Saphira stared at the silver mech in front of her with wide eyes of fear. She knew that she could not get away. Megatron seemed to be observing her silently as his optics seem to glance at the injury on the side of her head.
"Saphira…" She shuddered upon hearing him say her name, she thought about running at the moment. "I must say, this wasn't the exact plan that I had intended for meeting you properly. However, it seems our predicament has worked in my favor."
Saphira frowned a little at him. "If you hadn't shot up the place, we wouldn't be stuck down here…" She clamps her hand over her mouth once the words leave her mouth. Megatron grinned at her deviously. "Then again…um…forget it…"
Megatron chuckles and grabs her by the waist suddenly, causing her to yelp in surprise and fear. He stood up slowly, gazing at her closely. "You are correct, fleshling. I would not be here holding you in my clutches right now if I didn't shoot the mine." His optics glance at the injury again. "Hmmph…that's quite the injury there. I will ensure that proper care will taken for you."
She looked at Megatron with a confused expression before he began to walk ahead, seemingly following the direction of the drill. "Why would you care?"
"Because you are valuable to me, Saphira. Valuable enough to lure Optimus Prime to whatever trap I have for him." Megatron did not look at her as he walked through the tunnel. "I must say…a Prime falling in love with a human is going to be a story that we will laugh at for years to come."
Saphira rolled her eyes, she didn't bother trying to escape his grasp. His rigged fingers alone could easily bruise her body. She sighed and grimaced a little, holding her head as it continued to throb. She also felt very weary all of a sudden. The urge to sleep was rather strong at the moment. But she fought it in case she had a chance to flee.
Megatron growls suddenly, causing her to flinch. "Fragging Starscream left me as soon as the cave began to collapse. The things I would do to him right now…" He clenched his other hand tightly as he spoke, and she knew he wasn't speaking to her. "If he even made it out, I'll do far worse to him…maybe, remove that new arm of his."
Saphira listened to his monologue and sighed a little. "He'll get what he deserves…" She muttered to herself.
Megatron blinked and glanced at Saphira, he had been a little disappointed that she didn't try to escape from. However, he had noticed that she had been holding her head and she seemed a bit unwell. It worked in his favor, sure, but…Megatron also wanted to know why, whenever he thought about this human, that something pulls at his spark. Maybe it was why Optimus was close to her. It was something he intended to find out.
Saphira looked around the tunnel as Megatron continued to walk, silently hoping for Arcee or Bulkhead to show up…but…even if they did, she knew Megatron will use her to get away. She found herself feeling both frustrated and upset about that. However, Saphira didn't know what Megatron actually intended to do.
"I am surprised I haven't heard Prime," Megatron spoke to himself suddenly. "Perhaps, the injury to the head has disrupted the connection a little…" Saphira tensed, surprised that Megatron assumed that she and Optimus were bonded. Megatron glanced at her curiously, feeling her tense in his hand. "Or…you have not bonded. Why am I not surprised?" Megatron laughed suddenly, making her flinch a little at the intensity of the laugh. "He always seems to take his time. He wasn't even bonded to Elita."
Saphira did not say anything, she felt nervous by how he was speaking about all of this. She flinched when he continued to speak. "I think you should count yourself lucky that Prime is not yet your sparkmate." She almost threw Megatron a glare, he was using manipulation now, and she knew it. "He tends to keep promises to those he can't keep. Because I always ruin those promises." He chuckled softly before he stopped suddenly.
Saphira heard the sound of someone shrieking loudly in pain, and familiar voices shouting at each other. She smiled when she recognized Arcee, Bulkhead, Jack and Miko, but she didn't dare shout. Megatron was already giving her a look that told he that he will do something if she tried to get their attention. She hoped the bots would run into them though…they just had to.
Megatron lightly chuckled, Saphira glanced at him as she was curious as to why he was laughing. "Seems that Starscream has once again been outwitted by the autobots." He looked at Saphira, still smirking, which made her shudder a little nervously. "I know from Soundwave, you also managed to outwit Starscream, Knockout and Breakdown with the use of scraplets. I have to say, that is impressive." Saphira did not react to Megatron's comment at all, she simply listened to him. "If those three were able to be outwitted by a small human, like yourself, I often wonder what my warriors have come to."
