(So after MsRosePetal mentioned wanting to see a part 2 of this with the 40s style date happening I found I couldn't get the idea out o fmy own head and this is the result hehe :) I hope you enjoy! It's nothing but fluffy sappy sweet stuff. I own nothing but my OC.)

Ugh...What a day! A soft groan leaves your system as you collapse face first onto the couch.

It seemed like non-stop hustle and bustle all day long from start to finish and it didn't help that you had one customer throw their pasta all over you for bringing it to their table a minute late or that your hand still throbbed from when you accidentally closed a cabinet door on it while trying to find more tea bags.

Your plan for the rest of the night, since Bucky had left on a mission, was just lay here until the morning and hope you would have some more energy and will to at least make it to the bedroom then.

Your plans were shattered however when the sound of a key jangling through the lock and the front door being pulled open and then shut caught your attention.

"Doll?...What are you doing on the couch like that?" Bucky's half concerned, half amused voice filled your ears. The soft sound of him setting some rustly pacakges down, then dropping his keys in the dish made you turn your head slowly to the side until you saw him drop down next to you by the couch, his familiar warm eyes greeting you before his hand came up to stroke your cheek.

"Hey, there's my Darling. Are you okay?" He asked, sounding genuinely concerned as he gently moved a strand of hair from your face.

You shrugged, letting out a gusty sigh before awkwardly reaching out for him. A lopsided smile quirked his face when your fingers lightly stroked down his jawline.

"I guess so...It's just been a long day." You murmured, closing your eyes again as your boyfriend's gentle caresses sent a calming sensation through you.

"Awww Doll..." You felt him press a tender loving kiss to your forehead. You smiled.

"Can I please have another one of those? Please?" You ask shyly. Bucky chuckled in amusement before reaching over with his other hand to pull you up from your awkward position on the couch.

Still smiling, he leaned forward and this time kissed you right on the lips. Your eyes still closed, you smiled and kissed him back.

"Thank you."

"Any time." Bucky started to let his hands slide off of you, but you caught him metal hand before it could completely fall away.

"So...how was your a mission? A quick one this time, I guess?"

Bucky's brow furrowed as he shook his head. "Not really. I mean...it's not just anywhere you can find clothing from the 40's." He said nonchalantly. You start to nod until your brain registered what he said and your eyes flew open.

"Bucky you!...You're weari..." You gaped, unable to finish a sentence as your finally noticed and took in the uniform Bucky was wearing.

Bucky laughed at the look on your face. "What do you think? I mean...it's not exactly the one I wore back then, but...I mean it was all I could find. I-." You cut him off by cupping his cheek in your hand again.

"You look amazing, Buck. It's just like your picture in the museum." You begin to beam as you really take in the World War II style soldier's uniform your boyfriend was wearing. Bucky beams back as you notice that he was even wearing his dog tags necklace hanging out in front of his shirt instead of tucking it inside like he usually did.

As you start to run your fingers over the tags, Bucky suddenly shifts back to a standing position, his eyes lighting up suddenly.

"Oh! I almost forgot! I found something for you too, Doll!" Bounding back towards the foyer, he picked up the bag he set down earlier and eagerly brought it over to show you.

You gasp, your hands flying to cover your gaping mouth when Bucky lifted a beautiful rose colored 40's style swing dress in just your size.

"Oh Baby..." You're at a loss for words. When you had originally brought up the idea to have a 40's style date, you were being serious, but you never dreamed Bucky would go all out like this.

"Here." Bucky held the dress out closer to you. "Go to the bedroom and put it on. I'll set everything else up while you're doing that." Accepting the dress, you bounce up on your feet, suddenly way more energetic than you had felt a few minutes ago and leaned up on your toes to press a soft gentle kiss to the end of Bucky's nose.

"Thank you Bucky." He nods, grinning as you hurry away to get changed in your bedroom. "My pleasure, Darling."

It didn't take long to get changed. The real problem for awhile was your hair. Finally you decided to take it out of the ponytail you had it in and brush it out before pinning it back on one side with a hair pin.

Finally you re-emerge into the living room and pause at the sight that meets your eyes. Bucky is standing by the record player carefully lowering the needle onto the vinyl he'd set inside.

He was now wearing a hat on his head and you noticed that he had also set and lit some candles on the end table. The couch you had previously been lying on was pushed back a bit and the coffee table was gone.

You feel your breath hitch with anticipation of what was about to happen when you heard the fuzzy sound of the record starting up.

Almost as if he had heard you, Bucky turned on the spot towards you and smiling, he removed his hat and held out his hand towards you.

"Ma'am? May I have the honor?"

Without hesitating, you move forwards to take his hand, giggling a bit when he pulled you in, tucking his metal hand at your waist. Slowly you began to sway to Glenn Miller's "Moonlight Serenade", not taking your eyes off the blue ones in front of you.

"You look gorgeous, Doll." Bucky murmured as he began to lead you around your little living room. You felt a blush lighting your cheeks.

"You're a sight for sore eyes yourself, Sergeant." Your murmur back, leaning closer and laying your head against his chest. Bucky's smile grew.

"You know, if I had known you back then, I would have taken you dancing at the nicest club in Brooklyn. We'd dance all night long together to all the greats until neither of us could stay standing any longer...that or until Steve had to go home." He chuckled

You laugh with him. "Well, can I tell you something Bucky?" You asked quietly. Bucky nods. "Sure."

"I'm...actually really glad I didn't know you back then." This almost makes Bucky stop dancing with you. "What do you mean? I thought..." He trails off, worry starting to crease his expression at your words.

You quickly press another kiss, this time to his cheek to soothe him before explaining yourself. "I just mean...if i had been born at the same you were and dated you in the 1940s, I would have lost you after you got drafted into the 107th. I would never have known what really happened to you on that train. All I would have known...is that I was never seeing you again."

You take a deep breath before continuing. "The dance hall sounds nice though and I love this dress." You glanced down to look at your outfit again and noticed that you were almost stepping on Bucky's toes.

Bucky pulls you back in when you start to back up and dips you gently down towards the floor. "I'm glad you like it. And I'm glad too...that we didn't lose each other back then...I'm glad I've got you now." The words come out as a whisper as he pulls you back up then takes you for another turn about the room.

You smile and let him twirl you around as the soft jazzy tune continues to play. "Me too, Bucky." Another spin and you're pressed up against Bucky's chest again.

"Can we...can we do this again sometime?" You ask softly. Smiling back at you, Bucky nods as the song draws slowly to a close.

"Of course. Anything for you Doll."
