At night in Station square Marcy made it back to her room extremely tired from all that hard work, She yawned.
"I think I need a Nap," Marcy says, laying down on her bed looking at the ceiling, but still thinking about Vision the chaos emerald showing a flashback in the past," I think I need to figure it out but for now," She then falls asleep immediately.
Suddenly a wind blew the windows opens as the black hedgehog shadow went to her room who found that she asleep, He towards him while she was asleep so he covered her body with the blanket until the neck, he remove her pin on her left side of her hair and place it on the nearby lamp shelf, he then look at her again seeing her green stripe half of the clumsy girl's hair, her face reminded him of Maria shadow only friend back at the ark, now he trying to protect Marcy, he then smiled leaned closer to her face, and kissed her forehead before leaving the room quietly, and sit on the rooftop looking at the full moon, He sighs and smirks.
"Living for a 50-year, now giving everyone a chance to be happy for Maria, but I lost her. I don't want to lose a stepsister." He closes his eyes and sighs until whispers in his head as everything is darkened as Shadow face to face with the eyes of the Core.
"You, what do you want from me?" The Eyes leaned in on him and whispered. "to join you? Really? Hmph, don't make me laugh, I'm not joining, and Frankly I wasn't expecting you to survive from being obliterated into dust, but I want to ask you this, what were those BEING in the painting on the walls back at the temple."
"Those beings are the black arms." a voice behind him said, He turned around to see Andrias his father Aldrich but it was the core as the eyes behind him closed their eyes.
"The what?"
"Sha-dow?" Marcy says half awake.
Meanwhile
Eggman was thinking of a plan.
" I got it, we'll use Anne as bait!" Eggman says and sends drones after Anne.
Meanwhile
Amy and Lily were heading to find Lily's parents when they came across Anne.
" Hey Guys" Anne says.
"Hey Anne, we were going to find Eggman so we could save Lily's parents, " Amy says.
" Cool, Mind if I tag along?" Anne asked.
"Sure," Amy says.
The next day they were on a boat heading to the remains of the Egg carrier.
Meanwhile Marcy came downstairs in her ordinary outfit, she saw that Her parents were actually making Breakfast in The dining kitchen, and to her surprise she saw Shadow who was sitting at the table. Shadow noticed her and smiled.
"Well, look who has woken up." Shadow said, Marcy, smiled and sat right next to him.
"I didn't think you'd join us," Marcy says.
"Well I thought I would stop by for a little visit, by the way, your parents are nice," Shadow said.
"I thought they would freak out, " Marcy says, Shadow Chuckled. After an hour of a few conversations with her Parents, Marcy, and Shadow took an outdoor stroll, She saw him smile and laughed throughout the morning.
"Hey." Marcy Called getting Shadow's attention as he turned to face her."I… I want to apologize for disobeying your orders, I know you're trying to protect me in all, but you're just being a good brother."
"Thank you, and, no need to be sorry, I was a bit overprotective 'cause I didn't want you getting into danger or hurt, So I thought today I want to make it too, and besides I just want to get to know you better and learn more on about this planet."
Marcy gasped, He smiled at her as smirked and chuckled. "Well if you're up for it, okay."
"So, what do you want to do for… fun?"
" Oh this will be good come on Shads " Marcy says
Meanwhile, the trio arrived at the remains as they walked around.
" Ok Where is that robot anyway?' Anne asked.
" I don't know " Amy says as Zero appeared causing them to gasp.
Meanwhile
Deep down in the lowest level of the ship, Gamma traveled through a wide corridor before arriving at a set of sliding doors. After pressing the button, the doors smoothly slid open to reveal a large, circular room. What stood before him was a robot that was completely different from anything he had ever seen before. It was a large, purple machine with eight missile launchers arranged in a circle around its body, which was stationed on a large, raised, central platform. The head turned around, and it revealed itself as Zeta, who was no longer the robot that Gamma used to know. He had been completely rebuilt as an entirely different machine, but still kept his purple color and his head.
"Zeta," Gamma said.
"Gamma," Zeta replied, "Intruder. All intruders must be destroyed." Zeta shot a large missile out of one of his turrets, heading straight for Gamma. Gamma leaped out of the way and the missile hit the floor, blasting a hole in it.
Amy and Anne heard it and gasped.
" What was that?" Anne asked
Zeta continued to fire missile after missile at Gamma, who did his best to avoid the blasts.
"Please, Zeta," Gamma pleaded. "You're my brother. We can put a peaceful end to all of this."
