"Hello there young one, are you okay?" I ask him, his mouth quivering.

She wasn't able to speak, so I picked him up from the dumpster. She tried to struggle, but I can tell she was weak right now. With a light glowing from my hands, I placed my hand on her head.

"Recovery," I say, the injury marks on him disappear.

She was fully healed, but I can tell she was hungry and thirsty. I did my fair share of hero work for the day, I held her with one of my arms, and we passed under a bridge toward my home. As soon as I passed under the bridge, the manhole that I passed under sprung open and a sludge villain appeared.

"Damn, I thought I will be getting a good target to control, gotta run!" It says, about to run away.

"Light Imprisonment," I say, I make a light translucent box around it.

Trapping him and clenching my hand. I made the box smaller and as tight as it can be, the villain was trapped in there. I grab the cube the size of my hand, tossing it up in the air as I stop by the police station. Entering with the kid in my arms as I drop off the villain up at the front.

"What's this?" They ask.

"Some sludge villain, running away, beats me for what that was doing," I say back.

"Hey! Isn't that the sludge villain that robbed the bank 53 minutes ago!" Someone yells from across the room, looking at the box.

"Really? Well, I will be damned, I thought All Might would get this villain. Well thanks for the help, Endure," He says, taking the box and giving it to another officer.

"As I said, the pleasure is all mine," I bow, taking a step out before someone calls me.

"Hey, who was that kid you're holding?" One yelled.

"Someone I just found," I responded before leaving.

"Huh, strange."

"You think that's his kid?" Another officer says.

"Maybe, honestly he doesn't open his personal life."

"That's true, I mean. Nothing other than being an archeologist."

"Him? Well, his hero outfit makes sense, he is a knight after all."

"Hm, yeah."

I unlock the door to my small house, walk in, and lock it. I set her down on my couch, then headed to the kitchen and opened the fridge. I looked around in it, grabbing ingredients to make Okonomiyaki. Put it all in a batter first, then grab a pan to make it. After some time, I finished cooking and it looked better than the recipe image I was following. I put the plate of Okonomiyaki on the coffee table, where she was sitting up straight on the couch. Place down a fork and some other things that you would eat with, and put down a glass of water.

"Enjoy, please eat the food," I say, I sat down on another couch.

She was still frightened, I can tell just by looking at her. She takes the fork with her right hand, then takes a piece off and bites it down. She stood there for a few seconds, me thinking I must have got something wrong with the recipe. Before she started munching down on it, I guess I was wrong. She finished the plate clean, and the water was gone too, must have lived like this for probably years. I noticed a stench that filled the room, realizing she hasn't had a bath for some time.

"Well, time for a bath. Look at you, you got dirt smudges and such on you," I say, picking her up.

When I picked her up, she was calmer than before. I can tell I gain enough trust with her, so I head to the bathroom. I realized there were no fitting clothes for her at the moment. I think it's fine, but I'll have to go to the store with her quickly after this. For now, I grabbed a shampoo from the sink cabinet. Placed it near the bathtub that she's in, I turned the faucet and the water spewed out. Steamy and hot, after filling the bath I turned off the faucet. I took off my gauntlets and washed her hair with water. Then apply some of the shampoos on her, and scrub her hair with them. After her hair was soapy, I washed it down and grabbed a bar of soap. Washing her body and avoiding the parts, I dared the gods If I was to do that. After I finished cleaning her up, I dried her with a towel and had some small clothes to spare. She looks very pretty, I can tell she enjoyed it. It never came to mind, I should ask her origin.

"What is your name, young one?" I ask, both of us walking out of the bathroom.

"Um, Minako," She said, tapping both her fingers together.

"I see, do you have parents?"

"I would rather not."

"Ok, come on. Let's go look for clothes for you to wear, those clothes don't fit you at the moment."

We take off, with her comment in mind about not having parents. Maybe she was a foster kid, it doesn't matter at this point. We went into a store, and my friend who worked there saw me.

"Hey, good to see you. What can I get you?" She says, leaning against the register.

"Akiro, do you have clothes for this young lady right here?" I say, revealing Minako.

"Oh, how pretty. Yes, we have some clothes I have in mind, let's go," Akiro says, walking out as we all walk to the changing area, "Hey wanted to ask, is that your daughter?"

"Uh, yes she is," I say, but also lying at the same time.

"She looks so pretty just by looking at her, but we can make her more beautiful," She says, with a grin growing on her face.

"Sure, just do whatever needs to be done. Just need some simple clothes, panties, bras, and such."

"Gotcha."

We arrived, and I sat down near the changing room. Akiro grabbed some clothes and such and went in with Minako. I waited for a few minutes before they left and Minako's appearance changed completely. She looked neater than before, her hair brushed out and clothes with the pallet of the night.

"Well, what do we think?" Akiro asks, presenting Minako.

"I think that looks very lovely," I say, Akiro throwing her fist out of excitement.

"Alright, another satisfied customer!" She says, Minako smiling.

I paid for the clothes and the extras, and Minako and I walked out back to my small home.

"Um, thank you for saving me," Minako says.

"You're most welcome, you shall be living with me from now on. You'll be safe from the harms that impacted you," I say, putting my hand out.

"Thank you," She says, smiling and she grabs my hand.

Together we walk down the streets of Japan, just me and her. It brings good memories back, although I never raised a kid of my own. I remember how to though, that was my first ever order as a knight's guard. I hope the sun shines upon the two of us, and the next era begins.
