Chapter 20
Haley paced back and force, worry overwhelming her. Pinhead has been missing for days and still no sign of him. She managed to find the box hidden away under where she slept. But after brushing away the dirt and solving it, the Hell Priest did not come. And that got her more worried. What could have happened that he did not come when the Lament Configuration was solved?
It was clear it was different with him being in the realm of the game. Usually, the Order of the Gash would appear with Pinhead when the box was solved, unless they were dead. Or it could be because they are in a different realm that things work differently. She knew it would since Pinhead was no longer in the Labyrinth of Leviathan's section of Hell with all the other cenobites.
"Sis, calm down. You are going to set yourself into another panic attack," Kelly said, grabbing her sister by the shoulders.
"...what if he's dead?" Haley asked, tears starting to run down her face. "... he did not come... when I solved the box... he always does."
"Shhh... we'll find him Hal," said Kelly, letting her sister hug her tightly. She sobbed into her sister's shirt, shaking badly.
"I bet Whisker has something to do with it," said Erica.
"Maybe. But we cannot underestimate him. He is too dangerous," said Leon. "We have to play this safe to avoid any fatalities."
"Agreed," said Kelly.
Wesker growled. Since the day the cenobite escaped, Pinhead had been lying unconscious in his cell. Nothing he or the Doctor did woke him up. Wesker was not sure why. And it was starting to annoy him greatly.
He kicked Pinhead's side, cracking some ribs. The Hell Priest was becoming useless to him now. Wesker stalked out of the cell, slamming the door behind him.
But Pinhead still did not move. He remained motionless, dead-like to the world around him. But he remained trapped in his mind. He could feel when Haley solved the box, but could not come to her. Not since he was essentially dead to the world with wounds that littered his body and left him so very weak.

Haley with the help of her other sister and Leatherface went after Pinhead when they had located where Pinhead was being held at, but it was still dodgy especially since where he was, he was alone aside from the fact in the building itself Jill and Ada were there. Haley did not count on the fact Samara would find them because technically she was dead and able to cross over places especially where any TV was located.
However, Wesker had underestimated them once more, however, the fact remained would he from this moment on?
"Pinhead!" Haley ran through the hallways to find her cenobite love. She searched every cell she came across, skidding to a stop when she smelt the heavy stench of blood and burnt flesh.
She ran to where she smelt it, throwing open the door. She gasped; a hand covered her mouth. She nearly threw up at the sight of the bloodied cell. Her love was chained up in the middle. She ran to him, bending down so she was more level with him.
Haley reached out, gently touching his face. It was strange seeing him without his nails in his head. Her legs felt wet and sticky from the blood on the floor, but she ignored it.
"Pinhead?" Haley asked, scared he was already dead.
She quickly undid the chains, catching him before he fell. She pulled the chains out, not getting a single noise from him. She held him close to her, lightly shaking him to get anything. He was still alive now that she could feel his heart beating, but it was faint.
"I've got you now. I am here," Haley whispered. "I'll get you home."
She called out for Caleb, the man appearing shortly. The man slung his gun over his shoulder before he picked the Hell Priest up. He easily balanced holding Pinhead and holding his gun with one hand in case it was needed.
"Let's get out of here," said Caleb. "They're waiting for us." He said as Samara also was at the ready to use her power if need be.
Haley watched as Pinhead remained unconscious. He did not move, did not do anything. After getting him back from Wesker's grasp, Haley had not left his side for days. She did not even really respond when Kelly grabbed her when she, Caleb, Erica, and Leatherface showed back up with Pinhead and even Claire, fully ruining Wesker's plan. At least that one.
Kelly had lectured her two younger sisters on just leaving like that without a word, hugging them tightly. They knew they scared their older sister when Erica gave her and Leon the slip to go get Pinhead when they found out where Wesker was at. However, if it had not been for Samara too following them going through TV's to be an ally if needed.
