Chapter 11: The Library of Legends

A couple of days later, we had a celebration to celebrate my freedom and my adoption. We also were celebrating that we found all of the Glitter Force warriors. I gathered with my family and the girls in Emily's room.

"All right guys, let's hear it! Count off!" Emily said. "One!" Emily said. "Two!" Kelsey said. "Three!" Lily said. "Four!" April said. "Five!" Chloe said. "Six!" I said. "7!" Candy said excitedly and jumped down from the pinata. Confetti shot in the air as Candy dangled on a rope. We all laughed.

"The six legendary Glitter Force warriors are finally together!" Candy said happily. "Yeah!" We all said and clapped our hands. "Congrats on finding all the warriors," Fuli said. "Thanks, Fuli," I said. "It's pretty awesome that someone in our family is a superhero," Kiara said. "Yeah, I can't believe it myself either!" I said. "Candy, may I ask you something?" Chloe said. "Shoot!" Candy said. "What do we do as the Glitter Force?" Chloe asked.

"Be legendary, fight evil!" Candy said. "Well, that's obvious," Fuli said. "Yeah, but what do we have these magic powers for?" April asked. "Why to save the world, of course!" Candy said. "Anymore questions?" Candy said. "Any better answers?" Kelsey said. "There must be a reason we have these powers," Lily said. "Uh-uh!" Candy said. "Tell 'em the story you told me and Lana!" Emily said. "Yeah," I said. "Uhh..." Candy stuttered.

"Yeah, how come you won't tell us?" Kelsey said. "Well... There is a simple explanation..." Candy said nervously. "Huh?" We said. Candy climbed up the rope and hid into the pinata. "I can't tell you the story because I kinda forgot it." Candy said. "What?!" We all shouted. "Candy!" Emily yelled. "Oh great, what do we do now?" I said. "Hey, look over there," Bunga said and pointed at the window. "Huh?" I said and looked out the window. "What the hell is that?" Sarafina said. As the object got closer, it looked more like a book.

"Wha-? Hey is that a flying book?" Emily said. The book got closer. "It is!" Emily said. When the book got closer, the book hit me smack in the middle of my face. I fell down and landed on my back.

"Owie," I whined. "Lana!" Everyone said. "Are you okay?" Uru asked. "Not again!" I said. "Sorry, I overshot there a bit." A voice said. A creature, just like Candy jumped out of the book.

"Woah, what is that?" Kelsey asked. "Ow, my nose. Who are you?" I asked. "Pop is the name, and I'm here to-" He started but was interrupted when Candy jumped out of the pinata and attacked him. "Pop, it's you! I missed you so much big brother!" Candy cried and hugged him tightly. "Huh?" Kelsey said. "Did you just call him your brother?" Chloe said. Candy had tears streaming down her face.

"Big brother! I'm so happy to see you!" Candy sobbed. "Same here! C'mon, stop it, I'm getting soaked!" Pop said. "Ahem!" Emily said and cleared her throat.

"Sorry about that. As I was saying, my name is Pop. Welcome, my friends. I am happy to see you." Pop said and bowed. "Likewise," Emily said as we bowed back. "Pop, Pop, Pop! Do that thing with my ears! C'mon, do it!" Candy said. "Now? Okay! Turbo-turban! Ta-daaa!" Pop said and tied Candy's hair together. Candy laughed happily.

"Hey! You're a cute little guy, aren't ya?" Kelsey said. "Yeah, you're super cute," Kiara said. Pop snarled and glared at us. "Or not," Kelsey said. "Definitely not! I am a mighty warrior! I do not know the meaning of the word cute!" Pop said. "Your so feirce!" Lily said. "And handsome if you're not cute," Kovu said. "Fierce? Handsome? Ya think so?" Pop said. "Mmhm! Totally fierce and cool!" Lily said. "Cool? Really? I've never been called cool before." Pop said. Pop backed up and tripped. "Never." Pop said. "Exiting." He said. "My sister gets a little forgetful when she's excited. But don't worry, I can tell you everything you need to know about the Glitter Force. Candy, where's the Glitter Force handbook I gave you?" Pop asked Candy. Candy looked confused.

