And it goes on. Or as the announcer would say. "It's on!"

Honestly, when I wrote this chapter here, I really had to pull myself together not to laugh.

Yes, Alicia can turn back into a human, don't worry, and she will return to her world.

With the next chapter, Alicia returns to her world and the DLC arc then begins.

"Stop wait Darling!" said the Manager as he walked out of his office and ran after Alicia who went to the door that led her to the tower where the Devil would be waiting for her. However, she ignored him and continued walking until a hole appeared in front of her from which the manager came to stop her. "What's wrong Dice, can't you see I'm annoyed?" her eyes burned with anger and strongly resembled the devil's when he was angry. Now he shouldn't say anything wrong unless he wants to end up as a chew toy.

At least that's what her teeth looked like. They resembled wolf teeth. Sharp wolf teeth that could bite through anything. "Shall we talk about the opening dance in peace?" he asked her in a casual voice. Alicia calmed down a bit but she wasn't ready to talk to him yet. "Later maybe when my head stops hurting" immortality was getting to her. She still had to deal with it, so she disappeared in a puff of smoke and sat on the edge of the bed where the devil was waiting for her. He didn't want to ask but let her fall asleep lying next to him so she could rest. She had to be ready for the ball. But one thing was already bothering him. Why does King Dice want to dance the opening dance with her so badly? He planned the ball, but shouldn't he and Alicia open it? What are you up to, Dice? he asked himself, holding Alicia tightly in his arms.

He really hoped that Dice would not take Alicia away from him. Because if he did, he would forbid him access to his kingdom. The bracelet protected him from the hellfire. But without it, he burned within an hour. He didn't notice it but he was already starting to burn again. Only when Fawkes stood next to him he noticed it and calmed down again. "Psst Fawkes" the devil said softly to get the phoenix's attention from him. The latter looked at him and slowly walked towards him while the devil whispered something to him. "Watch what Dice is up to and let me know in time" Fawkes nodded and flew out of the balcony door that was half open.

Satisfied, he lay down next to Alicia who was fast asleep and still wearing her dress. Even though she didn't like dresses, she looked good in it. He puts his right arm over her chest and his head over hers. His heart beat stronger than before. It was joy. Joy to have finally found the one with whom he could be happy. None could give him what Alicia had.

They all just wanted power or luxury or whatever. It would not have been real love. Alicia didn't want any of that and she was happy anyway. But he didn't want to force her to stay here forever. She should be able to do things with the two brothers again and also be allowed to visit her world. After all, she was a student. But he would miss her when she was gone. But luckily he would know how to get to her. With a broad grin he looked at her and pressed her closer to him than before. Alicia reached for his arm and hugged it like a stuffed animal. Aww how cute. He gently stroked her cheek and slowly fell asleep.

"Can someone please stop the giant gingerbread man!" yelled Cuphead as he, Mugman and Baroness of Bon Bon stood on Whippet Creampup and ran after the awakened gingerbread man that Automaton and Dr. Karl were trying to stop before he could head for the exit and do any more damage. Automaton pushed the gingerbread man away with all his strength but he was stronger and continued towards the exit without any problems. "Aaaaallliiicccciiiaaa!" he roared in a deep voice. "Why does he always say her name?" wondered Mugman. They hadn't mentioned the name after all. Or had they?

He looks at his brother and the baroness. But they also did not know why he said her name. "Maybe he senses that she is in danger, like Whippet when I am not well," the Baroness explained to the two brothers. But that still wouldn't explain why he is so eager to go to Alicia. Unless it could be something else that's why he's reacting that way. "Hey Mongo, stop for a second!" Cuphead shouted at the gingerbread man, but he ignored him. "Mongo seriously?" Mugman asked him while Cuphead just smiled nervously. Whippet Creampup rolled his eyes and came closer and closer to the Gingerbread Man while Automaton tried to stop him.

"He needs a better name how about Mochi?" suggested Bon Bon. Both brothers thought and accepted the offer. "Hey Mochi!" now roared the Baroness. The gingerbread man stopped and turned to face them. Whippet Creampup gulped when he saw the big gingerbread man. "Yes master?" asked Mochi in a deep voice. Both brothers hid behind Bon Bon again when he was very close to them. "These two need your help to get to Alicia so the manager can't use the love potion against her" Mochi nodded. "So I want you to listen to them from now on" he nodded again and reached for the two brothers and put them on his shoulder.

