I don't own Kingdom Hearts or Green Lantern. They belong to Disney, Square Enix, and DC comics. Hey guys, this took the entire summer to come up with the first chapter but once the first few chapters come out, more should come out a bit more frequently. Now, before we get into this history's version of the Destiny Island trio, let's reply to some reviews.

edboy4926: Glad you like the prologue, and as it happens when the poll was out, not counting your vote at least 5 other people agreed with you and he made the number #2 spot in the poll, so chances are you might see him with a new ring. As for the other corps... I can't say anything yet... spoilers, you know.

olehbilenko93: Well, took it until the beginning of Fall of 2022 but here you go! Enjoy!

The Keeper of Worlds: Same here! I hope this chapter alone at least was worth the wait!

Dark Gold Writings: As a matter of fact, I will. Thank you. Please, enjoy!

johnymike98: Let's see... On the poll, we got 5 voters for Anna, 4 for Stitch, and sadly none for Simba but don't worry. Chances are, you'll see that poll up again and you can make an input, and votes could change. There's still a chance.

Guest02957: Some of these questions get answered in this chapter so I take a look! Glad you like the idea of how Sora gets his power ring and battery. I could see Hal happily passing down his ring to him.

Guest: As I mentioned before Simba didn't get any votes but that can change when the poll is up again. However, at the moment Aladdin has three voters. I can't say anything about the other Lantern Corps! Spoilers!

Guest: Again, I can't say anything about the other Lantern Corps! Spoilers! For now, stick with green!

What If Universe: I know Kingdom Hearts story isn't an easy concept to understand, so I try my best to fill in the holes. Glad you like the concept though, and it's not too late to dive into them. It's a fun game series. Funny enough, as of right now Spider-Man is in the number one spot for voters. Elsa's tied in fourth. Buzz is tied in fifth. And Captain Jack Sparrow... so far only has one vote and Judy... has none but again anything can change. And that seems about right. The top five are always fun. And changes are you might seem some of them with rings as the story goes by.

twilightnite13: Yes... but if they were killed off years ago during the great Keyblade War, we don't see anyone from that time getting to the present if their Heartless and Nobody is destroyed unless Time Travel shenanigans are going on. So, for plot's sake, they were swallowed by the darkness, and to save them is far overdue so their gone. End of discussion. I didn't like how the other seasons of Young Justice turned out but I was glad to see Razor's story continued in a way. I can say much about the other Corps though without spoilers. Sorry.

Guest: He's currently the number 1 on the polls so we'll see...

Guest: Yeah... there's going to be slim to no DC characters in this... hero or villain... they were all wiped out during the Keyblade War... in the very opening prologue. Also, want to apologize, I only meant to delete the extra review you made.

Now, with that out of the way, here is the first chapter! Enjoy!

Chapter 1: Sora's New Begining

"Master Xehanort was a devious man in many realities," The Watcher turned to the elder Keyblade Master, "His desire was to recreate the Keyblade War and bring darkness to the worlds as it once did, but this time, he'd rule all to prevent the darkness from overtaking the hearts of the people again."

"In you're reality, the Keyblade Wielders known as Aqua, Terra, and Ventus sacrificed everything to prevent Xehanort and his dark apprentice Vanitas from accomplishing this goal," The Watcher turned to the reality that left Ventus in a coma while his heart slept, Xehanort had taking over his body leaving his Lingering Will alone in the Keyblade Graveyard, all while Aqua remained trapped within the Realm of Darkness for over ten years, "This events would lead to the birth of three new Keyblade Wielders who would unite to fight against Xehanort's Heartless, Nobody, and eventually the real Xehanort himself. Sora, the Keyblade Wielder unlike any before, who would come to save the universe on a regular basis. Riku, the legacy of Terra, and the who walks the Road to Dawn. And the newest member, Kairi, the first Princess of Heart to ever wield the Keyblade."

