"Are you sure this is the way?" Ewa crouched behind a car after seeing a human walk by.

The sister had been walking for over three hours. They were still on their mother's scent, but it was being overpowered by other scents. They had long left the cover of the forest and were no sneaking around the city. They were overwhelmed by the number of lights, noises, and smells.

"Yes," Eyla growled.

"Hey, don't get snappy with me." Ewa snapped at her tail. "You're the one that got us lost in the first place."

"We are not lost." Turning abruptly towards a park, she sighed at finding a lake. "Finally some water."

"That water looks gross." Ewa peeped over the edge, staring at her reflection. "I'm pretty sure the birds and fishes do their business in there."

"Yet, you're okay from drinking at the lake back home?" She scoffed. "The animals go there as well."

Rolling her eyes, she took a few licks. "Now where too?"

"We are going to have to sit here for a while." Eyla laid down, placing her head over her paws. "There are too many people and smells, I can't get a good whiff of moms."

"What do you think they are going to do when they find out?" Ewa laid beside her, resting her head over her back. "It's been a while since mom has gotten angry."

"When was that?" Eyla never recalled her mother being angry. In fact, she had never yelled at them. Not even after the argument, they had earlier that day. "I don't think I have ever seen her mad."

"The time we wandered off past the territory line." Ewa flinched at the memory. "I honestly thought she was going to kill us right there and then."

"Oh, I remember." Eyla chuckled. "We were grounded for a month."

"And that was after she noticed how bad Uncle Ned was hurt." Ewa grimaced at the memories.

That day they had gone past their home into unknown territory. Unfortunately for them, a group of hunters was scouting the area. They had tried to make a run for it, but a net had caught them. Before they could be harmed, Ned and Alex showed up. While Alex focused on taking the girls back, Ned handled the hunters. When he got back he was covered in blood and had some bullet wounds. He only gave in to the exhaustion after he was in the safety of the packs. Eyla and Ewa never forgot that night and Ned now had a scar on his side that kept that memory alive.

"Makes you wonder what she will do now," Eyla whispered.

"You two are a long way from home." Both girls snapped their heads up to find themselves surrounded by a pack of wolves. Standing in front of them a few steps back, was a handsome man in a pristine suit. "That scent can only belong to Ziva, my guess you are Eyal's kids."

Eyla stood up, standing over her sister. "Who are you? What do you want?" Her eyes widen as he took a step forward. She lunged at his legs barely missing. "Back off!"

"Definitely Ziva's kids." He crouched down to their level. "My name is Elijah, I'm a friend of your father Eyal."

'I don't trust him Eyla.' Ewa crawled out from under her sister, standing tall beside her. 'Let's make a run for it.'

"I can take you to him." Elston offered. "I'm sure that's why you're out here."

'He knows where dad is.' Eyla took a step forward.

Ewa grabbed her by the loose fur around her shoulder and jerked her back. 'Get ahold of yourself! We don't know them. For all, we know he can be the one that ordered the attack on the packs!'

She froze staring up at the man in front of her. A conversation with her mother coming back.

'Mom, what does that man Elston look like?'

'He's tall, well built, and has striking brown eyes. A defined jawline, with semi-long hair. He has a British accent and always wears a suit. Don't let his smile and charm fool you, he's a wolf in sheep clothes through and through.'

Out of the corner of her eye, she spotted a man running toward them with a net. Jumping back she head-butted her sister into the water. 'Go! Get mom!' The net fell over her, followed by the weight of two men. 'Leave now!'

She gaped at the men carrying her sister away. 'Eyla!' Climbing out of the water, she rushed after her. 'I'm coming!'

'No!' She roared. 'You can't take them. We can't take them. Go get mom and the others! Tell her it was Elijah! Go!'

Slowing her pace she leaped back as another net flew her way. As much as it pained her to leave her sister, Eyla was right. She couldn't take them on. Scurrying back the same way they had come, she took off towards the pack compound. 'Come on faster.' She growled pushing herself to move faster. 'This was so stupid! I'm the oldest I should have protected her! Useless!'

Ziva:

Walking into the apartment, she placed the key on the counter with a sad smile. So many great memories in this place. The number of times the team would join her here. The few hallways meetings with Eyal. "Hey, Tony?"

"Yeah?"

"You remember the race we had put in the hallway?" Ziva stepped out the door, looking both ways to find it empty.