"Huh? Now, where did I put that?" Candy said. Pop gave out a shocked gasp. "Please don't tell me you lost it..." Pop said nervously. "Oh no," I said. "'Course not! Just gimme a minute! I know I used it to get here... Then I bumped into Emily and Lana..." Candy said. "I remember! I left it in that weird magical library you showed me!" Emily said. "Magical library?" Pop said. "You mean the Library of Legends?" Pop said. "You mean that place with all the books?" Sarabi said.

"Yeah, I think so? It had big trees growing around it!" Emily said. "That's the one. No human's ever seen it before. The good news is, the Library of Legends can be accessed from any kind of bookshelf if you know how." Pop said. "Great, so... we'll just go there and find the book!" Emily said. "Is there a secret password or something?" Lily asked. "Allow me to demonstrate. Watch..." Pop said. "This is interesting." Scar said. Pop slid the books to the right.

"Slide to the right... and slide to the left..." Pop said. Pop slid the books to the left. We all watched with amazement. A bright pink light is shown.

"Then open the secret portal." Pop said. As Pop slid the books open, the light shined even brighter. "Awesome!" I cried. "Ooh, I love this part!" Bunga said excitedly. "Oh yeah. This part's great!" Emily said. "Yeah?" Kelsey said. "Ready? Here we go!" Pop said. "Wait for me!" Candy said and jumped in the portal with Pop. One by one, we all jumped in the portal. I stayed behind with Chloe.

"C'mon slowpokes, hurry up!" Fuli called and jumped in. "Lana, are you sure about this?" Chloe said. "Yeah babe, it'll be fine," I said. "Okay then," Chloe said. I held onto Chloe's hand and we jumped into the portal. We all screamed as we fell down.

"This part's great, huh?" Emily said.

*In the Shadow Relm*

"All right, we'll draw for it," Ulric said. "High card wins." Brute said. Brute gave a disappointed whimper when he drawed the joker card.

"The winner gets to destroy the Glitter Force!" Brooha said. "Seriously?" Brooha said when she drew a joker. "Hah! Look's like the winner's me!" Ulric said but was disappointed when he drew a joker card as well. "Surprised? Don't be!" A voice said. "Who said that?!" Ulric shouted. "Who's there?!" Brute shouted. "You're not the only three jokers around here!" A voice said. Ulric growled as a bright light shined in there eyes.

"Hey, what's going on?!" Ulric shouted.

*Back in the Library of Legends*

We screamed as we fell to the ground. "Wait, I remember this part!" Emily cried as we did a hard landing. Lily and Scar were the only ones who landed on their feet. Zira landed on top of me.

"Are we there?" Lily asked. "Yeah! Guys, get off!" Emily said. "Zira, you're squishing me," I said. "Heh. Thanks for the cushion." Zira said and got off of me. Mufasa helped me up. "Thanks, bro," I said. "You're welcome. You good?" Mufasa said. "Yep," I said.

"This is the Library of Legends! Have you ever seen anything like it? It's like something out of a dream!" Emily said. "It's so beautiful," Sarafina said. "Agreed," Ono said. "It's a very calming and peaceful dream," Chloe said. "All the fairy tales in the universe are collected here." Pop explained. "All of them? Really?" Emily said. "Wow! Where do I get my Library card-" Emily tripped and fell on the ground.

"Mom!" I cried. "Careful! These books are fragile!" Candy said. "Hey, that's it!" Pop said and walked over to the book. "Oh, you're right! See, I told ya I'd find it!" Candy said. We all sat down. I sat next to Scar and Chloe and Anga sat on my shoulder.

"And now, for the story of the legendary Glitter Force!" Pop said. We all clapped our hands. "Yay, that's us!" Emily cheered. Pop opened the book.

"Once upon a time, in a place called-" Pop started. "Jubiland, right?" Emily said. "Yes." Pop said. "Oh, sorry. Keep going." Emily said. "Jubiland, the kingdom of happy endings, was a bright and peaceful place, until the day when Emporer Nogo, the ruler of the Shadow Relm, sent his evil minions to attack us. Our nobel queen, Euphoria." Pop said. "Ooh, I met her once! She was... Sorry!" Emily apologized. Pop continued. "Queen Euphoria fought to save Jubiland, but Emporer Nogo stole the source of her power, the magical Glitter Charms. Using his own dark magic, he turned the Charms into instruments of evil and gave them to his minions. Now you can talk." Pop said.