Caleb remained close to her, always guarding. He never let his guard down and always had his gun at the ready in case of an attack. No doubt Wesker will find out what happened. The man was not there when they infiltrated the building, just Ada and Jill, who were easily taken care of by Caleb and Leatherface while Erica teased the two as a distraction so Haley could slip in and find her love.
"I don't get why he isn't waking up," said Haley.
"Is this normal for a cenobite?" Caleb asked, turning his attention to her.
"No. I have never heard of this happening. His wounds are not healing either," Haley said, still haunted when she had finally found him. At least she was able to put the nails back in him so he looked like himself.
Pinhead wandered the corridors of the Labyrinth. He wasn't sure why he was there. His appearance showed him how he was left, bleeding wounds and torn leather. He wasn't sure where he was going, just walking.
"Priest."
Pinhead stopped at a familiar feminine voice. He stopped and turned, seeing someone he didn't think he would anymore.
Standing in front of him was a female cenobite, but she was not your typical one. She had the snout of a horse skull stitched to her face, her lower legs that of a horse with the animal's fur handing from her belt in the front and back. She had a mohawk running down her head and her leather outfit was more revealing than most cenobite clothes.
"Merkova," Pinhead greeted with a smile, offering himself to her for an embrace. "You are dead."
"Been a long-time love," Merkova said, walking up to him and nuzzling him as a form of a kiss. "Far too long."
"What are you doing here?" Pinhead asked.
"I'm here to put you on the right track," said Merkova. "Our time together may have come to an end thank to the Harrowers. But you have a new one with the mortal girl. She's waiting for you, you know."
"I am lost. I am not sure where to go," Pinhead admitted.
"Follow your heart. Let it lead you back to her," said Merkova. "Don't leave her waiting too long, Pinhead."
Before Pinhead could say anything more to his former lover, she disappeared. Then he felt heavy, pain radiating through his body. His world was starting to go dark again. The only thing on his mind now was Haley.
Haley got a light bulb moment. She grabbed the harpoon from Caleb's gun, quickly slicing her left wrist. Caleb shouted her name in surprise getting the attention of the others. Haley ignored him, going over to Pinhead.
She gently opened his mouth, letting the blood drip in. She remembered that sometimes blood could bring back someone, at least from what she's seen of the movies. So maybe it could heal his wounds as well. Or at least start to heal them.
There is not much on cenobites and even they don't know everything about themselves because of their God. Just that they were specific humans chosen that solved the puzzle box rather than getting killed or dragged to hell for infinite torment. And their purpose was to give those who opened the box ultimate pain and pleasure. But Haley was willing to give it a try.
She sighed in relief when she heard a soft groan, black eyes fluttering open to stare into her own blue ones. She laughed a bit, tears falling onto his face. Pinhead licked his lips, tasting the blood and tears. He sat up, only to fall back when Haley threw herself at him, her arms wrapping around him as she cried.
Pinhead was speechless before he too wrapped his arms around her. He carefully moved so his head was on her shoulder, mouth near her ear.
"Please, no tears. They are a waste of good suffering," Pinhead said softly, moving back to lick at them. Haley laughed softly at the line he said, but her tears didn't stop immediately.
"I'm so glad you're awake," Haley said. "I've missed you. I was so worried about you."
"I am here now with you," Pinhead said, licking up the last of her tears. "I'm safe."
"Foolish girl," Caleb growled, taking a piece of torn cloth, and grabbing her wrist, tying it around the wound to stop the bleeding.
"Well, it worked," said Haley, grinning. She snuggled back into Pinhead, giving him a kiss.
"Still a foolish girl," Caleb growled as Kelly and Leon both sighed.
"She's…" Leon started to say.
"A handful," Kelly said with a slight laugh.
"Is her older sister just as much a handful," Leon asked.
"Wouldn't you like to know?" Kelly asked in a sassy tone.
"Yeah, I would," Leon said with a laugh.
Oh, when the time was right, he would too, he thought. He liked her a lot!
