Jostanos: That particular titbit is coming in the filler chapter, which will follow this one;

WhiteElfElder: This story is a Good Dumbledore story: what do you think?

Light Dark Soul Dragon: Haven't you been paying attention? I said, roughly one or two chapters back, that, sadly, she was lost as a price for the great magic unwittingly invoked by our young Sorcerer Supreme;

Alix33: I agree; she does have a cool godmother…and, speaking of godmothers, just you wait until our favourite underdog comes onto the scene: trust me, it's going to be spectacular;

"I promise you, Lily," sighed Dumbledore, staring deeply into the watery image of the innocent soul whom he wanted nothing more than to protect and see ascend to true greatness, the likes of which not even he could imagine, "I will be different…for you and for your son…I will earn back your faith and, come the day, if he should need my aid, I will be here…"

Staring at the memory, Albus let another tear splash into the water before he whispered softly, "I swear it…on my sister's grave…"

The silent ripples of the Pensieve were his only response…

BOOK 1: A Mother's Love

Chapter 5: When Three Become One

If there was one phrase that best summed up what Lily found herself walking into when she returned to the Grangers' home, it would have to be the one that said history always repeated itself.

How did she know that was the right one?

Easy.

Because, as soon as she walked through the door with Remus, Tonks and Minerva by her side – the latter looking both shocked and relieved when she noticed how nice, normal and even welcoming the Grangers' home felt and appeared to be – the infamous black-haired missile that was her beautiful boy suddenly launched in her direction once again.

This time, however, Lily didn't know whether to laugh or cry, weeping tears of amused awe and wonder, as well as slight sadness, as the missile aimed for Remus, who barely had a moment to react before the owner of the missile wrapped his small arms around the older man's neck as he asked, "Uncle Moony? You came to see me?"

"I am and I have," replied Remus proudly, hoisting his honorary godson up so that he could hug the small boy, burying his nose into Harry's hair, like his wolf side was nosing and inhaling his boy's scent, as he added, "And I am also here to say that I am so sorry for leaving you, little cub: I didn't know anything about where you were, but, I promise you, I will never be more than a phone call, or even a fire-call away from now on!"

"Remus…" whispered Lily, watching as Harry snuggled against the older man's shoulder.

At the same time, seeing how happy, healthy and, judging by the amused looks that the Grangers sent them upon moving to see what had caused Harry to act so suddenly and without warning, even excitably-normal and childishly-lovable Harry was, Lily saw Minerva's eyes widen in awe while she wiped a tear from her eye as the small boy then turned his eyes on Lily.

"What about Padfoot? Is he here too, Mummy? I see Remy and…wow…Nemo: you're here too? Okay, so what about Padfoot? Please say he's coming, Mummy; I really miss him."

"And…and he really misses you too, sweetheart," replied Lily, watching as Remus set Harry down, though not before Tonks moved to take a-hold of her honorary little brother, tousling his hair fondly, while the emerald-green eyes of the young sorcerer turned to his Mother as she explained, "But right now, Padfoot is…he's going to be by to see you later; he just…he has things to do right now, okay?"

"Okay, Mum," said Harry, unaware of the sigh of relief from Remus as he looked to the other two people in the room.

At the same time, Lily saw Emma, Daniel and Hermione leave the kitchen, all three of them looking surprised to see the newcomers along with Lily, who just waved back at them. "Sorry for not calling beforehand. But, do you remember when I told you that I had something to do? This is it: allow me to introduce Harry's second godfather, Remus Lupin, along with my old friend and mentor, Professor Minerva McGonagall and my goddaughter, Nymphadora Tonks, but if you value your sanity, you won't call her that yourself."

"Nope, but I can call her Nemo, right, Nemo?" asked Harry, earning a scoff and a kiss to his brow from Tonks.

"Only if I can still call you Drooler, Harry," laughed the young girl, earning a hard, red-faced blush from Harry, while Tonks explained to an amused-looking Daniel, Emma and Hermione. "Seriously; you should have seen him as an ugly baby; more drool than a bloodhound…and the snot in his piggy nose…blech!"