"Those red balls, they're what bring the Buffons to life, right?" Emily said. "Exactly! Our queen used the last of her power to seal Nogo in a magical spell, so the battle ended in a draw. There's only one way we can revive the queen and save Jubiland. And that's by defeating Nogo's minions, and getting all of the Glitter Charms back! One by one, you must collect the charms and place them in here." Pop explained.

"The charm chest!" Candy said. We saw a pink chest on the table. "We already have a few of them," Lily said. "Pop 'em in!" Emily said. We placed the charms into the chest. The charms began to glow.

"Woah!" Emily said. "When all of the Glitter Charms have been collected and the Charm Chest is full, Queen Euphoria will be revived." Pop explained. "Nice!" Kelsey said. "I'd say we're off to a good start," Lily said. "But we have a ways to go," Simba said. "Mmmhm." We said and nodded.

"But meanwhile, what about the Emperor's minions? What are they up to?" Chloe asked. Pop opened the book again.

"Glad you asked! While we're trying to revive the queen, they're trying to free the evil master from her spell." Pop said.

*Back in the Shadow Relm*

"Rascal! Who invited you?" Ulric said angrily. "No one! But I'm sure it was an oversight!" Rascal said. "So now, tell me, you three evil geniuses. What kind of brilliant plan are you cooking up?" Rascal asked. "Since when do we have to tell you our plans, you grinning goon?" Ulric said. "We're going to destroy the Glitter Force!" Brooha said. "And bring darkness and misery to the human world!" Ulric said.

"Suck up their negative energy!" Brute said. "And free Emperor Nogo from the queen's spell and ensure an unhappy ending for the whole planet earth!" Brooha said. "Oh this is so exciting, I can hardly wait! Brilliant! Just Brilliant! But don't just plan on planet earth! No, no, no. You're thinking too small. Why not an unhappy ending for the whole universe?" Rascal said.

*In the Library of Legends*

"The queen knew there was one way to save our world and yours. So, with the last of her energy, she gave my sister, Candy a very special mission." Pop said. "She said, 'Candy go and find the five Glitter Force warriors' and I said, leave it to me, your majesty! And so I came here to find you!" Candy said. "And then what? Go on, turn the page! I know what comes next!" Emily said excitedly. Candy turned the page and Glitter Lucky was on the next page.

"There I am!" Emily said. The page turned again and reviled me as Glitter Song. "Omg, there is me! Look!" I said excitedly. "And me! I rock!" Kelsey said. "And there's Lily! And April! And Chloe!" Emily said. "Keep going, what happens next?" Chloe asked. The page turned, revealing a blank page.

"There's nothing there!" We all cried. "It's blank!" Lily cried. "The rest of the book is blank because it hasn't been written yet. It is up to you to write the story now and give it an ending." Pop said. "Hope it's a happy one," Emily said.

*Back in the Shadow Relm*

"Of course, you do have to admit, you haven't had much luck so far. You couldn't beat the Glitter Force when there were just two or three of them! How will you beat all six?" Rascal said. "Huh? I could beat 50 of 'em!" Brute said. "I could beat 550 of them," Brooha said. "I could beat 555 of them!" Ulric said. "Such self-confidence is truly inspiring! Woo-hoo!" Rascal said. "I've got a pair! And I know you can't beat that 'cause I stacked the deck! Look out earth, here I come!" Brooha said and flew out of the Shadow Relm.

"I hope you give them a good thrashing!" Rascal called.

*Back in the Library of Legends*

"So, it's a race against time... We must find the Glitter Charms and save the queen before those villans can revive their master." Chloe said. "With the fate of the two worlds in the balance," April said. "We're just like superheroes in a real-life fairy tale!" Emily said. "More than just heros, we're like superheros!" Lily said. "You got superheros on the brain, don't ya?" Kelsey said.

"We're counting on you." Pop said. "We are!" Candy said. "Alright! C'mon guys. Let's get cracking!" Kelsey said. "Before we do anything, there's something important we have to decide," Emily said. "What's that?" Kelsey asked. "A catchphrase!" Emily said. "Huh? A what?" Kelsey asked. "You know, some kind of inspirational slogan we can all shout out together as a team! As we glitterize and go into battle against the enemy!" Emily said.