Saphira again, did not react to Megatron again, she didn't really know why he was speaking to her. But she guessed maybe he was doing it out of habit, or simply because he needed her. And treating her this way might be a way for him to try and make her comfortable around him. At the moment, she could not be comfortable. Her head was still aching, and the wound on her head had started to sting lightly. Megatron stayed put for the time being, listening quietly to the autobots ahead of them. Saphira could not hear the words they were saying, but the shouting was hurting her head, even if it was echoing.
Soon, their voices fade and Megatron peered around the corner, glancing around for a moment before he walked away. She had wondered why he had not transformed to fly out of the mine, though it probably wasn't practical. The two of them hear the struggled cries and panicked intakes and exhales echoing ahead of them. Saphira could tell it was Starscream, but she pondered what the autobots had done to the con, though she also didn't really care.
She did take notice that Megatron seemed to have zero concern for Starscream. He actually seemed amused by the sounds echoing ahead of them, the smirk on his face said it all. Saphira did still wonder why Megatron kept Starscream around for this long. From what she has understood, Starscream's loyalty has always been questionable…at least, according to the bots. She guessed there must have been a time where Starscream was completely loyal, he did make second in command after all.
Eventually, Saphira turned her head and peered through an opening into a chamber. Saphira widened her eyes when she saw Starscream, he was struggling to hold up a massive boulder above him, his arms were shaking and his legs looked like they were about to give out from underneath him. The grimace on his face shouted how much he was struggling, and his high-pitched grunts were echoing around them. Saphira actually almost laughed at Starscream's pitiful state, however she only made an amused huff and covered her mouth.
Megatron raised an eyebrow slightly at her, noticing her amusement of Starscream's struggles. He glanced into the space Starscream was in casually, not really sure if he wanted to even save him. Starscream spotted Megatron, his optics widen slightly when he saw Megatron holding Saphira, but he didn't address her at all. "Master! You're alive! Thank the All Spark!" Starscream genuinely seemed relieved to see Megatron, however, he got no response from his master. Megatron simply stared at Starscream, without a single word. Starscream's smile quickly faded as he realized that Megatron was not in a hurry to help him. "I did not abandon you, master! I returned! To save you!"
Megatron smirked slightly as he listened to Starscream's words. "Save me?" It was clear to Saphira that Megatron did not believe Starscream. She didn't know what to believe, but she really couldn't be sure what happened.
The rock shifted downward again, making Starscream grimace and whine in both pain and panic, trying to keep himself from being crushed. "Look into my spark, Lord Megatron. My intentions were true." His face was full of plea at this point, seemingly defeated at this point and could only beg for mercy. "Please…have mercy!"
Saphira bit her bottom lip a little and glanced away, trying to hide a smirk on her face. She didn't know why she found this amusing, but she did. Megatron was simply staring at Starscream, his optics were narrowed, and he was reading Starscream's expression, trying to find anything that was a lie. She managed to keep herself from smirking and looked back at Starscream, the rock shifted again, making him cry out in pain.
Megatron huffed and reached out with one hand to hold up the rock. "You only have one chance, Starscream. I suggest you take it, or I will let it crush you!"
Starscream felt relief when the weight on his arms was removed and he rushed out, but not before Megatron released the boulder, letting it almost crush Starscream. He screamed and jumped out, falling onto his face and coughing, seemingly in disbelief that he was alive. He smiled and looked up, only for his face to drop at Megatron's angry gaze.
Starscream grits his teeth for a moment before he shifted onto his knees and bowed to him. "Thank you, master! I knew you could see my true intentions! I will make sure that every action I do will be because of your wish, master!"
Megatron growled and intakes heavily, walking around Starscream to walk the direction the autobots have gone. "The autobots have dug their way out of the mine for us. We must leave before they return to comb through the tunnels searching for their human pet."
Starscream glanced at Megatron's hand, narrowing his optics at Saphira. She looked away from him nervously. "You…" He growled lowly. "You thought you could get away with throwing a scraplet at me and nearly have me eaten alive, didn't you?" Megatron turned his head slightly to glare at Starscream, making him cover his head in a quick cower. "O-Of c-c-course…I-I let my g-guard down because you're just a human." He smirked slightly with a guiltly expression before it turned devious. "Allow me to do the honor for you, master, and I will spill the human's blood myself."
