Idea 41.

I'm open to people suggesting things like ships but remember I write Fem!Izuku (Izumi) x other girls and I'm more interested in some pairs than others. Rare pairs are very welcome, you all know me.

Relationships such as potential friends, mentors, or family members (adoption is fine)

Miscellaneous stuff like what school Izumi may attend or if she didn't, whether she's a hero student, criminal, or villain, key parts of her personality, hero and quirk names and story titles, what type of story it is, hell you can all even suggest where OFA goes, etc.

Instead of just putting out ideas, I also did a little writing for each one but that DOESN'T mean this beta writing would be in the story if said idea takes off.

Anyways, feel free to leave suggestions in the reviews and of course which idea they pertain to.

Enjoy, more notes at the end!

Title: (?)

*Izumi POV*

She was disappointed.

How could she not be when she had failed the U.A entrance exam?

It wasn't even that she had done poorly either, the greenette had actually only failed by a slight margin, but the people at her school still mocked her for it once they found out. It may have been obvious that Izumi's quirk could have had small applications to hero work but it certainly wasn't flashy or powerful. In fact, the green haired girl had what you would call a hard limit quirk.

No matter how much she trained it or tried applying it differently her quirk wouldn't get any stronger. It had always been the same since it manifested and after 10 years of desperately trying to make it something it wasn't then Izumi just had to accept that fact. It only worked through physical contact, and living things at that, so it was even more difficult just by those standards. However, her thoughts were interrupted however when she found herself being thrown into and alley and pushed against the wall as a knife was brought up to her neck.

"H-hey," a nervous man called to her with a subdued bark. "Whatever valuables you got just hand them over okay?" he demanded both in a threatening and reluctant manner but all the greenette could do was stare in stunned fear.

"Wait," Izumi tried, her heart rate rocketing, "Y-you don't want to-" she attempted but the man's eyes grew angry.

"Shut it and do what I told you!" he ordered, his gaze darting around anxiously, but Izumi's legs lost strength and she slid into a sitting position, still against the wall, as the man stood with the blade aimed at her.

"Hurry it up!" he hissed and Izumi put her hands up in panic.

"I really don't have much so-" the greenette went to explain though the man, having lost his patience, leaned down and gripped her collar while pressing the blade towards her face.

Izumi teared up in fear as he continued threatening her and her mind raced for what to do. The greenette wasn't able to really focus on whatever he was saying as her eyes trained on the knife and all of a sudden she felt her free hand touching the hand on her collar and her body moved on its own. Izumi activated her quirk and her right hand came up quickly and grabbed towards the blade's handle before thrusting it away. Scrambling away, the green haired girl swung her head back to see if he was going to chase her but she froze in place.

"What?" the man breathed, stumbling on his feet and Izumi gasped when she realized the weapon was now embedded in his stomach.

A split second was all it took for things to change.

Notes and Stuff

Quirk: Lapse (?)

I wanted to do a weaker quirk this time but one that you could still see had useful applications in a fight so I came up with a hard limit quirk. Through physical contact, Izumi can cause a 1 second lapse in someone's mind, think about when your mind goes blank for a moment, and it can only be used every 10 seconds. This is all it does and all it will ever do.

I think it'd be slightly less effective against those who work on instincts though since their body would just move for them but with a quirk like this I figured Izumi, whatever route she takes, would hyper focus on taking advantage of the brief opening which might lead her to being more of a brutal, dirty fighter and being okay with that.

Maybe the brutal vigilante route would be more the direction she's headed? At least initially I suppose.

Anyways, feel free to leave me suggestions in the reviews!