"But in this timeline, instead of heading straight for the Keyblade Graveyard, Ventus, Terra, and Aqua sought the aid of the retired Keyblade Master, Yen Sid. With his aid, the three heroes were able to stop Xehanort without any necessary sacrifices," The Watcher turned to the current reality with Xehanort's defeat, and Vanitas was captured as Yen Sid and the three Keyblade Wielders look down upon him, "Because of this, the Age of the Seekers of Darkness would never come to pass. As another result, since Riku would never be conned by the likes of Xehanort's Heartless or his dark allies, he would never succumb to darkness, and the Keyblade would have no reason to move on Sora as its next candidate."

"Terra would have come back for him once he overcame his own darkness within his heart, and begin training him to become a Keyblade Master with the aid of Aqua and Ventus," The Watcher explained as Terra instructed a fifteen-year-old Riku with his Kingdom Key Keyblade. While Sora and Kairi looked happy for him, "This would mean Sora would never become the unlikely Keyblade Wielder who saved the worlds... but just like the old saying, 'When one opportunity closes, another opens...'"

It had been a year since Riku began his training to become a Keyblade Master. He was the envy of many of his friends. Although he was still close as ever to his two best friends even after he received the Keyblade. Sora and Kairi watched as Riku practice his swings with the Kingdom Key. Sora had nearly forgotten about his encounter with Master Terra all those years ago. Same with Master Aqua.

Just before then, the three of them always dreamed of seeing the world outside their own. Especially when Kairi appeared on the Destiny Islands just after their first encounter with the Keyblade Masters. They tried a year ago by using a raft... it didn't go so well. Thankfully, Masters Terra, Aqua, and Ven came before they were lost to the sea. Since then, they began to instruct the next generation of Keyblade Wielders. While Sora and Kairi asked if they could become Keyblade Masters, Aqua insisted one Keyblade was enough for any friendship as it nearly drew them apart years ago.

Riku knew then he would have the strength to protect what matters and see what was beyond his island. However, due to the fact, that he had to protect the world order, his friends weren't allowed to travel with him to the other worlds.

They sort of brought some sadness among the three of them, but Aqua also mentioned Kairi came from a world called Radiant Garden. However, dark forces were now in control of the world so Kairi was unable to return for the time. Although she didn't mind, while she had no memories of her life on that world, she was more than happy with the ones she made on this one with her best friends.

As Riku continued swinging around his Keyblade, Kairi turned to Sora, "You know, I think he's getting better each day now."

"Yeah," Sora nodded as at this point wasn't even looking at Riku. He just admire Kairi's beauty and kindness, they had been friends for more than eleven years now, and his feelings for her also grew. He also knew Riku had feelings over Kairi as well. Heck, before the Keyblade, they made had competed against each other to impress her, it did help make them stronger.

However, now that Riku held the Keyblade, and practically become the island's hero and protector from the darkness... how was he supposed to compete with that. This was even a bigger disappointment to Sora even more than the fact he couldn't travel among the other worlds with his best friends. He even once tried to convince Master Ventus, who had become like an older brother to him, to pass down a Keyblade to him once. Ven just told him that a Keyblade wouldn't help that. That he should just be himself.

Easy to say, when he wished he was more like Riku. But that was okay, he did have one advantage of being himself. He had friends like him and Kairi. He just wished he had something more with Kairi. Maybe share a paopu with her. The drawing of it still remained in the cave. Luckily Kairi hadn't noticed it yet. He would probably die of embarrassment if that even happens. She might even laugh at him for purposing such an idea.

Maybe it was for the best she never knew. Heck, now that Riku had the Keyblade, he couldn't really keep up with him. Even in racing, Riku had learned technics that allowed him to be superior in racing now, heck he could have sworn him seen he swore through the skies. He actually missed the days when they pushed themselves to be stronger. Now, Riku had surpassed him to levels that he couldn't come up with anymore.

Riku continued his training before stopping and realized, "Sorry... it would seem ever since I've got the Keyblade, I've spent a lot less time with you two." He put away his Keyblade as he offered, "C'mon, why don't we get ice cream and catch up."

"That sounds great," Kairi smiled.

Sora nodded, "Sure, maybe you can tell us a bit of the outside world."