Megatron turned suddenly, aiming his canon directly at Starscream's face, making him shriek and drop to the ground in fear. He glared at the con with a fierce warning in his optics, even Saphira had been startled. "What makes you think I will kill her right now, Starscream?" Starscream glanced at him, his whole body shaking with terror as he listened. "When I was in control of their scout's mind, I saw through his optics a very peculiar relationship between this girl and Optimus." The con relaxed suddenly, blinking in surprise as he listened. "It seems Optimus fancies humans…" Megatron smirked, gazing at Saphira as she tensed nervously. "And their relationship is strong. But they have not yet bonded."
Starscream smiled suddenly as he realized and stood up. "Ooh, I see. She is the bait."
"Precisely." Megatron pulled his canon away and turned to keep walking. "Now all we need to do is to come up with a plan to ambush the autobots. We will give them the chance to save this girl, only for them to fail miserably, and Optimus will be forced to watch while I rip her very body in half!" Saphira felt tears in her eyes, her body trembled as she listened to Megatron. "He will be so broken, that he will not fight back when I rip his spark from his chest! It's a perfect plan!"
Starscream laughed deviously as he listened. "Oh, what a perfect plan master!"
"In the meantime…" The decepticon leader looked at Saphira, she was not looking at him and he could feel her trembling in his hand. "No harm will befall this human. No scratch, no wound…I will have Knockout learn about human medicine and housing in order to keep her alive long enough to see this plan through."
"I understand, master." Starscream was not entirely thrilled that he couldn't be mean to the girl, not even just once. "Who will be watching over her, master?"
"Soundwave and Knockout will be in charge of keeping her out of trouble. Though of course, I will want to check in every now and then myself." Megatron pulled Saphira closer to him and she turned her head to look at him fearfully, her cheeks wet with tears. "So I expect you to be on your best behaviour. While the other decepticons are not permitted to do anything to you…I, on the other hand, can do what I want to keep you in line."
Saphira simply nodded. "I-I w-w-won't cause trouble."
"Hmm, I don't think you will." Megatron looked ahead as they round another corner and he spotted daylight ahead. "Come, Starscream, we must make haste, or we will be pinned down by Optimus Prime. And he will not let his pet leave without us crushed into gun metal grade."
Megatron began to run towards the light, and Starscream followed him. Saphira still had tears running down her cheeks. She at least knew what Megatron planned to do to her, and it made her extremely sad and scared. She honestly didn't even know if she wanted to even try to be alive in Megatron's clutches, but…her mind went to Optimus. She wanted to reach him through the bond, but she did not feel well enough for it.
She covered her eyes with her hands as Megatron ran out of the mine and came to stop. She peers through her fingers to see the autobots, all of them, standing in a circle. She saw Optimus and she could see he was angry and worried. However, his head snapped towards Megatron and his optics widen upon seeing Megatron holding Saphira. He quickly armed himself, as did the other autobots and ran towards them, shooting at Megatron.
Megatron growled and turned his body to block the fire hitting Saphira and transformed, making Saphira yelp in surprise and found herself in the cockpit of a jet. She gasped and glanced around, feeling the belt strap her in tightly just as Megatron took off. Saphira shifted to try and look outside, but she could not. She let more tears roll down her cheeks, feeling a sense of hopelessness wash over her mind. She did not know what she could do to get out of this situation.
Megatron felt good, he took pleasure in the fear and despair coming from Optimus as he tried to stop him from taking Saphira away from his enemy. However, Megatron found himself…observing Saphira as she cried. He saw she was scared, and he felt the sense of glee he always felt when he had someone squirming in his grasp, and yet…strange tugs in his spark filled his mind. He didn't understand at all.
Why does my spark even react to this girl?! She is only a human! She's Prime's pet! His toy! Nothing more, nothing less! And she is the perfect bait. Why do I feel something strange deep down? I don't understand it!
Megatron was already frustrated and angry at this girl for doing this to him, even if she was not doing it on purpose. Starscream flew behind him as they make their way towards the warship. Both bots were looking forward to using Saphira to toy with the autobots, and make them suffer along with Saphira. The girl had no idea what would happen to her.
