Walking into the restaurant he found the packs settled at the far end. One end of the table was reserved for him, while Derek took the other end. His team sat on one side, while the hale pack took up the other side. It appears the staff had placed two tables together to accommodate the group. Glancing around he found multiple families celebrating the student's graduation. He spotted a few he had seen with the pack earlier, some even bowing their head discreetly.

Approaching the table, he took his seat. To his enjoyment stiles took up the chair to his left.

"Hello, I'm Dennis and I'm going to be your waitress for today." She was a tall brunette around her kid twenties. "Are you folks ready to order?"

"Start to my right, I still need to look over the menu." Picking up the large menu, he glanced at the options. He wasn't that hungry, the only reason he agreed to this was because of his pack.

"I will take the burger and fries." Stiles on the other hand was starving. "And I will take the mozzarella sticks and jalapeƱo poppers." Hearing Derek clear his throat, he froze. The feds were the ones paying this time, not them. "Actually just the burger and fries."

"Sir?" Dennis offered him a sweet smile. "Are you ready?"

"Get me a coffee please." He handed her the menu. "Please add the Mozzarella sticks and poppers as well."

"Of course." Gathering the menus, she shoved them under her arm. "I will be right back with your drinks."

"Thank you." Shrugging his suit jacket off, he draped it over the back of JJ's chair. "Derek, how is your sister Cora? It's been months since I have talked to her."

Derek raised a brow. "You kept in touch with her?"

"She called me a few days after the fire. And she kept me updated on her moves." Hotch answered. "Then she stopped."

"Some things happened." Derek wasn't comfortable talking to this man about his family. He barely knew him. "You can ask her yourself. She's on her way here."

"Okay, here are your drinks." Dennis and another waiter came over with three trays of drinks. "Your food will be ready in a few moments."

JJ nodded. "Thank you."

Grabbing Stiles Coke, he handed it over to the omega. "I can see the questions brewing in your head, out with it."

"Are you all born wolves?" Stiles blurted out.

JJ shook her head. "Hotch, Rossi, and I are the only ones born."

"Who bit the others?" Scott asked.

"Reid and Garcia are my doing." Hotch replied. "Derek and Kate were from a rouge wolf." He noticed the wolf, Theo, eyeing him wearily. "My understanding is you have a few different breeds in the pack."

"A few yes." She narrowed her eyes at the alpha. "But I am going to assume you already knew that."

Hotch nodded looking at each one as well as memorizing their scent. "It wasn't hard based on the scents."

Stiles took a sip of soda, tilting his head to the side. "What do I smell like? I ask these guys and they never tell me."

Hotch began to lean in when his eyes landed on Noah. Restraining himself, he took a whiff from a distance. "To me, you smell like wet soil." Grabbing JJ's drink he wet his dry throat.

"Wet soil." Stiles repeated. "That's a new one."

Looking down at the omega, he nodded. "One of my favorite scents." He caught Liam opening and closing his mouth a few times. "Something on your mind Liam?"

"Um, yeah." He cleared his throat fidgeting with his hands. "Earlier at the ceremony, Theo mentioned something about your eyes."

Hotch frowned. "My et-" He paused at the waitress came over with their food. Grabbing the mozzarella sticks and popper, he placed them in from of Stiles. Thanking the girl, he turned back to the question on hand. "My eyes?"

"He said they were different." Liam answered.

"Different color." Theo jumped in. "They weren't red."

He knew this was coming, he had just hoped they would have waited until they were away from the general public. Looking around he paused at his pack. "Don't react." Giving the restaurant one last sweep he turned to Stiles.

Stiles watched in amazement as grey slowly took over the alpha's dark eyes. He had seen the pack's eyes change many times, but this was something different. With his pack the color just appeared. With Hotch, it slowly swept into his iris. It was as if the human was stepping back and the wolf was walking forward. His gaze was much more intense, dominating him. "Woah."

"Hotch." JJ placed a cautious hand on his arm, forcing herself not to react to the growl. "Hey, snap back."

Blinking a few times he let out a shaky breath. "I'm fine." Feeling her hands reach out for his face, he turned to her. "I'm fine."