Zeta never spoke a single word and he just kept on relentlessly shooting at Gamma. The way Zeta was behaving wasn't like him at all. Gamma eventually hid behind a large control console, and Zeta ceased to fire. Gamma then came to the conclusion that Zeta must have been reprogrammed, similar to the others.
Gamma then jumped out and quickly fired his missile blaster. A well-aimed shot hit Zeta's head, completely decapitating the robot. Zeta's whole body froze in place now that he was headless. Gamma then walked over to the control console, and it turned out that it controlled the purple assault machine's operating system. After systematically pressing some buttons, he was able to completely shut Zeta down and erase his programming. A hatch opened and a small chipmunk encased in a green bubble was ejected. The chipmunk then ran out of the room via one of the large holes in the floor.
"Scanning... Units remaining..." Gamma said, "Beta."
Immediately after he said that, the ceiling began to collapse before completely breaking apart, and Beta dropped down. Like Zeta, Beta was no longer the robot that Gamma once knew, except that he had been completely rebuilt as an agile and more powerful flying unit. He had a new black-and-silver shell, and his brand-new energy blasters were also equipped with a pair of shield-like, twin-bladed gauntlets. His eyes were replaced with an advanced single green eye. His legs were gone, and he navigated with jets and a tail-like rudder.
"Beta," Gamma acknowledged.
Without saying a word, Beta responded by shooting at Gamma with a yellow blast of energy. Gamma barely avoided it by dodging to the side, and the blast shattered a wall behind him. Beta then shot another energy blast at the ceiling, blasting a hole in it, which he flew upward through.
Just then Amy and Anne arrive just to see them leave.
" We're too late " Anne says.
Gamma was now outside, and he spotted Beta flying above him, heading over to the giant green platform at the end of the Egg Carrier. He began to follow him there, and once they arrived, the two brothers faced each other for the final battle.
"Now, Gamma," Beta finally spoke, "let's see who is the superior model!"
"Beta, please stop," Gamma begged. "I'm your brother. I only want to free you for the greater good."
Beta didn't want to hear any of Gamma's spiel. "Silence!" Beta ordered before firing another blast of energy at Gamma.
Gamma attempted to retaliate by firing two missiles at Beta. Beta was faster than ever before and he had newer and better methods of defense. He demonstrated this by deflecting Gamma's missile with his gauntlet as if it was a pebble. Beta then formed a shield around himself and charged at Gamma with his gauntlets pointed straight at his red brother.
Gamma tried to dodge his attack, but Beta was too fast, and he managed to slash a part of Gamma's chest.
"Stop it, Beta!" Gamma shouted.
"I will not, Gamma!" Beta coldly responded before shooting another energy beam at Gamma, who moved aside.
Beta decided to change tactics. He flew up in the air, positioning himself for an aerial attack. He fired a series of energy beams from both of his cannons, one after the other. Gamma was sent running around, trying to avoid the blasts as they completely obliterated the glass floor in the platform's center. The aerial fighter then put his blasters together and fired one concentrated energy beam. Gamma was able to successfully dodge it, but the resulting explosion was so big that it rocked the entire ship and blew Gamma down to the floor. Beta hovered above Gamma to relish his superiority.
Gamma picked up his battered body off the floor and looked into the eye of Beta, who didn't even show a single scratch on his gleaming black shell.
"Please, Beta, listen to me," Gamma begged. "I'm your brother, remember?"
"Gamma enemy," Beta coldly replied. "All enemies must be eliminated!"
Beta deployed his shield, preparing to charge at Gamma once again. Gamma was prepared as well and he managed to quickly dodge the attack, and Beta flew right past him. Acting quickly, Gamma fired a series of missiles into Beta's unprotected back, fatally wounding him. However, Beta would not go down alone. With the last of his remaining strength, he put his blasters together before Gamma could react, and shot Gamma at point-blank range just as Amy and Anne showed up.
Zero soon arrived as Anne and Amy glared as Amy's body crackled with pink chaos energy.
" You'll pay " Amy shouts as she raised her piko piko hammer as she yells out before charging.
" I'm just going to let Amy have this one " Anne says as Zero goes for a punch but Amy leaped up and whacked Zero with her hammer as she repeatedly hit him over and over.
Anne just blinked.
Meanwhile, Marcy led Shadow to a carnival, looking for this red and white striped tent.
"What is this?" he asked, Marcy stopped and turned around.
"It's a circus, it's where all their stunts and tricks are." She then grabbed Shadow's wrist and led him into the tent. Shadow flashed back to Maria mentioning it, the two sit in the front where they can see all the stunts and tricks.
