Ned, MJ, Kamala, Laura, Fitz, Mack, Yo-Yo, Simmons, Doreen, Daisy, Coulson, May, Ava, and Deke walked into the Sanctum after Strange had contacted them. They were a little confused by the snow but were informed of what was happening. Well, they were at least told the cliff note version of it.
"I can't believe I'm in the Sanctum Sanctorum," Kamala said in awe as she looked around the place.
"Neither can I." Strange couldn't believe that he allowed this to happen.
"So, how'd you know that you were made of magic?" Ned asks Strange. "Because my nana says we have it in our families, and sometimes I get these tingles in my hands-"
"You should talk to your physician." Strange informed him as he made his way up the stairs.
"Peter!" MJ cried as she ran ahead and hugged him.
"I'm so sorry that I dragged you into this." Peter apologized to his friends, needing them here where it was safe. If any of the other villains came looking for them, he needed a way to protect them. "I really need your help finding these guys."
"No, it's okay. You got us a second chance at college." MJ assured him it was okay.
"So, how'd these guys even get here?" Kitty wonders.
"We screwed up a spell trying to get you into college." Strange informed the girl.
"You did what?" Mack asked Peter.
"You did it with magic?" Ned wonders.
"I thought it was the MIT lady you saved," Ava commented.
"No, that was after the spell," Peter told them, admitting his mistake. "Listen, let's just focus on the good news right now."
"No, let's focus on the bad news." Strange tells them from the top of the stairway. "As of now, you have detected zero multiversal trespassers, so get on your phones, scour the internet, and... Scooby-Doo this shit!"
"You're gonna tell us what to do after it was your spell that messed everything up?" Melinda asked the Doctor. "That technically means that all of this is really your fault."
"Yeah, I also know a few magic words myself, starting with the word: please." MJ agreed with her.
Strange sighed and just shrugged. "Please. Scooby-Doo this shit." Then he started to walk off in a huff. "You can work in the undercroft."
"The undercroft?" Ned asks, almost like he knew what he was referring to.
When they made their way down into the undercroft with their portable S.H.I.E.L.D. equipment set up to help. Ned flicked on the light switch; they saw washing machines, tool shelves, and a lot of junk.
"Pretty sure undercroft is just a magic word for basement," Doreen commented on where they were working.
"Badass." Ned didn't seem to care as they quickly placed their equipment down.
"Not how I would describe it, but to each his own," Ava commented as she looked around.
"Guys, about this whole spell thing-" Peter tried to explain to his friends and family.
"It's okay, Pete," Daisy promises him.
"Yeah, it's okay." MJ agreed.
"What? Really?" Peter asked.
"Yeah, you were just trying to fix everything." Kamala agreed.
"Just, you know, next time, maybe run it through the whole group," Mack asked of him. "That way, we could maybe give our input in the thought of 'I'm about to go use magic to fix everything."
"Yeah, doesn't sound as good when said out loud." Peter agreed with a mutter.
"Maybe next time we could do some brainstorming, workshop, maybe not destroy the multiverse." Jemma agreed with them.
"Deal," Peter said as he looked at Ned. "Ned?"
Ned was holding a crossbow and shrugged. "Dude, I don't care. It's seriously not a big deal." Then he noticed something in the back of the room. "Ooh! A torture rack."
"That's a Pilates machine," Kitty informed their friend.
"So, a torture rack." Daisy joked.
"Okay, and this must be the crypt," Melinda said as she eyed all of the empty cells.
"So, we track down the villains, you go out there, zap them back here." Coulson recapped part of the mission.
"Doctor Magic sends them back, then when we get into MIT, stale doughnuts, my treat," MJ tells her friends.
"Let's kick some multiverse men." Doreen agreed as she walked over and saw them.
"Hey! Who the hell are all of you?!" DeVoe asks from his cell, getting sick with his intelligence still not understanding anything going on.
"We're Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D," Melinda tells him.
"And we're the A-Team!" Kamala proclaimed with pride, getting annoyed looks from everyone. "What? Tell me it's not catchy."
"And, sorry, what's your name?" Doreen asks him.
"Professor Clifford DeVoe." DeVoe introduced himself to them.
That got odd looks coming from everyone before they busted out laughing. DeVoe didn't seem to catch onto what was so funny, not knowing that they'd never met anyone with what sounded like a real comic book name.
"Wait, that's your actual name?" Laura asked him. "Did your parents hate you?"
"Ooh, is that a robot?!" Ned asked as he eyed Savitar.
Savitar looked towards them and lay against the wall of his cell. Waiting for the perfect chance to escape, even if it wasn't coming any time soon.
