Fate 8: Hunt 3 (The Red Gem)

Chapter 3

Main Pairing: Nodoka X Falcom (Older/Hyperdimension Version)

Other pairing: Anri X Emma

Another Sister is watching Nepgear and Osaka. It's Beelzebub (Bella of Gluttony) she's eating a piece of meat. "Only two of us left….Luci…" She jumps into the trees and heads out.

Nepgear gets into bed with Osaka, as there is only one bed. Nepgear sleeps.

Time skip-1 week later.

Nepgear and Osaka walk through the forest. It's day again and it's safe to go out.

Falcom and Nodoka find a river and cross it and find two small cabins.

Emma and Nico are not exploring yet, well Anri is. She hunts for some deer to cook for dinner later. Anri drags the dead deer and brings it to the cabin. Anri heads back and opens treasure chests. Three are empty and one has an orange liquid. "Hmm? Wonder what this is. No label on it at all." Anri puts it in her pocket.

"Got you." A voice says. A girl in the trees and has a rifle. She shoots at Anri! Anri groans and falls over! Her back has been shot! The girl jumps down and turns Anri over. She knocks Anri out and drags her into a cave.

The girl removes her hood and has geeen hair and pointy ears and pale skin. "Let's see what you have." The girl searches Anri and finds the orange drink. "Oh? What's this." She opens it up and drinks it! She spits it out! "URHH! GROSS! THAT TASTE HORRIBLE!" She then gets an idea and pours it into Anri's mouth. "Hehehehe!" After it's finished, she throws the bottle away, tossing it behind her. "I'm not an Underling for nothing! Linda you sure are the greatest!"

Linda boasts herself and laughs. Anri's eyes snap open and her eyes are glowing. She sits up and pulls her hunting knife out. She covers Linda's mouth and rams her into the cave wall. Linda falls over and looks at Anri. An evil smirk is on her face. "Hey! Look! I was playing around!" Linda nervously says.

"Oh really? Hehehehe~ I have a good feeling about this." Anri grabs Linda and the underling screams in fright!

That screams echoes and Nepgear and Osaka hear it.

"Huh? What was that just now?" Osaka asked.

"Sounded like someone is in trouble. There are still traps around in the daytime." Nepgear says.

"Right. Which means we should be careful!" Osaka nods and falls down a small hole in the ground!

"Osaka! Are you alright?" Nepgear helps her back up.

"Hehehehe! I should really watch where I'm going." Osaka chuckles.

Anri has Linda tied up and mouth duct taped. "I bet you want me to release you?"

"Mhmm! Mmmmm!" Linda muffled groans as Anri presses her knife into her right arm. Anri's eyes stop glowing…

"Look? How about you never steal from me again?" Anri is back to her senses now. That drink must bring out the bad in a person…

Linda nods. Anri sets her free. Linda runs away…..

"That was strange…" Anri picks up the empty bottle. "It seemed to have healed my wound….and made me do bad things." Anri leaves the cave.

…

"Anri is taking a while." Emma goes to look for Anri. Nico is eating pancakes.

Emma is wearing jeans and a white and purple top with brown boots. She has her sword with her strapped to her back. Emma finds Anri and runs to her. "Anri! Are you ok? You've been gone for some time."

"Emma. I'm fine." Anri tells her and kisses her cheek. Emma blushes hard and crosses her arms.

"Well even if it's day….you still got to be careful! Traps are still around you know!" As soon as Emma she steps on one! The ground crumbled beneath her! Emma falls and breaks her right leg! It makes a horrific snap sound and Emma cries out in agony!

"EMMA!" Anri yells. Anri sees the sun starting to go down! Oh no! "Shit!" Anri drops down and Emma is surrounded by debris and rocks. Her leg is bent the wrong way and bone is sticking out! She then noticed Emma is pinned by a ton of debris. Anri starts to remove it. The sun completely sets and it's dark! Anri turns her flashlight on.

"I'll get you out of here! I promise!" Anri moves as quickly as she can. A loud roar is heard. Anri stays by Emma's side and turns her light off. Emma moans softly in pain. Lightning and thunder start up, but no rain. A four legged beast is by the hole. It growls and sniffs around.

Anri and Emma are trapped…

Nico is taking a shower, when the power goes out again. "HUH!? AGAIN!?" Nico shouts.

Nepgear and Osaka are running from four small but raging furry creatures. Nepgear and Osaka get into a cabin nearby. The furry little beasts run into the door and knock themselves out. "Those little things weren't cute at all." Osaka pants and sits on a couch.

"Yeah, and our flashlight is running out of battery." Nepgear smacks her flashlight and gets it working again.

Nodoka and Falcom are killing smaller creatures outside their cabin. The two just got back when these skinny dog sized creatures were around. Falcom cuts on in half and that's the last one. The two enter back into their cabin. Nodoka turns on the light, but of course, the power's out again.

