Elsewhere, a blanket of snow covers a landscape for miles around.
SIERRA NEVADA MOUNTAINS
Then suddenly, a Parasaurolophus rushed by bellowing as it ran as it was followed by an entire herd as a man riding on a horse pursuits after them.
"Hyah!" He yelled.
He then followed by 2 others as they chased after the herd as they started to catch up with the herd as leading the horseback riders was Owen Grady.
"Let's bring 'em home!" Owen yelled. "Hyah!"
The Parasaurolophus herd bellowed as they ran with the team of 3 right behind them. They soon started to catch up as Owen was soon in the midst of the herd as squealing was heard among them, and soon Owen saw one peeling off as he whistled to his horse.
"Hyah!" Owen yelled.
The herd continues running with the 2 other riders following as Owen went after the straggling Parasaurolophus. When he was close enough, he brought out his rope and starts loping it around and soon tossed it out as it loops around the dinosaur's head and the Parasaurolophus grunts as the rope pulls on it's neck.
Owen strained as he held onto the rope as he tries to tie a section around the saddlehorn, but then the Parasaurolophus nearly stumbles as it flees down a hill and Owen nearly lost the rope and quickly grabs it. And then he was pulled off his horse as the panicked dinosaur continues running as Owen held onto the rope groaning. Owen then saw a stump and quickly brought his foot out grabs hold of it with his feet coming to a stop.
The Parasaurolophus lurches back from the pull and bellows as it tries to get free.
Then the rope started to slip from Owen's grip.
"No." Owen said.
The rope slipped more as he turns to the panicking dinosaur as it squeals trying to get away.
Acting fast, Owen got to the stump and wraps the rope around it and secures it. He turns to the Parasaurolophus as it huffs and bellows still trying to get away still looking frighten.
"Okay. Come here." Owen said gently.
He held onto the rope as the Parasaurolophus continues struggling and bucking trying to get free.
"Okay." Owen grunted holding onto the rope nearing the dinosaur.
The Parasaurolophus continues huffing and bellowing as it tries to get free, and soon Owen held his left hand out as the dinosaur huffs and stops bellowing. And the Parasaurolophus looks to be calming down as it stares at him as it grunts softly and exhaled as Owen slowly went up to it.
"We're gonna get you someplace safe." Owen said softly.
He slowly nears the dinosaur just inches from it's snout.
"Hey." Owen said gently.
Soon, the Parasaurolophus purrs as Owen soon placed his hand on it's snout.
"There you go." Owen gently said. "There you go. Yeah."
Owen soon heads up the hill on his horse regrouping with the 2 other riders holding onto the rope with the Parasaurolophus in tow.
Later, they hiked through a forest near a river as they head to bring the Parasaurolophus to a safe place as it squealed and a horse neighed.
But nearby, on a hilltop, a group of 5 men watched them as leading was a man with a snake tattoo on the right side of his face.
Elsewhere in the mountainous forests, a young teenage girl named Maisie Lockwood chops a log in half with an axe. A bird squawks in the distance, and she soon placed one piece of the log on the stump as then a loud squawk was heard nearby as she gasped turning to the direction of forest she heard it.
Another squawking was heard as well as everything went silent soon. And Maisie soon got back to woodchopping and chops the piece in 2.
Later, Maisie was on a bike heading down a hill and turns on a trail leading to a bridge, and soon pedals across it.
As she pedals up the trail, a screech suddenly fills the air as Maisie looked to her right seeing a silhouette rushing through the forest. Maisie slows her bike to a stop as crows were heard cawing in the distance as she removes her hood and headphones off as she looked around.
Though she only saw a glimpse of it, but was actually familiar to her.
In the trees, soft purring and huffs were heard as the creatures stares back at her.
Maisie watches the treeline more and soon heads off.
Elsewhere in the forest, a pair of green cat-like eyes watches her leave and lightly croons. And soon rushed off leaving in a black flash.
In a nearby town, Olivia was sent on a supply trip, and Tom was with her after he managed to convinced her to come. And he invited Jun, D'Angelo and Alex to join in.
