Since many asked if this is the last chapter, I have the following answer: No, it is only the end of the second arc.

We will start with the next chapter with the DLC Arc.

For those who are still confused about Alicia's soul contract. It was not a soul contract from the beginning but a marriage contract.

The chapters will not be free of spoilers, I can already say that. So if you don't like to be spoiled please read this at your own risk. Also, the names of the Moonshine Mob and the Howling Aces will be changed as soon as the names are made official.

The Cuphead Show adaptation will take a while because I'm still deciding which episodes to take out completely (Baby Bottle and Another Brother for example).

KG has also already said it correctly. The show adaptation will be similar to Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart. That the individual boss characters (Bon Bon, Brineybeard, Cala Maria etc.) react differently to Alicia and Cuppy than in this story here.

The rivals also appear in the show adaptation.

The celebration continued without any problems. Only there was no sign of Alicia and the devil. Even Cuphead and Mugman were confused and were looking for them. But the buffet had priority. If the devil was with her, she was safe. "Oh man this tastes so good you have to try it Cuphead" said Mugman as he put a load of mashed potatoes on his plate. The older one wandered over with his plate and put a blob on his plate before walking over to his table. Almost everyone sat on their table and ate something. Only a few stood and talked to each other. But what no one knew was that Alicia was not with the devil. The devil was looking for her.

He wanted to eat with her but after he had taken care of King Dice she was gone. And that worried him very much. Where are you Alicia? he asked himself when he saw the tip of a devil's tail behind a wall. There you are. Slowly he approached it and was lucky it was Alicia. However, she did not notice him. "So how does this work?" she had just gotten the trident, and yet she already wanted to know how it worked. The devil stood right behind her and watched the whole thing. She held the trident tightly in her hands and wanted to fire at a wall but nothing came out of the trident. "It doesn't work like that, my love" Alicia's ears dropped when she heard the voice behind her. She looked behind her and saw the devil.

"Thought you could escape me dearest" he held her chin and lifted it slightly so he could kiss her cheek. "Actually I didn't want to escape, I just wanted to practice a little" she said nervously as he looked her in the eye. She does not lie, he saw that in her eyes. But she shouldn't practice on an empty stomach. "Eat a little something first and then I'll teach you how to use the trident". She gladly accepted the offer. Both disappeared into a cloud of smoke and stood in front of the buffet. No one was waiting so she could take whatever she wanted without waiting.

Also, no one noticed that both suddenly appeared. The guests were busy with the food. The devil waited until Alicia was ready and went to her seat herself. He followed her every step of the way. She felt it but ignored it. Sure he was affectionate. But she had to return to her world. Whether he could visit her was not to be excluded. After all, Cuphead, Mugman and a few of the former debtors were already in her world. John took it well when he first saw both brothers but others would not react as he did. Let alone if they would react at all. In Space Jam and Who Framed Roger Rabbit, the toons were connected to the real world. But here it was different. The book served as a portal from her world to the world of Cuphead.

She didn't think about it and enjoyed her meal and the rest of the evening. Besides the food and the wonderful singing on stage, there were shows and dances. But Alicia was more interested in the training the devil had promised her. But he was now at the table where Cuphead and Mugman were sitting and discussed something with them. Should I... Yes she did and got up and disappeared before the devil even saw her. But he noticed it and followed her unobtrusively. Alicia, you really can't wait, can you? This time she went down the stairs that led to a training ground. This was used by the devil and his Imps for training. The demons had their own.

She walked on until she came to the square and conjured up her trident. "Alright" she exhaled and was startled when she suddenly stood upside down. Her legs were again wrapped by the devil's dragon's tail. She was about to free herself, but the devil turned her around and looked at her deeply and firmly. "Like I said Alicia you can't escape me" she looked annoyed again when he said that. He put her down and changed back to his normal form. "So you really want to learn how to use your trident I take it?", "Otherwise I guess I wouldn't be here" said Alicia rolling her eyes. The devil had to grin. His trident appeared in his left hand.