Riku nodded as they head back to the main part of the island and grabbed some sea salt ice cream as they sat on their favorite tree. Time passed as the three friends talked about recent events, school, tv shows, and of course, talking about Riku's journey through the worlds. He mentioned that he had been in all sorts of strange places, a world that was always Halloween, another where heroes from all around would participate in Games fighting monsters and sometimes some friendly competition against each other, and another which was a world that most people of that world were all mad led by a bloodthirsty ruler. There was even one you could actually fly with the help of... as Riku put it... fairy dust.

He was living the dream the three of them had since they were small children. Even though only Riku had the means to travel to them.

As the sun set on the islands, Sora and Kairi told Riku what they were up to. Not as interesting as the adventures, Riku had... they talked about school, how their other friends have been. Sora had recently taught Kairi how to defend herself with a sword much to his disbelief. Kairi even proved this to him by holding her own against Shelpie, Tidus, and Wakka as Sora recorded it on his phone.

"Man... I missed out on a lot," Riku shook his head, "You two been busy."

"We've been busy?" Kairi stared at him in disbelief, "You're the one who's been gone for a week now. What have you really been up to."

Riku froze for a second, before frowning, "Well... I didn't want to worry you guys... but..."

"But what?" Sora tilted his head.

"Dark forces have been spread across the other worlds," Riku admitted, "The Heartless have been acting up far more the usual, and even worse, some of the Princesses of Heart are missing from their worlds."

Sora and Kairi gasped in shock. Riku had filled them in on how dangerous the Heartless were... monsters that were after people's hearts... and how important the Seven Princesses of Heart were to the worlds. Kairi thought back before wondering, "You don't think it has anything to do with..."

"No, Xehanort's gone," Riku reassured them, "Master Yen Sid himself made sure of it. And Vanitas is still locked up tightly. Although, we may have a theory that Xehanort talked to someone about both the princesses and the other worlds before he was destroyed. They might be picking up where he started."

"Is there anything we can do to help?" Sora asked.

"Sorry, Sora," Riku shook his head, "You still just get in the way."

The spikey hair boy frowned at that, "Aw, Riku..."

"Trust me," The silver head told his two best friends, "You wouldn't last long what we're up against. You both are much safer here. If anything happened to you two... well... I don't know what I'd do."

Kairi sighed with a sad smile, "We know... we just wish there was something we can do to help."

"I know," Riku nodded in understanding, "Listen, you might not see me for a while. Don't worry. I'll be fine out there. I'm not alone in this fight."

As the sun finally set, Riku told the two, "You better head home. Your parents might start to worry."

"Yeah, yeah," Sora nodded, "Just how do you think your mom feels about all of this."

"Point taken," Riku chuckled, "I should probably say something to her too." He then looked up to them, "If I don't see you two again, take care."

The two teens nodded, as Kairi smiled, "You too."

Riku nodded as he headed to his boat, Kairi proceeded to do the same, before realizing Sora hadn't moved from his spot, "Hey, you coming?"

"Yeah," Sora nodded as he looked up to the evening sky, "I'll be a minute."

She nodded as both she and Riku started heading to the main island. Unaware of the duo, Sora caught a glimpse at a shooting star. He lightly chuckled. When they were kids, they would wish on every shooting star in hopes their dreams would come true. It was a silly childish thing but... he supposed one last time couldn't hurt. He closed his eyes, "I wish I could be strong enough to help my friends like Riku... and Kairi."

He opened his eyes. Normally nothing would happen but something was different this time. As the shooting star wasn't its usual color... it was green. Sora's eyes narrowed, "What the...?!"

To make matters worse, the shooting star... Sora's eyes widened in horror as he started to run, "...IS COMING RIGHT AT ME!"

As the falling star headed closer and closer to the island, Sora braced for impact as he hid behind one of the trees nearby. However, there was no explosion or anything destructive. In fact, it was silent, he turned around to notice a green lantern floating behind the tree. Sora blinked in shock, "What?"