"At least I can control my powers, Nymphadora!"

When the Grangers saw Tonks' hair turn red in rage, Harry quickly fled from his honorary sister's side, hiding behind his second godfather's legs as he gasped, "No! help me, Uncle Moony; don't let her get me!"

"Next time," growled Tonks, before she winked at Harry to show she was joking. "You're so lucky that you're so cute, Harry James Potter!"

A collective laugh filled the hall, before Daniel cleared his throat, drawing everyone's attention to him.

"It's nice to meet you all," said Daniel, looking now to Minerva before he asked, "And…I'm sorry, but…um…did she address you as her professor, Madame McGonagall?"

"She did," answered Minerva, noticing Hermione walk up to Harry, where she put a comforting arm around her soul-bonded, reassuring him that he was safe, strong, loved and happy. "And am I right to assume, Lily, this young girl is the magical being you said Harry was being raised with?"

"Yes," replied Lily, looking again to the Grangers as she explained, "This is Mr and Mrs…or is it Dr and Dr Granger?"

"Mr and Mrs is fine, especially since I'm not a full doctor yet," laughed Emma, earning a nod of mutual agreement from Daniel, both of whom then watched as their daughter was introduced to the Tonks girl; surprisingly, she seemed just as pleased to meet the girl as Harry was to be reunited with her, though the elder Grangers also laughed amusingly when they noticed Hermione took a vested interest in Tonks' hair, which was now dark-brown again, before Emma added, "Hermione: it's not polite to stare like that."

"Sorry," said Hermione, earning a wink from Tonks.

"Don't worry about it; you see, I'm a Metamorphmagus; I can change my face and, with time and training, even parts of my body to make myself look like anyone, or in any human way, I wish."

"Holy cricket!" gasped Hermione, earning a soft laugh from Harry.

"Yes, well, as she said, this is their daughter, Hermione," added Lily, indicating the girl now standing next to Harry as she told the Grangers, "And, to answer your next question, Daniel and Emma: I asked Minerva to come here along with some old friends of the family because…well, as you know, there are things we need to discuss, especially given what we now know about Harry and Hermione. Would you mind if we took this into the living room, Emma?"

"Not at all," answered Emma, before she narrowed her eyes as she added, "Although I might not have enough space to seat everyone."

"We'll take care of that, Mrs Granger," explained Remus, before he walked away from Lily, approaching Daniel and Emma as he extended a friendly hand to them, "I just want to say thank you, as well, for everything you've done for my cub. I know it must be strange raising a magical child, let alone two, but I'm relieved to see that you're not as…pretentious about normality as others."

"What's p…p…prete…that word Uncle Moony said?" asked Harry, his brow furrowing as he tried to say the word.

"Pretentious," said Lily, finding it just a little cute at the way that her son was capable of speaking so well and yet he struggled with such a big word like a normal six-year-old would – and, judging by the amused scoffs that left their mouths, Daniel, Emma, Remus and even Tonks seemed to agree with that sentiment. "It means stuck-up, Harry: really arrogant: I know that neither Dan nor Emma are like that with you and Hermione."

"Indeed not," agreed Daniel, shaking Remus' hand firmly before he laughed as he admitted, "Although, to be perfectly honest with you, we didn't actually believe Harry when he said Hermione had magic until Lily and Amelia pointed it out to us."

"Harry knows Hermione has magic?" asked Minerva, following the Grangers and their guests into the lounge.

As they did so, Lily, Remus and Minerva conjured several chairs to fill the room, though not before Lily waved her wand in the direction of the window, casting a charm that she explained to the Grangers would keep unwanted eyes from looking in and seeing the magic at work, while, to the shock of the Grangers, Minerva then cast a spell on the room to expand the space inside so that they wouldn't seem to be crushed or squashed in.

"That's just one small part of what I want to talk about, but I'd feel better knowing that everyone that we wanted to be here was here before we did so," said Lily, conjuring a tray full of drinks and snacks for everyone before, looking to her son, she asked, "Harry, I know that you and Hermione are…well, you're special, but I don't want you to get upset at what you might hear today, all right?"

