A/N: Researching banks, credit unions, etc. There has got to be a better way to store money. I'm way out of my element and am probably seeing the whole thing way bigger than it is, so we'll see after a week or two. It's just a little overwhelming. Anyways, hope everyone's having a great night.
Officer Jones quickly dropped down into the elevator car and apprehended the subdued alien invader. He removed the taser prongs before snapping a pair of cuffs onto the handrail and the drone's wrist. He'd be the only one to exit the elevator; this box would be its cell. Jones easily pressed the button the drone had risked everything to get to and was instantly free.
After leaving his prisoner in solitary confinement, Jones quietly crept over to the top of a staircase that led down into the center of the lobby. He stopped. A lone brute minor was standing before a painting. It was leaned in close, as if inspecting the material of the work itself.
Good eye, Jones thought.
That particular piece was actually series of dots. Or was it threaded? He couldn't remember. At any rate, Jones knew that a stun gun would only piss the brute off, if it managed to have any effect at all. He had to trya different tack. A Spartan could directly engage it in hand-to-hand combat. An ODST could assassinate it if they were careful enough. Even a Marine had the firepower to deal with a single Brute on their own. Even with the element of surprise, what could he do against such an opponent?
As he considered the difference in height between where both of them stood, one word floated to the forefront of his mind that seemed to answer his question.
Gravity.
"Pssst. Hey, over here!" Jones whispered.