A month has pass since the Carnotaur and Tyrannosaurus incident in ICARIS. The Riders have been busy exploring the new Fire Realm, designing new fire suits made from dragon scales, and with the help of a Monstrous Nightmare. And encountered new dragons such as Flame Throwers, Fireworms, Fire Gronckles, a Catastrophic Quaken, and the relentless Sky Torcher that tried to take over the Crystal Realm. And Tom made amends with the Fault Ripper and it helped them defeat the Sky Torcher and it's pack of Flame Throwers.
And by an strain of unfortunate, they recently added a new member, Eugene. After he saw the Nightmare while with Buzzsaw, and his suspicions were correct after catching Jun and Alex sneaking a Fireworm back after it was stowaway by accident. And much of Jun's chagrin and annoyance, he eventually found the lair and their dragons and demands one of his own or threaten to expose the dragons, but during a confrontation with the Flame Throwers, he saved a new type of dragon called Deadly Spinner. A kind of 6-legged dragon with 3-fingered arms light blue coloration with purple specks and tan underside, spines running down it's back and a spearhead-like end at it's tail, and a long nose horn and 2 more on it's head. Eugene named him Webmaster, and the Riders started to accept him. And looks to be taking his role surprisingly well.
Before they left, Eugene was put on dragon-watching duty till they return, and given clear-but-strict instructions not to have the dragons leave the lair. And Eugene promised completely after Jun giving him a death glare.
But so far, no sign of the people who left the spearhead, or a shield made of some kind of metal Tom and Jun found. Chances are they're already long dead. But they recently found a capsule with the same dragon symbol, after opening it they found scrolls of old Norse writing that Jun is still trying to translate completely.
But Tom feels confident they're getting closer to learn about his connection with Thunder.
And speaking of Thunder, they have still yet to locate his family. But they could be getting close.
But after of what has happened, they are getting concern of how much longer they can keep the dragons a secret. And recently, strangely Wilma has announced that ICARIS has joined operations with Biosyn, which surprised everyone as well as Olivia and May as they're usually the first to receive news like this.
Right now, Olivia, Tom, Jun, D'Angelo and Alex were wandering through town gathering supplies before the flight back ICARIS in 2 days.
"Thanks again for letting us join you, Mrs. Kullersen." Jun said.
"Not a problem, Jun." Olivia said. "I could use the extra hands with this."
"Yep." D'Angelo said. "Something even for a military man needs help with."
Just outside the town, a forklift carrying a load of lumber in it's claw rolls of as workers were busy at a lumber yard. And Maisie pedals on by.
A truck carrying a flatbed of lumber drives off as Maisie pedals through the town.
The door of a bait shop opened as a bell rang as Maisie entered and looked for some supplies.
Unaware that Tom and Jun who entered earlier were grabbing a few things as well, as Tom was looking through some Swiss Army knifes. And a blue one got his attention.
As he was busy, Jun was looking around as Maisie placed the items she selected on the counter.
"Shouldn't you be at school?" The store owner asked Maisie as she rang the items.
"I'm homeschooled." Maisie assured.
"That so." The store owner said skeptic.
Jun turns to her as Maisie placed a Hersey's bar on the counter as well, and thought she was familiar in someway.
Later, Maisie was heading back through the lumber yard as well as Tom and Jun as they met up with D'Angelo, Alex and Olivia as it was a short-cut to the motel they were staying.
Snow gently fell as they walked as workers heard shouting indistinctly. Maisie soon turns the commotion as well as Tom's group as a groaning sound was heard as Maisie placed her bike down and they went over by the crowd of workers as some had their phones out as an Apatosaurus has wandered into the yard.
They all stared at the giant as then they lightly jumped as the Apatosaurus bellows out loudly.
"Aw, poor big guy." Jun said sympathetically.
"I know, it must be freezing out here for it." D'Angelo said feeling the same.
Maisie stared at the giant, and lightly pulls on a sleeve of a foreman next to her. He turns to her as she whispered indistinctly to him about something.
Soon, a worker lit up a flare and hands it to another on a water truck as a horn blares out as the Apatosaur turns towards the truck as the truck horn continues blaring out and slowly rolls forward as the worker waves the flare out.
They all watched as the Apatosaurus followed them, but then it looked back and bellows out softly. And behind a few stacks of lumber, a second Apatosaur climbs to it's feet as some snow fell off it's back and bellows as it ambles off to catch up.
Everyone watched as the 2 Apatosaurus followed the water truck leading them away from the mill.