When Harry looked at his Mother in confusion, Lily beckoned him over before, as he walked towards her, Harry's eyes widened as she removed a wrapped parcel from beneath her coat, handing it to her son as he reached her.

Seeing the shock in his bright-green eyes, Lily stroked Harry's dark hair between her fingers as she explained, "There are things you're going to hear today that you might not understand, sweetie, but everything you hear, it's all for you, as well as Hermione and it's all to help make you a better witch and wizard. So, I think it's only fair that you have this now rather than waiting like some people would have had you waiting."

"What is it, Mum?" asked Harry, earning a few soft laughs from the others as he perched himself on Lily's lap, his parcel in his hands while his eyes looked down at the wrappings and the soft materials.

"Something that will help you control your incredibly-powerful magic," answered Lily, teasing her son's hair softly.

Before she could say anything more on the subject, however, she was cut off by a knock at the door, which made her look in Emma's direction as she added, "That'll be the others; would you go and let them in, please, Emma? As one of the two owners of the house, I personally think it'd be better for you to meet them first."

"All right," agreed Emma, noticing Hermione as she moved to sit next to Harry, who held the parcel out to her while Emma went to answer the door.

A few seconds later, she returned accompanied by Severus and a trio of blonde-haired figures, one of whom gave a warm, bright smile that seemed to light up the whole room as she saw Harry sitting with his Mother and his bonded.

As soon as Harry saw the young girl smiling up at him, however, a new wave of awws and amused looks were shared between all the adults when he left Lily's lap quicker than before and ran to her, hugging her for all she was worth as he cried, "Luna! It's you!"

"Yes, dear heart," replied the girl, Luna, her voice soft, light-hearted and eerily-musical to behold.

And yet, as she hugged Harry, there wasn't a person in the room that could deny the warmth and caring that she gave the small boy.

Neither could they ignore the warm, radiant magic that seemed to pass throughout the room as Harry led Luna back to where Lily was sitting.

As the blonde sat on Harry's right-hand side, Lily indicated the grownups in the doorway as she explained, "All right now: everyone…well, Harry, Hermione, Daniel and Emma, anyway. This is Severus Snape, another old…friend of mine and another one of the teachers at the school where Minerva teaches students like Harry and Hermione."

Only Remus gave Lily a wary look when she hesitated before introducing Severus as her friend, while Hermione's eyes lit up with awe and curiosity, while Daniel and Emma's ears pricked up when Lily told them a little about what Minerva and Severus did as teachers.

Harry, however, was looking at Severus like he was trying to figure out a puzzle, before he found himself distracted by his Mother's voice, as well as the presence of yet another long-lost friend, meaning Luna.

"Also," continued Lily, watching as the newcomers made themselves as comfortable as the rest of them, whilst silently wondering why her oldest of friends and mentor was yet to join them – before she reasoned he must have opted to stay at Hogwarts to help Dumbledore and the others keep an eye on thigns while Lily and Minerva and Severus got their first looks at the future students.

Indicating her other friends, Lily cleared her throat as she explained, "Sorry…zoned out there for a moment; anyway, these two are Xenophilius and Pandora Lovegood, Luna's Mum and Dad: I asked them to be here because…well…things have changed from what they know to be truth."

"Oh no, it hasn't," laughed Luna, earning a warm smile from Hermione as she, like Harry, heard Luna say it in a manner that would only really have worked in a pantomime theatre, and yet, she pulled it off regardless.

At the same time, her singsong tone surprised the others as she then lifted herself out of her seat and, walking around Lily, she sat between Harry and Hermione, both of whom were looking at her with curiosity, but warm smiles as Luna looked to the curious-eyed brunette before she gave a friendly, warm, if not encouraging smile as she asked, "You're his, aren't you, Hermione?"

"I…uh…well…yes, I…I suppose so," answered Hermione.

To the shock of Dan and Emma, her voice seemed almost faraway and mesmerised as she looked into Luna's bright blue eyes; as Luna smiled in response, Lily watched as Xenophilius, Pandora and even Severus cast what could only be described as powerful warding spells around the room.