DeVoe also tried to escape, but all he could do was look and see the device controlling his chair was far out of reach. There was nothing he could do with all of them around and keeping eyes on the imprisoned criminals.
Everyone also started to get dressed into their superhero persona outfits. Peter was about to get dressed in his when he noticed that the paint stain was still there. He has been using his Iron-Spider suit since the incident, which means he needed to clean it off.
As he did so, the team set up their computers to start a search for any alternate dimensional activity. Searching for anything anywhere on the web whilst MJ picked up a box of how to make a goatee.
"Hey, I've got something!" Deke called out, getting their attention as they looked at his screen. "We've got reports on a disturbance near a military research facility. Reports coming in saying they saw a monster flying through the air."
"That must be the Goblin." Peter would know that description anywhere.
"It's impossible." DeVoe finally spoke in a calm voice since they met.
That got their attention as Peter walked over towards him. "You knew him. Goblin. You said his name on the bridge."
"Norman Osborn," DeVoe said as he faces the wall away from them. "A brilliant scientist who was mostly into military research. But he became greedy, misguided. Foolish."
"Sounds eerily familiar," Fitz commented.
"What happened to him in your world?" Peter was curious to learn what the differences were.
"He died years ago," DeVoe answered his question. "So, either who we saw on that bridge was somebody else...or you're flying into the unknown to fight a dead man."
That seemed to get under some of their skin, but not as much as Peter's. The thought of what happened to Norman Osborn still haunts his memories after what he did to Peter.
"Okay, let's go before he gets away," Peter said as he looked at Daisy and Yo-Yo. "Uh, you two mind staying behind here? I just would feel better if some stayed behind in case something happened with them."
"Yeah, we've got it covered." Daisy agreed it was the smart move.
"We've got this. Go." Yo-Yo agreed as the heroes left.
"What about you?" Ava asked Peter, looking at his clothes.
"I've got my suit covered," Peter promises.
It turns out Peter turned his suit inside out to cover up for the paint on it. It was practically the same in terms of style but instead of black and red, it was all black with a yellow outline. While the suit fabrication has lots of circuit lines, this suit has a mystical armlet on his right wrist.
Peter swings alongside trees and power lines at dusk with Kitty in his arms to keep up. Ava was leaping from tree to tree alongside Doreen, using their animalistic powers to their advantage to keep up.
Kamala was stretching her legs out to reach out and walk above the trees like a giant. She had her hands clustered and folded on one another as she was carrying Laura inside of them.
In the undercroft, Ned tries to find something to eat in the fridge, but backs off, seeing it's full of weird interdimensional creatures.
"Anything good to eat, Ned?" Daisy asked him.
"No." Ned immediately responded and walked away from it.
"Keep an eye out on those trees, we don't really know where this guy is," Simmons warns the team with a smile on her face. "Oh, it feels just like old times."
"You mean with us sending children out into dangerous missions?" Coulson asks her, never being okay with it. But he always trusted Peter.
"I remember it more fondly," Simmons said and went back to the screens.
"I genuinely don't know how you do this without throwing up," MJ commented as she watched them swinging.
"Please don't talk about that," Kitty begged of her, trying to hold in her gagging reflex from the swinging. "I'm having difficulty not doing it as it is."
'Sorry, let me put you down." Peter said as he decided to meet up in a clearing up ahead.
Peter was the first to land, letting Kitty go so she could get her feet back. Doreen and Ava were the next to come to a stop nearby and they started to look around. Kamala then shrank down and released Laura from her hands before shrinking back to normal.
They then started to look around and wondered what they were looking for. As they were looking, there was a sudden light and they looked and just missed something running past.
"Did you guys see that?" Peter asked them.
"The sudden flash of red lighting that zoomed past us?" Laura asked, ready to pounce with her claws ready to impale something. "No, I missed it."
Then they missed the flash of yellow and purple lighting speeding past on the other end of the clearing. As they kept looking around, they were waiting for something to happen.
After a while, Peter completely freezes in his tracks and his suit's eye lenses widen, immediately getting the attention of the group.
Behind them all, something sparkly and blue starts forming from the power lines, drawing electricity from the wiring. The air starts whirring, louder and louder. Blue light illuminates the darkness of the night and that gets all of them to spin and get ready for action. They looked up and noticed a shape of a human forming in the electricity.
"Okay, I wanna clarify with everyone, we can all see that, right?" Kamala asked the group.
"We see it," Ava confirmed.
"Is it Electro?" Coulson asked them.
"Max was yellow, this one is blue." Peter reminded Coulson.
"So... you wouldn't happen to be from another universe, would you?" Doreen asked about the electrical form.
"You thought that would work?" Laura asked her friend.
"What's he doing?" Daisy wonders.