The size difference of her trident and his was not as big as the hands. But that didn't change the fact that both were just as strong. Slowly he approached her and lifted her chin slightly before kissing her on the mouth. "First you have to hold the trident properly" he helped her to hold the trident properly. "Both legs have to be outstretched or you'll fly off" she gulped. "Then you need to focus" he said. His head was now next to hers as he looked at her from the side. Alicia ignored it though. She was concentrating on a target she was going to fire. "Right, now fire," as if by magic, a bolt of lightning shot from her trident, pulverizing the target to ash.

She was startled by this. Not only that she had completely destroyed the target. No. She also slipped backwards a little when the lightning came out of her trident. "Okay that was good for the first time" he said to her and moves her closer to him. She was next to his chest again and heard his heart beating. "Do you think-" before she could say any more he pushed her face into his furry belly from which she tried to extricate herself. She heard his giggle and was not very pleased about it. "Haha very funny" she said annoyed as she stared at him. "Consider it a punishment that you left without telling me first" he said as he tried to push her into his furry belly again but this time she resisted and turned her head sideways.

"Smart," he said as he stroked her on the cheek. "Well, that's me" said Alicia, enjoying his warmth. He resembled a giant cuddly blanket when she leaned against him. He realized what she needed now and disappeared with her in a puff of smoke and lay on the bed with her. She was completely dozed off and fell fast asleep. The day was also exhausting for both of them. Not only the fight with the rivals or the potion that made her immortal. No, but also the thing with Dice has made her completely finished. She needed the rest very badly. And so did the devil. There is nothing better to fall asleep next to you.

Both of the devil's eyes slowly closed as he pulled Alicia to him. The celebration continued without the two of them. Cuphead and Mugman liked their new bracelets they got from the devil. These allowed them to visit Alicia without problems when she was in his realm. But they still wanted to do something with her. The spring festival was still going on. So they could visit it before Alicia returned to her world.

Hours passed as Alicia woke up. She was again in the arms of the devil. But she didn't mind, she liked it and didn't want to get up. But she had to go back to her world. Unfortunately. But she could return at any moment. If there were only one thing. The curse that keeps her imprisoned here. She hoped that the curse would disappear. Unwillingly, she got up and went to the balcony and looked into the distance. The devil was still asleep and did not notice that she was no longer lying next to him. Only when the balcony door creaked he woke up.

He wanted to reach for Alicia to pull her closer, but when he felt no one next to him, he panicked. Where is she? Where could she be? He threw down the covers to hope she hadn't shrunk. But when he heard the creaking again, he turned to the balcony and saw Alicia. Relieved that she was not far away, he got out of bed and went to her. He was almost behind her when he saw how sad she looked. Her ears were lowered again and she didn't seem to radiate joy. He already suspected why. She missed her homeworld very much. But she also didn't seem to want to leave this world.

Alicia did not feel the devil behind her. Only when his fur comes into contact with hers she noticed it. But she said nothing. She already suspected that he would soon get up. But when he pushed her closer to the balcony fence, she was confused. She did not defend herself but waited to see what would happen. He turned her around so that she was now looking at him and not at the landscape. His right arm leaned behind her back. He pulled her closer to him and cuddled with her. His tail knotted with hers. She was about to say something when he pulled her to him and hugged her. "Um..." she said as he continued to hug her.

But when she suddenly felt something around her neck she looked down and saw the Wolf necklace that the two brothers got for her. "How did you..." she looks up at him. He gently caressed her cheek. "As I said, I don't want my queen to be sad" he said and hugged her. She was happy and hugged him as well, dropping a tear of joy. He saw this and was happier than ever. "But..." he looks down at her as she said this. She seemed to be thinking again. He saw it and knew that she was feeling bad again. "...I don't want to go back to my world" she said, leaning her head against the side of his chest. He continued to stroke her back as he looked at her. He knew her pain. Her mental pain. Her life had not been easy and love had had little place in it until he had taken care of her.

He should have guessed that she didn't want to go. But he did not want to force her. She should decide for herself whether she should stay here or go. After all, she could return at any time. And he could visit her at any time. "Dearest you can return anytime" he whispered in her ear. They were no longer lowered. She already suspected that he would say that and hoped very much that he would not visit her right away. "Thank you" she said and cuddled more with him. He enjoyed it and walked her back to the bed where he lay on his back and she lay on his stomach again.

