Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Spark of War. Enjoy the 2500-word chapter. I don't own Avatar, Nick, Michael Dante DiMartino, and Bryan Konietzko do.
Ty Lee felt a smile come over her face as she did so. There was an odd bearing on her mind. It hadn't yet gotten where it should have been.
She felt him drum on her legs, pacing herself as to how the heck she'd have left… But she had to, eventually. She waited until Hao had fallen asleep before slowly helping him to the ground and then flipping and leaving out the hole in the wall which seemed to have been there for a while. There was a nightmare brewing in her mind. This chaotic thing should have been handled better.
Ty Lee risked a glance back at Hao before she gave him a quick hug. She was happy, so happy to have gotten him here and so been ensured that it was nice and peaceful.
Ty Lee knew peaceful things didn't last. Not the way they should have been. No. A lot worse things were coming if there was any doubt in her mind. Ty Lee wasn't used to having nice things in her life. Not desires like this. There was so much chaos in her life that it all made itself scream.
(Present day)
"Are you going to be, ok?" Ty Lee heard as she came back.
There was a second of silence as she looked around. This circus was so odd that she felt thrown off. Yes. She couldn't have allowed herself to have gotten where it should be. She wasn't prepared mentally for such a thing at the end of the day.
Yep. They'd not have been something that she hated nor despised. She wanted it to have been prepared for when it was all said and done, it was such an odd day to be herself when it came down to it. Such things had thrown her mind into a tizzy when it seemed to have gotten off the mind.
He was so bored, so thrown off by this. So tired and yet? Hao had been willing to talk with her for so long that it had been so odd for now.
"Hmm, I have to come back to this place. It's so fun when it comes down to it… So sad it has to end like this. Oh well, there's always tomorrow." Ty Lee said with an amused smirk on her face as she slowly started to retreat.
"This is going to be fun." Ty Lee said before she swung deeply into the jungle surrounding the base. "Well, funnier than usual. We're going to be able to talk tomorrow." Ty Lee said before she rubbed at her temples.
She slowly began to relax. and slowly looked around the room, too unsure for now what to do. She was far too unsure of herself when it was all over for now. It had to be prepared for the time being to it when all of it was said and done for now. he knew more than her what was coming and how well it'd have been for now. This was such an odd little spot of history when it was all said and done for now. He had so much more to have done.
It was a lot more to have to question what to have done before now when it seemed to have been anywhere now. They had a bigger fish to fry and a lot more to deal with when it came down to it. All of them needed to have been done when this was said she had no real regrets snuggling up to him when it was all over. She didn't honestly mind it much at all.
They had helped her so much and yet she hadn't repaired them at all. No, that couldn't do. She needed to make sure that they were even, that was one of the few things she respected from her parents when they had taught her it. if she had been rewarded with a nice place to have to rest her head. She couldn't just look a Komodo Rhino in the mouth when all of this was said and done, that wasn't fair, it wasn't right.
"We need to be fully ready for whatever comes and you? Well, I want to make sure that you, Cutie is all safe and sound, I couldn't begin to think of what would happen if something happened to you." Ty Lee said while she sighed and darted further and further into the night.
She didn't know if anything was going to help her state or anything peacefully. If anything? All she had done was simply give them more and more ammo to focus on such little things. They couldn't be more thrown off by these issues if they tried. It was entirely clear they had been prepared for the worst and the worst wasn't even upon them.
(Present day)
Hao was bothered more and more by the reports which came in when the time came down to it. He didn't know what it should have been like on the frontlines for most officers, but it angered and made him tired. He didn't even wish to think about how well they had thought about such issues when it came down to it.
He doubted the majority of officers cared if at all. They had bigger fish to be frying and it was clear that the problem was just beginning and it was entirely clear to him. They had more problems on the horizon and all this did was push it over the line.
To him? Well, Hao was someone who may or may not when it came down to it back down, he just didn't at all let anyone know his next move which meant he had a chance for the time being. They had more to have done and he had a lot more to do.
Hao placed his hands on the table in front of him, all too unsure of the best course of action before now. He didn't at all know what the plan was and he didn't much care.
He had no qualms about victory… Not yet, not without a certain idea for the time. Hao was going to be perhaps curious which meant they had time to prepare but so did he and yet? He had a pretty good idea in mind for what to have to do next. He didn't at all know what to question before now.
This wasn't going to be something he could just march his way through, he didn't have the troops or the resources for a direct siege….
It reminded him of the last time he had met Ty Lee years ago when she had shown him a game.
(Years ago)
Ty Lee showed up a night later, a box in her hands. She had no trouble setting it up on the same pillar where she had talked to her friend. She had left him the box there and forgotten about it till she had returned with him, making certain that she had kicked off her shoes so she had maximum traction for the time being. It was a long day for her and she had hoped to spend time with her friend.
She looked around the room, too interested, too unsure, and uncertain of her next move. It had been a while before she had been allowed to do so and she wrapped her legs around her friend, stopping them both from falling to the ground.
