AngelFallenDemon: Yes, she will be a key part and yes Mitsuki will not be happy.
Guest: Even though I deleted your comment about you hating Eevee, I am still curious about why you are still reading my story.
Katsuki was losing his mind.
He had to speak to this Victoria and apologize for his jackass behavior but that also meant he had to immediately face his fears: spiders.
He would rather die than deal with them again, but Izuku only gave him the option to come along with him and apologize after school and face the wrath of his mother when she finds out that 1. He acted quirkist and 2. He had made a girl cry. The blonde didn't know what would trigger his mom the most, Quirkism or lack of chivalry.
Katsuku then remembered the Quirkist whale and whimpered in fear. The Quirkist attitude would make her painfully kill him.
He had some relief as after class he and Izuku found out Shoji had an appointment with the fabric division too, so having extra company seemed to help. He couldn't depend on his girl as she had to head home early, and Honey was being pampered by Koji.
"Bakugou, is everything alright? You seem paler than usual."
"Katsuki's fine, he is facing a dilemma right now." Izuku growled, surprising Shoji and causing his brother to shudder again in fear. "He needs to apologize to Victoria who is willing to help me with my costume and our mom will go full demon on him for his actions.."
"...Why would your mother be angry? Is it something that would incur any mother's rage?" Shoji asked and the look on Izuku's face made him slightly unnerved.
"Depends on the mother…some don't even care for their child."
Perplexed at what he meant until he put some of the pieces of him being adopted. Izuku never really spoke of his past so this was shocking. He decided to just nod and continued walking.
"The Hag is scary when she gets tilted, that's for sure, but…" Katsuku gulped as a nauseous feeling built in his stomach. "I am not a fan of spiders, and…I made a comment that upset her."
"I know for a fact that you aren't Quirkist, but to make a girl cry, no man should ever do." Shoji said, looking down at the blonde disapprovingly. "You must treat girls like a flower, tend to them. Some are hardier, but others aren't and a few take time to blossom." He then added. "Though some are like shooters from a rose bush, sucking all the nutrients from the other buds. Those deserve to be clipped."
"What the hell are you trying to say!?"
"Treat every girl as though they were the most precious thing in the world. The only exception would be any girl who acts like the quirkist bitch." Izuku said bluntly and Katsuki deadpanned.
"She still won't get off my back."
"Then we may need to ask Momo and Mina for an 'intervention'. They told me they have several tricks up their….braziers."
"Izuku…what exactly are you hearing? You are scaring me."
"Oh, you really want to know? Well…let's just say, they have some rather…interesting ideas on what they could do to the bitch, provided they are given the chance. They are just as furious with that fat whale as we are, so I can only imagine how…deep… they will go to enact their own vengeance."
Both boys shuddered, they know all too well the saying Wrath of a Woman Scorned. They are sure they are going to have overactive visions of only a small portion of what those two girls would be planning.
"Especially if they use their Quirks." Izuku chirped, smiling innocently again and walking backwards to look at them both. "Momo-chan's Creations and Mina-chan's Acid would make for some interesting foreplay."
"You…how…we are going to have a very long talk about your sadism, Izuku. You are too scary at times." Katsuki replied, now arriving at the fabric department. "I'm probably going to have to take Valium to help me sleep tonight, haven't been this out of it since the summer."
"Just be careful, last time you took a full dose you were very sluggish and slept for three days basically." Izuku reminded him and he heard his brother growling. "None of us would have thought that it would react with your nitroglycerin."
"I don't think the doctors did either. Mine is explosive nitro, not the medicine, yet they both have similarities. I need to be constantly agitated to keep my heartrate up, and I am still dead as a dog early in the morning."
Izuku nodded and the trio arrived at Victoria's Fabric Department. "Remember, Kacchan. Don't upset her or say anything stupid that you would regret."
"Like I need you to remind me my life is on the line."
Izuku then opened the door and immediately felt his brother try and fail to suppress a massive shudder, and he didn't blame him one bit. The room was filled with webs on every corner, different colors, and in one particular section a massive hammock to fit a certain orb weaver.
"I-Interesting decoration." Katsuki mumbled, mortified at the webs all around them. He did not want to be in there and he was balling his fists to prevent them from defensively sparking. "Wh-where is she, let's get this over with."
"If you aren't comfortable we can move to a different room. I am usually comfortable in this kind of setting but I can make a few adjustments for my client."
"SON OF A-" Katsuki rounded and all of them looked up and found the spiderette above them, looking upside down and staring at them with her golden eyes. She stared even longer into his for a few seconds longer.
"I also would be more comfortable if you don't light my webs, these are just basic threads." Victoria then walked down the sides of the wall and went to the front. "So, I know you and your brother but who are you?"
Shoji bowed and looked at the spiderette. "My name is Shoji Mezo, pleased to make your acquaintance." He then looked back up and looked at her golden eyes, and he was surprisingly tempted to form more of his eyes to give a thorough look. However, he did not want to make her feel uncomfortable or make her feel like she was being part of a circus act. "I am wondering if you or another member of the department will be able to make breathable masks that are wick resistant or waterproof. It makes it harder to breathe when soaked."
Victoria nodded and smiled. "I would be happy to help! You are looking for one that wraps around the face like you have now, stretchable, but needs to be resistant to sweat and large amounts of water, yet still be able to breathe during battle. Probably wanting one that is able to expel carbon and bring in oxygen faster. Hmmm, tricky…yet I can do it!"
