Oliver and Thea were sitting around in the living room of the Queen Mansion a couple of weeks later watching television when Thea turned the television off and turned to her brother.
"Let me guess. You have some more stuff from the future that you need to tell me?" Oliver asked.
"Not really from the future, but some of it might have to do with the future." Thea said.
"Ok. I am listening." Oliver said.
"You need to go to Laurel and tell her everything. Don't worry, you won't run her off. You were too secretive in the future and it caused the both of you not to ever get back together. You need to do something different this time around." Thea said.
"Why is this so important to you Speedy?" Oliver asked.
"Because it is one of the things that has to happen in this new timeline. I don't want to push it, but it has to happen if things are going to work out well." Thea said and Oliver nodded.
"Anything else that I need to do?" Oliver asked.
"Save it for last, but show her the picture that she gave you before you left on the Gambit. In the future, you gave it back to her and she kept it until the day that she died. She also admitted that you were the love of her life. I think that means that she is up to giving you another chance. Just take things slow this time around." Thea said.
"So, we never got back together?" Oliver asked.
"You tried a time or two, but you were both so stubborn that it never worked out." Thea said and Oliver nodded because he could see that happening.
"Ok. I guess I could go to her place and talk to her now." Oliver said.
"I think that is a good idea. Go get your girl, Ollie." Thea said and Olviver got up and left the mansion headed to Laurel's apartment.
. . .
About thirty minutes later, Oliver was walking up to Laurel's door and he knocked. He heard her approaching and then he heard her unlocking the door and then opening it.
"Hey Ollie. This is a surprise. Come in." Laurel said as she let him walk into her apartment and closed the door behind him.
"I hope I didn't interrupt anything. I just really needed to talk to you." Oliver said.
"You aren't interrupting anything. So, what is it that you need to talk about?" Laurel asked.
"I came here to tell you everything that happened to me while I was gone. If nothing else, I want to be honest with you now. I don't know if you will ever take me back, but I thought it would be a good way to start." Oliver said.
"You don't have to do that Ollie. I know you are a better person now then you were before. I can tell that by just being around you." Laurel said.
"I appreciate that, Laurel, but I need to do this." Oliver said as they both reached the living room and sat down on the couch.
"Ok. Go ahead." Laurel said.
Oliver went through the first two years and told her everything that had happened on the island. He told her about Slade, Yeo Fei and Shado training him. How Yoe Fei and Shado both died. How Sara showed up with Ivo and that they had to use the Mirakuru on Slade and how he turned on him and Sara. How Sara was lost again. Then he went into year three where he fought the Triad but in the end it was a rogue General who dispersed the gas on Hong Kong. Oliver also told her about Akio dying. Then he went on to year four and told her about the idol and how its magic was fueled by death and how he had ended up stopping the bad guy then as well. Then finally he got to the part where he went to Russia for his friend that died on the island and went after a man that was trying to turn Russia into the Russia of old. He told her how he joined the Bratva and took the man down, or so he thought. He then told her how he went back to the island so that it looked like he was there the whole time. While he was there Kovar found him and used the red death on him. He said he about killed himself, but his vision of her saved him. He made it back outside and killed Kovar and all of his men, then he lit the fire and was picked up by the boat.
"That is a heck of a time that you had there, Ollie. I am glad that you told me everything though. I am surprised that you had a vision of me though." Laurel said.
"Why? You are one of the people in my life that means the most to me." Oliver said.
"I just thought that after what you did on the Gambit with Sara, that you wouldn't think of me in that way anymore." Laurel said.
"Laurel, I did a stupid thing and I am not afraid to admit that. You are the love of my life and I am going to spend the rest of my life trying to prove that to you." Oliver said.
"I love you too, Ollie, but I don't know if I can go down that road again." Laurel said.
"I understand. I just wanted to put everything out there. The ball is in your court now. Oh yeah, I almost forgot." Oliver said as he pulled his wallet out and pulled something out of it.
He turned the object around and Laurel's breath caught. She was surprised to see the picture that she had given him before he got on the Gambit.
"You still have that?" Laurel asked.
"It is what kept me alive more times than not while I was gone." Oliver said.
Laurel stood up and hugged Oliver, realizing that he was telling the truth now.
"I would like to try things again Ollie, but it can't be like it was last time around. We both need to be honest with each other if this is going to work." Laurel said.
"I will do everything that I can to keep that promise to you Laurel. I think we should take things slow and get to know each other again. I think we were moving too fast last time around." Oliver said.
"I can do that. So, how about we start with a date first and then we will go from there." Laurel said with a smile.
"I like that idea. How about Friday at seven. I will pick you up then." Oliver said.
"Sounds good. I will see you at the bunker tomorrow, Ollie." Laurel said.
"Yeah, see you tomorrow." Oliver said as they both got up and walked to the door as Oliver walked out and went home for the night.
