Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Psychic Nightmare the 3700-word chapter. I don't own X-Men, Disney, Marvel, and a few others do.

Rachal knew for a fact that this wasn't yet over so easily. If it was? well, there'd be too many problems to add to the pile. No, if Zainn had listened? It would have been worse… Though she was glad to have a backup as Storm engaged Magneto.

Erik was no fool and he could tell the odds would turn against him sooner or later. Sure, he could destroy this entire town and destroy Xavier's flock of children and students. Yet? That'd gain him nothing to capture the kids.

They had escaped him and it was clear any advantage he had like surprise or numbers over the kids was lost. They'd be vulnerable for a time and he could afford to have Charles train them, they'd just lack their true potential, for now, a small price to pay.

"You've won this time, Charles… I'll leave the children in your hands for now… I shall return when they are prepared to learn what it means to live in a world where we are hunted for existing." Magneto stated before he turned and turned to start to look around, too thrown about by this sudden change in antics to have any type of bearing across this.

He didn't know, perhaps that was just part of what had been decided for him… Before he was able to finally think properly.

"If this is what you wish? Then I'll let you see for yourself how kindly our people fit in, child… We do not what else will happen next before it came down to it." Magneto stated before he flew off.

"Yeah, told you we could take…" Zainn started to say before he coughed painfully.

Rachal turned in time to watch blood drip down his mouth before the teenager slumped to the ground, his legs turning into noodles as he passed out. The teen slumped against some debris from the tunnel as Kurt turned in horror.

"ZAINN!" Rachal and Kurt yelled as the two X-Men flew over towards him, his friends surrounding him as they went. "Damn it, he must not be used to his powers yet. His body strained itself." Rachal muttered as she looked him over.

"Is he going to be, ok?" Donnie asked as Rachal picked him up.

"I don't know, I'll need to let the others see him. Kurt, get Professor Xavier." Rachal said before she started to float towards the Blackbird. "All right, follow me, we're getting out of here. If Magneto comes back? He's going to rip through us." Rachal said before she flew towards the craft.

Donnie watched the redhead lift his friend off the ground before floating towards the craft. There was no damn way they'd be ready for the time when they'd be in combat. Zainn was always a brave idiot and the others often wondered what he'd be like when push came to shove.

"Is he going to die?" Donnie asked to which Rachal shook her head and looked around with a frown, unsure of what to have said or done for now when all of it was over.

"He's going to live. I just have to get him to the professor… And it seems the rest of the Brotherhood is retreating." Rachal said as she checked and confirmed they were indeed leaving.

She'd have tried to capture them if it was possible but she was in a rut as it were. If she tried to capture them? They'd either escape or one of them would end up breaking the others outward. It didn't stop her from trying and yet she knew pretty well that if something like this happened? Sabretooth or Mystique wouldn't be locked up for more than a day or so with their abilities.

She damn well pitied the people who were supposed to guard them. Horrible deaths would have waited for them…. Just like a horrid death awaited Zainn if she didn't speed up for now.

She flew to Xavier who was conversing with Storm and Wolverine. He turned in an instant to Rachal who held the boy in her arms with some effort.

"Rachal, is he ok? You are all right, yes?" Xavier questioned to which she nodded. "Good. Storm? Please get the Blackbird and then the first aid kit… I fear one of us has gotten injured." Xavier added to which the order was followed without question.

He frowned and looked at Zainn. He cursed Erik for his ways. If he cared enough about their species to save them? How the hell didn't he care enough not to put them in danger? He knew his team was also put in danger which would have made him a hypocrite. Yet? He knew well enough that they had to fight. Xavier did not revel in the conflict; he did not constantly adore violence and murder in their most base forms when all of it was said and done.

"I thank you, Rachal. You've helped the children make it this far. The only hurdle left will be ensuring we escape and return to the mansion." Xavier said before he turned to the others. "Your friend will be all right. While I don't praise you for facing Magneto when you are not ready? Your friend's bravery and compassion for my students like Ms. Grey here are commendable. I thank you for that." Xavier said before he lowered his hands.

"How did he…?" Donnie started to say before Rachal put a finger to her head. "Wait, so he can read our minds?" Donnie asked to which Xavier hummed.

"I can grasp the gist of what had occurred when I saw him battling Rachal, but yes," Xavier stated before he tapped at his forehead. "Now? if you heard what Magneto has said? Then I'll offer a choice. You can both come to my school, hone your abilities, and chose if you wish to use these unique talents for good or for yourselves… I believe Zainn will wish to join considering his thoughts and his growing bond with both Kurt and Rachal." Xavier stated to which he sighed to himself.

"You are taking Zainn?" Donnie asked to which Xavier shook his head.

"No, healing him. I'd take him if he wished to go. I'm talking with him telepathically as we speak. He's quite interested in his powers. The boy has a bright future ahead of him, honestly. It's such an odd thing." He stated to which there was some silence before he sighed and shook his head.

"Then what's going to happen? You are just going to sign him up for certain plans at the moment, yet you don't want to tell us?" Donnie stated to which Xavier shook his head.

"Ask him," Xavier said before wheeling himself to the side.