"Damn. Lights are out again." Falcom says and thunder rumbles. Falcom and Nodoka decide to sleep. Osaka yawns and sleeps on the couch. Nepgear gets a blanket and puts it over Osaka's body. Nepgear stays up to make sure no creature gets into the cabin home.

Nepgear falls asleep on the floor by the couch.

Hours go by and the power is back on, Anri has Emma in her arms and takes her into the cabin. She places her down onto the couch and immediately gets that purification water out of her bag. She pours it onto Emma's broken leg and it only heals for 50%….

"Using it a second time doesn't work." Nico tells Anri. Nico heads back to bed. Anri stays by Emma's side…

…

Linda is in a treehouse. "That damn redhead! I'll get her later! I'll kill her with my own hands!"

Linda leaves the treehouse and sees a hooded figure. "You want to win? Let me guide you to the Key."

"You know about the Key?"

"I'll take you to it." The female said and leads Linda to an old beaten down cabin and gives Linda a medium sized box.

The Underling opens it up and finds the golden key. Linda takes it and a portal opens up nearby. "Is that…."

"Go through it, and you'll be taken to the red gem." The female figure said.

"Who are you by the way?"

"You don't need to know right now. Go and you'll find the red gem and win."

"Hell yeah!" Linda rushes into the portal… Everyone else is currently sleeping…

Linda enters a chamber room and in the center is the red gem! Linda rushes to it and grabs it. "Yes! I won! Now I get my prize!"

Doors open up and a redhead woman walks up to Linda with two hooded figures by her side.

"Congrats Linda."

"So!? What do I win!?" Linda smirks.

"…Win? Hahahahaha!" The older woman laughs.

"Huh? What's so damn funny? Where's my prize!? And I get to go home right!?"

"Oh no no no no. You see? There is no winner." The woman says and the red gem shines bright in Linda's right hand.

"Huh?" Linda looks at it and the red gem send out a red flare. It engulfed Linda and explodes! Linda screams as her hand is blown right off! The woman takes the red gem and places it back on its stand in the middle of the room. She walks back to Linda.

"There is a winner is this game….but it's not you. Nodoka Manabe. She's the one I need. You and the others are…just extras that are meaningless." She grabs Linda by the throat and lifts her up. Her two minions summon large steel staff like swords.

"You can win a prize though. Death…." She whispers that last word to Linda the Underling. The steel blades get rammed into Linda's body! Linda gurgles on blood coming out her mouth and the evil woman begins to choke Linda, slowly bringing her back down to the floor. She lets go and Linda is still alive.

"Ms Kaolinite? It would be nice to have her….fed to the Gem's power." The blonde haired teen said.

"Very well." Kaolinite opens up her palm and the red gem flies to it. Kaolinite presses the gem to Linda's for head and her soul gets sucked out of her. Linda lets out one last loud gasp of air and then she falls over. Her eyes rolled up into the back of her head.

"There will be more where that came from. Now, dispose of this….sacrifice." Kaolinite walks out of the room.

""Yes madam Kaolinite." Said a pink haired teen girl. The blonde and the pinkette drag Linda's corpse away….

…

It's morning again.…Nodoka & Falcom are with Nepgear and Osaka. The four girls eat breakfast together.

"Glad I ran into someone familiar." Falcom said, smiling at Nepgear.

"Me too. I was worried it was just me and Osaka." Nepgear said and eats her toast.

"Breakfast so good. Who made it?" Osaka asked.

"I did." Nodoka replied.

A figure in the trees is watching them. She uses binoculars to get a better look inside. She sees the four girls laughing and eating, having a good time. "So, it looks like Nodoka is forming a group….I shall tell madam Kaolinite. It's time for things to change around here."

The blue haired teen says and leaves… what will happen next?

Nico, Emma and Anri are moving again. They explore old cabins and find old junk in treasure chests, with a little bit of useful items in the mix. Emma's leg is fully healed. She thanked Anri and kissed her on the lips as a thank you gift.

The three come across an….interesting building. It's not a cabin, it's made of stone. "Huh? Wonder what's inside." Anri turns the knob, but it's locked. "Looks like we need a key to get in."

"Or…we just break it down." Emma pops her knuckles and gives the door a hard right! ZAP! Emma gets sent flying by an electric shock explosion.

"EMMA! You ok!?" Anri checks on her girlfriend. Nico spits a golden treasure chest nearby. Nico goes to it and opens it.

"Yeah, I'm alright. I have a feeling the key might be inside." Emma gets back up.

Anri sees Nico by the golden chest. "Hey? What you find?"

"Eh? Oh it was empty." Nico lied. She hides a clear potion behind her back…it read: Revives you upon death, effect lasts for one day. Anri and Emma start to head somewhere else now. A map would be beneficial….

Nico places the potion in her bag. "I can't let anyone have this…" Nico rejoins Anri and Emma.

Nodoka, Falcom, Nepgear and Osaka head out for the day.