She looked at him and nudged his nose. He liked it and stroked behind her wolf ears so that she relaxed again and fell asleep. "Unfair" she said before she fell asleep. He just chuckled. He did not think about falling asleep yet. No. Looking at her and seeing how peacefully she slept was more important. He had heard nothing more from the rivals and was therefore no longer so worried about Alicia. But she was still worth a lot to him. And there was still one thing that made his stomach ache.

In her world, she could be killed by the rivals. And if she dies, the book loses its pages. That's why he had made a deal with the two brothers. He got access to the writing pad that served as a portal. "We'll let you do it, but you have to promise that none of the rivals will know about it," Cuphead said. The devil nodded and promised them both that no one would find out. Not even Dice or his finest demons knew about it. He did not want anything to happen to her. And if anyone should find out about it. He would hunt that person down and turn them to ashes.

Don't worry my love, no one will hurt you. He would feel it because she still had a tracker with which he could feel how she was doing. Slowly he stroked her back and gently wrapped his tail around her waist so she wouldn't wake up. She looked very peaceful when she slept and he wondered what she looked like when she slept in her world. Honestly, he had thought about visiting her right away when she was in her world. She would certainly be very pleased to have him with her again. Yes I will come visit her when she is in her world. That was already decided. But whether he stayed longer he did not know yet.

In the cottage, both brothers sat at the table in the kitchen and ate their breakfast with relish. There were eggs with bacon. Both finished their breakfast and were about to go to the sink when suddenly there was a knock at the front door. "Cuphead Mugman can you open the door" Elder Kettle called from upstairs. Mugman jumped from the chair while Cuphead took care of the plates. "I wonder who that could be" said Mugman as he opened the door and backed away, startled. Standing in front of the door was the devil, staring at him with his yellow eyes. "C-c-c-cuphead can you c-c-come to the f-f-f-front d-d-d-door" the older brother had just finished cleaning the plates as he walked to the front door.

"What is it Mugsy?" he asked his younger brother as he looked toward the front door, wincing briefly when he saw the devil. Fear could be seen on both of their faces. But when they saw someone behind him, the fear disappeared and faces of joy appeared. "Alicia!" both brothers seemed to shout with joy, completely ignoring the devil as they walked up to her and noticed one thing. Alicia looked like a normal human and not like a demon anymore. "Why are you-" "A human?" she finished Mugman's sentence. They both nodded, confused. "Well let's put it this way I can change my appearance" she said and changed into her demon form and then immediately back into her human form. Both brothers were amazed at this.

Their mouths were wide open. Alicia had to giggle when she saw that. Only the devil rolled his eyes. "Be that as it may, you two make sure that nothing happens to my queen, otherwise..." said the devil as he looked at both brothers with burning eyes. Both nodded and swallowed. "Hey don't worry I can take care of myself" she told him and kissed him on the cheek. The devil blushed when he felt the kiss. Both brothers nodded hysterically as the devil looked to them and disappeared. The trio was together again. "So what do we want to do?" said Alicia as she clapped her hands and held them together. Cuphead thought "We could go to the Spring Festival" "Now there should be more going on than before" added Mugman.

"Off to the festival then!" said Alicia as she walked ahead. Both brothers followed her and stood to her right and left respectively. Cuphead held her hand and was glad she was back with him and his brother. Arriving at the festival, Cuphead immediately dragged Alicia to a game booth. It was a shooting gallery and the owner seems to remember her. "Ah if it isn't our miracle shooter" he said. Alicia smiled and was about to say something when he handed her the rifle. It was a bit heavier than the one she had used last time.

"A little heavier than the other one" she said as the booth owner handed a rifle to another person. She saw in the corner of her eye that it was Bon Bon standing next to her and hitting one of the targets. She didn't hit it quite in the middle, unlike Alicia. "You're good," the baroness said as she unloaded the rifle and aimed at the next target. She fired and hit the center. Alicia unloaded her rifle and was amazed at how well and quickly the Baroness could unload and reload the rifle. Alicia still had a little trouble doing that, but she managed and hit the next targets in the middle. The Baroness was also good and managed to hit the other targets in the middle without any problems.