"Woah that takes some Time getting used to it" said Cuphead as he leans on the gingerbread man's neck to keep from falling down. Mugman agreed with him and knelt down while grabbing onto the gingerbread man's shoulder. Mochi stood still and looked at the two brothers while Automaton exhaled from exertion. Everything was waiting for the command from the two brothers. "Well then, off to the casino before King Dice can enchant Alicia with the love potion!" roared Cuphead, pointing his finger in the direction of the exit where two of the Baroness' five subjects were standing.

It was Sargent Gumbo Gumbull and Kernel Von Pop talking and not even seeing the gingerbread man. "Oh man hopefully something will happen soon" said Kernel bored. Sargent was about to say something when he saw something behind Kernel and opened his mouth in shock as his gum balls falling out of it. "Is something wrong or why do you look so shocked?" asked Kernel when he saw the huge shadow and turned around. "Oh my licorice stick..." both dodged the foot of the gingerbread man who, despite his size, fit perfectly through the much too small door.

Both had their mouths wide open when they saw this and completely ignored Bon Bon and Dr. Karl with his robot. "You saw that too didn't you?" asked Sargent. Kernel just nodded, still keeping his mouth wide open in shock. The giant gingerbread man was now no longer in Sugar Land but on the second island. The way to the casino was still far away but that didn't bother both brothers, the doctor and the baroness who sat with the two brothers on the shoulder of the gingerbread man.

"I have to admit I like the view up here" Bon Bon said as she looked off into the distance. She didn't really see anything of the first island. But that wasn't so important now anyway. "Hey don't mess around Mochi we have to get to the casino!" yelled Mugman as the Gingerbread Man grabbed a wagon and played around with it. He shook the wagon around from which someone was looking. It was Porkrind. "Hey, what are you doing?" he asked, close to vomiting. Mochi noticed and put the wagon back on the ground. This calmed Porkrind down a lot, but his face turned green and he went back into his wagon.

"Let's hope it doesn't come to such an incident again" said Bon Bon. The five made their way to the third island while being followed by Beppi and Djimmi who were watching the whole thing.

Meanwhile, Alicia was pacing back and forth in the throne room, bored. Sleep did her good and she was fit again. But the devil asked her to wait in the throne room until he was back. Oh man, I hate waiting. She didn't like to wait for certain movies, video games and even for the doctor. Bored, she sat on her throne and tried to hold objects with her tail. It looked easy, but it was not. As a normal human you don't have a tail either. So the item kept falling down and she kept having to get up to get it.

But while she was bored, King Dice prepared tea for him and Alicia in his office. It was jasmine tea with a hint of cinnamon. He poured the tea into two teacups before putting the pot away and taking out the love potion from his jacket pocket. He removed the cork from which came little pink and red hearts that disappeared in the air. Slowly, he poured the potion into the left cup, from which a cloud of smoke came out, shaped like a heart and disappeared into the tea. "Oh fascinating" he said as he took the tray on which the two cups were before disappearing into the hole.

He was in the throne room and saw Alicia still lying bored on the throne to the side, not noticing him at first. Only when he came closer did she look at him, annoyed. "Some tea to calm down the Madame?". She didn't know if he was serious about the appellation or if it was just a joke. All the Imps and Demons called her either Queen or Majesty. But she said to everyone that Alicia would be ok. But she would have to get used to that. But a tea could not hurt. She nodded and was about to reach for the right teacup when King Dice intervened. "Sorry, but I took that one earlier to drink tea myself" Alicia rolled her eyes and took the other one. That's it darling, drink up. He took the other cup and watched her drink it with relish, feeling nothing from the love potion.

"Thanks Dice I feel a little better" she said and went to the two columns behind the throne to look at the place where the ball would take place later. The manager disappeared, leaving her alone with her thoughts. He had done his part and only had to wait for the perfect moment. The potion only works when he kisses her. Then she would fall in love with him. What am I doing? She didn't know whether she should really go to the ball or not. Actually, she didn't want to. Dancing with the manager Blech! If it were the devil or Cuphead or anyone else, she would have said yes. But no he had to come forward.