"Searching for Replacement..." He heard a robotic voice coming from a green ring that flew further from the lantern and closer to Sora, "Replacement Found." The ring flew to Sora's face, "Sora Hikari of the Destiny Islands."

"Huh?" Sora gasped in shock. How did this ring know his name? He replied, "Uh... yes."

"You Have the Ability to Overcome Great Fear," The ring flew around him before sliding onto his middle finger as green light swirled around him changing his clothes. His fingerless gloves became black and green hand guards. His hood short-sleeved shirt turned black highlighted with green on the edges along with his pants. His oversized shoes shrank as they turned black and green. Finally, his undershirt turned black but with a white circle, and inside the circle was a green lantern symbol that was on the ring which Sora assumed had to do with the lantern. The only thing about his clothes that remained unchanged was the shiver crown necklace around his neck. When the light show was over, the ring told him, "Welcome to the Green Lantern Corps."

Sora observed his new look as he took a step back, tugging on his hooded shirt, "What is this?"

The ring replied, "That is your Green Lantern Corps uniform, Green Lantern Sora Hakiri. Alterations can be made."

"No, no this is fine," Sora replied as he had to admit, he did like the clothes but he was more concerned about how he got them, "The clothes are fine. I mean... what is all of this?! What's happening to me?"

"You Have the Ability to Overcome Great Fear. Welcome to the Green Lantern Corps." The ring repeated.

Sora blinked again, as he sarcastically replied, "Right. Cause that clears so much up."

Just then, the lantern fell into his arms, Sora blinked in shock, "What's this?"

"Your Power Battery," The ring responded, "You can use this to charge your power ring."

Sora blinked in confusion, "Charge my ring? I don't even know what a power ring is or why would need to charge... it..." As he was saying this, he didn't even realize he wasn't touching the ground of the island anymore, "What?" He then pinched himself to make sure he wasn't sleeping... again. That's when he realized, "This isn't a dream... I can fly?"

He then aimed his newly acquired ring to push himself forward in the direction he wanted to go and he did. Sora began laughing as he beamed, "I CAN FLY!"

He then zoomed off. Flying around the island many times having the time of his life. All shock and confusion were gone as he was beginning to take a liking to his new ring before flying back to the main island, leaving his boat behind. Sora beamed, "This is sooooo coooool! Hey, what else can I do?!"

After a minute, Sora called out, "Excuse me?!"

"Are you talking to me, Green Lantern Sora Hakiri?" The ring asked.

Sora pointed out with a chuckle, "Not exactly talking to anyone else."

"To avoid future confusion, consider addressing me as 'Ring.'" The power ring responded.

"Okay, Ring!" Sora beamed as he flew just inches over the ocean waters at great speed, "So, what else can I do?"

"Like all Green Lanterns, you can create constructs to overcome obstacles," The ring answered.

Sora stopped in mid-air before turning to his ring, "Huh? What does that mean?" Just then, he spotted a shark fin come out of the water causing a bit of shock for the new Green Lantern, "Woah!"

He stopped concentrating on flying and fell into the waters below. Seeing the shark in full and how close he was to it, Sora's eyes widened in shock. Even more so as it charged right at him. He raised his hands to shield himself, and a green energy shield formed around him stopping the shark from taking a bite out of him. It retreated causing even a bigger shock for Sora, wondering what happened, 'Did I do that?'

Turning at his ring as the shield disappeared and green light protected him from the waters around him, allowing him to breathe underwater, a smirk slowly formed, "Oh... now I get it."

As the shark, came at him a second time, Sora smirked back at it as he pulled back his fist, he created a much bigger fist around it, "Sorry pal, I'm lunch break's over!"

He then threw the green giant fist punching the daylights out of the shark and sent flying away. At that point, it decided Sora was too much trouble and baited a hasty retreat. Sora smirked remained before flying out of the water, "That was awesome! What else can I make?"

He then thought out loud, "Uh... A boat!"

He then formed a construct of a boat similar to the ones he and his friends used to get on and off one island to another.

"A baseball bat!"

And the boat changed into a baseball bat.

"A car!"

The bat then became a smooth green car.

"A giant hammer!"

