Chapter: Five
( Five Days Later )
Sirius's POV
As we were finishing up on some of the smaller details of our newest prank for tomorrow morning I was getting even more excited because, I know this prank will bring a big smile to Hermione's face and with everything that's been going on I just want to take her mind off of things and bring a smile to her little face.
" What if we get the house elves to help us get it in the food instead of sneaking into the kitchens " Prongs whispers while tapping his fingers on the table
" What makes you think they'll help us this time? They never helped before when we asked what makes you think they'll help us now? " Wormtail squeaked out while slightly glaring at Prongs and that made Prongs glare back at him
" What if we say this prank is more for Mia then us... I know Winky and some of the other house elves have a soft spot for her " I whispered while looking over to where Hermione is sitting reading her book and cuddling her teddy bear to make sure she's doing okay but when I didn't see her sitting there anymore I stood up, and started looking around the common room for her. I was about to freak out when I finally saw her sitting on one of the couch's next to Evans reading and I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding...
" Padfoot what's going on? What's wrong? " Prongs asked with worry in his voice
" I couldn't find Mia for a second... But she's just reading with Evans over there " I slowly say while I looked a little closer at Hermione to make sure she comfortable sitting with Evans since I know how shy she can be around new people and when I saw that Hermione was okay where she was I sat back and got back to talking about our newest prank.
Hermione's POV
I was sitting on the floor trying to read one of my favorite books but I was having trouble with some of the big words and when I looked over at Siri he looked busy with his friends and I didn't want to disturb him cause he has a big smile on his face. They were also talking really quietly so it has to be something important because older people do that when they talk about important things and I was always told you don't interrupt important things... So I looked around the room and I saw this pretty red hair girl sitting on the red big couch reading a big book so that must mean she likes to read like me but, what if she's like that lady who always yells at me but daddy, Siri and Reggie always protect me from her... I know not every lady is like her but I just cant help but feel like they are so I took a deep breath to bring my brave side out like Siri always does, and I stand up then I picked up my teddy first and then my book and slowly walked over to her.
" Ummm... E-Excuse me? " I nervously mumbled while poking her foot with my foot
" What can I do for you sweetheart? " The red hair girl says with a small smile and a sweet voice and that made me feel a little less nervous
" U-Ummmm... I was wondering if yo-you c-can read with m-me? I having trouble reading the big words in my book but if you busy I understand... " I mumbled while holding teddy closer to me
" I'm not busy at all I can read that with you " The red hair girl says with a big smile
" Really? " I excitedly ask with a big smile and when she nodded her head I put the book on the couch and then placed my teddy gently on the book and tried to climb up on the couch too but with me being so tiny I was having trouble with my goal of getting up
" Here let me help you " The red hair girl gently said before picking me up and gently placed me on the couch next to her
" Thank you " I say with a big smile " But w-what your name? " I ask realizing I don't know her name just her hair color
" My name's Lily... What's your name? " Lily says/ asks
" I'm Hermione " I say while picking teddy back up and hugged him close to me
" It's very nice to meet you Hermione! " Lily softly said
" You too Lily "
" Well... Why don't we start reading this book? " Lily asks me with a small smile while also picking up the book I had next to me
" Yes please " I softly mumble while getting myself comfy with teddy then Lily started reading it and I couldn't help but scoot a little closer to see the page too; A little after Lily finished reading my book to me I was starting to get really hungry so I set my teddy down next to me and I carefully slid down from the red couch " Thank you for reading to me Lily " I say while grabbing my teddy bear and book
" Your very welcome Hermione " Lily said with a small smile and I smiled back before walking over to where Siri is still sitting
" Siri " I shyly say while tugging on his pant leg hoping he wont get mad at me for interrupting him with his friends even though deep down I know he would never get mad at me for something like this
" What's wrong Mia? Is everything alright? " Siri asks with some worry in his voice
" I hungry " I shyly say looking down while playing with my fingers and when I heard him lightly laugh I looked up to seeing Siri smiling and I couldn't help but smile back
" Well... We could go down to the kitchens for a small snack since dinner isn't for another three hours... If you want to do that or wait for dinner Mia? " Siri softly asks
" Ummmmm... To the kitchens for a small snack please! " I say with a big smile
" Kitchen's it is... Does anyone want to come with us? " Siri asks while standing up and when he was fully standing up I lifted my hands up so he can pick me up and it made me extremely happy when Siri picked me up right away like he always does
" I'll go with you both " Moony says with a little nod while also standing up from the table
" Yeah sure I'll go with you... I could also use a snack myself so why not " James said with a big smile
" I'll go with " Peter squeaked out and once everyone stood up from the table we all walked out that big door with the badly singing lady painting that always hurts my little ears when Siri asks to open it. I still don't understand why she wants everyone to hear her sing or why she's always trying to break that glass cup with her voice, when we all she breaks it and pretends her voice did it... But that okay... If that makes her happy to have everyone hear her sing then I continue to cover my ears when we get close to her painting; When we got in front of this painting Siri told me to tickle this pare and when I did this door appeared and the kitchen came in view and I couldn't help but smile at all of the house elves running around making food and doing other things
" What can Winky do yous? " Winky asked with her normal hop
" Mia here was getting hungry and I was really hoping you wouldn't mind getting the little lady a snack since dinner's not for another three hours?! " Siri asked while bouncing me up and down and I couldn't help but giggle
" Of course of course... Whats would the Little Miss like to eats? " Winky asked with a big smile and she was hopping making her big ears bounce with her
" Ummm... Can I have a banana muffin please Winky? " I shyly ask while playing with my fingers
" Of course you cans " Winky says before running off to get the muffin and Siri walked over to the little table to placed me in one of the chairs
" Will you be okay here... I need to ask one of the house elves for something? " Siri gently asks
" I be okay "
" If you need me for anything just yell for me " Siri says and I nod my little head letting him know I understand and before he walked over to his friends are Siri dropped a light kiss to the top of my head
" Here is your muffin Little Miss " Winky said as she placed the banana muffin in front of me " And here is a small glass of milks " Winky added after everything was placed in front of me
" Thank you Winky " I say with a big smile