At the cabin, Claire who recently returned got a fire started in a steel drum and Maisie appeared from the treeline on her bike as Claire turns to her. Maisie rolls towards the cabin placed her bike by the side rail of the steps.
"Hey." Claire called to her.
Maisie turns to her removing her headphones.
"Where you been?" Claire asked.
"Nowhere." Maisie bluffed. "What are you burning?"
Claire turns to the blankets she was holding.
"Oh, nothing." Claire said. "Just some old blankets. You sure you didn't go past the bridge?"
"That's the look you give me when you think I'm lying." Maisie said.
"Well, are you?" Claire asked.
"No."
"Maisie, you're literally looking everywhere but here." Claire said gesturing to her eyes.
"I said I didn't go past the bridge." Maisie said getting irritated.
She then entered inside the cabin as Claire followed as Maisie placed her pack on a couch and went to the woodstove.
"Maisie." Claire said. "Can we start over?" Not meaning to make her upset.
"I know, Claire." Maisie said placing firewood in the woodstove. "There are people out there who'll do anything to find me."
"I'm not angry." Claire said. "So that means you don't have to be angry."
"I'm not angry." Maisie said and closed the shove's door. "I can take care of myself."
"Hey." Claire said as Maisie walked to her room. "It's okay for us to depend on each other. That's what people do."
Maisie turned to her removing her hat. "How would I know what people do? The only people I've spoken to for the past 4 years are you both. Besides, I'm not even a real person anyway."
"What?" Claire asked.
"I was made from someone else." Maisie said. "I'm not me." She sat down on her bed and sighed.
Claire then went up to her.
"You're the only you who ever was." Claire said.
Maisie stared with an odd look.
"What?" Claire asked.
"No." Maisie chuckled.
"Was that, like, really corny?" Claire asked realizing what she said didn't helped.
"It was so corny." Maisie said.
"Can we keep that between us?" Claire asked.
"Can't promised that." Maisie said.
A vehicle was then heard approaching as they looked out the window and saw a Jeep Grand Wagoneer appeared. Maisie soon heads off as Claire sighed as the door opened.
"Hey, kid." Owen said affectionately.
Hi." Maisie greeted.
"Sorry I'm late." Owen said. "Bop, bop." He did a special handshake and chuckled. "Aw." They then hugged each other.
"You smell like horses." Maisie said as Claire appeared.
"Mm." Claire smiled.
"Oh, you like that, do you?" Owen inquired.
"I do, yeah." Claire said.
"Aw." Owen smiled.
They then kissed each other.
"Okay." Maisie said backing away. "Um... I'm gonna... make dinner."
They then turn to her as she heads inside.
"Everything okay?" Owen asked as Claire sighed.
"She went into town again." Claire said.
Owen lightly shook his head and sighed. "This kid. Did you talk to her?
"I tried." Claire said resting her head on his chest and sighed.
"I'll talk to her." Owen said.
Nearby in the treeline of the forest, gruff breathing was as something was watching them as they head into the cabin. It was the last of Owen's Velociraptors from the incident of Jurassic World, named Blue. And it looks she made this area her home territory.
Blue stares through the branches lightly purring as she soon turns and trots off lightly squawking.
Blue rushed through the forest as she soon slows to a halt by a small clearing chittering as she wanders and lightly squawks as she looks around the area. And then she went over to an abandoned school bus. She heads to an opening in it's side as she huffs and enters inside as her claws tapped the floor, and she chittered looking around. Blue chittered more as she then squawks out as if she was looking for something, she sniffs around chittering as she went up to an old tire with a litter of leaves as inside was an old empty eggshell as she chittered.
Then a chirp was heard as Blue looked back as an old chili can rolls near her as she stares at it, and she looks up.
As she was no longer alone.
Appearing behind a seat, a little Velociraptor juvenile only 4 feet long, having the same scale coloration and blue stripe as Blue chittered. As she was her daughter.
Blue stared at her offspring and chitters and squawks.
Soon, the 2 raptors were running through the forest as the juvenile squealed and pants as she keeps up with her mother.
Blue rushed through the forest as her daughter follows closely behind her as she then trips and rolls across the snow and got up and catches up as they got to a fallen tree as the youngster leaped onto the tree as Blue sniffs the air.
