welcome to the thirty-sixth chapter of my 'Vampire Knight' fanfiction, 'Life With Yuuki: 'Vampire Knight' As Told by Zero'. this chapter is pretty scary if you're not prepared to learn of the Level E Vampires' fates. although, I guess that I probably should've first said that when I posted chapters twenty-seven and twenty-eight. in this chapter, Yuuki Cross is attacked by another Level E Vampire and almost fails to stop said demon.

anyway, this thirty-sixth chapter is a simple six-hundred-thirty-one words worth of pure and total storyline. a storyline which, of course, doesn't include the description at the top of the chapter, this headnote, right here, or even the disclaimer which makes up the following paragraph right after this one. yes, I'm perfectly aware that the disclaimer in this chapter is the same as the previous three chapters, but I've been running kinda low on inspiration about what to write in the disclaimer as of late, and not just in this fanfiction, but in all of my other fanfictions, too.

disclamation: I don't own 'Vampire Knight' in any way, shape, or form, be it the anime or the manga. Matsuri Hino owns the rights to the manga while the cast and crew for the anime are the people from Viz Media. if I had owned even one bit of even the anime, I so wouldn't have let it draw to a conclusion on such a note as what it had. I would've continued it a lot further into the manga and ended it the right way. I really wish that Viz Media had ended the anime the right way, or would at least make a reboot of the anime, like FUNimation had with 'Fruits Basket' when they discovered that it had come out with a sequel manga series.

So, I stumbled upon the scent of yet another Level E when I saw that this new former human vampire was after my Yuuki, herself, too. She had managed to hurt herself on the railing of an old and rusty staircase on the side of a building. That was when the Level E vampire smelt her blood shortly after she had noticed her elbow bleeding in at the time. He actually tried to pounce her when he had smelt it. She pulled out her Artemis rod to stop the former human vampire, though. He just hissed at her for it before jumping out of the way and spoke to her. His voice was distorted.

Level E vampire: You know your blood smells delicious.

That was around when his eyes suddenly began to glow a bright and fully blood-colored red.

Level E vampire (continued): Let me drink every drop of it!

I did not know just what she was even thinking by doing nothing but standing there, but that was around when I had finally made the scene. I grabbed onto her Artemis rod from behind her and slammed it against the Level E's forehead. He then screamed in pain upon having it slammed up against his face.

Yours Truly: Don't just stand there, Yuuki.

She must have heard my voice from behind her, because she turned around to face me thereafter.

Yuuki Cross: Zero.

Then, my Yuuki's Artemis rod starting electrocuting me like it wanted me to let it go.

Yours Truly: It seems when I use Artemis instead of you, it doesn't like it.

As badly as Artemis wanted me to release it back to its owner, I could not just leave Yuuki to die via being drained of all her blood like she almost had been when it was me. After a bit of struggling to get his head together, the Level E vampire suddenly bore his true face. His retinas were black and his eyes were completely blood red. My Yuuki fell right to the ground.

Yuuki Cross: So, is that a Level E?

Yuuki was far too frightened to go up against this creature. I had to take over and do something about him. When he jumped up into the air, however, I could not reach him.

The very next thing I knew he was sliced in half by a sword and turned completely to dust thereafter. When we saw who had helped us take down the Level E, I was none too pleased by who it was. It was none other than a couple of students from the night class at our academy.

Yuuki Cross: Takuma! Senri!

Takuma Ichijo: There we go.

Senri Shiki: Why am I here? You didn't need me.

If only the rest of the night class students could be more like Senri and his laziness and sloth, which was a lot closer to that of a real vampire. Of course, my Yuuki only asked the two of them what they were doing out in daylight hours, which I had to admit to thinking the very same thing.

Yuuki Cross: Why are you two outside doing this?

Takuma Ichijo: If you want to know, stop by the Moon Dormitory tonight.

Yuuki Cross: Huh?

Takuma Ichijo: Then, we'll discuss the reason why we came for that Level E.

With that, Takuma and Senri walked away from Yuuki and I. They left my Yuuki with nothing but more questions. That was so like a vampire.

While Senri was just about one of the only vampires in the entire night class to whom I could actually relate, there was something about Takuma that I just did not trust due to finding him a bit weird, even for a vampire.