"Are you all right my love?" asked a voice behind her. She felt the warmth and arms around her chest. It was the devil snuggling up to her from behind. "I won't go" she said. The devil was confused until he realized what she meant "But, but, but our whole kingdom will be there to celebrate our coronation" he said in a stuttering voice. He wanted her to come with him. She opened the ball with the manager. "There is only one problem," she pointed to the manager who was receiving the guests in front of the entrance. A few former debtors were also present. But that did not make it better.

"I'm not going to dance with him" she freed herself from his embrace and leaned against the pillar next to them. The devil knew that she did not get along well with Dice. Why he himself did not know. He looked outside and saw Dice dancing in front of the guests and receiving applause. "Yeah... I admit he is a little different than usual..." Alicia looked at him with a questioning look. "but people change. and you should give him a second chance" For what? For almost undressing me or hiding me in his jacket pocket? She continued to pout and didn't even glance at the manager.

The devil saw that she did not give up so easily and tried another method. "Please try for me dearest" he wrapped himself around her in his dragon form as he said this. She could not ignore his puppy eyes. "Alright I'll give him one more chance" she said in a moaning voice. It was hard to say that. He lifted her to his face and kissed her on the mouth. Or rather the whole face. "Maybe we should kiss like this after all when you transform" She transformed into her wyvern form and was clearly taller than him. "Oho yes I like that" said the devil as he wriggled around her body and kissed her.

She could only hold herself with difficulty and toppled over backwards while the devil continued to kiss her. What they didn't realize right away was that Alicia had fallen on top of an Imp who was trying to free herself. "Oh, uh, sorry," she slowly stood up and looked at the crushed imp. He looked like he had been run over by a roller. But the Imp was fine when he returned to normal, staggering back and forth slightly. "Um, an important message from King Dice to Queen Alicia" she rolled her eyes and leaned down to hear the Imp's message. The manager wanted her to come to him and prepare for the ball. Annoyed, she flew out of the throne room and landed elegantly on the balcony leading to the manager's office.

The devil watched the whole thing and saw Fawkes fly towards him and land on his shoulder. "And what did you find out?" he asked the phoenix. The latter whispered in his ear. The message did not really please the devil.

Meanwhile, in Inkwell City. It's Night time. Two toons are sitting at a table enjoying their meal and were about to drink a cup of coffee when both cups started to shake. Both were confused until they suddenly heard the palm trees not far from them falling down one by one like Dominos. The ground shook and a few toons ran away from something big. Or that's what the giant shadow said. Both didn't stay sitting for long and ran away. Sally and Hilda almost ran into the two toons. "What the..." wondered Sally, confused and frightened at the same time. "Why is everyone suddenly running away in such a panic?" wondered Hilda as she suddenly saw Beppi on his horse Charlie running past them with Werner, Rippy and Croaks and Brineybeard on his horse.

"Run, run, run as fast as you can!" yelled the clown as he ran past both ladies. Both were only more confused as Hilda suddenly jerked. Hearing a scream, she flew up with her cloud to see exactly what was going on. "And what do you see Hilda?" asked Sally as Hilda landed next to her and pulled her onto her cloud. Sally was about to give herself a face palm when she saw the giant gingerbread man. "Bon Bon, you're not serious, are you?" wondered Hilda as she flew next to the gingerbread man who saw the running away toons as toy figures.

Both brothers saw the two ladies on the cloud. "Hey Hilda, Sally how are you?" asked Cuphead as he waved at them. "Pretty good but why are you on a giant gingerbread man causing panic?" asked Sally. Cuphead was about to answer the question when the gingerbread man bends over and holds something in his hands. It was a huge coffee cup. "No, you great stupid pastry!" said Mugman as Mochi tried to drink from the cup. But nothing came out. Sadly, he dropped the cup, which landed on a car. The toons in the building still remained inside. "Where are you going with the big one here?" asked Hilda. "To the casino to prevent Alicia from falling in love with the manager" both women were only more confused. "He has a love potion" Mugman added which made both women angry.

Mochi was also angry and saw a giant cardboard cutout of King Dice which he immediately destroyed with one blow. "Hey Mochi down here!" the gingerbread man looked down at Beppi and his horse. "Oh beautiful horse and funny clown!" he said and was about to bend down when Beppi rode off with his horse and the others on it. "That's right follow the beautiful horse and the funny clown!" Mochi followed him through the town. "The beautiful horse and the funny clown wants to play at the casino!".

