Kakashi and Sasuke searched everywhere in the Jonin's house but Naruto was nowhere to be found. Suddenly the door flew open. A certain pink haired kunoichi was standing there holding a certain blonde by the hair.
"Someone better explain and fast." she growled.
Hinata was standing next to them looking at Naruto worriedly.
"Oh boy," Sasuke groaned.
Was he really going to have to explain this again? Kakashi glanced at Sasuke as if urging him to explain.
He sighed, "Me and Naruto were fighting Itachi and Itachi used some kind of Jutsu turning Naruto into a kid. Now he's like this and his memories are gone and we don't know how long he'll be like this."
Sakura nodded, seeming to understand. She let go of Naruto's hair and walked towards Kakashi.
"Please fix him sensei. Naruto is a blockhead but he's also my friend! I don't want him to forget everything we've been through." Sakura started to tear up, "Please."
Kakashi nodded, "We are going to take him to a safe location and have Lady Tsunade check him over."
"Thank you."
Just then Hinata spoke up and made her presence known, "Um d-do you think we could enjoy him b-being this age for just a l-little while l-longer?"
Sasuke wasn't going to lie to himself. He kinda wished they could too, but the village needed Naruto and he wasn't of any use to them at this age. He shook his head sadly, receiving a look of disappointment from Hinata.
"O-okay Sasuke."
He smiled softly at her, "Thank you for understanding."
She smiled back at him.
Sasuke then turned his gaze to Naruto, "Why did you run off?"
Naruto folded his arms and pouted, "A man in a lollipop mask told me that he was my friend and asked me to follow him, so I did. Then Sakura-chan stepped in, who is way older than I remember."
Sasuke, Kakashi, and Sakura exchanged a worried glance. The man he was talking about was Obito Uchiha. If the Akatsuki was actually after Naruto and weren't just being stupid, then in this state the child could be in a lot of danger.
Kakashi's gaze hardened, "Hinata? I need you to go and warn Lady Tsunade that the Akatsuki are after Naruto again. Also update her on the current situation. Tell her that the Akatsuki may still be in the village and that the only member spotted was Itachi Uchiha. Understood?"
"Yes Kakashi Sensei!"
Hinata ran out the door to do as she was told.
He then turned to Sasuke and Sakura, "As for you two, I want you to look after Naruto. I know you two are capable of protecting him. Make sure he doesn't run off again. I will be back soon."
The older ninja turned to leave.
"Hey," Sasuke called, "Wouldn't it be safer to just reverse the Jutsu?It would save us a lot of time and effort."
"Well you're wrong about that. Since we don't know what this Jutsu is or any details for that matter it might take hours to just complete a proper analysis. I don't think we should take that kind of risk in our current state. We are the vulnerable ones, not them. Understood?"
"Yes Sensei!" Sasuke and Sakura replied in unison.
Kakashi left the building. Naruto was still sitting there, his arms folded but now he looked more confused than annoyed.
"Sasuke" Naruto whined.
"Hm?"
"Who's after me? Kakashi said something about someone being after me."
Sasuke hesitated, he didn't want to scare Naruto with the truth. That could cause panic. But lying to him would cause a long conversation that Sasuke didn't want to have if he figured it out. He was about to speak when Sakura stepped in.
"Naruto, even if someone is after you, which is just a hunch, we will never let them get you." she said gently.
Sasuke nodded his thanks to her. She smiled softly in return. Eventually Naruto got bored of just sitting and decided to take a nap.
"Hey Sakura, where did you find him anyway?" Sasuke asked when the child was asleep.
"Hinata and I were training together when I heard him crying. I checked to see what it was and sure enough I saw this airhead. He had gotten himself tangled in a thorn bush. I didn't know what was going on but she and I both knew it was Naruto so we helped him out and asked him where he had come from. He told us that you guys were watching him so we brought him here."
Sasuke nodded. He glanced down at Naruto and smiled. He picked up the small figure and carried him to Kakashi's room where he laid the kid in the bed. He walked back into the living room only to hear the window break in the other room. Him and Sakura bolted back into Kakashi's room and saw Naruto being carried out the window by none other than Deidara.
The Akatsuki male smiled, "Oh no. Sasuke Uchiha and Sakura Haruno. What will I do?"
"Give him back!" Sakura yelled.
Deidara threw a clay bird out of the window, "Katsu!"
The bird grew and he leaped onto it. Naruto suddenly woke up and screamed. He started kicking and yelling. Deidara almost dropped him quite a few times.
"Stop squirming, kid un."
Right after the blonde arsonist said that Naruto bit him in the arm as hard as he could, drawing blood and making Deidara yelp and let go. The child started falling to the ground. Sasuke got under him, prepared to catch him but someone else got to him first. Sasuke's eyes flew to the person who had yanked Naruto out of the air and saw Hidan holding him upside down.
"Hehe! You're one lucky kid! If the boss didn't need you so badly I'd sacrifice you to Jashin right now!"
"No you wouldn't you idiot."
A voice that could only be identified as Kakuzu's was heard from behind Sakura. Sasuke and the kunoichi whipped around to see the accountant standing behind them.
"Quit fighting. You're making me have to wait longer than needed to finish this job."
Sasori too?!
"You look quite frightened Sasuke. Do you like my Jutsu?"
Sasuke watched as Itachi and Kisame also emerged from the trees.
"I say we just eat the kid now"
"Boss said no Zetsu-san."
Tobi and Zetsu? If everyone else was here it was only a matter of time before . . .
"Everyone shut up."
The feminine voice came from above. The Leaf Village shinobi looked up to see Pein and Konan hovering above them.
Pein glared at Sasuke, "We will be taking the Demon-Fox Jinchuuriki with or without your permission. I suggest you just let him go with us instead of putting up a fight because there is no way you can fight us all."
Sakura put up her fists as if preparing for a massive fight. Sasuke activates his Sharingan. The Akatsuki stood in position behind Pein.
Pein chuckled, "Alright then, a battle it is!"
HellCat180 : Hmmm Maybe I should add less Sakura and more Hinata, cause we all know she's better.
Sasuke : You didn't have to say that! That makes you sound mean!
HellCat180 : I don't mean to come across that way! Sorry guys! I swear I'm not trying to be mean!
Naruto : Well you can always just ignore Sakura.
HellCat180 : But I want happy viewers!