"Looks like he's charging or something." Peter took a guess.
"I don't like this. Just web him." MJ tells Peter.
Peter agreed as he shoots a web, but it flies straight through the blue visitor's body, hitting a tree, which materializes in the crypt, startling the entire group.
Back in the forest, the villain - Livewire - opens her eyes and immediately fires a bolt of electricity toward the A-Team. The kids immediately quickly tried to avoid the blast and scurried away through the woods. Lightning bolts zap through the trees, giving chase to the heroes as they did their best to dodge the attacks.
As they tried to get away, Peter ended up getting zapped and his suit managed to short circuit on him. Crawling to his feet, Peter watched as the form was starting to become clearer from the bolt of lightning. They were still attacking the others, giving the impression that Peter was facing their back.
But when he was getting ready to get up and fight, his senses started to tingle again and cause Peter to look around in worry. He wondered why or what was setting them off and decided to go and help his friends. But he seemed to have chosen to do so at the wrong time as he was sent flying across the woods and slammed against a downed tree.
Groaning, Peter looked up and saw a man standing in front of him with a full yellow suit, glowing red eyes, and a lighting emblem on his chest. Reverse Flash.
"Hello, Peter Parker." Eobard Thawne greeted him, vibrating his voice to appear menacing.
"Hi. Did I do something to piss you from another dimension, too?" Peter asked this guy.
"I may not know where I am or what the circumstances are that brought me here," Thawne said as he started to vibrate his hand. "But what I do know...I'm about to kill Spider-Man."
But before he had the chance to send his fist into the chest of the hero, another blast of electricity came speeding and punched Thawne. The Reverse Flash was sent flying across the woods as Peter looked and found what he figured was another speedster.
She wore a purple jacket with a similar lightning bolt on her chest that the Reverse Flash wore. The only difference was that it was in... reverse. She had a mask over her eyes that only covered her eyes.
The figure who was revealed to be Nora West-Allen - XS - didn't know how she got here or even where here is. But all she saw was Spider-Man in danger and just acted fast to save her family's friend.
"Peter, it's me," Nora said as she helped the hero to his feet. "Nora, you remember?"
"Uh," Peter didn't know exactly what to say. "I'm Peter, but I'm not your Peter."
"What do you mean you're not my Peter?" Nora asks in confusion. "What the heck is going on?"
"I'll explain everything, but can you help us stop these guys?" Peter asked of the stranger.
"Uh, okay, sure." Nora decided she could help them out.
"You help out my team with this lighting guy, we'll handing the fast guy," Peter told her the game plan and tapped his comm. "Kamala, you and Kitty are with me. Everyone else, pull the plug on this guy."
"Got it!" Doreen cried as she crawled up the side of the power cables.
"We're on it!" Kamala cried as she stretched her limbs out and made it over to Peter.
Reverse Flash made his way running back towards the heroes. Peter looked and waited for the right moment and honed his senses. The moment Reverse Flash got close enough; he went in for a punch but was shocked when he saw Peter moving at superhuman speed to dodge the attack.
Working at almost the same speed as Thawne, Peter swung to punch him in the face, and Thawne immediately dodged and punched him into a tree. Working fast, he was ready to end this when Kitty came and kicked him in the knee, causing him to change targets.
But the second she hit the speedster; Kitty started to use her powers so he couldn't touch her. That set Thawne into a confused state as he's never seen anything like this in the past or future. And before he could even question that part of the situation, Kamala came in and punched Thawne with her enlarged fists.
Sending Thawne sliding around the forest and skidding against the ground. But the second he got his footing; he got back up and sped right back at them. But Peter managed to act faster and ended up shooting a web right at Thawne. The moment he realized what happened, it was too late as Thawne was transported and slammed into the invisible barrier.
"What the hell?" Thawne asks as he looked around.
Nora was currently helping out by running circles around the lighting form to create a sand barrier between them. The team was quickly working on ripping the power cables out of the towers to cut off her power supply.
"I can't hold this forever!" Nora warned as she didn't know how long she could keep this up.
"We're working on it, new girl!" Ava cried as she leaped across a gap and sliced the last cable.
Once they were all separated from the character, there was an explosion that sent everyone backward. When the swirl of sand cooled down that Nora had caused, it gave them a moment to regroup after the person was defeated.
"Different Peter," Nora commented as she looked at her (kinda) uncle remove his mask. "This is so weird."
"Thanks for your help," Peter tells the girl and pats her on the back.
Then the electrical being stood up, revealing to have been Livewire, Leslie Willis, stood up and looked around. Seems her clothes also turned to electricity as she wore a black jacket over a blue shirt and jeans.
"What the hell?" Leslie asked as she looked around, her electricity cooling down. "Where am I?"
