed internally. Elizabeth could go from light and happy to moody and sad so quickly, it was hard for him to keep up at times. But the smile remained on his face. "I'm not blowing smoke anywhere, although your arse really is a thing of beauty and is crying out to be stroked. And I'm glad you're not planning to run because then I'd have to run after you and I'm full of pasta."

"You're such a dork Henry McCord." She leaned against his arm and snuggled further into his body.

"Yeah, but you love me in spite of it." As soon as the words slipped out, Henry froze. He'd just mentioned the damn L word again, the very word that spooked her and he could feel her tense against him. But to his relief, her body relaxed quickly and she giggled.

"I kinda like you a little bit I guess. Come on, I'll race you to the car, you need to work off that pasta." As Elizabeth started running, she looked back over her shoulder at Henry and grinned. "And the library is never shut for me — I have tricks."

"Oh - I bet you do." Henry chased after her and scooped her off the ground. "And I can't wait to see them all."

The library had always been the pinnacle of college life for both Henry and Elizabeth. It's where they felt most at home, where they truly came to life and the place they'd first conversed with each other, well, after Henry's chivalrous act of catching Elizabeth in his arms, anyway.

For Elizabeth, books had been her solace. When her parents died, the only escape she had from the devastation and heartbreak of reality was immersing herself in the pages of a story that would take her far away. She could travel the world, fall in love, capture the magic and feel safe and secure… All while losing herself in the beauty of the literature.

Henry was a little different in his approach. He had always been fascinated by history and the scriptures and learnings that came with it. He was intrigued by the lives others had led and how he could learn from those that had walked a path before him.

It had left them both somewhat socially outcast at times. For most of their peers, college life was less about learning and far more about the social aspect. Drinking and partying taking precedence over study and securing a future. But with a tiny twist of fate, they had found each other and everything was starting to fall nicely into place.

Henry was like a kid in a candy store. He had never been in the library after hours before, he was very much a rule follower and had never even considered the possibility of sneaking in after dark. The place looked so huge when it was empty and the darkness was giving everything a magical quality that was exciting him.

Elizabeth had sourced the books she needed and was now watching Henry intently. She had always felt like such an outcast, being labelled the nerdy kid all through high school and keeping very much to herself once she started at UVA. But here was this incredibly sexy guy, who appeared to be really into her, geeking out over books in a deserted library…. And it was hot as fuck.

"Hey Henry - Do you know how hot you look right now?" She was standing at the end of the aisle, leaning against the theology section, running her fingers across the spines of the books.

Henry turned his head to look at her and a rush of arousal coursed through his body. The only light in the place was coming from the moonlight that shone through the large windows and Elizabeth looked positively radiant.

"Not nearly as hot as you look. My god you're beautiful." He held out his hand and gestured for her to move. "Come here."

Elizabeth sauntered over to where he was standing and wrapped her arms around his neck. "Did you want something Henry?"

With a sexy smile, Henry leaned in, taking her top lip between his and sucking gently. Every feeling was amplified in the dusky hues of the library, and Elizabeth wasted no time deepening the kiss. Their tongues were moving together, tickling and teasing as they settled into a perfect rhythm, hands roaming in the dark as passion led the way.

As Henry's large hands squeezed her ass hard, Elizabeth let out a soft mewl, arching her body as her hips pushed against his. Her fingers were threaded through his hair and the intensity of the kiss was making them both dizzy.

"Jesus Elizabeth— I think it's time we moved this to somewhere more appropriate." Henry was breathing deeply, pure lust dripping from his words.

Elizabeth smiled and at that moment Henry knew he was in trouble.

"Have you ever fucked in a library Henry?' She raised a brow at him, almost in a challenging way as she bit her lip.

Henry shook his head furiously, hoping the words would fall out on their own. "No! I don't do that kind of thing. Why, have you?" Henry wasn't entirely sure he wanted to know the answer. The thought of her with anyone else wasn't something he wished to entertain.

"Never. But there's a first time for everything, right?" Her lips were leaving a trail of hot kisses against his neck as her fingertips moved from his hair to fiddle with his belt.

"We can't Elizabeth. If we get caught we could be in so much trouble. We can be back at home in 10 minutes. I'm sure we can control ourselves until then." His body was begging for everything this girl wanted, but his head was spoiling it all with sense.

"Where's the fun in that? And I'm not sure I can control myself - But if you really don't want to —" She moved away from his body and walked backwards towards the table, her eyes never leaving his gaze.

Henry watched in awe as his girlfriend slipped her leggings off and stood in front of him, wearing nothing but an oversize sweater. Her legs appeared to go on for miles and she looked like heaven. Before he could stop her, the sweater was in a heap on the floor.

Henry was caught between wanting to jump on her right there and then and trying to convince her to put her clothes back on. But as her bra and panties joined the sweater and leggings, all blood rushed south and the decision was made for him.

