Day 25- Burn Out: Rex
Rex's hated to hold the belief that to be successful he would need to be cold-hearted and tough. That he needed to be this killing machine.
But the narrative surrounded him. It was so hard to escape that idea…
Rex wouldn't say he was a cold-hearted killing machine. But he wasn't going to pretend that his life hadn't made his heart and outlook on life more skeptical. Constant pain changed a person.
Ahsoka was a shocking light that came into his life. Her genuineness and innocence was like fresh air. He never wanted her to lose that.
Any storm they faced, she helped lead the way, lighting a path, comforting him and the men.
Ahsoka combatted the pain Rex felt every time he'd lose a brother. Her positive outlook, her hopefulness, helped him believe maybe it would be worth it. Maybe it would all be worth it…
She was a light to him and to the men, and Rex could only hope that it would never burn out.