She then giggled and then looked at the blonde, who was ready to be in fight or flight mode. "Hey, do you think your brother will be ok? He looks like he is about to have a panic attack."
"No, Kacchan did not have a good experience with spiders when he was 3 so he has been uncomfortable since." Izuku said with a sigh. "Since then he can't even stand webs near the corners."
Victoria nodded in understanding and now understood that his past reaction towards her was not fully directed. "All right, let's go to the room next door then, I don't want anyone to force themselves to face their fears when they aren't ready."
"Please…" That is all the blonde could say before stiffly walking out the door. The spiderette can only look at him with pity. "Poor guy…no wonder he hates me."
"He doesn't hate you, Miss Orbweaver." Shoji said, patting her back and feeling her unconsciously purr. "Trauma is a curious thing."
"Oh I am aware…" She said, remembering some of the events from her former school. "And please, call me Victoria. I know in Japan it is usually last names in formality but I prefer being called by my first. Just not Vickie, I despise that."
"Of course Victoria. A gorgeous name." Shoji replied and the spiderette hitched, blushing at the compliment.
"O-oh, s-sorry!" She replied, looking down and skittering her feet as her heart raced. She did not fully realize it was a compliment and she thought they were teasing her. She only was told that by her mom and her partner, but to everyone else it felt like she was in trouble.
Shoji and Izuku blinked in either surprise and/or pity at what she just said. Izuku knew all too well the symptoms, and he felt for her. She did not have a good beginning either. "Ummm, Victoria? You feel more comfortable and at peace with an environment familiar to you, correct?"
"Y-yes, I can make accommodations, but I would need to know the person I will be working with to do so. I can't have someone just call me to their house without meeting them. I-I…had a bad experience with one like that."
Izuku nodded, and briefly looked at one of her legs that seemed a shade different than the others before looking back. "Since I am your client and not Kacchan, I am willing to stay here. If it was made in a place the seamstress is comfortable with then I am sure it will have better care."
Victoria was surprised at the generosity and accuracy of the verdanette. "O-oh! You don't have to-"
"And if the seamstress is comfortable here then I would be too." Izuku added, causing the spiderette to become silent. "I am putting my trust in you in both body and mind, there aren't very many who I can trust with this."
Victoria understood now about what he might be or have been through and nodded in acknowledgment. "I can make sure the room is visually tight as well as sound tight if you need."
"Izuku…"
Victoria and Izuku looked at the blonde who just popped back in and he sounded betrayed. "We aren't moving to another room?"
Izuku was merciless. "My costume, my choice, Kacchan. You can either wait patiently in here or wait outside."
"If you do decide to wait in here I will have to put some rules. No Quirk usage, no destroying the webs or hammock, and no harassment of any kind including name calling. I can understand the first time but now it will not slide." Victoria said while crossing her arms while skittering, causing the blonde to shudder. "You can wait or relax in my hammock if you need to, I find it very relaxing. I will also keep my spiderlings away from you."
"You control spiders?" Katsuki asked in disbelief, now looking around and his skin felt like it was crawling or being crawled on.
"I don't control, but make accommodations or deals. I don't control them like a beehive, that is more of my mom's thing." The spiderette replied, now noticing the blonde sweating more. "I…think it would be best if you wait outside." She said eventually, ``I don't need anyone passing out in my room."
Katsuki nodded in agreement and waited outside where the bench was near the window facing the garden. He felt pathetic, being afraid of stupid spiders, but when he was 3, those looked like monsters. He growled with his head leaning back before pulling up his phone and texting Eevee, hoping she would help ease his fears.
Victoria, Izuku, and Shoji were left inside and were talking about the fabric and dimensions of the outfits they were requesting, and determined that Shoji's will take some time as Victoria will need a filter from the technological department to weave into the mask for carbon filtration.
For Izuku it is simple enough but the verdanette is very nervous and scared as she would need him to be naked or close to naked. He never showed his scars to anyone except to those who he trusts like Katsuki or Mitsuki since they saved him from his past. However, he developed a type of kinship and he could sense her kindness, so he will trust the spiderette.
"Thank you for coming, Shoji. I will let you know once I get the piece and get started on the mask. I am expecting the filter to be made within 3 days."
"Thank you, Victoria. You have a nice day, and you take care of yourself." Shoji replied and gave an eye smile before leaving the room.
Victoria's heart jolted at the kindness and she laughed nervously. She never felt like this before and it felt good, hopefully, she would get to know him better.
"Shoji is nice, I am sure you two would be great friends."
"I hope so, making friends is so hard." Victoria said with a hopeful yet sad look. "I am covering the area now, if you become uncomfortable or need a break let me know."
Izuku nodded and took several deep breaths, willing his wings inside his core while the process began. He was about one butterfly away when both he and the spiderette jolted in surprise when they heard Katsuki yelling in panic.
"E-eeve, no! It wasn't my fau-I'm sorry!"
Victoria looked at Izuku with a confused look which in turn looked back with a nervous look. "Looks like his girlfriend Eevee found out what he had said…"
"You guys don't tolerate hate do you?"
Izuku's look hardened. "No, any kind of discrimination we don't tolerate, even if by accident. Momma will have his ass later, trust me."
"Uh…hehe, I'm sure. Let's get started now, shall we?"