(With Rachal)

It turned out Zainn merely went into shock and had some nerve pain, painful and stupid for a novice mutant… But something survivable given their abilities. Rachal watched as his eyes opened slightly and the light-blasting mutant slowly tried to climb to his feet. It was clear more or less that he'd remain a problem to be managed for now and not an asset.

"Easy, terminator. You are going to kill yourself." Rachal said as he slowly grunted. "All that blasting still did a number on you and you were too hurt to get back up," Rachal said to which he sighed.

"Ugh, damn it. I didn't think those blasts would have pushed myself that far." Zainn stated before he sighed to himself. "Ok, what happened? Did we win?" Zainn questioned to which she nodded and made him sigh before he shook his head.

"Yes, we have… But you will not be going anywhere when it comes down to it." Rachal stated before he shook his head and then sighed.

She looked around before he rubbed at his temples which meant to have to focus on this issue. They had more to do and so much more to question. Zainn looked up at her while he sighed and rested his hands on his knees while grunting in pain before he shook his head.

"Are you going to be, ok?" Zainn asked as she looked at her before he sighed to himself with annoyance. "I wanted to help but I got weak, I wasn't strong enough to handle myself and ended up getting hurt doing something stupid," Zainn stated to which Rachal only sighed, annoyed at his antics.

"You didn't fail everyone, you just acted stupid and went overboard with your powers…" Rachal stated to which he had fallen silent, glancing at her with a raised eyebrow.

"Your friends are ok; they didn't die anytime soon and they won't die at all today," Rachal said as she cupped his head. "And while you did something really stupid trying to fight someone that strong? I won't lie that it was brave and a heroic thing to do… But if you want to be an X-Men that bad? You need to learn to follow." Rachal stated before he questioned silently.

He had a lot more to focus upon. The room was spinning and his damn head felt like it might split upon now as if he made it somewhere near, he could understand. He questioned his resolve as he slowly started to think for the moment.

However? Whatever little doubt he had slowly withered away as he looked at her with mirth on his face.

"I damn well say it's with it, Rach," Zainn said with a proud smirk as he did so. "There's a lot of things I'd regret, this ain't one of them, Rachal. I wanted to help like a superhero and I got to. If that's what happens to heroes? Then I'd do it again… Saved you and the others, didn't it? helped at the very least, no?" Zainn asked to which she could only fall silent as he didn't expect her to.

He didn't at all know what to have to focus on now. They had more problems questioned before now. He didn't at all know what would become of their plans. However? He cared purely, for now, they had something else on their minds.

He didn't know what else was coming, how else had been here for now. He didn't at all mean for now to be the end of the story.

"Your very brave, Zainn… But I will agree with Rachal. Your tactics could have killed you if not for her powers or the fact of our help. I do hope you do not endanger you at the second." Zainn stayed before he seemed to have found it was to have been something for now.

He didn't at all know what to have done, for the time being, there was just too damn much on the mind that he had yet to focus upon while he seemed to have been prepared for the time being.

He had a lot more to handle, a lot more to question when it came down to it. Zainn looked at Rachal who had cradled him in her arms and stopped him from bleeding out, too amused, too interested for the time being while he shook his head.

"Is that an invitation to join the group, Mr. Xavier?" Zainn asked before he raised an eyebrow before he looked at him, too amused for the time being. "Because if so? Then yeah, I'd like to learn more about what these powers do… Least so I don't get to pass out from these things." Zainn said before he leaned on the wall behind him, too focused on what to have to do next.

He wasn't sure for the time being when it came down to it. Zainn stated to which Charles felt himself hum.

"Will your parents care? I need to speak to them… Though I'm sure I already know how they respond to such things." Charles said before he sighed. "Rachal? Please help him onto the Black Bird. I'm going to look around before making sure that something like this doesn't end tragically. It should have happened this way… Not at all." Xavier said to which the man only looked around before he sighed to himself.

He knew more than anything that Zainn's parents would sooner or later discard their son. The second they were found out to be housing a Mutant? Well, it was pretty easy to have focused on the negatives when it came down to it.

Still? He had a lot more to have focused upon, for now, it was clear all of this… All of it was just more and more proof they may or may not find a way to make it all work. The more they managed to get off the ground.

The proof they had was… A lot, but it was entirely clear they could manage to get it to work. Rachal gently floated Zainn off the ground which made him blink as he looked around the city.

The destruction was not soon to be dealt with; it was something they could have dealt with. He wanted more than anything to see it down and see peace spread between their two factions… However? It was entirely clear that was a fantasy, one they could see crashing and burning sooner or later.

'Humans won't welcome mutants yet, not until they realize they're not the biggest shark in the ocean… And I doubt it will be something else that can change their mind, not so early, not without good reason… It will be a nightmare.' Xavier thought as he sighed, his mind blanks with thoughts he knows not how well it would have worked out for the time being.

They had so much to discuss, it was clear more or less that even with the massive problems in their plans? They had to win. They could just afford to lose. No, they had to win and had to ensure it happened properly. The second only seemed to enrage them and remind them of their plans. It was clear they had more and more to have discussed it.

