Chapter 9

I don't own Persona or Type Moon

A group of armored guards patrolled each corridor of both right and left hallways on the second floor. While one guards patrolled the entrance. He watched them as they calmly walked around. Most likely they were just doing rounds at this point and not putting much effort on they're actions. Not paying attention to neither the stairs or the main hallway as long as nobody made much noise. Thankfully that was the nature of cognition's. They can only operate so much on they're own without instruction from either the Palace Ruler or a stronger cognition. Not having they're own ego to be proper shadows.

He then turned his eyes to look into the giant picture in front of him. He hadn't seen anything like this in all the time he explored this Palace. A picture of this Palace Ruler committing some 'heroic' charge with his sword held high. He scoffed. There was nothing 'heroic' about this man. It was only another illusion this man made up to validate his actions and increase his ego.

But there was an advantage of this actually existing. It means this could lead into deeper parts of his Palace. Maybe near one of his Will Seeds or his treas-

He whipped his head around to the right at the feeling if two specific signatures. "How did you get here?" He barely whispered in shock. They shouldn't be here. He then preceded to run down the stairs to find them before they could get harmed.

The armored guard turned it's head to look at the stair's. Only to see nothing. Said guard then looked at the entrance. After a few seconds it shrugged and kept patrolling. It thought it heard something.

She turned her head to look at her surroundings. Walls made out of bricks lined with cuffs and wooden boxes, like the ones you see from medieval movies. But somehow there they were in front of her. She then turned her head to look at the wooden table of similar look with wooden benches under it. She then turned her head to her sister who was standing near the rooms only door, touching the walls again to check if they were real. Wondering still the first thing that was voiced as soon as they found they're different surroundings.

How did we get here?

From one second they were standing in the schools third floor bathroom and suddenly they were in this medieval cell/room. It was a wonder she hasn't panicked and gotten them in an even worst situation. But other than her and Kasumi losing there cool in the beginning nothing else has happened. They just stood there and looked around the room to find any clues. But neither of them has found anything as off the last 30 minutes.

She heard he sister grunt, so she turned her head to look at her. She then started to worry when see saw her clutching her head. "Are you alright?" It was a dumb question considering their current circumstances but she couldn't help but worry. Getting sick at a time like this didn't spell good for neither of them.

"I'm fine." Kasumi let go of her head to then look at me. "I don't know what got us here. But standing here wont get us nowhere." Kasumi said as she moved to stand next to the table knocking on it to make sure it was still not a trick. Huffing when nothing change. She watched her as she then turned her head to face the door. "Whatever weird thing happened just took us to an old castles prison cell from the school bathroom. Our only solution is to leave through the door." She watched her message her head as she sighed. "Not like we have any more options."

Sumire nodded her head. Staying here would do nothing. But… "What if somebody finds us?" Maybe then they could leave this odd place.

Kasumi shacked her head. "Considering nothing has change the whole time we've been in her I doubt it. Plus there is no chance whatever happened here could've happened to out parent's." They lacked to much information to make heads or tails of the situation. "We have to find the entrance and leave this place." She turned her head to the door. Then turned her head to Sumire. "After that we can figure out were mom and dad are. Its our best option."

Sumire looked at her sister straight in the eyes. She breath in and out, calming herself. We can make. After a few second she nodded. "Alright." She made motion to follow Kasumi as she stood next to her. She then opened her hand to Kasumi. "Together?"

Kasumi smiled as she grabbed her hand and then headed to the door. "Together."

As they left the room they finally confirmed that yes the surrounding area was similarly structured as the room with a medieval castle like aesthetic. They were in a hallway it seemed. They checked their surrounding but found nothing else. Then they started to hear a sound coming from the left hallway. "Maybe its somebody that can help us?" Sumire asked. "You think its worth a try?" Kasumi looked both ways, weighing their options. She shook her head. "Lets first look in both direction and decide from there." Sumire nodded, seeing it as the less risky option. Both girls started walking to the left hallway entrance, following the now fading sound of heavy footsteps.

Kasumi peaked her head only to hide it just as fast. She turned to Sumire. "Some weird looking guy wearing armor and a sword. His helmet look's like a mask for some reason. I think hes patrolling the area." As she heard footsteps fade away she turned to look again to see him going away further in. Only to hide again as she heard him coming back. "Seems like it. Lets check the other-" They suddenly started hearing similar footsteps as the first coming from the other side of the hallway.

They turn their heads to look at what look like a man in armor with sword at hand walking into the hallway. They didn't move hopping for it to be somebody trying to find them and help them. "Who are you? And what are you women doing outside your room?" Only for their growing fears to grow at the response. The 'knight' started to approach them. "Seems like you will have to be captured and punished for disobeying King Kamoshida's rules." Knight tried to get clos-

"No. You wont." A black tree finger gloved hand clutched the knights mask, then pulled said mask off.

