Guest (Or would you prefer Camagassi or one of your many alts?): I knew you'd show eventually. You clearly lack reading comprehension, no one gives a shit about power levels except you and we're tired of your whining. Not to mention you didn't even both reading what was actually said. No one said the Originals were like Glory, they said it was possibility because their last experience with other dimensions was Glory. You're the Buffyverse fanboy equivalent to those losers on Twitter who go looking for something to be offended about. You don't actually read any stories; you just skim, looking for something to be upset about. And you harass anyone who doesn't want to deal with your bullshit. Seriously, what will it take for you to get it? No one. Cares.
Guest: Since you're clearly missing the context here, let me fill you in. The whole reason power levels is an issue is because the first guest whining about it is a user who harasses anyone who says Buffyverse isn't the most powerful universe at anything. He's taken to harassing anyone he disagrees with long past the point where others have said 'agree to disagree'. Doesn't matter if you block him or any of his alts, he still continues to harass you as a guest. He's the whole reason I even had to put up the warning in the first chapter to begin with. The only reason it's an issue is because most of us have caught on to his pattern by now and are tired of his bullshit.
To every else defending me, thank you but I'm going to allow any more comments about power levels. Only reason I did this time was to respond to Camagassi or whatever he goes by.
New York
Afternoon
"You okay Dawn? You've been quiet since we left?" Buffy asked in concern as she and Dawn neared Central Park.
"Fine. I'm fine," Dawn said entirely unconvincingly.
"Dawn, we have no idea what we're about to face here, it might be as strong as Glory. I need your head in the game. If there's anything bothering you, now's the time to tell me," Buffy said as she looked at her sister firmly.
"Just….do you think there's something going on between Willow and Faith?" Dawn finally said.
"Like what? Are they fighting or something?" Buffy asked, not understanding.
"No, not fighting. Before we left, I noticed Faith hadn't followed. I went back to see what the holdup was and I saw them…kissing," Dawn finally said looking uncomfortable.
"Willow…and Faith?" Buffy asked incredulously her mind having trouble wrapping around the idea.
If Buffy was a computer, 'does not compute' would be flashing across her screen in big red letters.
"I know, how did that even happen? When did that happen?" Dawn asked in confusion.
"Had to be recent, given Willow just broke up with Kennedy a few weeks ago. And after Xander, I know she'd never cheat on someone again, even if it is Kennedy. And they've been spending a lot of time together since Sunnydale and even a little before," Buffy mused. "I think I remember Kennedy ranting to one of the new Slayers about how much time Faith and Willow were spending together back before they broke up to."
"Well, Kennedy was a brat. But still, Faith?" Dawn asked in disbelief.
"Well, she's a lot better than Kennedy," Buffy pointed out and Dawn really couldn't disagree. "Does it bother you that Will's seeing someone?"
"I don't know. It's just…weird I guess, seeing her with someone other than Tara. I didn't pay much attention to Kennedy because it seemed like some end of the world thing and then they barely spent any time together before breaking up because Will was always busy. This Faith thing seems…I don't know, different," Dawn explained awkwardly.
"Maybe it is," Buffy said and Dawn looked at her confused. "Kennedy was Will's Riley, her rebound after Tara. Maybe Faith's the real deal. And Faith and I will never be best friends, but as long as she makes Willow happy, I guess she's okay."
"I guess," Dawn said although she really didn't look any happier. "Although we're still gonna kick her ass if she hurts Will."
"Kind of our duty," Buffy agreed. "Now, can we find this potential Glory?"
"I guess," Dawn shrugged before the sisters continued their search.
Chinatown
Same time
"They're close, whoever they are," Giles told Xander as they walked through Chinatown, the compass spinning wildly. "Very close."
"Great," Xander said sarcastically, gripping the crossbow in his hand tightly.
The two were making their way thought a market, looking around for their own potential Glory. So far there was nothing out of the ordinary, but that didn't help either man to relax. They continued following the directions of the compass for a few more moments before the needle stopped, pointing a few feet away. Xander and Giles looked over to see it was pointing to a dark haired man in a leather jacket talking to some pedestrians, although they were too far away to hear what he was saying.
"Gotta admit, not what I expected," Xander said.
"Glory did not look as demonic as she normally would due to her human side, perhaps this one is similar in that respect," Giles mused.
"Great, so we did bring another Glory here," Xander said miserably.
"We cannot know for certain until we capture him. We must be very careful Xander. We have no idea what he may be capable of," Giles said lowly, gripping his crossbow tightly as he pocketed the compass.
Xander and Giles both took aim at the man as the pedestrians walked off. However, before they could pull the trigger, the man turned around and seemed to blur towards them. Giles was easily knocked aside as the man grabbed Xander by his shirt and knocked the crossbow out of his hands. Other pedestrians stopped, staring as the man slammed Xander against the side of a nearby shop.
"You should be careful what you say, you never know who might be listening," the man sneered. "You said you brought me here. Do you work for Kade? Where is Bonnie?!"
"Uh Giles, a little help here," Xander called out, freaked out.
"Let him go," Giles said coolly, getting to his feet and taking aim at the man.
Enzo tossed Xander aside, who yelped as he landed on the ground before Enzo turned to face Giles.
"You seem to be in charge. Did you bring me here?" Enzo demanded.
"No, but I know who did. And we're going to send you back," Giles promised before pulling the trigger.
The crossbow bolt flew at Enzo, who caught it. But the moment his hand made contact with the bolt, both he and the bolt vanish in a golden mist.
Enzo reappeared in a cell in a kind of basement. He looked around in bewilderment before trying to yank open the cell door. However, he jumped back as he felt what seemed to be a thousand bolts of electricity shock him. He looked own at his hands, which were already starting to heal.