As the group made their way to the casino, Alicia stood in front of the door leading outside to the ball, wearing her wedding dress. She wanted to run away but unfortunately she had to go out with the manager. Oh man what I wouldn't give for a sudden event. But the door behind her opened and the manager now stood next to her and offered her his arm which she unintentionally accepted.

He was grinning again. She couldn't ignore this grin no matter how hard she tried. It literally pissed her off. He opened the door to the ball and both were greeted by a spotlight that blinded Alicia slightly. She held her free arm in front of her face before getting used to the light and looking around carefully. She saw the two seats in front of the large dance floor. On the left one sat the devil and looked closely at both of them. Lilith was sitting not far from him with a few imps. At the bar behind the remaining tables next to the fountain worked a Trio of three different glasses. Ol' Ethan, Ginette and Rumulus were their names.

In addition to the three of them, there were two other casino employees. Pip and Dot two living dominoes. Pip was the upper part while Dot was the lower part of the domino. Pip also wears a blue 19th century style Stovepipe hat along with white gloves. Dot wears a gray skirt and red heels with white stockings. The two halves share a red bowtie. Both were sitting at one of the tables. On the stage that was behind the dance floor stood Pirouletta a anthropomorphic roulette wheel with a long nose, red lipstick, green arms and red legs.

She wears white gloves and a pair of yellow shoes with light yellow trims. Her body is metallic yellow with a light yellow ring on the waist and a helm with a large hole on the center on the top of her head. On her hips is the wheel, which has the colors of a roulette machine. The rest of the guests she recognized with difficulty. Rumor Honeybottoms, Cala Maria, Goopy and Cagney could be seen in the midst of the Imps and Demons and all stood up as Dice approached the stairs with her. An Imp flew onto the stage and grabbed the microphone. "Ladies and gentlemen! It is with great pride that we present Queen Alicia and tonight's Manager and Host Mr. King Dice!" the crowd clapped as they both slowly walked down the stairs.

But with every step they took, Alicia felt more uncomfortable. He could not help but wave and kiss to the other guests. Okay, I've had enough. The spotlight was no longer on them, so she could leave without being seen. She pulled herself out of the manager's arm, or tried to. "What's wrong with you Alicia?" he asked her. "What are you doing?" she asked him as he winked at another guest. "I'm just practicing my part Alicia" Your part? Only now she saw his lips which were colored purple. Did he... "Are you wearing lipstick?" she asked him. He forms his lips together into a kiss "Hmm with grape flavor. Would you like to try?" She had had enough and yanked her arm out of his and went up the stairs annoyed. The devil saw it.

He was glad that Alicia didn't let him tell her anything. "But Alice..." said Dice. What now Dice? he asked himself when he saw the nervous expression on his face. Pirouletta saw his nervous face and the sign he gave her. She went to the microphone and held it. She looks at Imp who was playing the piano. "C minor, put it in C minor". The latter nodded and played it the way she wanted. The spotlight shone on Pirouletta who turned and changed her appearance. She was now wearing a red dress. "Ladies and gentlemen. I dedicate this song to our opening dance..." the spotlight now shone on Alicia who turned annoyed to the stage. Damn. She couldn't escape.

"...which is danced by our queen Alicia and the manager of the casino King Dice" Dice grinned mischievously before turning to Alicia and extending a hand to her. "Alicia, your majesty. If you would do me the honor and dance with me?". She didn't really know and hesitated. But the looks of the other guests made her too nervous so she took the hand involuntarily. He leads her to the dance floor where they both started to dance while Pirouletta started to sing. Please tell me this is a joke. She didn't really hear the melody of Holding out for a hero.

Where have all the good men gone. And where are all the gods?

Both danced a tango. Despite the few dance lessons, Alicia danced excellently. "You can dance wonderfully darling" said the manager. "And since when can you dance tango aswell?" she asked him. The manager smiled when she asked him that. "Oh Alicia my dearest, if there is one thing I don't know it is that love is full of surprises. Wait what?

Pirouletta was now lying on the piano while the Imp continued to play. She held the microphone tightly in her hand.

Late at night I toss and turn. And I dream of what I need...