Shortly later, Blue has managed to track down a Snowshoe Hare grazing unaware of the 2 Raptors just 20 yards behind it.
Blue and her daughter stalked towards the rabbit as snowflakes flew towards them as the rabbit won't smell them. And the youngster follows her mother's steps as they slowly got closer.
The juvenile softly chittered as Blue lightly squawked not taking her eyes off the rabbit.
The Snowshoe Hare continues grazing as then suddenly a lone Gray Wolf comes out of nowhere and mauls the rabbit. Blue then snarls loudly, and then suddenly her daughter charges screeching as she then leaps into the air as the wolf looked as the young Raptor lands on it's shoulder and wrestled it to the ground rolling.
At their cabin, Owen was checking his Triumph Scrambler as the wolf's whimper was from a distance as he looked around. Claire heard it was well as a thud and echoing grunt was heard.
Towards late afternoon, Olivia, Tom, Jun and D'Angelo were heading back to the motel with 2 pepperoni pizzas for dinner as Alex stayed behind.
But as they near the door, they strangely heard Alex laughing.
"Oh, man!" Alex laughed.
They frowned as they turn to each other wondering what she was doing.
They head inside as Alex was laughing watching something on her tablet.
"Hey." Alex said catching her breath.
"Alex, what are you doing?" Tom asked.
"This is a good one." Alex said working her tablet as the TV turned on. "You gotta see this."
"What are you doing?" Olivia asked.
"All right, hold on." Alex said as the video rewinds as it looked like Eugene actually put on a job in a car wash cleaning it as it looks like Phillip had gave me a job to do. "Wait for it. Wait for it."
The video showed the spinning brush still on as Eugene was hosing the place, and then the hose got caught on them as Eugene held onto the hose trying to pull it free as he was pulled towards it.
"No, no, no, no, no!" Eugene cried and got caught in it.
"Now, Alex, Eugene could have been seriously injured." Olivia said as Jun shook her head of his typical behavior and Alex laughed.
"Help, help, help, help, help, help!" Eugene cried as he spun around.
"Listen, this is so... unprofessional." Jun said and started laughing.
Soon Tom and D'Angelo started laughing as well as they watched Eugene spun like a top.
"I'm not laughing." Jun laughed. "I'm not."
"Yes!" Alex laughed.
"Oh, okay." Tom said.
"I'm not laughing." Jun laughed.
Olivia shook her head as she too started laughing as well.
That evening at the cabin, Owen and Maisie sat outside by a campfire as he was showing her how to sharpen a stick with a knife.
"All right." Owen said. "Cut away from yourself."
He then spun his knife around and caught, and Maisie quickly did the same.
"Whoa." Owen said impressed.
"Whew." Claire said joining them. "Stone-cold."
"Right?" Owen said. "I would not want to mess with her."
Maisie then chuckled.
"No way." Claire said and sat down and sighed.
Owen then turns to her as Claire gestured to Maisie.
"Listen, kiddo, we should probably talk about you going to town." Owen said.
Maisie scoffed. "I don't think you understand how bad it is being trapped here."
"You're not trapped here." Owen said. "We just don't trust people."
"No, you just don't trust me." Maisie complained. "And then you expect me to trust you. Why can't I have my freedom?"
"Because you can't." Owen said.
Maisie stared all annoyed and then drops her knife on the ground and heads to the cabin.
"That went great." Owen said dryly.
"What is happening?" Claire asked and turned to him.
"She's 14." Owen said.
"Yeah." Claire said.
"You remember what that was like." Owen said.
"I do." Claire said seeing Maisie sat down on her bed. "We can't keep her here forever. If we don't figure this out, she's gonna go a lot farther than the bridge."
"If they find her, we're never gonna see her again." Owen said. "We got to protect her. That's our job. That's what we're gonna do."
"Protect her how?" Claire questioned. "By locking her inside?"
In her room, Maisie looks through her grandfather's old photobook.
"She's got questions."
Maisie looks at a page of Charlotte Lockwood when she was young, and another of her with Benjamin's former caretaker Iris.
"You know, questions we can't answer."
Maisie flips a few more pages showing Charlotte as a young adult by a Beetle car, and another photo of her reading by a window seat.
"She wants to know who she is. Who Charlotte Lockwood was."