The car then became a giant hammer.

"This is so cool!" Sora beamed happily, "I can't wait to tell Kairi!"

Suddenly, in his mind, the hammer changed once again to an image of a construct of Kairi only wearing a green bikini, smiling at him. Sora's face turned red and quickly tried to make it vanish. Took him a minute or two to figure out how. When he did, he sighed in relief, "Phew! I really hope no one saw that..."

He then thought of one more thing he wanted to try, he stretched out his arm and used the ring to make a construct of an exact replica of Riku's Kingdom Key Keyblade. Taking to construct weapon in his hands, he gave it a few swings, before giving a satisfied smile, "Oh... this will do..."

Making the copy Keyblade vanish, he then flew off to the main island, "Now, I gotta show this off to Riku and Kairi."

Riku escort Kairi back to her house, the former smiled, "Home sweet home." He then noticed something about Kairi seemed off, he asked her, "You okay."

"I'm a little worried about Sora," She answered.

"As long as you two remain here, you'll be..." The Keyblade Wielder told her.

She quickly cut him off, "No, not like that! Ever since you got the Keyblade, you got to live your dream. A dream you can't share without other than a few stories." She then admitted, "I think might be a little jealous."

Riku stared at her strangely for a second, "We're talking about the same guy, right? Spikey hair? Go happy lucky attitude? Friendliest teenage boy alive?"

"I'm serious, Riku," The mayor's daughter crossed her arms, "Before the Keyblade, you and Sora could keep each other on your toes. Push yourselves to become better. Now, you beat him a basically everything."

"That's not true," The silver head shook his head, "He wipes mine and everyone's butt in every board game and video game ever..." He then muttered to himself, "And I still don't know how he does it."

"Look put yourself in Sora's shoes," Kairi told him, "If got the Keyblade instead of you, how would you feel?"

"Now that's ridiculous, I would be nothing but happy for..." He started to argue until Kairi glared at him tapping her foot, he sighed, "Oh, who am I kidding? I would have been extremely jealous."

"And you wouldn't have held back those thoughts too," She added, "Sora does a better job bottling it up but..."

"You're right," Riku sighed, "I need to talk to him. When he gets back to the mainland, I will talk about it straight a..." This earned him an appreciative smile from Kairi until he stopped mid-sentence as his eyes widened, "By Kingdom Heart's Light! What is that?!"

The mayor's foster daughter blinked before turning around for a second before turning around to see a green light coming right at them, "WHAT THE..."

Riku quickly stepped in front of her, as the Keyblade appeared in his hand, ready to fight off if the thing was dangerous. However, that worry vanished when a familiar voice called out from it, "RIKU! KAIRI!"

Both blinked for a moment as they realized who it was, "SORA?!"

The light died down as the new Green Lantern slowed his flight before stopping just a few feet away and above them. Sora held up his power ring, with an excited grin on his face, "Guys! You'll never believe what happened!"

If it weren't for the fact that Sora was glowing, had a new suit and ring, and was flying, their two best friends of Sora would have a hard time believing what happened to him since they left the play island...

And that will conclude today's chapter. Sora's now a member of the Green Lantern Corps... and he has no idea what that means but so far, he's like the benefits. We got a bit of back story of what happened so as a quick review. Instead of going straight the Keyblade Graveyard like Xehanort intended, Aqua, Terra, and Yen regrouped at Yen Sid's, and with his help, they caught Xehanort unaware and strike him down while Vanitas was captured... and that will come into play later but now, when Riku received the Keyblade he has three mentors watch over his training other than Yen Sid and Mickey. And well, you know the rest. So far anyway, how crazy things get from here will have to continue in the next chapter.

How will Riku and Kairi react to Sora's new ring? How will the Keyblade Masters react? And most importantly, what happens when darkness returns with a vengeance? Stay tuned...

I hope you enjoyed the chapter. Be sure to leave a review. Also, be sure to leave a fav and follow if you haven't already. Man two chapters in one week. Crazy right? Well, until next time, may your heart be your guiding key and I'll see ya real soon!