Saphira looked ahead when she spotted the ship, shivering nervously as she stared at it, knowing that this was going to be her home for some time. She prayed to Primus that maybe, just maybe, there was a way for her to have the autobots find her. But…she was not in the condition to do anything at the moment. She felt nauseous again, and she tensed a little as her stomach twisted and sleep became ever more tempting.
It would be nice if all of this was just a bad dream…and I'll wake up on Optimus's chassis…surrounded by his warm, strong hands.
Megatron flew into an opening door on the side of the ship and transformed upon entering, landing on the floor heavily. Saphira gripped his hand in reaction to the sudden transformation and took deep breaths as she looked around, seeing the vehicons in the room to greet their master. Soundwave, Knockout and Breakdown were also present…and a spider-like con. Saphira never met her before, but she knew that was Airachnid.
"I must say, this must be a trend I am seeing on this world," Aircahnid comments with a smirk and a light hiss through her words. Megatron ignored her and walked ahead towards a door, leading into another hallway. "Lord Megatron, I suppose you must have wanted a human pet for yourself after seeing the autobots with their own?"
"No, this pet is who Optimus is infatuated with," Megatron responded in a calm tone. "And I have now successfully plucked her from his grasp, with the very intent on making him squirm and endure anything that I want, until I decide I am bored with this human and use her as bait to finally end this war…once and for all."
Knockout snickered softly as he listened to the con. "That sounds like quite the plan, I must say…"
Megatron turned suddenly to face Knockout, surprising the con and making him back away. "You and Breakdown are to research all human medicine that you can find, along with what is required to house a human."
The red con blinked in surprise and quickly seemed offended, glancing down at Saphira briefly. "Why us, Lord Megatron?"
"Because you both are part of my medical staff, and this human requires medical aid." Megatron looked back at Saphira, she was looking around at everything, but she was clearly unwell. Megatron could tell, though he didn't know the extent of her injuries. "It seems my actions have caused an injury that is causing her discomfort."
"And why should we care about her comfort?" Breakdown asked, placing his hands on his hips. "She is the one who used scraplets on us in order to turn Knockout's electric rod onto him."
"An eye for an eye, Breakdown," Megatron said, smirking at him. Saphira had noticed that Breakdown's right eye was missing, and have been replaced with something else. It seemed similar to Soundwave's visor, she didn't know if he was partially blind or not. "She is to be looked after enough so that she is not causing trouble by complaining to us of it. We will need to look into procuring human food for her as well, and water."
Knockout shakes his head, his optics narrowing at him. "But, why must we do that?"
Starscream growled loudly, stepping forward and shouting at them. "Are you really going to talk back and disobey, Lord Megatron?! She needs to look pretty for the main event."
The decepticon commander blinked and seemed to like the chosen word that Starscream used regarding his main plan now that he had Saphira. "Starscream is right. And she is not to be harmed by anyone, but myself. I will handle any punishment that I deem fit for her. However…" He looked at Saphira with a smirk, she was trying so hard not to look at the cons, but she was finding it hard to. "I have a feeling, she will behave. She already knows that I will not be so forgiving to her." He chuckled softly before he suddenly hands Saphira to Knockout, making his shriek like he was touching vermin. "You have one hour to report back to me with news, Knockout. You and Breakdown better get started, my patience is very thin today! Soundwave will keep you both company."
Megatron walked past the two bots, leaving Saphira with the couple, and Soundwave. She watched Megatron leave, glancing at Starscream who gave her a cold grin before he followed Megatron. Airachnid studied her curiously, she was tapping her cheek thoughtfully as this seemed to interest her.
"I can't believe Megatron just past her to us like that!" Breakdown huffed before glaring at Saphira. She looked back at the two with a worried expression. "At least you won't have any other scraplet with you. Megatron would have made sure of that. Come Knockout, I don't want to feel any of Megatron's wrath."
Knockout nodded and followed his sparkmate with a groan. He was very unhappy, and not afraid to show it. "I don't even know what to do even if we research human medicine."
"Simple." Knockout tensed slightly upon hearing Airachnid's voice, turning his head to look at her as she followed them. "You boys must figure out how to make something similar to keep our guest from being sick. Of course, the first thing you should do, is treat the injury she has right now."
"Concussion."
Knockout glanced down at Saphira in surprise when she said a single word. "What did you say?"