Maisie turns to another photo of Charlotte standing by the main gate of Jurassic Park sometime before the 1993 incident. She then looked outside to Owen and Claire as distant bellowing was heard.
Elsewhere in the forest, a red truck is by a ledge about a half mile from the cabin.
"Tracked Grady to his house." A man said in a gruff tone. "You were right - the Raptor's got a juvenile."
It was the same man that was watching Owen earlier with the Parasaurolophus.
"But listen, there's something else." He said on a phone with someone. "I found that girl you've been after. Still waiting to make a move on the boy. But no sign on that creature you're asking for yet."
On the dashboard was a photo of Tom, and another showing a silhouette of a black aerial creature.
Later towards midnight at the motel, Tom's group were asleep as Tom stirred and woke up. He looked around but then noticed that Jun's bed was empty, and soon saw her outside at a bench.
He soon got out of bed and grabs his jacket and heads outside.
"Jun?" Tom said.
"Oh!" Jun quickly said and then wiped her face as if she was crying. "Hey, Tom."
"You okay?" Tom asked.
"Yeah, yeah." Jun said and sniffled a bit. "I'm fine."
But Tom wasn't convinced by the sound of her voice. "Okay. What's wrong?"
"Nothing." Jun said. "Everything's okay. That is all."
"Come on, we've known each other for almost 10 years." Tom said. "There's something else, I know it." He then next sat to her. "You can tell me."
Jun then sighed. "There's no stopping you, is there?"
"Well, considering that we know each other so well." Tom said.
"All right, look." Jun said. "I had another mother/daughter strain again just before we left."
"Really?" Tom stared. "What happened?"
"Just between us, right?" Jun asked.
Tom nodded.
"Well that CEO online course that Mom signed me up for, I haven't actually did any of them." Jun said.
"Not even one?" Tom asked.
"I tried, but I failed that class the first night after we found that shield." Jun explained. "And it wasn't until a week ago, that she finally found out. When she did, we got into this big fight that I'm sure Eugene heard the whole thing from his room." She then sighed. "I know you say to deflect her words, but this time, it went completely too far."
"What happened?" Tom asked.
"Towards the end of the argument, I finally lost control of my anger." Jun said now looking hurt. "And then I angrily snapped at her and said, "If I'm such a disappointment of a daughter to you, then I can't believe you're even my mother!". I even yelled saying why I know Dad doesn't talk to her anymore since I'm so much like him."
Tom was shocked by it. "Did she say anything?"
"No." Jun said shaking her head. "She only froze for a moment, and then left and went to her room. It wasn't until then that I realized what I said. We haven't spoken to each other since."
"Oh. I guess that explains now why she wasn't there when we left." Tom said realizing why May wasn't present when they left ICARIS.
"Yeah." Jun nodded. "I can't even bring myself to call or even text her that I'm sorry." She then sadly sighed. "I truly don't know what happened, Tom. We used to be so close. But now..." She wiped a tear away. "I wouldn't even be surprised if... I'd find my room all packed when we get home and she sends me away to my dad. I feel like I've destroyed our relationship completely now."
"I'm truly sorry you're in this mess, Jun." Tom said placing his hand over hers'. "I wish there was some way I could help."
"Thanks, Tom." Jun said and lightly smiled.
She then brought a photo out from her pocket and looks it at.
"What's that you got?" Tom asked.
"Oh, it's just an old picture." Jun said and hands it to him.
Tom looks at it, and then saw it was them when they were 5 at their first day of Kindergarten.
"You've actually held onto that all these years?" Tom said astounded.
"Yeah." Jun nodded. "The last thing I did each day in those 8 years was looking at it before bed. I've also held onto this."
She brought another photo out as Tom looked at it showed them when and on Halloween night, Tom dressed as blue Power Ranger, and Jun as Mulan.
"It was easy times back then." Jun said.
"Yeah." Tom said.
"Tom, I'm getting really worried now of how much longer of keeping the dragons a secret." Jun said. "I mean, Eugene now knows, Alex's moms seen one but thought it was a lizard. I'm afraid someone else will know soon."
"I-I know, Jun." Tom said. "I just need a little more time."
"We might not have that kind of time, Tom." Jun said. "Sledkin was this close to seeing Glowmer." She held her thumb and index half an inch apart. "We're all with you still, but I'm afraid it's gonna be sooner rather than later. This is getting too big a secret to be keeping. If we don't do something it could backfire terribly."