"You won't be getting out," Enzo looked up to see a red haired woman standing outside the cell.
"Who are you? Did you bring me here?" Enzo demanded.
"Yes, on accident. I promise I'll send you back where you were, but I need time," Willow promised.
Back in Chinatown, Xander got up as the pedestrians looked around in bewilderment.
"Hope you all enjoyed the show. We'll be back in a few days," Xander said with a wave.
The pedestrians turned away and Xander almost sighed in relief that they bought his cover story before turning to Giles.
"That was easy," he said in relief.
"Yes. But I do not believe they will all be as easy to capture," Giles said grimly.
Manhattan
Not long after
Faith pulled her motorcycle to a stop, looking down at her compass, seeing the needle was spinning wildly.
"Guess this means I'm close," Faith muttered.
Faith got off her motorcycle, beginning to look around when she felt a shiver go up her spine. A strange feeling coming over her, Faith turned around. A few feet away stood a dark haired woman who appeared to be a few years older than Faith. But that strange feeling came over Faith again. Faith looked down and, sure enough, the needle was pointing at the woman.
"Figures," Faith muttered.
Faith pocketed the compass and began approaching the woman. She had never faced Glory like the others, but she'd heard the stories from Willow and Giles. If this chick was half as strong as Glory, she'd be trouble.
Faith was within a few feet of the woman when the woman suddenly turned around and moved to strike her, pulling a sword seemingly out of nowhere. On pure instinct, Faith dodged and then used her hand, catching the side of the sword. All the pedestrians around them paused, taking in the scene as the two women stared at each other.
"You're not a vampire," the woman said as she regarded Faith.
"No. I'm guessing you're not either, most vamps I know can't walk out in the sun," Faith said as she eyed the woman.
"Clearly you've never seen a Daylight Ring," the woman said as she pulled back her sword. "Name's Rayna. Why are you after me? Did you bring me here?"
"No. But I can sent you back," Faith said as she aimed her crossbow.
Realizing what she was about to do, Rayna tried to knock the weapon out of Faith's hand with a kick but Faith dodged, rolling onto the ground. Faith tried to fire the crossbow but Rayna rushed forward at surprising speed. She shrew her sword and Faith had to jump to avoid, doing an impressive backflip that caused Rayna to pause. Rayna's sword landed in the side of a news stand as Faith landed on her feet, the pedestrians watching the scene fearfully.
"You're not a vampire, but you possess abilities beyond that of a human," Rayna noted.
"Yeah, looks who's talking. Only time I felt anything close to that kind of strength was a demon or a Slayer. So what are you?" Faith demanded and Rayna smirked.
"Wouldn't you like to know?"
Rayna then rushed forward but Faith was prepared. As Rayna moved to strike her, Faith lunged forward, wrapping an arm around Rayna, restraining her and firing her crossbow. The bolt made contact and Rayna vanished in a gold mist just like Enzo.
Rayna appeared in a cell right next to Enzo, looking around in utter bewilderment. Next to her, Enzo stared in shock from his own cell, wondering how she could be here.
"That's all folks," Faith smirked at the bewildered pedestrians before pulling out her phone and calling Willow. "Will, I'm done here."
"Yeah, so are Xander and Giles. Listen, I found another of our visitors, they're not far from your location, but they're on the move. They must be in a car, they're heading upstate," Willow told her.
"Tell me which way, I'm on it," Faith promised.
"Maybe you should wait for back up. We still don't know what we're dealing with and even Buffy and I had trouble with Glory," Willow said, worried for her lover.
They hadn't reached the stage in their relationship where either of them was comfortable with the 'girlfriend' label just yet.
"No time babe, the longer they're out here the more people they can hurt," Faith said as she walked back towards her motorcycle. "Besides, all I gotta do is hit 'em with the crossbow, easy as cake."
"Yeah, easy," Willow said, unable to shake the uneasy feeling that came over her. "Just…be careful okay?"
"No promises," Faith said before hanging up, taking the time to get Rayna's sword from the stand before hopping on her motorcycle and driving off, leaving a group of bewildered people staring after her.
Central Park
Same time
Buffy and Dawn stood in the center of Central Park, staring in horror at the sight that greeted them.
They had wondered as they'd walked why there was no one in the park. They didn't have to wonder any longer. Bodies littered the part, their necks all torn open. Dawn almost threw up at the sight. Buffy didn't blame her.
"What-what could have done this?" Dawn asked her voice almost a whisper.
"A demon Dawnie. Beginning to get a picture of what came through," Buffy said grimly.
"Oh, I'm not a demon."
Startled, the sisters turned around to see a young man in a suit standing a few feet away. Buffy idly wondered how she hadn't heard him approach as she took in the sight of him. His suit was stained with blood, which also dripped from his mouth down to his chin. Glancing over at some of the bodies, Buffy realized this man had bitten into them.
"Just a freak," the man said with a smirk. "Hello ladies. Sorry about the mess, but when I got here I was…angry. Name's Kai."
"We really don't care," Buffy said stiffly, gripping her crossbow tightly.
"You should. Because I'm about to kill you," Kai said arrogantly.
"That threat gets scarier every time we hear it," Dawn said flippantly and Kai chuckled.
"You've got spunk, I like that. But I'm not just a freak. While I may not be a demon, I am a monster."
Buffy and Dawn watched in shock as the veins under Kai's eyes turned black and his pupils turned black as well. When Kai opened his mouth, he revealed two sets of fangs.
"And I'm the monster that's gonna kill you," Kai declared.
And there are the first encounters with the TVDverse characters. Hope you all enjoyed them.
Given all her encounters with Buffy, I don't think Rayna would be too much of a problem for Faith even with the sword.