Tony raised a brow. "I recall beating you at those races."

"Excuse me?" She scoffed. "You won once and that was because you faked an ankle twist."

"I did not fake it," Tony argued.

"Sure."

Leaning against the wall of the empty living room, he slid down to the floor. Resting his hands over his knees, he sighed. "I am sorry."

Ziva still rested against the door, her back facing the inside of the unit. "For what?"

"My way towards you. My jealousy. The attack on Eyal." He laid his head back with a thud. "I didn't mean to hurt him. I was angry that night, but not with you or Eyal. I-" He chuckled a scoff. "I don't even remember, guess it wasn't even worth my anger."

Glancing over her shoulder down at him, she turned back to the hallway. "I am not angry about it anymore Tony. That night I was more frustrated than mad. You had placed me in a position I never wanted. You forced me to choose between the man I loved and my best friend."

"Which one am I?" He teased.

Ziva chuckled softly. "I wanted you there with me. I wanted you to be there at the birth of my daughters. Of the many things, I have done. With Eyal in that state, I had to take over the pack. The responsibility of them fell on my shoulders. And in those moments where I didn't think I had it me, were the times I needed you the most."

"I should apologize for that too." Tony lowered his tone to a near whisper. "I never meant for all of this to happen. I truly am happy you have found the man you are supposed to be with. But my feelings didn't let me see it that way. I saw Eyal as an enemy. It wasn't the first time either."

She frowned. "There were others?"

He laughed. "Every guy you dated. They were never good enough. They weren't me."

"Tony..."

"But now I can't even use that excuse." He stood up with a large grin. "I mean Eyal was literally born to be with you. I may be good, but I ain't that good."

Before she could take a jab at that, her phone rang. "Saved by an unknown number."

"Lucky me."

"Da-vid."

'Ah! Hello agent Da-vid.'

Ziva knitted her brows together. "Who is this?" The voice sounded familiar, but she couldn't place it.

'I would like to say old friends, but seeing how you once threaten to skin me alive we will leave it at aquatints.'

'Skin him alive? When have I-' She nearly gasped out loud. "Elston."

Tony was by her side the moment he heard his name. "What the fuck is he calling you for?"

'Is that Tony?' Elston chuckled. 'Still after your lovely bones? Well, he can always try his luck after Eyal is dead.'

"What do you want?"

'Me? Nothing.' There was a loud howl coming from the background. 'It's more of what you will want.'

"What I want? What could you possibly have that I wa-" Her eyes went wide at hearing the howl once more. She recognized that howl anywhere. "Eyla..."

'Oh, well I got to go. Our guest somehow got her muzzle out. She is a hard one to control.'

"Eyla!" Panic began to rise in her. The fear of losing her daughter. "He has Eyla!"

"What?" Tony grabbed her phone checking to see if the line was still open. "How do you know that? Did he tell you?"

"I-I heard her howl! She was calling for me." Ziva's hand flew to her mouth. "He has my daughter. I must go. I must find her!"

Tony was quick to stop her from getting into the elevator. "Wait, you need to calm down."

"Calm down?!" Ziva roared. "How the fu-He has my daughter! I ne-I need to get ahold of the others. I need to call Ned and Al-"

"Calm down Ziva!" Tony was suddenly pushed to the ground, a shooting pain coming from his shoulders. "What the hell Ziva! Get off me!" He yelped at feeling something dug into his skin. Blinking a few times, he got past the blurriness of the impact. Looking for the woman over him, he took in a shaky gasp. Ziva was nowhere to be found. Instead standing over with was an all-white wolf. Its red eyes stared back at him like a raging fire. "Zi-Ziva?"

Ziva wasn't sure what happened. One moment she was making a run for the door and the next she felt something inside her explode. A fire started from the pit of her stomach, spreading to every limb in her body. She wasn't aware of what was happening as she stared down at a scared Tony. "Why are you looking at me like that?" Tony stayed frozen under her, not daring to move a muscle. "What are you-" Looking up she caught her reflection on an elevator door. Only it wasn't her looking back, but a wolf. 'is that me? No that can't be right. That is not possible.'

"Ziva?" Tony whispered. "C-Can you hear me?"

She looked down catching the slight jump he gave. "I-I can't deal with this. I need to find my daughter!" She jumped over her fallen teammate and took off. 'How is this possible?'