At the same time, Severus looked to his redheaded old friend as he told her, "Lily, you might want to move away from…your son…as, if this is what I strongly suspect it is, especially in light of something Pandora told me before we arrived, then I can assure you: this isn't going to be pretty."

Even though she was curious about the meaning behind his words, Lily moved away from her son and his friends while Luna turned to Harry, her eyes shining while she smiled warmly as she told him, "Hello, Harry Potter; I missed you, you know? But I just knew you'd be okay once you found your true self."

"I…I missed you too, Luna," admitted Harry, before he reached over and, taking Hermione's hand, he looked into her eyes as he asked, "Are…are you okay, Mia? You…you don't look too well."

"She's fine, dear heart," said Luna, before she surprised everyone as she took Harry's other hand, her free hand now holding Hermione's free hand.

Had anyone been looking down on the intertwined hands of the three magic users, they would have seen a mystical symbol that was identified as the triquetra: three oval shapes forming in the arms and hands of the three kids.

As soon as the shape was completed, however, Daniel, Emma, Minerva and even Remus all gasped as Harry, Hermione and Luna's bodies shone with a powerful, all-consuming aurora of golden lights, which seemed to travel along each of their arms, uniting the three in magic's embrace. At the same time, Harry and Hermione's hair seemed to take on a lighter, blonde edge as a few streaks appeared in their hairstyles while Luna gained a few darker streaks that, although he didn't say it out loud, reminded Severus of his good friend Narcissa Malfoy.

As they watched this going on, all who'd been in the room prior to the Lovegoods' arrival silently thanked Lily for her quick thinking in keeping the magic unseen by those outside the house.

Meanwhile, as the strange golden magic did its work, Daniel and Emma held their hands over their hearts while Lily felt her heart grow warmer than ever before; from her spot next to her, Pandora – a fair-haired, smooth skinned lady whom could have passed for an elf with her beauty and the warmth of her aquamarine-coloured eyes – also felt the warmth while Xenophilius – also known as Xeno to his friends – just smiled and closed his eyes, almost like he was basking in the glow that the three kids were giving off.

Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, the glow faded and the three kids were able to release their hands from one another, which was the cue for Daniel to glance towards Lily, Xeno, Severus and Pandora as he asked in a breathless gasp, "What…what in the name of…of God was that?"

"That, Doctor Granger, was the true power of the Sorcerer Supreme," answered Xenophilius, his choice of words earning a few surprised looks from Daniel and Emma while Lily moved to her son, looking him over while Emma did the same for Hermione; as for Luna, she just slid along to the end of the sofa, her eyes on the other two as they were checked over by their parents.

"What…what's that supposed to mean, Xenophilius?" asked Minerva, earning a sideways look from Pandora while she asked, "What…what we just witnessed, it was no ordinary bond of magic: what do you mean true power? And just who is this Sorcerer Supreme?"

"It's a Muggle thing, Minerva," said Remus, looking to Lily as he explained, "Lily explained about the Muggle comic books on the walk to the house: I can only guess that this Sorcerer Supreme is one reference. Anyway, it's still a good question, Xenophilius: what do you mean it's his true power?"

"I mean, as I am certain Lily would agree, given what happened when her son was in her belly, young Harry has always been destined for this level of greatness," answered Xenophilius, earning a soft blush from Harry at the reminder of his pre-birth abilities, while Xeno indicated Daniel and Emma as he went on, "As Lily has likely told you already, Doctor and Mrs Granger, her son has always has a strong grasp on his magical core's full abilities, even when she carried him inside of her for nine months. In turn, it was that same magic that saved Lily's life five years ago, albeit at the cost of something so precious…"

"Xeno," said Pandora suddenly, noticing Harry curl in on himself, before the beautiful lady went on. "I am certain our young compatriot needs no further reminders of times he would rather forget."

"I…I don't mind, Auntie Pan," said Harry, though Hermione and Luna had to hold his hands in theirs as they saw him tremble, while a lone tear rolled down his cheek, earning a saddened look from the Grangers and Lily.