"Now I'm trying!" said Cuphead as he tried to hold the rifle in his arms. But the rifle was too heavy for him and he couldn't hold it straight if Alicia hadn't helped him hold the barrel. But unlike the Baroness and Alicia, the recoil of the weapon was stronger on him than on the two women. Before either knew it, the older brother was lying in a pile of apples that belonged to a stand across from the shooting range. The booth owner was not really pleased that his apples were spread everywhere. Mugman helped his brother up and apologized to the booth owner. He rolled his eyes and picked up the apples lying on the ground.

"Maybe I'd better stop shooting" said Cuphead as Alicia and Bon Bon laughed. He didn't notice it at first but an apple landed in his head and a leaf hung out of it. He blushed and tried to remove the apple, which didn't really work until the baroness removed it. "I could bake a good apple pie out of it". She took a handkerchief and cleaned the apple before putting it in her little basket that was lying on the ground in front of the booth with fresh carrots and other fruits and vegetables.

Bon Bon could not only make sweets themselves but also bake cakes well. She had a good talent for it. Alicia was also good at baking cakes but she preferred cooking. "Planning on baking more than just a cake I suppose?" wondered Alicia as Bon Bon walked over to them with the basket. She nodded and handed Alicia the tickets she had won. "You have to go with the seasons, my dear." Yep, that was true. In the fall and winter, Bon Bon had the biggest sales than the others because of Halloween and Christmas.

In spring and summer, sweets were not as in demand as cakes. "Well I got everything I wanted" said Bon Bon, waving after the three as she left the festival. Alicia and the others stayed and enjoyed themselves until the sun slowly set. She knew what that meant. The journey home. Oh man I am not happy. They spent the tickets they won so that both brothers could get something. It would only be fair. Cuphead had used his tickets to fetch a slingshot while Mugman had fetched two fishing rods. Matching red and blue. Alicia had just picked up a small dog figurine that looked very much like Duke.

The cottage was in sight when it was almost dark. "Well, here we are," Cuphead said, holding the door open for Alicia and Mugman. The latter closed the door while the others sat down on the couch and rested. Or they would if not for Alicia's gym bag lying on the couch with a note addressed to her. She took the note and lifted the gym bag before sitting down. Both brothers sat next to her and wanted to know what was written on it.

"And what does it say?" asked Mugman as he looked at her with googly eyes. Alicia looked down at him and smiled. "Nothing important" she said as she put the note in a side pocket of the gym bag and stroked his cheek. "You have to leave soon don't you?" asked Cuphead as he looked at her sadly. Only now could the three of them do something again. And still she had to go back. To her world. He didn't really like that. But he could always come back to visit her. Just as he and Mugman had done before. After all, they had the portal from their world to Alicia's world.

Alicia nodded at him. She didn't want to leave, but she had to and was about to ask about the writing pad when Cuphead appeared with it. Good it glowed. That was a good sign. But could she go inside was the next question. Last time it didn't work. "Don't worry I'll be back soon enough" she said as she picked up her gym bag and put one foot in the writing pad. It...worked. She was able to get back to her world. Slowly her legs disappeared and sank into the writing pad like quicksand. She waved to both brothers before disappearing completely and the writing pad closed.

She was back in her world and both brothers were looking at the writing pad when suddenly there was a knock on the door and something came from the bottom door slot. It was a white envelope addressed to Cuphead, Mugman and Alicia that had a yellow stamp with a compass imprint.

Once in her world, Alicia immediately looked at her smartphone. It was 10:00 p.m. and she was more than tired and exhausted. Fortunately, no one had written to her, so she could go to bed and sleep without any problems. How much I missed my bed. She immediately lay in her bed and fell asleep. She didn't take off her clothes except for her pants and shoes, of course. The rest was covered under the soft comforter. While Alicia snuggled in, the devil couldn't really sleep without her but just stare at the blanket. He missed her very much. So much so that he decided to leave immediately and go to her.