"You're kidding, right?" Kelsey said. "No," Emily said. "You can't be serious," April said. "Mom, do we really have to?" I whined. "What? I thought it was a good idea!" Emily said, crying. Lily tapped Emily's shoulder.

"It's awesome!" Lily said. "You mean it? You get it?" Emily said happily. "You've gotta have a catchphrase! Like 'one for all and all for one!' or 'Victory or death!'" Emily said excitedly. "Actually, a catchphrase might help strengthen our team spirit," Chloe said. "Do you really have to come up with one right now?" Pop said. April, Kelsey, and I were annoyed. "C'mon guys, what do you say?" Emily said. "All right!" April said. "Okay, let's do this!" Kelsey said. "Yeah!" I agreed. We all cheered.

"Ready? Let's try it!" Emily said. "It's us of course, the Glitter Force!" We all shouted. "Well?" Emily said. "It's not exactly brilliant," Kelsey said. "That's the tenth one they've come up with and they're not getting any better." Pop said.

Meanwhile, Brooha arrived at a park and landed on the ground. "This spot will do nicely! Hehe or should I say badly! Unhappy ending time!" Brooha said. Brooha got out a book and squirted black ink. "Sorry world, but your future is about to be rewritten! Ha!" Brooha said and splatted ink on the book. The sky turned green and everyone was under the spell.

"Haha! Oh, just look at all the lovely negative energy. Just what I need to turn the Wheel of Doom and revive my master, Nogo, Emperor of Evil!" Brooha said.

"The minions of the Shadow Relm are attacking!" Pop said. "Huh?" We all said. "Looks like the catchphrase will have to wait," Chloe said. "Right! Let's get 'em!" Emily said. "Use the magical portal to take you there!" Pop said. "Right! How?" Emily asked. "First, focus your mind on the place you want to go to." Pop said. "Where's that?" I asked. "Let's think of a place where everyone has lost all hope," Chloe said. "Oh, okay. Hmm." I said.

We closed our eyes and focused on the place we wanted to go to.

"Second, take a book from the shelf." Pop said. "Okay," Chloe said and took a book from the shelf. Chloe gasped. "Next, slide the books to the right." Pop said. Chloe slid the books to the right. "The books below to the left." Pop said. Chloe slid the book to the left. "And finally, spread the first two books apart." Pop said. Chloe slid the books apart. A pink bright light is shown.

"The portal will take you to the bookshelf that's closest to your destination." Pop said. "That's so awesomely cool!" Emily said. "Let's go!" April said. Everyone walked through the portal.

"Be sure to keep your mind focused on the destination." Pop said. "Mind fo- oh, a penguin! I love penguins!" Emily said. "I love penguins too!" I said. "Focus!" Pop shouted. "What the hell are you doing Lana?" Mufasa said.

Chloe's POV:

I landed in a place with the girls. "Where are we?" Lily asked. "A branch of the library," April said. "Look!" I said when I noticed people under a spell. "Definitely in the right place!" Kelsey said. "Wait, what happened to Emily and Lana?" Lily asked. "Huh?" I said. I looked around and couldn't find Emily or my girlfriend anywhere. As I was looking for my girlfriend, Candy jumped out of the portal.

"Mayday! Mayday! Emily and Lana have gone to the south pole!" Candy shouted. "What?" Janja said. "South Pole!" We all shouted. "What do we do?" I asked. "I'll go after them." Pop said. "I'll go get Lana too," Janja said. "Fuli, can you go with them since you are the fasted?" Kion said. "Of course," Fuli said. "Come on, we need to go," Kelsey said. I followed everyone to where the Buffon is. We reached Brooha and the Buffon who was attacking the park. Brooha gave out an evil laugh.

"Man, I love my job!" Brooha said. "Not so fast, witch!" I yelled. Brooha gave an annoyed groan but I didn't care. "Have you forgotten about the Glitter Force?" I said. "Ice Princess, I was hoping you'd show up! Buffon! Come on down!" Brooha yelled. She grabbed a red ball and a soda drink Buffon had appeared.

Lana's POV:

When Emily and I opened our eyes, we noticed we were in a completely different place. "Hello?" Emily called. "Mom, look!" I said and ran to the window. We were surrounded by snow.

"Wha-?" Emily said nervously. I looked at Emily nervously. "Mom, I have a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore," I said. "Uh-oh..." Emily said. "HELP!" Emily and I screamed.