"So when does it start?" Shadow asked, suddenly the dim dark as the show was about to begin.
2 hour later it was night and the show was over. The Audience exited out one by one until the last ones were Shadow and Marcy.
"Huh, that was pretty Amazing." Shadow said, Marcy ran off. "Where ya going?"
"Come on, I want to show you something." She called, Shadow then followed her.
"Can you explain to me Where we are going?" Shadow asked again.
"You'll see!"
Soon They entered a park and ran further until they found a spot where there were no lamp lights. It was a grassy curve hill as Marcy layed down on the grassy ground, shadow stopping for a moment.
"Sit down." She said, he then sat down beside her. " look up."
And with that shadow looked up and was Amazed to see stars in the sky. He saw stars so bright far away from this planet.
"Look." He pointed at a star resembling a bowl." That's the big dipper, it's called a constellation, it looks like a pot, the three stars you see bare the handle, and four make up the pot."
"Why is it shaped like that?" Shadow asked.
"There are constellations everywhere on earth. It can be hard to see the patterns if you haven't attempted to connect each dot, they can be whatever you like, but stars are just an aspect."
"The moon is quite different when viewed here, in space, it was farther away, and there were fewer details that could be seen, I never saw the moon shine bright like this."
"Yeah, the earth is given both the stars and the moon to express themselves, speaking of which, what's it like up there in space?"
"You mean in the ark?"
Marcy nodded, Shadow looked away to his shoulder. She noticed his reaction believing that he doesn't want to talk about it.
"Hey, I know how you feel, maybe at least what it's like up there."
Shadow sighed. "Okay." he first took a deep breath and began to explain.
Cubot and Robot were planting a trap.
Meanwhile Amy was still hammering Zero as Anne wake up from her nap.
" You're still at it?" Anne asked as Amy stopped.
Suddenly Metal Sonic arrived glaring at Anne.
" Metal!" Amy says holding her hammer glaring at Metal Sonic as drones arrive.
" Oh no, " Amy says nervously.
Meanwhile
"Space, the endless vacuum of nothingness, the ark was the birthplace I was born," Shadow explained.`` The only thing I remember is I can look out the window looking at the blue planet you call earth, the view from the station was unlike from this perspective, the moon was farther away I can only see less detail apart."
"How did you get the name?" Marcy asked.
"Shadow.. it was the name.. my friend, Maria gave to me like I said don't remember much, running down the corridor, holding Maria's hand, and… gunshots, that day I saw Maria on the floor I burst into tears as hear Maria's Final words For all the people on that planet, Fulfill this wish, Shadow gives them a chance to be happy, then out wish will be realized, you were created to help people don't forget, someone to watch over and protect, just. like. a shadow." Shadow begins to shatter in tears." Those were *Sniffed* last words M-Maria *Sniff told me before ascending down *Sniffed* to the earth."
Shadow couldn't control his emotions, he couldn't let go of the pain he lost that day, Marcy was suffering from empathy as she hugged him the black hedgehog, he then noticed him and accepted it, and after a few seconds they let go.
"I'm sorry about your loss, I know how you feel, and the thought of losing someone in your life make is it just so-"
"Big?" Shadow guessed.
"Yeah, and I have the same pain when I went to amphibia."