She examined him for a moment content in finding only Aaron. "Alright."

"What are you?" Jackson broke the silence that came over the packs. "I've never seen one with grey eyes."

"He's a blood alpha." Derek remembers his mother telling them about him.

Flashback:

"Of course Belinda." Talia looked up as her husband walked into the kitchen. "I will let you know if I see him. Understood, don't worry we will handle it should it come to that. Goodbye." Slamming the phone down she glared out the kitchen window over the sink. "Barbaric's."

"What is it?" Andrew leaned against the kitchen island. "Who was that?"

"That was Belinda Hotchner." Talia spat. "She called to warn us about her eldest son Aaron."

"Aaron?" Andrew was confused as to why they needed to worry about the young wolf. Aaron was the opposite of what he had first thought, when Thomas told them he had a son. Thomas reputation was well known. A ruthless alpha, that did not care for the blood he shed. Disciplined his pack with an iron fist. Bred whatever female he deemed worth of him. When Talia told him about the possible union between Laura and Aaron Hotchner, he threw a fit. But after getting to know the future alpha, he learned just how drastic the difference between son and father was. "Warn us? About what?"

"Thomas passed away a few days ago." Talia stated.

"I remember." Good riddance.

"Aaron as we all knew became the new alpha, but it appears Aaron is a blood alpha." She chuckled at her husband's wide eyes. "The Hotchner pack shunned him out. Instead of helping him control what he is, Belinda kicked him out. Turns out Aaron lost control in front of her youngest son Sean."

Andrew groaned rolling his neck. "Do they know where he might be?" Talia shook her head. "I can get a few pack mates and form a search party. How hard could it be to find a blood alpha?"

Talia chuckled after him. "You'd be surprised."

"We can't leave that boy to deal with this on his own." Andrew grabbed his coat, giving her a quick kiss. "I'll let you know as soon as I find him."

"Be safe. I am sure that by now, the hunters must have caught wind of this." Talia hoped that wasn't the case.

"Always."

Derek stumbled into the kitchen, frowning at his father practically running out of the house. "Where is dad going?"

"He's going to try and find Aaron." Talia beacon her son over, just as Laura walked in as well.

"What's a blood alpha?" Laura asked.

Taking a seat at the table she waited for them to do so. Holding the warm mug of tea in her hand, Talia cherished the warmth sweeping into her hands. "A blood alpha is just as rare as a true alpha. They are stronger, faster, and larger than us alphas. A large amount of power resides inside them, should that power not be tamed it will drive the alpha mad. Although they are called blood alpha, I have never seen one in that rank. Hunters and even other wolves end them before they can rise up."

"And Aaron Hotchner is that?" Laura scoffed.

Talia nodded. "Yes."

"So he's a blood alpha big deal." Derek grumbled. "I'd still be a better alpha than him. Stronger and faster."

Talia ran her hand through his hair, a motherly look in her eyes. "For lack of a better word, blood alphas are the alphas of alphas." Catch the scent of her husband, she walked out to meet him. "That quick?"

Andrew chuckled. "Someone beat me to the young alpha." Hearing Talia'a heart speed up, he quickly calmed her down. "He's safe. Dave Rossi has taken him in. Aaron will be safe with him."

End flashback:

"A blood what now?" Erica asked.

"Blood alpha. They are just above the true alpha. They are not affected by wolf bane like we are, mountain ash is pretty much useless against them." Derek explained. "The full moon still triggers the change. The eclipse does not affect them either." He glanced up at Hotch. "Mother told me it was rare for a blood alpha to become an alpha. You're the first."

"I had help along the way." Hotch shrugged. "My father passed away when I was 15, which triggered my change. With the help of Rossi, I managed to stay under the radar and learn to control myself."

Stiles took his hand under the table, entwining their fingers. "Your mom?"

Hotch scoffed. "After my father was killed, I was shunned out of the pack and she kicked me out."

"How was he killed?" Theo popped the question, without taking into consideration the alpha.

"Hunters." Hotch growled.

"Do you know the name of the hunters?" Scott asked

"Kate argent." Hotch spat the name.

Stiles flinched at the mention of her name. "Are you sure?"

