Chapter 10: Freedom and New Family

Janja's POV:

I watched with concern as I saw my daughter running out of the house, crying. Shit, this isn't good. She could hurt herself. Scar's eyes were burning with rage. I have never seen him this mad before. Mufasa was still pissed at Scar.

"We need to go after her, she could get hurt or worse," Lucky said with worry. "Okay, but first we need to change out of our outfits," Breeze said. The girls changed back into their normal clothes. "Ono, Anga, fly around the city and see if you can find her. Fuli, quickly catch up to her." Kion said. "Yep," Anga said and flew out of the house. Ono followed Anga and Fuli took off. Mufasa, Kion, Beshtie, and Bunga stayed back to hold Scar.

"Come on Janja, we need to find her," Jasiri said. "Okay," I said. I ran out with Jasiri and everyone else. As we were walking around the city, trying to find Lana, I saw she was walking out into the road. "Oh shit, she's gonna kill herself!" I shouted. "Lana, get out of the road!" Nala yelled. I don't think Lana could hear us because she stood right in front of a car.

"LANA!" Anga screamed. Anga dived down to catch her but she was too late. The car had hit her!

"Someone call 911!" April screamed. "I'm on it," Kelsey said and began dialing the number. "Hello, 911? My friend killed herself, she got hit by a car!" Kelsey yelled. Sadness and rage were flowing through me. I felt angry at Scar for causing my daughter's suicide and sad that she had died. I couldn't save her. I felt tears streaming down my face. Jasiri rubbed her head on mine as she cried too. Anga and Chloe hugged Lana tightly and cried. Blood from Lana's body was getting all over Anga's fur and Chloe's clothes but they didn't seem to care.

"Kelsey! Where is the damn ambulance?!" Anga yelled. "They're on their way," Kelsey said. "Scar is gonna pay for what he has done," I growled. Everyone was freaking out right now. "I am so sorry, I didn't see her there." The driver apologized. "It's not your fault. She wanted to die." Chloe said in between sobs. Chloe explained to the driver what happened. We decided not to send him to jail and press charges because it wasn't his fault. It was Scar's fault.

"Lana..." Emily whispered. A few minutes later, the ambulance arrived. They got her in the ambulance. Since we were family, we were allowed to ride in the ambulance with her. Once we got to the hospital, the doctors immediately took Lana to one of the emergency rooms. We all waited in the lobby. I began to cry again, so did everyone else.

"I really hope she is gonna be okay," Vitani said in between sobs. "Me too sis..." Kovu said. "Fucking hell, what is taking them so long?!" Anga shouted. I was surprised because I have never really heard Anga swear before.

"Patients, Anga. They are doing their best to bring her back." Sarabi said. "But what if she doesn't make it?" Anga said worriedly. "She will make it, trust me," Sarabi said. Just then, Kion, Beshtie, Bunga, and Mufasa rushed into the hospital. And two people I really don't wanna see right now. Scar and Zira.

"Hey, guys. We got here as soon as we could." Beshtie said. "Is Lana gonna be okay?" Beshtie asked. "That's what we're waiting to find out," Sarabi said. Simba grew angry when he noticed Scar and Zira. "What the fuck are they doing here?" Simba said angrily. "Calm down son. I talked with them and got them to realize what they were doing was wrong. They realized that after I told them Lana was gonna kill herself." Mufasa said. "Bullshit!" Simba yelled.

"Simba!" Nala shouted. Just then, the doctor walked up to us. "How is she? Please tell me she is alive." Chloe said. "She is alive, but she is very weak right now. She had a lot of blood loss and is very thin right now." The doctor said. We all sighed with reliving when we found out Lana was alive.

"Can we see her?" Anga asked. "Yes, you can." The doctor said. We all rushed into Lana's room.

Lana's POV:

I had a splitting headache when I woke up, and my vision was blurry. When I fully woke up, I noticed I was in a hospital room, with an IV in my arm and tubes up my nose. What happened? The last thing I remember was getting hit by a car... Did I survive? But how? I gasped when I saw my family and friends rushing into the room.

"Lana!" They cried. "G-Guys...?" I said weakly. "Oh, thank God you're okay! You had us worried sick!" Uru cried as she rubbed her head on my chest. "I'm sorry... I just couldn't stand another day in that room..." I said softly. "It's okay sweetie, we know why you did it," Uru said. I hugged Uru and she hugged me back. "Lana!" Janja and Jasiri, my other parents ran up to me.

"Mommy, Daddy," I said and hugged them. They cried and hugged me back. "Oh, Lana!" Anga said and hugged me as well. Chloe also hugged me. Then, Anga slapped me with her wing.