Flashback
Amy , Olivia, Yunnan and Marcy was in some sort of wasteland
" Hey Mrs Olivia, is that your mom ?" Amy asked as Olivia gasped
Marcy looked up " Oh it's just a projector " Marcy says
" Pro-what now ?" Amy asked
" It's fake " Marcy says as a fake Sonic was killed by Andrias " Sonic!" Amy screamed scared
" It's all your fault for being useless " Sonic says as Amy was tearing up and tried to touch Sonic but he vanished
Meanwhile Marcy was in a hallway " Oh no " Marcy says as she saw Anne and Sasha
" You betrayed us now we want nothing to do with you ever " Anne and Sasha says as Marcy was sobbing
Yunnan was backing up when she realized they were fake
" Um Guys it's those eyes" Yunnan says as Amy looked at a card " That's true " Amy says as her body lit up like pink chaos energy as she formed it around her hammer and whacked the eyes as she , Marcy , Olivia and Yunnan destroyed most of them as Yunnan passed Marcy the crossbow as Marcy shot the last one down
" Alright, that was awesome!" Amy says and high five Marcy as Marcy hugged Amy " Omg what are you ?" Marcy asked " I'm Amy rose and in order to save my planet I had to come to yours but it seems Sonic isn't here " Amy says
" Ok I don't usually Say this but , Good work everyone " Yunan says as Suddenly As ring opened up as Knuckles came in with Robotnik
" Knuckles ?" Amy asked
" huh ?" Marcy asked confused
" I got this " Yunan says and leaped towards Knuckles and swiped at Knuckles a bunch of times as Knuckles dodged each attack and charged himself with Chaos energy as he punched Yunan sending her down as Andrias arrived
" Ha you're too late " Amy says and tossed a ring opening a portal to a weird planet " Come on Marcy we're bustin outta here " Amy says as a orange laser destroyed the ring portal
"Did that ring open a portal so Cool?"M arcy says as a big machine with different eyes landed
"Knuckles, Eggman head upstairs please " Andrias says as the two do so
" What the ?" Marcy asked before tentacles grabbed her face as Amy grabbed her arm " No !" Amy says as it was too strong and tied Marcy to a chair
" Let me go I'm too young to die " Marcy cried out
" Sorry Marcy I really didn't want it to be you but the core desires a host someone smart , the only one who can beat me in flipwart " Andrias says as Marcy gasped knowing she was doomed as the helmet covered her face as Marcy screamed " Anne !, Sasha !" Marcy begged and sobbed as data filled her head as soon the machine fell over as Marcy's bones cracked.
Flashback end
"That was the scariest night of my life " Marcy sobbed.
"Didn't think that echidna worked for Eggman awhile back,'' Shadow says, patting her back."I'm terribly sorry Marcy."
Meanwhile Amy leaped and whacked the drones in the skies with her hammer causing explosions, Anne glared as she went to punch Metal Sonic who grabbed her.
" Well Well it seems you still have calamity powers but it's not going to save you," Metal Sonic says
"the core?" Anne asked.
" Yes " , Metal Sonic says as Amy whacked him with her hammer.
" It's showtime!" Amy says.
" You will regret that" Metal Sonic says glowing orange as he prepares for his attack as Anne gasps.
" Amy get out of there " Anne says as Amy stood her ground.
" I'm not going to let the Core win not again" Amy says as she leaped towards Metal Sonic who rushed into Amy as Amy slammed her hammer but Metal Sonic broke it and punched Amy so hard she spat out blood.
Meanwhile
Marcy was still sobbing.
" You never knew I got stabbed, " Marcy says.
Another Flashback in Amphibia
In the castle Marcy had just returned with Sprig and noticed Andrias was distracted, She grabbed the music box from the pedestal as the castle collapsed, she then activated the box opening a portal back to Earth.
"Nooo!" Andrias shouted As he noticed her and rushed towards Marcy, but was stopped by Sasha and Grimes.
"Anne go, Me and Grimes will hold him off!" Sasha called, Anne nodded as she and the Plantars took the opportunity to head into the portal, with Polly dragging Frobo's head in Anne's backpack.
"Quick, into the portal everyone, hurry!" Marcy said Andrias attempts to crush Sasha, but she rolls out of the way, giving Grime the opportunity to drive a warhammer into his leg, Andrias knocks Grime off then smacks away Sasha with his tail.
"The box!" Andrias shouted.
"Marcy, hurry!" Anne said.
"I just need to–" before Marcy could say a word she suddenly cut off as her expression turned to dread. She looks down in mute horror to see King Andrias's laser sword impaled right through her chest.
"Now look at what you've made me do." Andrias said.
"I-I'm sorry. For...everything…"
"MARCY!" Anne cried.
Marcy fell unconscious from the deadly wound, dropping the music box which caused it to zap them back to earth.
Flashback
"It almost ended my life." Marcy said, holding her chest
"Do you still have that scar on you?" Shadow asked, Marcy unzipped her jacket and showed a little of the scar in her chest though it would be embarrassing if showed her full scar, because well it was between her breasts.
"My wound was healed during the core occupation but the scar is still there." Marcy said.
"Yikes!" Rouge says as she comes in.
Meanwhile Amy was flung to a wall as Metal Sonic dashed and kicked Anne.
"You will make good bait for Marcy, "Metal Sonic says and grabs Anne by the head.
" No I won't let Marcy get hurt " Anne says and activates her calamity powers.
Metal Sonic punches Anne who was sent back before she got back on her feet and dashes toward him, Metal sonic wrist transforms into a missile launcher he then focuses his target on Anne until firing at her leaving nothing but smoke.