"Heart of a lion, but the soul of a dragon," muttered Xeno, earning a slow nod from Remus while even the usually-stoic Professor Snape seemed to break his stern, stoic demeanour in favour of a compassionate glance in the direction of his in-school rival's only son, while the Lovegood male went on. "Similarly, it was that same magic, the call it gave off of Harry that drew your daughter to him, just as ours was drawn back to him today. In fact, not many of you may be willing to admit it…heck, I would imagine Remus is the only one, but…we were all compelled by Fate's unseen hand to come and reunite with the young Sorcerer Supreme today, though you may argue that it was your own free will."

To the surprise of the others, Remus did look like he was content, having just witnessed what he'd seen, while the others all shared curious, if not intrigued looks with one another as they let Xenophilius' mysterious words sink in.

"So…" asked Daniel suddenly, breaking many a train of thought whilst he sank into one of the chairs that Minerva had conjured, "If all this means what I think it does, then…just to clarify here, Mr Lovegood: are…are you saying that…that this soul bond thing Lily and Amelia told us about that our honorary son and our lovely daughter have? Are…are you trying to explain how it can be split between two future wives?"

"Yes," said Pandora, her voice soft, but still as warm as her husband and her daughter; as she looked to Luna, the female Lovegood elder went on with a comforting tone, "When she was a baby, in a bid to protect his future, and ensure a truly-neutral upbringing, Lily and James agreed to have Luna contracted to marry Harry if and when they came of age: however, in making the agreement with Harry's late Father, we inadvertently set both kids on the road to a much greater destiny."

"That means it was an accident," said Luna suddenly, her eyes on Harry as she saw him looking at the elders questioningly before he nodded.

"Yes, but then, sometime later, your daughter was added to the equation, undoubtedly by whatever hand of the Mystic Mother chose to bless her with the gift of protecting her beloved, and, in doing so, the process was nearly completed," said Xeno, though his choice of words earned many a curious, if not lost glance from the others.

Xeno, meanwhile, kept his eyes fixed on Hermione as he told the Grangers, "As a result, what you would call the power of the Sorcerer Supreme, we in the magical world would call someone with near-divine levels of magical control, far greater than even the greatest sorcerer alive today: Albus Dumbledore, the Headmaster of Hogwarts himself."

Awe flashed across Hermione's face as she looked to her intended, while Luna seemed to be content nestling her head against her beloved's shoulder as the kids listened, along with everyone else, as Xenophilius continued his little tale, "In the past, this level of magical blessing has been passed onto a few people throughout history, including, but not limited to, Merlin himself, Morgana Le Fay, which was why she was so powerful and dangerous, even to Myrddin Emrys himself, as well as the four ancient Founders of Hogwarts: Godric Gryffindor, Helga Hufflepuff, Rowena Ravenclaw and Salazar Slytherin."

"Whoa!" gasped Daniel, looking to his adoptive son in a whole new light, while he also listened, along with everyone else, as Xeno continued.

"In fact, as things stand in this day and age, the only figurehead that could come close to the power that these kids will possess one day is a famous alchemist named Nicolas Flamel, along with his wife, Perenelle and, although I have never had the honour of meeting the man, the Grandmaster, or Archmage, as he is more-commonly-known, of the International Confederacy of Wizards: the one they call the living representation of the Word of Emrys, Grandmaster Rameses Wulfgarden himself."

"Blimey!" gasped Emma, sharing in her husband's awe as she too looked not just to her precious ward, but her daughter too.

While Dan and Emma were in awe, Severus and Minerva were shocked, Lily just looked at peace with what she was hearing while, at the same time, Harry and Hermione moved from where they were sitting alongside Luna, who'd chosen to settle herself in the seat on Harry's right-hand side while Hermione was on his left.

Indicating the trio, Pandora went on with the explanations for her husband's sake, "Now that the process is completed and the Great Magic that binds them together has united them and graced them, recognising their true strength as one great force of magical mastery, these three will always be together. Nothing can divide them, no-one can replace them. Insult one and the other two will let you know about it; if one is somehow feeling negative in terms of their emotions, the others will know and comfort them, but, in their own way, they embody magic itself."