"Am I sure?" He chuckled. "After my father, she managed to get her claws in me. That was a name I never forgot."

A smirk appeared on Theo's lips. "I have to ask. You wouldn't have anything to do with the death of Argent's husband and son do you?"

Hotch tensed, his hand holding tighter onto Stiles. "Excuse me?"

Derek's brows formed a frown. "Why bring that up now? And here of all places."

"It's just I remember something Kate Argent told us." Theo shrugged feigning disinterest. "A black shadow with soulless eyes killed them."

Hotch began to feel uncomfortable under their direct stares. The walls were starting to close in on him, making it difficult to breathe. His wolf urged him to step back and let him take control. "I'm not the only black wolf."

"But you are the only one with grey eyes." Theo retorted.

"Did you?" Allison leaned closer to the table.

He had forgotten they had an argent with them. Looking towards Stiles he was at a loss. Stiles might dislike him for what he was about to say. Turning away from the omega, he looked at his pack. Kate gave him a slight nod. "Yes."

Allison clenched her fist, falling back against her chair. "I get that Kate was the worse, but what fault did my uncle and cousin have?" Her eyes burned with rage. "You tore them apart. Ripped their throats out, put them on display."

"Argent spend years trying to end my life." Hotch growled. "Nearly did a couple of times. When I found out what I truly was, I hunted her down. They were the price she had to pay."

"My cousin was only 14." Allison whispered.

Hotch hummed. "That didn't stop him from coming after me and my son."

"My uncle was a good man." She snapped.

"Yeah, if you don't count the time he kept me locked in the basement." Hotch glared at her. "Make it a family activity to come down after dinner and see just how much I can take."

"They weren't like that." Allison slammed her hand on the table.

Derek let out a warning growl "Allison back off."

"Back off?" She scoffed. "He killed m-"

"You really going to take the word of Kate's husband?" Stiles asked. "Mind you Kate has tried to kill us all at one point. Nearly managed to do so a few times. Is it that hard to believe her husband and son were the same?"

"Or maybe he just wanted someone to pay." Theo kept adding fuel to the fire. "I mean if he couldn't get his claws in Kate, go after the next best thing. Her family."

Stiles noticed the change in Hotch's eyes. They were a mixture of grey and red, creating a swirl of colors. "Agent Hotchner?"

JJ cursed at missing the change. "Hotch, why don't we go for a run?" She glanced at Stiles. "Woods nearby?"

He nodded. "I-uh-I can show you."

"Okay." Offering him a thankful smile, she grabbed the alpha's hand. "Hotch, you're losing it."

Taking a few deep breaths, he fought for control. His wolf was not about to let some low wolf make him look bad in front of his mate.

'Let me out!' The wolf growled.

Hotch clenched his jaw. 'No.'

'He must learn to respect us.' The animal paced in its cage.

'Leave it be.' Hotch exhaled slowly at feeling him give up. 'Our mate will not fall for something as childish as that. We harm a pack mate of his and then we will lose him.' His mixed eyes landed on the young wolf.

"Aaron." JJ called once more.

"I'm fine." Grabbing his wallet, he pulled out some bills. "Stiles you said the woods were close by?"

"Yeah, I can show you." He jumped to his feet, excitement brewing from the tip of his toes.

"Sheriff is that alright with you?" Hotch asked.

Noah shrugged. "As long as he comes back in one piece."

Giving the omega a once over, he nodded. "You have my word."

"We will meet back at Ms. McCall's home." Hotch addressed his pack. "Try and behave."

Derek smirked. "No promises."

Following Stiles out of the restaurant, they headed towards the back of the building. Hotch had always wanted to live in a small town like this. Surrounded by the woods and the freedom that comes with it.

Sneaking glances at the alpha, he took a moment to study him. He was tall that must he knew right away. He didn't seem to be the kind to smile enough. His eyes were guarded against the world. Seeing the dark eyes flicker towards him, he squeaked looking away.

"Allison is nice, but she's very sensitive about her family." Stiles was getting tired of the awkward silence. "Between Gerard, Kate, and her family, Allison drew the short straw. She and her father Chris are the only ones we trust."