They try to turn to look at their unexpected savior only for the twitching knight to fall backwards and then suddenly exploded into a dark puddle on the floor. The girls watched as a a horse mounted knight with sharper armor come out out of said puddle. It looked ready to charge at the black gloved stranger.

Only for them to watch as a sword lodge itself into the knights head making it stop in its tracks and disappear into a black mist.

"What-What just happened? What is this?" Sumire couldn't hold back anymore her questions as the situation finally calmed down. At least she hopped it did.

Kasumi and Sumire watched as the person who saved them came out of the corner from were the knight came out. It was a man wearing what looked like a type of black colored skin tight armor that cover his upper body. One of his arms covered in a black skin tight long sleeve while the other arm bare, with both hands covered with a thin black three finger glove of similar design as the armor. His pants being black with various straps with his belt holding several compartments and a punch in the back, with what looked like a black cape hanging of from his waist. And finally on his head was a black cordovan hat, which he had tilted which covered his eyes. Said man who locked like a vigilante went to approach them, only for Kasumi to grabbed Sumire and pushed her behind her. Said action made the figure stop and raise his hands in a non threatening manner.

"I'm not here to harm you. I'm trying to get you out." Kasumi and Sumire looked at each other at his words. "This place is dangerous for you two. We have to move. Now."

"We need answers." Kasumi demanded after a short silence. "On what this is." She gestured to the surroundings

"You don't want the answers." The man answered back. "I'm just trying to get you out before you get hurt."

"Then how can we trust you?" Kasumi questioned him. The man stayed silent at her question.

"Your being honest aren't you?" Kasumi turned her head at her sister's question and her confident expression. Is there something she known's I don't? She then turned her head as she watch the man reach out and tilting is hat down further blocking his face from view. Does she know him? She then dropped her guard a bit. While it was new for Sumire to talk so confidently about somebody, she will trust her judgment. At least for now.

"Can we really trust you?"

Said man nodded his head. Not much of a talker huh? She then narrowed her eyes at him. "You better answer our questions." Said man sighed.

"Fine, I will. But first we need to go to a safer location before extracting you." He then pointed his hand to the room were they came from. "That safe room will do." He then finally lowered his hands as he proceded to walk forward to the room.

"But first we need your name." He then stopped at her words. "Cant give it either?" He shacked his head, then turned his still covered face at their direction.

"Revealing ones true name in this place will only pose more danger for said person. So I cannot give you my name." He paused. "But I can give you my code name for now."

What? No revealing names? Code names? Safe Room? What is this place? Kasumi's question only kept pilling up. Her mind was working over time trying to remember and store the information for her questioning. It gave her a bit of a headache but she ignored it for now. She watched as the strange man lifted his hat to finally show his face.

A pair of golden eyes behind a bandana style mask stared back at her.

"My codename is Morgana. And I'm a Phantom Thief."

Welp. Its been a bit. Kasumi's and Sumire's suddenly dive into a new unknown world. When danger rears their head they were saved by a mysterious new ally. But can they trust him?

Sorry for the late updated. Had this nearly finished yesterday but some of my data was apparently not saved. That and the recent power outages didn't help.

Also the fact this chapter is quite important for me. Since this is the debut of Shirou in his Phantom Thief attire. Shirou already knew how his will of Rebellion would take shape, but some things were modified so it could be more Phantom Thief-isk.

Plus a hat. It was important. I swear.

Also this will be a small norm when we get a Phantom Thief Transformation. So when you see a big chapter there will be a a chance that it will most likely a transformation chapter.

Now onto the reviews!

Dasgun-Good to see ya around. Hope you like the chapter

kdevillers141-I know right! I like cat Shirou more than I thought I would. Writing him this way has been such a great learning experience.

jiongu-naruto-The reason I mention the Muramasa as a Persona is that the Shirou I'm using has zero to no access to Muramasa unless either he has Muramasa as a Persona(Somehow) and gain info from him or to have access to any type of record from the old man and go a similar route as the old man. And I'm aware of the lore of both the old man and his sword. In case of making a one omake chapter about it is up in the air at the moment. I'm entertaining the idea to just make a side story that is just an accumulation of ideas that Shirou might've done/multiple routes he could've taken.

Kanon-Sorry about waking you up. I also have similar issues when a story I like gets updated late. I blame the time zone differences. Yeah the girls have been getting a string of bad luck. But that's sadly a given considering Shirou has a bad case of E-Rank luck. Which makes it funnier since in JP black cats are actually lucky. And thanks for the concern. Thankfully I didn't lose anything and my area is fine Kasumi's Persona reveal is close. But in the same way Sumire's reveal is close. So we will have to wait a bit.

Welp that's all I have for now. Please leave a review. Your comments energize me into writing these stories and having an outside opinion is always helpful for me improving or getting ideas to incorporate in the story. And thank you for the many follow's and favorites we've been getting. Were nearly in 100 follows! I'm so excited!

Hope you enjoy.