Here, she pointed to Hermione before she indicated Harry and finally Luna.

Repeating the motions over and over, as though emphasising the point, Pandora added, "Mind, Body and Spirit: similarly, you may even say they represent the three Stages of Magic's Classes: Light, Grey and Dark, or Black, Grey and White, to use a purer term. In time, each of them will become as powerful as the other, though, even my daughter will admit that it is highly-likely our young Sorcerer Supreme will be the Alpha among them, am I right, little moonbeam?"

"Uh-huh," said Luna, whom Harry and Hermione then laughed at, with friendly intentions and meaning, when she moved to lay her head in her old friend, and betrothed's, lap, holding his hand in hers.

Pandora, meanwhile, indicated the trio once more as she explained in a soft voice, "Individually, as with all wizards, each one of them will possess their own strengths and weaknesses. But together, they will be a force to be reckoned with and, whether you accept it or not, Mr and Mrs Granger, there will be no dividing them, even if you may decide to disagree with their futures, or their intentions towards one another. Now, and forevermore, their fates, their futures and their lives: all are now one as far as they're concerned."

Dan and Emma didn't know what to say.

As they looked at the three kids, however, seeing them huddled together in a way that had Hermione resting her head against Harry's shoulder while both of them seemed content toying with Luna's hair, much to the young girl's delight, both of the Muggles in the room could tell that there was no saying no to what was happening.

Once again, their lives had been transformed and, once again, it was because of the little miracle known as Harry James Potter.

Supreme

While the Grangers were given a brief crash course, courtesy of Remus and Minerva, in what would be expected of the children in the days, weeks, months and years to come, Severus looked once to each of the three blessed ones before he looked to his oldest friend.

Dropping his voice to a whisper, Severus bent down before he whispered in her ear, "Lily…can you please come with me?"

Seeing her son looking so calm, as well as at peace in the presence of his beloveds, Lily nodded once before she rose from her seat, leaving the room as silently as she could manage. Following Severus outside, Lily made sure the door was closed before, turning to her old friend, she was surprised to see a look of absolute loss, pain, remorse and guilt stamped across Severus' face.

"Sev?" asked Lily, earning a flinch from Severus, as though the very mention of the nickname hurt him. "What…what is it? You…you look like you're about to have a heart attack…"

"I…I certainly feel like I do," said Severus, turning to Lily before he gulped hard as he looked deep into her green eyes before he spoke again.

"But, after hearing everything I have just heard in there, I…I can't wait…you see, there…there's something you need to know…about that night…"

Chapter 5 and it looks like things are about to come full-circle, not just for Lily and Harry, but our hero and his two soulmates, but what will such a powerful union do for them when they go to Hogwarts?

Also, how will Lily handle the darkest secret of the Half-Blood Prince and, knowing what she will know, what will she tell her boy, especially in light of what he feels about that night and what happened himself?

But…uh-oh, erm…Snuffles, me old mucker…maybe you were safer in Azkaban, after all;

AN: Book Two

So, as it says above, here is where Book One of this adventure ends and, well, to be honest, the next chapter is basically filler for our heroes' growth, at least until they get to Hogwarts, which is where the following chapter will pick up;

I know it's cheap and cheesy not to go into greater detail about their lives together, but that's my choice;

ALSO, just a little heads-up for those wondering, NO, in this story, Pandora is NOT going to die when Luna is nine.

AN2: Xenophilius

Also, speaking of the Lovegoods, I was reading through the speech with Xenophilius and, weirdly, the actor from the movies who played him – Rhys Ifans – isn't who I heard when I read back through it and had the whole scene playing out in my head.

Instead, as weird as this is going to sound, I actually heard and envisioned Lee Pace – Thranduil from The Hobbit Trilogy – as Xeno, but I REALLY don't know why that's who came to mind; maybe it's the voice, maybe it's the air of mysticism or maybe it's because, unlike DH part 1, Ifans wouldn't be portraying a broken-down traitor;

Whatever the reason, I'm going with Lee Pace for my portrayal in this story: weird? Maybe.

Do I care? What do you think?