"Ow, what was that for?" I said and rubbed my cheek. "Don't you scare me like that again! You almost gave me a heart attack!" Anga shouted. "Sorry..." I apologized. "It's okay honey, we're just glad you're alright," Chloe said. "Also, Lana, there is someone who wants to talk to you," Nala said. "Who?" I asked. The door opened and Scar, my husband walked into the room. I began freaking out.

"Oh, hell no! Get him out!" I yelled. "Don't worry, he's not gonna hurt you. He's just gonna talk to you. Right, Scar?" Mufasa said. "Yes, I just wanna talk." Scar said. I sighed. "Okay, fine," I said. "We'll give you guys some time alone," Nala said. Just as everyone left, Anga stayed.

"Scar, I swear to God, if you hurt her, then you're dead," Anga said dangerously. "I won't hurt her, Anga." Scar said. "Good. You better not." Anga said. When Anga finished her threat, she left the room. Yeah, Anga is very overprotective of me. Scar walked up to me.

"Lana... I come to realize that what I was doing was wrong. I should have never abused you and forced you into marriage because of my jealousy." Scar said. I grew angry. "So it took me almost ending my life to realize that what you were doing was wrong?" I said with anger in my voice. "I know Lana. I'm really sorry, it was messed up of me for what I did to you. I hope you can forgive me and give me a second chance. But I understand if you are not able to." Scar said. I sighed. Should I really forgive him? I don't know. I thought for a minute. Forgive him? I don't know if I should, but I know it's what God would want me to do.

"Scar, I forgive you and I'm willing to give you a second chance," I said. "Really? You mean, you're willing to stay married to me and give me a second chance?" Scar asked. "Yes," I said. "Thanks, Lana." Scar said. Scar and I leaned in for a kiss. This kiss from him felt so real. Not like the ones he used to give me.

"When can I go home?" I asked. "They said you are able to go home tomorrow, and then you can do whatever you want with your friends." Scar said. "Really? Wow, thanks." I said. I smiled because I get to hang out with my friends tomorrow. Scar rubbed his head against mine. I felt myself getting tired.

In a few minutes, I fell into a deep sleep.

The next day, December 17th, 2021, I was released from the hospital, and I was able to go back home. "It feels good to be home," I said. "You said it," Kelsey said. "Me and Emily's mom are gonna fix up your room. Meanwhile, you can hang out with your friends." Scar said. "Okay. And Scar?" I asked. "Yeah?" Scar said. "Do you think you can take this shock collar off of me?" I asked. "Oh yeah, sure. Give me a second." Scar said. Scar left and came back with the key. As Scar was about to take it off of me, Ahadi stopped him. We looked at Ahadi with confusion.

"Dad, what are you doing?" Scar asked. "Keep it on her," Ahadi said. "What?" Scar and I said. "You heard me. I said, keep it on her. I may need to use it." Ahadi said. "But Dad..." Scar said. "No buts! Now keep it on her. Or else..." Ahadi said, drawing his claws out. "Okay, fine." Scar said worriedly. Scar gave him the key and the controller.

"Good," Ahadi said. With that, he left. I became worried, and so did Scar. "I'm sorry Lana." Scar said. "It's okay," I said. "Come on, let's go get some food, we can go to my place," Kelsey said. "Okay," I said. I held onto Chloe's hand as we walked to Kelsey's place. Kelsey's family owned a restaurant in her house. When we sat down and I introduced myself to her parents, her parents took our orders. I ordered the Shrimp Fried Rice with White Rice, and Kelsey ordered Japanese pizza for the girls.

"Thanks for taking me to your restaurant, Kelsey," I said. "No problem, Lana, it's on the house," Kelsey said. "Also, before I forget, we have something for you," Emily said. Emily took out an orange envelope and handed it to me.

"What's this?" I asked. "It's you're early Christmas Present," Emily said. I opened the envelope and gasped as I pulled out four adoption certificates.

"We wanted to wait till Christmas, but we figured now was a good time," Lily said. "You guys... Are adopting me?" I said. "Yes. We talked it over with your family. They thought it was a good idea for more protection after everything you went through." April said. "I don't know what to say... Wow, thanks, Mom... I mean, April." I said. "No, it's okay. You can call us Mom now." April said. "Okay. It's gonna be confusing to call you all mom though." I said.

"How about this, you can call me Mom," Emily said. "You can call me Mother," Kelsey said. "You can call me Mommy," Lily said. "And you can call me Mama," April said. "Okay," I said. "Chloe, did you know about this?" I asked. "Yes sweetie, I knew. They told me to keep it a secret." Chloe said. "Well, you did a good job with that," I said and laughed. "Thanks," Chloe said with a smile.