In two long strides, Henry had her in his arms, lifting her onto the table and watching as she laid her naked body down. She was an absolute vision and all sense had left Henry and the blood had rushed south, making his jeans incredibly tight and uncomfortable.

Elizabeth propped herself up on her elbows and looked Henry up and down. "I'm laying here butt naked and you're fully dressed. This doesn't seem right to me Henry — Get them off."

"The day I met you, you seemed so angelic, Miss Adams. My god I was wrong. Butter wouldn't melt in your mouth, it would fucking sizzle."

"I just like getting what I want! And I want you — Right now!"

Henry shook his head in disbelief. This girl was incredible in every single way and he had no idea which forces had been at work to get them together, but he'd never been more grateful for anything in his life.

Dropping his jeans to the floor, Henry watched as Elizabeth traced her hands down her body, cupping her own breasts as her head tilted back and eyes slipped shut.

Henry groaned as he watched her "Good god — Don't start without me,"

Elizabeth fingers were dancing over her core, not quite touching but doing just enough to fire Henry's arousal into orbit. He had never seen anything more beautiful or erotic and he knew right then and there that she was it. He was going to build his life around this girl and never let her go.

Having finished undressing himself, Henry took care of the precautionary business and grabbed Elizabeth's wrists, pinning her arms above her head, leaning over her naked body as he eased her legs apart to stand between them. When her eyes fluttered open to see what he was doing, he was staring down at her with an expression she couldn't quite fathom. He was clearly impassioned, but there was something else. Something far deeper and it took her breath away. She could see pure love and it both terrified her and filled her full of a resounding sense of bliss.

With a shy smile, Elizabeth's confidence had faltered a little and she whispered "Henry — Are you ready?"

With a gentle nod, Henry slid into her, his mouth covering hers with a feverish intensity. Her hands were still pinned above her head as he held her captive beneath him. Her knees were squeezing his sides as his hips moved to a silent beat. The darkness that surrounded them gave legitimacy to their naughty tryst and they could barely hold themselves back from voicing their passion.

Elizabeth was writhing against the table with each hard thrust, moving quickly towards her peak as Henry's free hand roamed her body, covering every inch of skin he could reach. Neither of them had ever felt so free or connected to anyone as they did to each other. It was as if their bodies were fusing together and once that happened, there would be no turning back.

The whispered cries of euphoria were gaining momentum and volume.

"Ssshhhhhh baby, we'll get caught." If Henry's hands hadn't been otherwise occupied, he would have covered her mouth but he wasn't sure even that would have muffled the sounds she was making.

"Good God….. Ahhhhhhhh… FUCK." Elizabeth didn't give a damn what she was saying or how loud it was. All she was aware of was the fire raging between her legs and she was pretty sure she was about to explode.

Henry grinned, totally impressed with his own sexual prowess. He'd not had many sexual encounters before meeting Elizabeth, but the ones he did have were rather subdued and he'd convinced himself that the girls in question must have been good at faking it. But Elizabeth was out of control and he was loving every second.

Suddenly feeling empowered, Henry wrapped his arms underneath Elizabeth's body and lifted her up, carrying her over to the rows of books behind them. Slamming up against them as he pounded into her harder and faster with each push, hitting just the right spot inside her.

"Well look who's found his inner rebel." Her cheeky smile lit up her face and Henry was desperate to see her come apart.

His brain was way too foggy to speak. He had one focus, and that was Elizabeth and her pleasure. He hoisted her up to get just the right angle and then his fingers found her clit, rubbing hard and fast, catching her off guard.

Her eyes slammed shut and her nails grazed the skin on his shoulders as she succumbed to the inevitable. Her orgasm ripping through her body like a ravenous beast.

Henry watched every flicker of pleasure sweep across her features and let himself go, his hips jerking as her muscles contracted, squeezing him as her warmth surrounded him.

The library fell silent again, the only sound was their heavy breathing as they tried to compose themselves.

Henry eased Elizabeth's feet to the floor and they set about getting dressed, stealing playful, loving glances at each other. It had definitely been a first for both of them and it sure as hell wouldn't be the last.

As they made their exit as silently as they'd entered, they both realised that something had changed. There had been a seismic shift in their relationship and suddenly, everything felt different. As their eyes met and their fingers tangled together, the moonlight shining down on them in all their post coital glow…Henry laughed loudly.

"What's so funny?" Elizabeth had a perplexed expression which only amused Henry further.

"I can't figure you out. You were horrified by the suggestion of getting it on in the car, yet defiling the library is perfectly acceptable?" Henry pulled her close, unable to be away from her.

"What can I say - I've always loved books. Now, I believe there was a promise of coffee and cake?"

"Your wish is my command sweetheart. I really L….' Henry stopped himself just in time, took a breath and continued "I really like you a lot Elizabeth."

Elizabeth sheepishly looked at the floor for a. Moment and then gave him a playful shove "I really like you too… Now take me to the cake."