"I have a concussion…I think…" Saphira said bluntly, placing a hand to her head with a grimace. "I've had something hit my head hard…so I've probably got concussion…which means I won't be very cheery for a little while."
"Oh? You know what symptoms you'll have, hmm?" Knockout asked in a sarcastic tone.
"Of course…I know my own human illnesses, Knockout." She shakes her head a little, not bothering to look at Knockout, Breakdown or Airachnid. "Headaches are a common symptom...which I definitely feel right now. On top of the wound on my head…I also vomited earlier…and I might again…"
Knockout frowned a little at the word. "I have no idea what that means."
Saphira sighed a little. "In your language, it means purge."
The con tensed and grimaced at her. "Ugh! You had better not purge all over me! You'll ruin my finish!"
She looked at Knockout with a slight smirk. "I can't promise that I won't. If you have a bucket somewhere…"
"EWWW!" Knockout suddenly passed Saphira to Breakdown, shoving her into his hand. Saphira grimaced as the sudden move made her head spin. "You carry her! I won't have a human purge all over me!"
Saphira gagged suddenly, covering her mouth to stop herself from heaving. Airachnid chuckled loudly at the two of them. "I must say…this is the most intriguing choice Megatron has made so far. And yet…this plan might actually work." The spider-con tapped her cheek gently in thought as she smirked at the human. "You'd better get to your lab, she's about to purge."
Breakdown shuddered a little and ran down the hallway. Saphira yelped and grasped his hand in surprise as his grip was looser on her than when Megatron, or even, any of the autobots have held her. She thought about snapping at him about it, but decided against it for fear of a consequence later. She noticed that Soundwave simply walked behind them, he didn't seem to be in a hurry. That bot's patience was curious to her.
When they arrived in the lab, Saphira was placed onto a med berth and she jumped when a large bucket was slammed beside her. "Here, that should be enough to purge into," Knockout said bluntly before turning to a monitor to begin researching. Saphira felt her stomach twist and she grabbed the side of the bucket to heave violently, coughing loudly as she emptied what was left in her stomach. The red bot grimaced at the sound. "Ugh! I hope you will do that for much longer. Breakdown, scan her for whatever injuries she has when she's done purging. I'll begin my research."
Saphira gripped the side of the large bucket as she emptied what was left in her stomach, which was not much at all. When she finished, she stumbled back from the bucket and fell onto her back. Breakdown flinched in surprise upon seeing her fall, but she didn't seem too hurt, but her skin was covered in sweat and her eyes appeared shaky.
"Hmm…" Breakdown grabbed a scanner to scan her body, he had to first press buttons to ensure that it could scan a human body. He was immediately alerted to not only the external injury to her head, but her brain too. "She might be right about this concussion she has. My scans are picking up brain trauma." He glanced at Saphira, noticing her eyelids were half closed. "I would advise you to stay awake until we figure this out."
"But…I'm so tired…" Saphira breathed out with a groan, she felt as though the world was spinning and she could not focus. "I don't…feel good…"
Knockout glanced at Saphira after he read the symptoms he found regarding a concussion. She definitely was showing all of them. He had to make something for the pain and ensure that she rests. "Do not worry, Knockout. It seems she was right that she has a concussion. Rest is what she needs."
Breakdown glanced at his sparkmate and shrugged. "Okay…but…what about her head injury."
"I guess we'll need to treat it…" Knockout glanced at Saphira's face and saw she was not focusing, and she was fighting herself from sleeping. He couldn't help but feel slightly amused, this girl had made a mistake throwing that scraplet at him and ruining his finish. "At least we don't have to do anything to torment her. She'll be sick for at least two weeks to recover from this concussion." Knockout chuckled softly before softening his voice to pretend he cares for Saphira. "Go to sleep, Saphira. You will not get better if you stay awake."
Saphira barely acknowledged Knockout. Her eyes finally closed, the ache in her head continued to throb painfully and she could only hope this was a bad dream. Though, in her heart she knew that this was not a dream. It was very much real. She wasn't sobbing now because she was too sore and tired to even want to cry, but that would come later. Especially as she knew her fate. She could only wait upon it, or wait for a rescue. She felt herself drift into slumber, but not before she attempted to reach through the bond, not knowing if Optimus could hear her.
'Optimus…please help me…I need you…'
