Epilogue
Nathan finished his rounds. He looked at his watch. It was almost time for supper. Nathan made his way home. After declaring their love for each other, Elizabeth and Nathan courted. After 6 months of courting, Nathan asked Elizabeth to marry him. They spent a couple months engaged and had a wedding. At the wedding, Elizabeth adopted Allie and Nathan adopted Jack and they became a family. Nathan insisted that Jack keep Thornton as his last name. Nathan was his earthly father but Nathan wanted to remember his father in heaven that wasn't here to see him grow up but loves him very much.
Nathan was getting closer to the house. The house was built on Jack's land. They used some of Jack's blueprints but also made the house their own. Though Nathan insisted on keeping the number of rooms Jack had planned. Nathan wanted a big clan himself. As Nathan approached the property, he heard Jack call out his name and ran toward him. Nathan ran toward him. Allie wasn't far behind. He swept Jack into his arms and hugged him. When Allie arrived he hugged her. And lastly, Elizabeth walked out to him carrying their child, Theodore "Teddy" Jack Grant. He kissed Elizabeth. He kissed Theodore on the head and kissed Elizabeth's belly. They were welcoming another child into the family in 5 months.
They all started walking inside for supper. Elizabeth commented on how red the sky was that evening. Nathan smiled at the sky. Nathan knew it was Jack giving his approval. Nathan thanked Jack for the promise because without it, he wouldn't have all of this.