It was quiet for a moment. Everyone was looking either at the stage or at Alicia and King Dice. The devil was not really relaxed. Lilith saw it and already suspected why.

Hit it!

The stage changed as Pirouletta jumped from the piano and a chorus of Imps appeared behind her. They sang along to the melody while Pirouletta appeared in front of them.

I need a Hero!

Meanwhile outside the casino were the rest of the casino staff. Some were standing on the roof while others were downstairs. "What do we have to look for again?" asked a white rabbit wearing a blue tuxedo, a red bow tie and white gloves. It was Hopus Pocus. His large yellow eyes looked at the Person next to him. It was a big cigar. "We'll keep an eye out for the two brothers and stop them before they go into Casino," he explained with smoke coming out of his mouth. It was Mr. Wheezy.

"Okay and how?" asked Hopus Pocus. Both brothers were strong and had defeated them before. So how were they going to stop them? Wheezy just grinned at him before looking to Chips Bettigan. He is a stack of blue, yellow, and red poker chips wearing a cowboy hat. Between his yellow Eyes is a red nose. This bounces on a switch and a huge wall appeared in front of the casino on which the employees were now standing. "Yee-haw it looks like we got company mates" said Chips as he looked from the wall. Whizzy and Hopus followed him and saw what he meant.

Towards them came a huge gingerbread man on which sat both cup brothers, the Baroness and the Doctor followed by the others. "All right big fella! Let's crash this party!" said Cuphead as he held onto the gingerbread man's neck. Wheezy growled. Chips and the others prepared the catapults that appeared on the wall. "Man the catapults! Ready! Fire!" roared Wheezy as the others prepared and fired the catapults. Several fireballs flew at the group. Beppi and Hilda dodged the fireballs. But Mochi did not.

"Brace yourselves!" yelled Bon Bon as she held both brothers in her arms. "Ooh Purty!" said Mochi as the fireball hit his chest. "Not the gumdrop button!" yelled Dr. Karl as it came off Mochi's chest and landed in front of Mochi. This burned bluish and Mochi started to roar. Both Brothers, The Baroness and Dr. Karl covered their ears. The devil heard the roar as well as Alicia. Did I hear Godzilla? She hoped not, but when she saw the manager again, she really hoped something would happen. He kept approaching her mouth. Enraged, Mochi kicked the burning gumdrop toward the catapult that hit him. "Look out!" yelled Hopus as he pushed Mangosteen away. The catapult was destroyed and no longer usable. "Ha-ha! All right!" shouted Beppi with joy. The others who sat on Charlie with him also cheered with joy.

While outside the fight continued, King Dice and Alicia continued to dance without any problems. Only King Dice had a black rose in his mouth. The devil grabbed his face in annoyance and tried to stay loose. But Lilith noticed that there were problems. She approached him. "Is something wrong?" she asked him. But he only looked at her annoyed. While both danced on, Pirouletta gave her best and sang on.

Somewhere after midnight. In my wildest fantasy.

Mochi furiously approached the wall and dodged the incoming fireballs fired by the remaining catapults. Wheezy realized that he could not continue like this and changed tactics. "Go, Mochi! Go!" yelled Mugman as the last fireball was dodged. "Man the cauldrons!" roared Wheezy as the catapults disappeared and giant coffee cauldrons appeared in their place. Phear Lap a skeletal horse slammed open the milk barrels that also came up and filled them into the machinery.

Meanwhile, Mochi and the others had already reached the gate, which only had to be opened so that they could enter the casino. Mochi looks at Cuphead and the others. "After you, Mochi," said Mugman as Mochi began to break down the gate. "That's it Heave-ho!" yelled Cuphead as Mochi slowly tried to break down the gate until suddenly something white fell on the group. "Look out!", "Cuphead, Mugman, Bon Bon, Dr. Karl!" yelled the others as Mochi stood up. Wheezy and the others looked at the gingerbread man and had to laugh when they saw him and the others.

Cuphead, Mugman, Dr. Karl and Mochi now had a foam wig similar to that of the Baroness. The group was not very happy about it and looked annoyed at the casino staff. Mr. Wheezy knew that the load was useless. "More heat, less foam!" he yelled to the others who were preparing the next load. Meanwhile, Pirouletta continued to sing on stage. The devil looked even more annoyed than he already was. Because Dice played with the rose in his mouth and wanted to kiss Alicia immediately. But the closer he got to her mouth the further she moved away from him.