Such problems were odd, very odd, and yet very understandable. They had more and more problems that needed to be handled and yet they had more and more on their plates. Rachal watched as he slowly sat up, looking around with such a clear and clear idea that needed to have been dealt with promptly which needed to have been coming.

Rachal watched and began to desire more and more until it was clear such measures only served to draw more and more of an issue. It was clear that both of them had something that should have or could have been the end of the day as she knew it.

They had more and more of a problem which only pushed them to need to end it quickly and clearly… Very quick and very cleanly. It was clear more and more of a problem which meant a problem that should have gotten them along, it was a horrid problem through and through with each passing step.

Whatever the problem was? it was clear such issues had only served to push them towards something they could have done… Would have done and it was clear such a thing was going to have done more and more to have forced them forwards and it was clear they had more and more problems with which to have happened upon.

Zainn had fallen silent, too focused on it… Too filled with rage and pain for now. It was clear to him at the end what had been done…. And how this had consumed him down to his very soul. They had so much to dwell upon… So, so much. It was clear it clamped down upon them all… Yes, they had something to deal with and it was clear if anything was according to plan. They'd still be going through such plans easily. They had more to see and more to have done sooner or later.

Zainn looked at Rachal as he hobbled up and onto the jet. It was clear as day that their plan wasn't going to have happened easily. He was different now, something different than a human, different entirely in the refugee he had been and what he'd have been capable of for now.

"Hey, Rachal? Can I ask something?" Zainn asked as the physic woman turned to him. "What's… Things like there? I don't mean the cool hero work. I mean in general. I'm still a kid, I know… But…. What's it like to be a mutant?" Zainn asked to which she frowned.

"Not easy, Zainn… Not easy." Rachal said before Zainn tilted his head, unable to allow such an idea to cripple him the way she thought it may… It did not.

He looked at her with warmth, with the understanding of a mutant that knew the steps forwards would not be easy. It was clear he wanted this for more than just himself.

"Good, Donnie used to tell me how horrible things are if they're easy… You can't enjoy it if they don't struggle." Zainn said before he looked at the town. "Did you have something like this when you started? Something made you want to help people, yeah?" Zainn asked as he tilted his head to the side.

It was clear beyond anything that he had not been indebted to have bothered her with the question. it was innocent, devoid of any of the anger or vitriol people would have given the line with. It was clear he was trying to have a question about her.

"Its… Complicated." Rachal stated to which he fell silent, only holding his hands up to show her what it meant to him.

"That's cool. Just curious." Zainn said before he looked at the ramp. "You know one thing, though? I don't regret standing my ground. Not because it was a hero thing, but because I got this off the ground. I managed something at least, that should at least count towards showing Magneto I'm not a coward." Zainn said to which Charles sighed.

"He's not going to simply back down because you proved your strength, young Zainn… if anything? His determination will not be faltered at all, he's going to make." Zainn heard as he sighed and leaned on the wall next to him.

"Then we're going to have problems. Because I don't think I'm going to just back down and let him steamroll me into oblivion, that's not going to happen, not easy, not while I'm still breathing." Zainn stated as he shook his head.

It was clear that such a thing had only served to have done something that would have driven him further up a wall. They had a lot of things to discuss and it was clear Charles would have had to deal with the fact his newest student was not simply a rookie, but someone who had wished to pull himself clearly beyond his limits…

They had so much more to have focused upon, so much and yet it had been more and more of an odd little thing, something they'd not have happened to them. It was far worse than the alternative when it came down to it. They'd not have been allowed, for now, such measures would have only allowed them a small measure of peace when it came down to it. They had more and more problems on the way and it was clear so little of their problems could have been solved.

Perhaps it was for the best then that neither be allowed a single moment of peace… The mere idea that peace might have allowed them anything more than a brief thing that should have been able to have gotten when it came down to it.

Rachal had seemed to have smirked at her before she questioned before she seemed to have been gotten before, she sighed to herself.

It hadn't yet seemed to have gotten where it came down to it. He seemed to have been prepared for now when they were done for now. She didn't question before she questioned before it came down to it. She didn't know what to have gotten it over the end of the line for now and she was no fool. Not only did they now have to deal with the idea that Magneto now was fully aware of their presence… But it was also clear such things were only going to make mutants more feared and hated such a thing if they were going to make it worse and worse. Well, it wasn't going to be easy, but then again? Things were never easy for them and it wouldn't remain so for now.

Zainn wasn't going to have backed down. it was clear the Mutant was going to deal with the fact that the plan wasn't set in motion yet… She wished he understood purely what had chosen for it. This wasn't all fun and games and she knew that beyond a shadow of a doubt.

Still? it was clear Zainn wished to ride the damn train to the end of the station. It wasn't going to be fun; it'd not be easy at all. And all it would do was end up blowing up in their faces, it wasn't going to make a lot of sense for now. This needed to be approached properly at the end of the day.

Zainn oddly seemed to have to question upon now when it came down to it as of the time being. Zainn looked at her before she questioned before she seemed to look around. Zainn sighed before he crossed his arms as he questioned what to do next.