Tom was then uneasily quiet knowing she was right, the dragons' secret was nearly exposed twice, and there was no telling what would happen on a third time.
He then sighed. "Maybe you're right. I'll... try to think of something when we get back."
"Okay." Jun said. "We should tell Alex and D'Angelo tomorrow?"
"Maybe wait till we return home for a team meeting." Tom suggested.
"Okay." Jun said and got up. "And thanks for listening. I feel a little better getting that out of my chest."
"What are friends for." Tom smiled.
Jun then heads to the door. "You coming?"
"Yeah, just need a minute." Tom said.
"Okay." Jun said.
She then heads inside.
Tom then sighed as he thinks of how he was going to explain this to Alex and D'Angelo. He knows keeping the dragons' secret was for their safety, but now it was getting more challenging each day.
"Maybe Jun's right." Tom said to himself. "Maybe it is time."
He then noticed something on the ground, and saw the Kindergarten photo and grabs it as it must have slipped from Jun's hand when putting in her pocket. Tom then reached his pocket and brought a photo of him when he was 6 with both his parents just before his father left.
"Tom?" Olivia's voice said.
"Oh." Tom turns to her. "Hey, Mom."
"What are you doing out here?" Olivia asked.
"Just getting from fresh air." Tom said.
"Okay, but it's cold out." Olivia said. "Come on, it's still late."
"All right." Tom said.
Olivia then noticed the family photo in his hand. "Thinking about Dad, again?"
Tom turns the photo and sighed. "Yeah. I miss him."
"Me too." Olivia said. "And, I was meaning to say something."
"Yeah?" Tom said.
"A little birdie sorta told me about you and Jun at the cafe." Olivia said lightly smirking.
"Oh, uh, that, we were- we just..." Tom stuttered and cleared his throat. "We were just... having some hot chocolate and a little catching up."
"Relax, Tom." Olivia assured. "It's okay if you like her. The 2 of you are such good friends."
"I guess." Tom said.
"Say, what exactly were you trying to tell me back in the Sector 2 cave?" Olivia asked.
"Oh, that." Tom said. "Well, um... Um."
"Hey, if you're still not ready, it's okay." Olivia said.
"Thanks, Mom." Tom said. "I think I'll tell you sometime after we get back."
"Okay." Olivia said. "Let's get back inside before you catch a cold."
They went back inside, and were unaware of a pair of green cat-like eyes watching from the trees near the motel. The creature then rushed off and takes to the air vanishing into the night sky.
Back in ICARIS, Thunder, Wu and Wei, Plowhorn, Feathers and Webmaster were peacefully asleep in the lair.
By the rocks leading to the opening outside, Jun's shield sat by the side of the wall as well as Tom's lightning sword and the capsule they recently found. As the dragons were sleeping, a figure then slips into the cavern. And silently climbs down, and then grabs the capsule placing it in a bag as well as the sword and shield.
The figure turns to the sleeping dragons but soon ignores them as if they weren't the real task, and the figure soon climbs up the rocks and leaves as Webmaster stirred and woke up and looked around but saw nothing.
But soon thought it was nothing and he fell back asleep.

Next is where they cross paths.
And could say that 1 particular dragon species may be making an unexpected return. And you know that argument scene from Ride or Die, it had me thinking if Season 4 might do an even bigger fight, only ending with Jun snapping back at her mom. And I just assuming there's scrolls on that capsule Tom found. And yeah, I could not resist that part of Eugene caught in a spinning brush, something I saw from 9-1-1.
Speaking of which, last week I saw the Season 6 premiere of 9-1-1, showing the fire team 118 rescuing 2 pilots from a blimp at a football game. Good thing that blimps use helium these days instead of hydrogen, or things would have been really nasty. And that girl wired I did thought it might be a bomb, but was soon revealed to be an artificial heart, real close call that she was saved. And then one of those unexpected twists at the ending, when Athena and Bobby were facetiming her parents getting ready for a cruise, Athena's father steps out as then suddenly a minute later, a car suddenly speeds into the house. My best bet is that he had a heart attack, be finding out tonight.
Then the new Chicago premiere, Chicago Med Season 8 as Will and Dylan escaping the burning apartment in time.