"Hey," Peter called out to both Nora and Leslie. "This is going to sound insane, but this isn't your universe."
"What?" Nora asked in shock.
"Another universe?" Leslie questioned as she didn't seem confused by that. "That explains what I was feeling in there. The power. It's different." She then started to spark and her eyes glow blue. "I like it."
"You don't wanna do that," Kamala warned her as she got ready for round two.
"It's actually my fault you're both here," Peter admitted as he looked at the two of them.
"In the universe or the woods?" Leslie asked as she looked around, disgusted by her surroundings. "I hate the woods. Seriously, I hate the mud, water, animal shit everywhere."
"I... was referring to the universe," Peter tells her. "And in advance. Sorry."
"For what?" Leslie asks.
Peter then shot out a web and sent Leslie back to the lair. As soon as Leslie showed up in the dungeon, the lights started to flicker, and Reverse Flash waved at her.
Nora then started to look worried at what just happened. "What was that? Did you just kill her?"
"No, no, no. It's okay." Peter promises, realizing how it looked to the speedster. "You just have to trust me."
"I don't trust you. I don't even know you!" Nora proclaimed and sped her way at him.
But Peter took that time to then shoot a web at her. He was sorry that he had to do that to someone who helped them.
Nora sped straight into the concrete wall of the cell and groaned in pain.
"What the hell?" Nora asked as she looked around the area. "What happened?"
"You picked the wrong side, girlfriend," Leslie tells the speedster.
Nora then got a look around and noticed the S.H.I.E.L.D. group. Hearing what sounded like chuckling, she took a look and noticed the God of Speed in a separate cell.
"Savitar?" Nora asked in shock, surprised to see him here.
DeVoe looked shocked to hear that she knew who this person was. "Wait. You know this abomination?"
"Sorta," Nora admitted. "It's not an abomination. It's a man."
"Whoa," Ned was shocked as they were all listening in. "They're from the same universe."
"His real name is Barry Allen. He's...okay, genetically speaking, he is my father. But he's a time remnant of him. It was this whole thing." Nora did her best to explain what happened. "He turned himself into the fastest man alive, then turned himself into a god, then he wanted to copy himself across all of space and time. It was crazy and made very little sense."
"Ah, you never forget your first remnant," Thawne commented as he looked at Nora. "Glad to see you're still around."
"No thanks to you." Nora snarled at the man that betrayed her.
"Ooh, sounds like there's some history here," Daisy commented, enjoying the show.
"Which version are you?" Nora wonders as she looked at his face as close as she could with the cell. "Well, from the face, I'd have to guess that it'd have to be earlier on when you stole Wells' face."
Then they watched as Savitar started to kneel, his back opening up and the man stepping out. As she described, it was indeed Barry Allen with an entire portion of his face burned off from his speed.
"If I had to guess, it was your earliest death." Savitar took a wild guess.
"Isn't it nice to see how far the great Barry Allen had fallen?" Thawne struck back with a snarky tone.
"Are you all done?" Leslie asked in annoyance and looked at the group. "Where the hell are we?"
"Kinda complicated," Mack admitted.
"A wizard's dungeon," Michelle called out to them.
"A... wizard's dungeon?" Nora asked in shock.
"There's no real sugar coating that." Melinda shrugged. "It's like she said. It's literally the dungeon of a wizard."
DeVoe seemed to agree as he nodded in confirmation. He was listening to everything in silence, not wanting to contribute to this conversation.
"Well, you can keep your voodoo." Leslie declared as she wasn't interested in the magic. But she was interested in that new electrical energy she got a taste of. "I want another taste of that energy I felt out there."
They then felt something going on as the lights flickered. MJ's phone rang as Peter called and turned to answer it.
"Oh, Peter hey!" said MJ feeling relieved.
"Oh hey, did those three guys come through yet? There should be an electric guy and two speeders." Peter said while the others were working on repairing the wires.
"Yeah, they're all here and they're locked up," MJ assured him.
"Okay good. We're gonna stay here for a bit and try to fix some of this damage so they don't blame me or any of us." Peter explained what they're gonna do. "Again."
"Okay," MJ confirmed she understood.
" Hey, I, uh... I couldn't do any of this without you, so... Thank you. "Peter tells MJ, talking referring to the group.
Then there was a spark that caused him to freak and look back towards the wires. Laura was standing there with her claws out and growling.
"Great." Peter rolled his eyes.
Ned walked up to the cell with a tree in it and poked the branches. "Hey, ask him if this is like a tree monster or a scientist that accidentally turned himself into a tree."
"I'm sure it's just a tree, Ned," Yo-Yo said assuring him before leaning over. "Ask. Just to be safe."