Up where the mountains meet the heavens above. Out where the lightning splits the sea.

"Heave! Ho!" roared Cuphead when Mochi was back at the gate and had already almost destroyed it. Wheezy saw it and got scared. "What's taking so long?!" he asked annoyed at the others as a new batch arrived that Hopus dumped down. Just in time Cuphead, Mugman and the Baroness ran to the opening Mochi had opened for them. "Nooooo!" roared Dr. Karl as he saw the liquid hit Mochi. His arms broke away from his body and threatened to break and close the gate again. But the three of them made it.

Through the wind and the chill and the rain. And the storm and the flood.

Dice spit the rose out of her mouth and leaned over Alicia as they slowly approached her two lip. He was ready to kiss her here and now. But Alicia was smart and reached for another rose she held in her mouth. This confused him. Once on the other side of the gate, Mugman and Bon Bon each pulled a switch, opening the gate for the others who were already waiting for them. Only the Doctor mourned his creation, which had fallen into a pool of lava and was now in danger of being disintegrated by it. "No!" he shouted as she continued to spread the lava and approached him.

But before he comes into contact with the lava, a robotic hand lifts him up. It was Automaton who flew up with him to the casino: "He needs me! Let me go!" the doctor yelled with tears in his eyes as his robot flew away. Beppi grabbed the two brothers and the baroness while the others jumped off and stopped the rest of the casino staff. But as soon as they were in the casino they were held up by the rest until Charlie jumped over the group and stopped. "What are you doing?" asked Cuphead as the Baroness jumped off and helped Beppi. Both brothers were still on the horse that Beppi sent off.

They ran along the corridor until Cuphead stopped. "Hoo Charlie" he said and looked at his brother who had now jumped off. "What are you doing Mugsy? You can't stop them by yourself?!" But Mugman ignored it and looked deep into his brother's eyes. "Go on Alicia needs you!" he yelled as Cuphead nodded and galloped on with Charlie. When he was gone, Mugman slowly turned around and saw the horde of casino employees running towards him, stopping abruptly in front of him.

They looked him in the eye and said "Awww" when they saw the huge googly eyes Mugman showed them before he attacked them with his finger gun drawn. "En garde!". With the Charge attack, he fought his way through the pack while Cuphead approached the door that led him to the ball.

Dice leaned over Alicia and was ready to kiss her when he took the rose from her mouth.

I need a Hero!

But before he could touch her lips the door to the casino burst open from where Cuphead arrived with Charlie and stopped the two. "Stop!" he yelled as attention was focused on him and not the two of them. "Hey, you! Get away from the devil's bride!" said Cuphead as he approached Dice who was now boiling with rage and blushing. Alicia was confused. "You couldn't let it go and go back to your old shack cup face" Dice said annoyed as he pulled Alicia to him and their two lips almost touched. Cuphead's eyes widened when he saw that. But before he could say anything Dice kissed Alicia.

"No!" roared Cuphead when he saw this. He was too late and the others who came through the door saw that it was already too late. Alicia was now in love with the manager. She grabbed him with both hands before giving him a headbutt that knocked the manger out. This confused the others.

"You son of a..." she growled as she looked at the manager now lying on the ground. The devil stood up and was now behind her. "Blech! What did he eat that made him stink out of his mouth like that?" she said, disgusted. The devil bent down to Dice and smelled him. "Seems to smell like a stinky potion to me," he said. Djimmi who also appeared grinned. So his trick had worked and fooled the manager. He was led into the casino by Pip and Dot. But before they disappeared with him, the devil quickly removed the bracelet.

"Take him to his room I'll take care of him later" said the devil as he turned to the two brothers. Both swallowed and already suspected something worse. But the devil handed them two bracelets, which the two immediately wore. "I think you need this more than my manager" both brothers thanked and sat down to one of the empty tables just like the other debtors. The celebration continued until it came to the coronation. The same Imp who had been the priest at their wedding presented the crowns to both of them. Alicia's crown was silver with red rubies. The shape of the crown resembled antlers or branches of a tree. The devil's crown looked normal except for the tips. These had claws and were decorated with diamonds.