Both brothers were also in bed and sound asleep when the devil appeared in their bedroom looking for the portal. It was on the desk next to Mugman's bed. The devil approached him and opened it when he was blinded by the glow and closed it again. Mugman turned and looked away from the desk. Only Cuphead was still looking in that direction, but was fast asleep. He exhaled in relief and quickly opened the writing pad and disappeared into the light. The writing pad closed, but Cuphead woke up anyway and rubbed his eyes sleepily. "What the..." he looked around, but his eyes were fighting fatigue and he could only see everything in a blur. Shrugging his shoulders, he lay back down.

The Cuphead book opened and the devil came out of it. He looked around and found himself in Alicia's bedroom. The mirror in front of him showed him where she was and he turned to her. Slowly and on silent feet the devil walked towards the bed and grinned again. Finally he could see her human form. What she really looked like. And she looked just as beautiful as in her demon form. Slowly he lifted the covers to snuggle up to her.

She didn't feel anything because she was completely asleep. His arms wrapped around her chest as he pulled her to him. His left hand caressed her cheeks while he rested his chin on her head and slowly fell asleep. Finally he could fall asleep again. For she was now lying next to him.

It was the next morning when Alicia was woken up by her smartphone. She had not set an alarm but a message came for her. Who is writing to me so early in the morning? she asked herself as she slowly tried to open her eyes.

Only when she opened her eyes completely did she suddenly see a claw in front of her eyes that belonged to a furry arm. Wait, don't tell me he's... She felt a belly move up and down behind her and a heartbeat. Yes, he was in my world. The devil from Cuphead was lying next to her in bed. In her bed. In the real world. That didn't really surprise her. Honestly, she had already hoped that he would come. But not as fast as now. She thought he would give her at least one day of rest. But that was too much of a good thing. Well, luckily she was not alone.

She reached for her smartphone that was lying next to her and wanted to know who had written to her. It was her brother. "Hey, I guess you're still asleep but we had to cancel the men's trip because the others got food poisoning," John wrote. "It's really stupid and you were looking forward to it so much" Alicia wrote him back. The devil woke up from the typing noise and looks down to her as she waited for her brother's message.

She felt it and his hand reached for her chin as he lifted her up and kissed her. "Sleep well?" she asked him. He nodded and gently ran his claw through her hair. "I guess you could say that, my love," he said, now gently stroking her cheek as she looked at her smartphone. on which a new message appeared. "I know this might sound a little silly but I'll be at your place in half an hour and I'd like to spend the night. Is that possible?" John wrote to her. She was not sure what to write. The devil was in her world and would not just leave so quickly. John would be ticked off if he saw him like this. Or if anyone saw him like this. She luckily had the blinds down in her bedroom.

"No problem you can come I just have to prepare the couch because someone else is sleeping with me" she wrote him. He answered only with a thumbs up emoji. "Do we get visitors?" asked the devil. "Yes my brother is coming and..." Oh man how am I going to say this. She didn't even know if he could change like the toons from Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Anyway, Jessica Rabbit could adapt and wore real clothes and not drawn ones.

"Tell me, can you turn into a real person?" she just had to think of the movie Casper where he was a real person for a short moment at the end. The devil thought. "That's a piece of cake" before she knew it he was not a furry demon but a real human with a black Tuxedo, white shirt, black tie, Marlene pants in gray and a black Fedora with a white band. His face does not seem to have changed much, only his nose was more human and he wore a royal beard. His hairstyle was short and black just like his beard and he had yellow eyes. His hands touched her as he looked at her. "And how do you like me now, my Love?" he asked her. Alicia was amazed by the transformation that she could not close her mouth. "It looks beautiful" she said.

So the matter would be settled. But she did not want to lie here in bed when her brother came. So she got up and went to her closet when she noticed how the devil was now looking at her. "Um I'm going to go to the bathroom and change" she said as she disappeared with her spare clothes. The devil waited and looked around in the meantime. Her apartment was not as big as his bedroom, but that didn't seem to bother her.

He was glad that he was with her again and could see her world. Even if he was now a human and not a demon.