Emily and I were walking around the South Pole, freezing. "Hello? Oh, man! This is what I get for letting myself get distracted by a penguin!" Emily said. "Emily!" A voice called. "Lana!" Another voice called. "Huh? What's that?" Emily asked. We turned around and saw Pop, Janja, and Fuli running up to us.

"Penguins?" I asked. "Are you a penguin?" Emily asked. "Unbelievable! Again, with the penguins. Like a penguin would even know what their names are." Pop said. "Oh geez," Janja said. "Seriously?" Fuli said. Fuli, Janja, and Pop ran up to us.

"Lana are you okay?" Janja asked. "Yeah Daddy, I'm fine. Just cold." I said. "Sorry about this," Emily said. "It's all right but tell me... My baby sister hasn't been giving you trouble, has she?" Pop said. "Candy? Trouble? Are you kidding? She's no trouble at all! She's got more spirit than any of us. She's totally awesome Pop!" Emily said. "Yeah, she is!" I agreed. "Good, I'm glad to hear it." Pop said.

"Why are you asking?" Emily said. "Well, your right about Candy. She does have a lot of spirit." Pop said. "But she's also so young. Just a kid, really. I'll worry about her when I go back to Jubiland. It's hard having to leave her here all alone in a strange place. Real hard." Pop said. Emily took Pop's hands. "Don't you worry Pop. She's not alone. And never will be 'cuz we're around! I promise we'll make her feel as bright as she makes us feel." Emily said.

"Hm? Hold on. Wait a minute... I got it!" Emily said.

Chloe's POV:

"Buffon Boom!" The Buffon yelled and shot cans at us. "Incoming!" I yelled and we ran away. "Looks like we have to fight 'em without Emily and Lana!" I said. "What about our catchphrase?!" Lily cried. "This is so not the time!" Kelsey yelled. "Think you can escape?" Brooha said.

Lana's POV:

"Come on, we need to get back," Fuli said. We were able to find a book portal and get back to everyone. We saw the Buffon and Brooha attacking the girls.

"Now!" Janja shouted. Emily and I threw snowballs at Brooha and she landed on the ground.

"Lana!" My family shouted. "Didn't see any penguins and boy were we underdressed," Emily said. Emily, Pop, Janja, Fuli, and I were covered in snow. Janja and Fuli brushed the snow off of their fur.

"Emily? Lana?" The girls said. "Okay! Huddle up, guys!" Emily said. We huddled up. "Help me warm up! How does this sound?" Emily said. Emily whispered the catchphrase to us. "Would you speak up? I can't here you." Brooha said. "Sure, it's worth a try!" Kelsey said. "I'm down!" I said. "Sure, it's worth a try!" April said. "I'm game!" Lily said. "Then let's do it!" Emily said.

"Insert Glitter Charm!" We yelled, inserting our Glitter Charms into the Glitter Pacts. "Activate Glitter Pact!" The woman said. "All together! Glitter Force makeover!" We yelled. Our Glitter Puffs appeared. "Glitter Puff! Apply shades of power!" Emily shouted. "Poof Poof Glitter Bands! Poof Poof Glitter Boots!" Emily yelled and applied her costume on. "Back in business baby!" I yelled and started applying my costume on.

"Watch out world!" April yelled. "Glitter Bands! Glitter Boots!" I yelled. I finished applying the rest of my costume on. My big hair appeared and my eyes changed color to purple. I tapped the blush on my cheeks. We all landed on the ground when we finished transforming.

"A fabulous shimmer! A glow in your heart! I'm Glitter Lucky!" Lucky shouted and did her pose. "The beat of music! The wave of sound! I'm Glitter Song!" I yelled and did my pose. "When you mess with me, your playing with fire! I'm Glitter Sunny!" Sunny yelled and did her pose. "Puppies and kittens, the power of love! I'm Glitter Peace!" Peace yelled and did her pose. "A force as strong as life itself! I'm Glitter Spring!" Spring yelled and did her pose. "Cool and swift as the winter wind. I'm Glitter Breeze!" Breeze yelled and did her pose. We all flew together when we finished saying our catchphrases.