After we got our food and ate our food, we left the restaurant. "So, what do you wanna do now?" Emily asked me. "I wanna go to the movies," I said. "Alright, let's go," April said. We made our way to the movie theaters. When we got there, we looked at showtimes. I gasped when I saw showtime for Spider-Man: No way home. I almost forgot about that movie coming out with so much going on in my personal life.

"Hey, Spider-Man: No way home is out now, I wanna see that movie," I said. "Okay," April said. We got tickets for the movie in Imax. Once we got our tickets, we got our snacks then we sat down in the very back of the Imax theater, where I like to sit.

"I can't wait to see this movie," Lily said. "Me too," I said. "Hey Chloe, can you watch my shit? I need to use the bathroom." I said. "Sure honey," Chloe said. I got up and rushed to the bathroom. After I finished up in the bathroom, I rushed back into the movie theater. I sat back down next to Chloe and Emily.

"Thanks, Chloe," I said and took my food back. "You're welcome," Chloe said. "Did I miss anything?" I asked. "Chill girl, the trailers haven't even started yet," Kelsey said. "Okay, good," I said. I always like to get to the movies early because I hate missing the previews. After a while of talking and playing on our phones, the trailers started.

"Ooh yes!" I said excitedly. I saw some pretty good previews. We saw previews for The Unbreakable weight of Massive Talent, Uncharted, Morbius, Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, and some other good previews. Then, the movie started. The Marvel Studio's logo showed on the screen but the normal music didn't play.

Instead, the previous end credit scene from Spider-Man: Far From Home played while the logo was showing up. A while into the movie, I rested my head on Chloe's shoulder. My favorite fight scene in the movie was Doctor Strange VS Spider-Man. After Aunt May died, a portal opened up when Ned and MJ were trying to find Peter with Doctor Strange's portals. Spider-Man showed up but it wasn't the regular one. It was the Andrew Garfield Spider-Man that appeared through the portal. People cheered when they saw him on the screen. I cheered along with the crowd. After a few minutes, another Spider-Man came through the portal.

It was the Toby Mcquire Spider-Man that came through the portal. People cheered, so did I when he appeared through the portal. After a while, the final battle scene came on. The final battle scene was pretty good. After the movie was over, we stayed for the end credit scenes because Marvel Movies always have two end credit scenes. The first one I didn't really care about, but the second one was awesome. The second one was the trailer for the new Doctor Strange movie coming out next year.

When that finished, we got up and left the theater. "I really need to pee," I said. "Okay, we'll wait here," April said. I quickly rushed to the bathroom and relieved myself. It felt so good to pee. After I finished up my business, I met up with my parents.

"I'm ready to go," I said. "Okay," Chloe said. I took Chloe's hand, and we walked back home. After we had dinner, Scar walked up to me.

"Hi, Scar," I said. "Hi Lana, how was the movie?" Scar asked. "It was good," I said. "That's good, Emily's Mom and I finished up your room, you should come see." Scar said. "Okay," I said. I went with Scar to look at my room.

"Oh wow," I said when I saw my room. All of my things were back. My desk, my nightstand, my bookshelf, my Tv, my computer, my shelves, and my big chair that dangled from the ceiling. More stuff was added to my room. I saw Scar had added Avenger's character stickers on my walls from the Avenger movies. Everyone from the Avenger was there, including the Guardians of the Galaxy. I also saw a giant Captain Marvel sticker, a giant Black Widow sticker, and a giant Scarlet Witch sticker on my walls. There was also a big Avenger logo wall sticker above my bed. Glowing stars were on the celine and colorful lights were on all of the walls.

"Wow!" I said. "Do you like it?" Scar asked. "I love it!" I cried. "I'm glad." Scar said and kissed me. "Hey Anga, come see my room!" I shouted. Anga flew up to me and looked at my room. She gasped when she saw the new decorations.

"Wow Scar, did you really do this?" Anga said. "Yes, with Emily's mom's help." Scar said. "Thanks, Scar," I said. "You're welcome." Scar said. "Let's watch a movie," I said. "Okay, but first you should get ready for bed." Scar said. "Okay," I said. I went to the bathroom to get ready for bed. After I did that, I went back to my room and changed, then I laid down with Scar and Anga. We decided to watch RWBY: Volume 8 for a while. After some episodes, it was time for bed. I turned off the tv and we laid down.

"Goodnight, Scar, Anga," I said. "Goodnight." They said and kissed me. I cuddled with them. It felt good to snuggle with Anga again.

We all fell into a deep sleep.