Hotch snorted. "Argent's aren't on my list of trustees."

"Hmm, who is?"

"Hunter-wise?" Stiles nodded. "None."

"At all?" Walking into the woods, he gestured around. "From here on out it's all clear. No one tends to come by."

"The only hunter I have trusted is Emily Prentiss, but it took me a while to come around." Unbuttoning his shirt, he tugged it off and hung it over a tree branch.

Stiles gulped the dry lump in his throat. The man was stripping in front of him with no reserve. He knew he should turn around, but he couldn't. Hotch took off his undershirt, leaving him half-naked. It was impossible to see under the suit, but the man had lightly visible abs. Hearing the sound of a belt clink, he snapped out of his daze and turned around.

Hotch chuckled stepping out of his pants. "Now you turn around?"

"Sorry, I-I didn't mean to stare." Groaning at his stuttering, he decided the bark on the tree was more interesting. "So, this Prentiss, how did you come to trust her?" He squeaked at the warm breath hitting the back of his neck.

"She saved my life a few times." Hotch inhaled deeply. "She and my Delta female mated." Leaning down he pressed his nose against the junction between the neck and shoulder. "Took the bite." Running his teeth against his shoulder, he smirked at the shiver Stiles gave.

Closing his eyes he laid his head back against the alpha's shoulder. Tilting his head to the side, a gasp slipped out. Hotch had pushed him up against the tree, both hands laid flat against the trunk. Stiles reached a hand back, running it over Hotch's hair. The man wasn't doing much, just nibbling at his neck and yet Stiles was weak to the knees. Pushing back against his body, he gasped at feeling the bulge in Hotch's pants press against his ass.

The rumble in his chest vibrated against Stiles's back. Moving his hands down to the omega's waist, holding him steady. Stiles had begun to move against him and it was driving him to the brink of insanity. Looking down at the boy panting from only his mouth, Hotch cursed himself for losing control this easy. "Wait here?" He didn't want him to leave.

Stiles having recovered from his submission nodded. "Uh-sure." Watching the man before him shift into the black wolf, he grinned. "That was awesome!"

Hotch gave him a low howl. Walking over to him, he rubbed himself against Stiles's legs. A content feeling as his hands run down his back. With a short bark, he took off into the woods.

Hotch dashed through the woods, leaping over thin winding creaks and the slippery rocks. He dodged and zipped past rotting oak trees and under lowered and snapped branches. Everything blurred into a dizzying blend of earthly colors. The earth was wet and moist under his paws. He jumped into a muddy brook, swollen by the recent rains, soaking up his paws and legs. The woods began to widen and thin layers of fallen pine needles and sentinels disguised the perilous and rocky terrain. He ran beside the twisted creek which mirrored the deep green of the trees. Hotch leaped over a fallen pine tree, which had damned the flow. He raised his gaze to the top of the treetops and listened to the trees, as they came to life.

Reaching a rather large section of the river, he stopped at the edge. Tossing his head back, he released a howl.

Stiles looked up from his phone at the howl. Goosebumps ran up his arm. "Only I would act like a teenager in love." Hearing twigs snapping he spotted the black wolf walking back down to him. He seemed much more relaxed. "I assume that did the trick." Hotch grumbled laying his large head on Stiles's lap. "Your eyes are back to normal."

Hotch raised his head, tilting it to the side. 'Normal?'

"They were mixed between red and gray." Stiles explained. "I think they looked awesome, but your pack was worried."

Dropping his head back down he huffed. 'Stupid wolf.'

Stiles laid his hand over the wolf's shoulder. Playing with the ear, he laid back against the tree and closed his eyes. Yelping at being pulled to the floor. "Hey!"

Hotch hovered over him, running his tongue across the omegas neck. Pulling away with a growl, he allowed the boy to sit up. Circling him, Hotch wrapped himself around Stiles. Allowing him to rest his back against his side. His head coming to rest next to his lap and his tail covering Stiles's stomach. 'Tree might be uncomfortable.'

"This is so much more comfy." Stiles snuggled into the warm fur. "Derek wasn't kidding when he said you were bigger."

'You haven't seen anything yet.'

'Wonder what else?'