"All too easy." Metal mock or so he thought, from out of the smoke Anne comes out from the explosion pulling a first at him, and with enough force, she sends him away hitting the ground, Anne smirks.
"Not too shabby for a piece of metal." she mocked, metal sonic struggling to get up before core eyes opened on his forehead.
"Why don't we raise the stakes?" He told Metal chuckled, Anne, heard him chuckling, confused, and he then got up and in a flash began to use the power of the chaos emerald, and shouted.
"TASTE MY POWER, CHAOS CONTROL!" He then immediately disappeared, and Anne gasped as reappeared out of nowhere, kicking Anne in the stomach, Anne groaned as Metal Sonic hit her with a spin dash sending her to the ground as a dust cloud rose up. Amy and Anne slowly get up, glaring at metal slowly walking towards them.
"This is going to be harder than I thought," Anne said.
Amy took out her Hammer and used her powers to fix it as she charged and swung at Metal Sonic who dodged each attack, leaving Anne with an opening spot to land a punch on him as she activated her powers and leap, but in the blink of an eye metal easily that attack.
Metal Sonic rushed and formed a yellow aura and charged into the girls but Gamma used the last of his strength to push them out of the way as The Rotoic villain tore through him like it was nothing.
" Ha!" Amy says noticing Metal used up energy in that special attack as she spun around forming a pink tornado and hits him up as Anne flew up and punches him down causing a dust cloud as smoke rises up.
Suddenly Metal Sonic rushed and choked Amy.
" Come with me or she dies, " Metal Says as Amy was squirming.
"Hey! bucket of bolt brain!" Anne said, which got metal's attention, she landed a first of his knocking him and letting go of amy.
Amy was tearing up noticing what Happened to Gamma as she screamed and charged towards Metal Sonic as she and Anne both tried to attack Metal Sonic who flew over and was going to kill them however the screen turned black.
POW! BLAM! SLAM!
Metal Sonic was sent back as Shadow and Marcy was glaring at Metal Sonic.
"Core," Marcy says, pissed off then turns to look at anne and Amy." Anne, Amy go,"
"About time," Metal Sonic says, as they both get into position.
Shadow rushed towards Metal Sonic who rushed towards Shadow as they both collided fists as a shockwave rang out.
Metal Sonic used his black Shield and rammed into Shadow knocking him back as Marcy glowed green she uses a chaos spear for the first time shooting at metal, who immediately dodges the Projectiles, and goes for the kill only to be stopped by shadow, who got back up fast, elbowing him in the stomach, sending to the ground.
"Don't you dare lay a figure on my sister," he warned.
Metal Sonic scanned for the emerald and saw it wasn't with Marcy as Metal Sonic flew off.
Later Marcy and Shadow arrived back at her house.
"What a day" Marcy says before realizing something " Shads you need to see this " Marcy says as she shows a photo of her and Anne, and Sasha in Wartwood.
"We had this contest in Wartwood We competed," She pointed at the costume she and anne wore after the contest." Anne was a Drag-Anne fly while I was a personification of metamorphosis."
Shadow was confused, then he asked."What was the song you and your friend sang."
"No big deal," He then confused again.`` It's a song about amphibia, making friends and enemies."
He then raises his eyebrows." here I'll give you a sample," she then took a deep breath and sang.
"Took a leap through a box super weird to a swamp where frogs talk, Ooh Now I'm stuck, have no plans, just my luck I'll do the best that I can. Woah-Oh, Making friends and enemies, it's weird but hey it's grown on me! Bugs, Frogs, Newts, and Toads! Gonna be a bumpy road! Flies for snacks, worms for lunch. I think I actually love this swamp! It's no big deal, yeah no big deal! Find a way to start again, brush off the dirt and make some friends! It's no big deal, yeah no big deal! I feel at home in a place that shouldn't be real. Crazy strange but it's no big deal." Marcy sang.
" That was beautiful " Shadow says, Marcy giggled.
"Thanks."
"So do you and your friends win?"
"No."
"Oh, I'm terribly sorry."
"It's okay, we did our best."
Shadow then chuckles then looks at her green stripe in her hair as it is beginning to grow.
"Did your hair just grow?"
" I love it!" Marcy says, then she squeals."This happened when I had this green stripe on the side."
"It looks good on you."
"Really."
Shadow nodded, Before Marcy realized. "Hey, have You told my parents that you're my stepbrother?"
"No, but let's just keep this to ourselves."
"sounds good to me."
Meanwhile Rouge was at her house holding a choas emerald that she stole from Marcy.
" Sorry Mar but I need some jewels " Rouge says.