"Time to blaze away to a happy ending! Ready girls? Shining bright here comes the Glitter Force!" We all yelled and did our poses. "Now that's a catchphrase!" Lucky said. "Awesome!" Bunga said. "Look out!" Nala yelled. The Buffon shot a can at us. "Oh no!" Candy and Pop cried. We landed on the ground. "Sneak attack... No fair!" Lucky said. The Buffon walked over to us.

"Quick, get up! You gotta get up!" Breeze said. "On it... Sort of." Sunny said. Mufasa tried helping me up. "Come on Song, get up!" Mufasa said worriedly. "Go on! Crush 'em flat!" Brooha shouted. "Buffon Crush!" The Buffon yelled and prepared to crush us with his foot. We whimpered as the foot was coming towards us. Pop got in front of the Buffon's foot.

"Now! Transform!" Pop said. The attack was blocked. "Buffon?" The Buffon said, confused. "If anyone gets crushed around here, it'll be you Buffon!" Pop shouted. I was surprised to see Pop transformed as a can crusher.

"What the hell is that?" Scar said. "What's he supposed to be?" Brooha said. Pop punched at the Buffon and the Buffon landed on the ground.

"What is that?" Spring asked. "Not quite sure." Breeze said. "A trash compacter! My big brother's really into recycling!" Candy said. The Buffon was trying to escape from Pop's grasp.

"Okay! Let's put the hurt on!" Pop said. "You heard him! Let's give him a hand!" Lucky said. "We'll help too," Simba said. "Up we go!" We all shouted and jumped in the air. "Come on girls! Let's recycle this tin can!" Lucky shouted. We all landed on the trash compactor and crushed the Buffon.

"Oh yeah!" Bunga shouted. "Nice one!" Simba said. The Buffon got up and was weak. "Buffon..." The Buffon groaned. "Now Sparkle Storm him!" Candy said. Lucky focused her Glitter Spirit into the Glitter Pact.

"We got spirit, yes we do, we got spirit how 'bout you!" Lucky yelled. Lucky summoned her Sparkle Storm. "Glitter Force Sparkle Storm!" Lucky yelled and shot her Sparkle Storm at the Buffon. "Buffon!" The Buffon yelled as he was defeated. We all cheered as we had won the battle.

"Pesky mall rats!" Brooha groaned. With that, Brooha disappeared. A Glitter Charm landed in Lucky's hand.

"The Star Charm!" Pop said. "Now place it in the Charm Chest!" Pop said. "Huh? Mmhm. Poof!" Lucky said and placed her charm in the chest. "Well done Glitter Force!" Pop said. "Actually, you deserve the credit, Pop," Spring said. "You were totally fierce!" Sunny said. "And very cool!" Breeze said. "Oh, well I..." Pop started. "I don't know I say I was..." Pop said and walked back. He tripped when he landed on the bench.

"Isn't he funny?" Candy said.

Later, it was time for Pop to leave to go back to Jubiland. "You have to leave already? No, Pop, No! You just got here!" Candy cried. "You don't want me to neglect my duties back in Jubiland, do you?" Pop said. "Uh-uh." Candy said and shook her head. "You already have the phone charm. Just use it and you can hear my voice anytime. Hey... Remember? We promised we would never cry when we said goodbye. Now, what do we do with that frown? We turn it..." Pop said.

"Upside down." Candy said and smiled even though she was sad. "There. That a girl." Pop said and rubbed his sister's head. "I'm off!" Pop said and jumped in his book. "Take care of my sister! We'll all meet again and write that happy ending! Until then, farewell!" Pop called as he flew away. "Bye!" We called. "Away he goes," Lily said. "I wonder if it's a long flight," April said. "Well, at least he brought a book. Get it?" Kelsey said. "Not the time," Emily said when Candy had tears streaming down her face.

"Sorry," Kelsey said. "Candy. Don't cry. We're here with you. See." Emily said and picked up Candy. "That's right and we'll always be here with you," Chloe said. "Best friends forever!" Lily said. "Yeah!" I said. "Yeah, the Glitter Force seven!" Kelsey said. "So don't be sad," April said. "Thanks, everybody... I don't know what to say." Candy said. Candy's stomach growled.

"Anybody bring a snack?" Candy asked. "Wow. Way to ruin the moment." Emily said. "He. He." I laughed. "What? I'm hungry!" Candy whined.

We all laughed.