There were a few seconds of silence as she rested her hands around her throat.
"So, should I ask what this game is?" Hao asked before he shook his head before he sighed.
"I don't know if I'm honest." Ty Lee stated before Hao shook his head. "I got it from one of the traders near the base." Ty Lee added to which he shook his head.
"Then we don't at all understand it? That's something fun when it comes down to it… I don't know a lot of fun games, Ty." Hao said to which Ty Lee smiled.
She didn't at all know what to have to question before he found it something for now. She didn't at all know before it came down to handling it for now. He hadn't yet found it to be odd when it comes down to more than he had managed. Things had yet been odd and odder still at the end of the day and he had simply wished to have found an answer to it all at the end of the day.
If anything? They had more and more problems that needed to have been something that should have been handled. It was clear they had more and more problems that needed to have handled.
He didn't at all need to understand any of it for him to laugh at how odd it had been. It had been quick for them to have accounted such issues which should have been possible for. They had a lot more to discuss anyway. Such problems only deserved to have been made worse and worse.
She looked at her friend with interest as he looked around, too interested in what to do next. It was clear such problems hadn't at all seemed to have made it hurt more.
"Are you going to be, ok?" Ty Lee asked as she snuggled into his side, amused while she talked about what to do after this. "I know the Fire Nation army isn't going to be easy for dozens of soldiers." Ty Lee stated before she sighed to herself.
She knew more than anything military life wasn't for her but possibly for him. She couldn't have imagined why he'd want to be a soldier, but that was not at all her call to make, there were better reasons for this… Far better than such problems which it seemed to question for now.
She hugged herself against Hao before she clicked her tongue against the roof before she seemed to question before she tilted her head.
"What's going to be happening next?" Ty Lee questioned to which Hao frowned to herself before she tilted her head.
"I don't know, Leo. What's going to happen next? We have more and more problems each day. We need soldiers for every single problem for now.
Ty Lee tilted her head before she clicked her fingers on the table, she looked around before she clicked her tongue against the roof of her mouth. She sighed before she tilted her head to the side.
It wasn't something that should have been coming down to it. she snuggled into her side before she looked over the rest of the room. It was clear to her that if she wasn't honest with herself? Well, Hao wasn't going to last long on the battlefield which she had found to have been odd, she needed to have been a soldier to understand her point.
Hao hugged the woman against his side as he tilted his head before she smiled to herself. They'd need to have done something else.
"I don't know what's to do next. I don't know what to do next." Hao said before she wrapped her feet around her and her arms around her throat. "We don't know what's going to happen," Hao stated before he looked around.
"Are you going to be, ok?" Hao questioned before he tilted her head to the side. "What are we doing next? We have a lot to discuss. I don't know what to do for the time being when it comes down to it." Hao asked as she cuddled into his side, clearly amused and entirely thrown off for now. It was clear that he had more and more problems to have done for now. It was something else on his mind. Something he should have done without.
Hao was silent before now while he shook his head before he looked around and then yawned, hugging him to his side before he sighed to himself.
It was clear something would break sooner or later.
"I'm worried once the war breaks out? They aren't going to want to surrender. My commander said not to accept surrenders… Why? We should be focusing on winning the war honestly, not killing every single person who fights us." Hao said to which Ty Lee sighed to herself.
She knew that Hao wasn't going to be ready for battle or might run into problems sooner or later. She snuggled deeper into his chest, her legs and arms wrapping so tightly around him he might as well break. Ty Lee felt as if she'd hate them for being so cruel.
It was then he tapped her head gently, making it clear that unlike her that Hao wasn't going to hold it against her. He was a warrior and it was part of life that he had to take from the world. They were soldiers and it was clear she was worried.
"Ty Lee? You, ok? I don't want to bug you. I don't know what's wrong, but I don't want you to worry about me. I'm going to be fine; this is what I signed up for." Hao said as he tilted his head to the side. "It's clear they think about things that aren't true, doesn't mean we need to act like that. I'm not going to do that when I get to be an officer." Hao said as she hugged him tightly, clearly scared.
"A lot of people are going to die in that war, you know that, right?" Ty Lee asked to which Hao nodded.
"Yeah, but that doesn't mean I'm going to be one of them, Ty Lee… I ain't going to die easy. I don't want to kill people left and right unless we have to." Hao said before he shook his head.
He didn't at all know what to tell her. He knew he should tell her something good about how he could handle it. However? It was clear that he had been ready for war but she wasn't. Not her problem, they both had different paths and Hao wasn't going to chide her for not viewing his path differently.
"You are going to be ok, right?" Hao questioned before he sighed and looked to the side and looked around.
He hadn't yet questioned before he tilted his head at her and then looked around. They had a lot of things to check upon and this was… One which needed to be done and done permanently.
Author Notes
Phew, another chapter is done. I want to point out that the next chapter will be in 2-10 months and will be in 2-10 months. It will show more of Ty Lee and Hao hanging out and more about their future. Until the 900–6500-word chapter or such, Lighting Wolf is out!
